50 Cent is in Las Vegas this week at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) where he is showcasing his new SMS Audio headphones. Fif and DJ Pauly D will also formally announce plans for Pauly D's own SMS Audio headphone line on Thursday.

Spike TV's CES All Access Live is giving tech fans up to the minute streaming coverage of the event. They had the chance to sit down with 50 earlier today to talk about what separates his headphone line from the competition, his frustration with Interscope regarding his upcoming album and his son's love for NBA 2K12.

Check out the Q and A below.

Why get into headphones, everybody is doing it right?

It's an extension to my passion for music. Because I spend more time in the studio mixing material, making sure the sound quality is right than actually creating the idea. The song writing process for me is faster than actually finishing the song.

You've got two pairs. You've got Street and you got Sync which are wireless. Now, you have been a pioneer in a lot of ways. There's a lot of guys doing headphones right now. Dre, your man has Beats by Dre--really successful. So tell me if I gotta decide which one I'm going to buy do you have the better sounding?

I think it's the best sounding wireless headset. Because a lot of the headsets that are out there that are wireless are using blue tooth which was originally created for telecommunications, but the Kleer technology within these headsets allow me to have a 16 bit lossless wireless technology that allows me to be 50 feet away from the single source. That doesn't have any distortion that's still cd quality.

I've seen a lot of mentions from you on your Twitter about your music career. How you have lost faith in it. I saw you apologizing to Jimmy [Iovine]. Are you doing headphones now? Are you still doing music?

I went through the process to write this album, it's been discouraging at points to not see the same efforts from everyone.

You're a big gamer, your son's a big gamer. Are we ever gonna see some headsets for gamers?

Possibly, he's really big on the 2K right now.

NBA 2K?

Yeah, it's amazing how they make the players look like actual people.

Azealia Banks is making a lot of noise in a very short amount of time. The Harlem-bred emcee has been endorsed by Kanye West, who reportedly wants to sign her to his G.O.O.D Music imprint. Gwyneth Paltrow and Kelly Rowland are also said to be fans of the 20-year old's music video "212".

She ranks 3rd on BBC's Sound of 2012 list right behind Frank Ocean as an artist to watch for in 2012 and is booked to play this year's Coachella Festival.

Things are obviously looking up for Azealia, who is as outspoken as she is talented.

When we first featured a story about the LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts graduate in Manhattan, the same school Nicki Minaj attended, she had just finished going in on Kreayshawn via Twitter.

In an interview she did for The Hundreds Magazine: Music Edition, Vol. 3 Issue 2, she goes in on Kreayshawn again and has some not so kind words for Nicki.

Check out what she had to say below.

On Kreayshawn:

"As much as Kreayshawn would love to be considered part of this 'rap game,' she's not.  I guess a part of me is kind of annoyed that those white girls are making these songs, and it's like if these girls were black and making the same songs would you be that interested?"

On Nicki Minaj

"The butt, the hair, the this, the that, all the other sh*t, like... As much respect that I have for her, we've seen you do this already, what else can you do?"

She also talked to BBC about her first record deal signed when she was 16 with XL Recordings. Home to artists such as M.I.A., Radiohead, Beck and Tyler, The Creator. Things didn't exactly go well during her time there and she wound up having a falling out with the company's president Richard Russell.

"It was almost the day I signed to XL that they started checking out," she says. "There were a good seven to eight months where I was just sending them texts and no-one would say anything or pick up the phone or respond to my emails. Nothing. And it started to ruin me. So I started harassing Richard. Like, 'Dude, I'm going to chop your neck off. Answer my emails!'"

When Russell finally got back to her, his response to "212" was not what she expected so she bailed.

"So I was like, this is not what I worked so hard my entire life to do - to be rejected by some English guy in West Bumblefrickin' nowhere London, telling me I'm amateur or something like that. So I just said, 'Screw you!'"

To read more about Azealia pick up The Hundreds new issue when it becomes available Thursday, February 2, 2012.

This might be as close to a Child Rebel Soldier (CRS) album as fans will ever get.

When Kanye West, Pharrell Williams and Lupe Fiasco formed the super group in 2007, expectations were very high that we would hear something special, but other than "Us Placers" and the "Everyone Nose" remix there has been very little music from the trio.

That will possibly change soon as Lupe and Pharell will begin working on a joint album according to Lupe's website. Lupe also announced that his solo album Food and Liquor 2 is on the way.

Are you looking forward to a Lupe/Pharell album? Let us know what you think in the comment section below.

Patrick Allocco and his son are in limbo

The American promoter stuck in Angola with his son because Nas failed to show up for a New Year's Eve concert he was paid $300,000 for is speaking out about his predicament.

As we previously reported, 51-year old Patrick Allocco, CEO of AllGood Concerts and his 22-year old son, also named Patrick have not been allowed to leave Angola until local promoter Henrique "Riquhino" Miguel is paid back the $300,000 he fronted for the failed concert plus an additional $50,000 in expenses.

Nas's rep told TMZ that the rapper didn't travel to Angola because of a miscommunication about his travel arrangements, but according to Allocco and the Miami Herald, Nas was in Miami at a party thrown by Lebron James on New Year's Eve.

12349160273?profile=original

Allocco said when he landed at Quatro de Fevereiro International Airport on December 30 he found out Nas and the opening act Jemiah Jai were not coming. When Miguel was informed there would be no concert he became furious. Fearing for their safety, Allocco and his son hailed a cab to take them to the U.S. Embassy, but instead of taking them there the cab driver drove them to a parking lot where they were surrounded by two dozen gun-toting men. The men turned out to be Miguel's boyguards. They took the Allocco's to the police who interrogated them in Portuguese--which they do not speak for seven hours.

"When we first arrived at the jail for questioning, they made sure to show me where I would be staying if I couldn’t get the act or the money right away," Allocco told New Jersey.com. "It was a Third World holding cell that smelled of sweat and human body odor."

U.S. Embassy Vice Consul David Josar intervened and had the pair moved to a hotel in the capital city of Luanda, where they are holed up. Aside from battling dysentery the pair are said to be fine, but no resolution has been reached to get them home. They haven't been arrested but their passports are being held.

Alloco says Nas has sent $200,000 of the money to his attorney.

"He is supposed to send another $100,000, but now he is reneging," Allocco said. "The investigation could last forever."

Allocco's wife has spoken to representatives from the State Department and U.S. Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen’s (R-11th Dist.) office.

"I just want them home," she said.

"After we became aware last week of Mr. Allocco’s predicament in Angola, Congressman Frelinghuysen reached out to Ambassador Christopher McMullen and our office has been in regular contact with U.S. embassy staff," said Steve Wilson, a spokesman for the congressman. "We understand that Mr. Allocco and his son are safe and negotiations to allow them to return home will hopefully be concluded soon. In the meantime, we remain in touch with the Allocco family here in New Jersey."

Allocco has worked in Colombia, Trinidad and India without incident in the past. Booking shows for acts like Jermaine Jackson, James Brown and Earth Wind & Fire.

Jennifer Lopez is open to appearing on the upcoming return of "In Living Color" according to Access Hollywood. Lopez got her big break when she was a 'Fly Girl' on the groundbreaking sketch comedy series created by Keenen Ivory Wayans.

I haven’t heard from [Keenen], but if he called me and wanted me to do something, that would be awesome,” Jennifer told Access on Sunday.

Lopez says she owes a lot to Keenan and the show that was also served as a launching pad for the careers of Jim Carrey, David Alan Grier, Tommy Davidson, Jamie Foxx and Damon Wayans.

I owe Keenen a lot," Jennifer said. "From the beginning of my career, he always believed in me, he always was constantly putting in my brain, ‘You’re gonna be a star, you’re gonna be a star, do you know that?’ And he was a mentor to me so I wish him the best with that.”

"In Living Color" is set to air two new half hour episodes on Fox this Spring. If the ratings are good the show will be picked up by the network for the following season.

The show will feature an all new cast, but it's a safe bet Keenen would find a spot for Lopez in a skit if she wanted to appear.
