(WGN) -- CHICAGO — Singer R. Kelly was released Saturday from Cook County Jail after paying more than $161,000 in back child support.

Kelly, 52, was taken into custody Wednesday after failing to the pay child support to his ex-wife. The singer during a court appearance earlier this week only had a third of what he owed. A judge refused to let Kelly pay in installments.

It was not immediately clear who posted money on Kelly's behalf Saturday. Cook County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Sophia Ansari said a payment was made Saturday morning.

Kelly is also facing 10 counts of felony aggravated criminal sexual abuse. Cook County prosecutors allege he abused a woman and three girls over the span of 12 years. Kelly met one of the alleged victims at her 16th birthday dinner, prosecutors said. Another, also 16, sought an autograph outside his 2008 trial for child pornography; he was acquitted in that case.

Ed Genson, Kelly's attorney for the 2008 trial, made headlines earlier this week — telling the Chicago Sun-Times that Kelly "was guilty as hell" in 2008.

Genson, 77, told the newspaper he arranged for Kelly to get shots of libido-killing drugs to keep the singer from getting into further trouble.

“He was guilty as hell!” Genson said. “I don’t think he’s done anything inappropriate for years. I’ll tell you a secret: I had him go to a doctor to get shots, libido-killing shots. That’s why he didn’t get arrested for anything else.”

I have to just start off honestly, this guy deserves a listen.

Hailing from North Atlanta, Buice is a 19 year old emcee. A creative word smith with a vibe all his own. His new single "Head High" has immediately set him apart from other artists I've heard recently, and quickly placed him on my personal "stay alert for new music" list.

"Head High" holds a melodic feel. Its catchy and different. Now heres what really got me...the hook for "Head High" is a slowed delivered piece. It fits perfectly to the well crafted instrumental produced by "Coop." But almost to well. To the point where I questioned, "how exactly would one rap to this...it sounds to slow." But thats the beautiful thing about music and creativity, you never know what someone else hears.

And Buice has a very ingenious ear. He came in with such a different and perfect style. The flow pattern couldn't have been smoother. The word play was visionary...and most importantly, there was so much content bar for bar through out the song. It isn't every day that I become a fan from the first song i hear from an artist, but Buice is something different. i am looking forward to what he comes with next, and after one listen, I am sure you will be too.

Check Out "Head High" on Soundcloud Today!

It has become a custom, to get excited when something from the KonquestNow squad crosses our desk. In a lane all their own. every artist on the label brings something different and unique. The quality is always professional and the content always requires a few replays so your brain can compute everything it was being given. Add to that the satisfactory feeling of getting some real and original, and you have to agree they are building something legendary.

The teams craft is universal and out of this universe at the same time. And that shines through on the new single "Starfield."  The song itself is from the lyrically unorthodox emcee VerseBorn, featuring Dox Boogie and Wreck The Rebel. The beat itself if such a classic West Coast sound blended with a classic East Coast drum line, making it immediately stand out to your ears.  It draws you in holds you until your head has been nodding and you haven't noticed. Almost hypnotically. As each emcee takes the mic the single builds momentum.  All three artist shine apart and together they take us to those seldom situations where the lyrics, drown out one cold ass instrumental.

"Starfield" is now available on all major streaming platforms.

Stephen A. Smith, Max Kellerman and Will Cain analyze the Golden State Warriors' recent lackadaisical stretch. The trio discuss Steve Kerr's "time to turn it up" comments and if he's signaling the Warriors to push for the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference and seal home-court advantage, avoiding a potential Game 7 on the road vs. the Houston Rockets or Denver Nuggets.

"When ya hot, everyone's hitting ya line for a quote/
when ya not -all you hear is silence and dial tones/
when ya hot it's check how my cuban shines my diamonds glow
when ya not, it's we all born alone and die alone/
Highs and Lows" - AWAR

The dichotomy of the leveled up highs vs. the sinking lows in life plays heavily into the new AWAR song and visual "Highs and Lows", produced by DITC legend Showbiz. The reflective riding joint appears on AWAR's recent album, "Spoils of War"

https://youtu.be/--81KTqMnSk

I wrote this joint the same month that I lost two cherished family members, meanwhile my first born child was on the way. I think that accurately describes the ups and downs I was feeling at the time and we all have different coping mechanisms for the joy and pain that is life. The studio happens to be my outlet for that.

After dropping a gem of an album, "Spoils of War" back in October; which included Guests including Jadakiss, Styles P, Raekwon, Scarface and Anthony Hamilton, as well as production from Alchemist, Nottz, Jake One, Lord Finesse, Showbiz, Statik Selektah, Vanderslice and more; AWAR continues to drop visuals off his latest opus. If you haven't copped the vinyl, CD, tape, or Digital copy yet, head over to AWAR's page to listen and support.

CARROLLTON, Mississippi (AP) — A Mississippi man shot and killed his wife and two other people at her birthday party last week after she tried to stop him from driving drunk, investigators said.

Michael Barnhill, 30, of Winona, is charged with three counts of homicide and two counts of attempted murder, news outlets reported.

Carroll County Sheriff Clint Walker said Barnhill is jailed without bond. It was not immediately clear Wednesday whether Barnhill is represented by an attorney who could comment on the charges.

Witnesses told investigators that Marlee Jones Barnhill kept the keys to the couple’s truck during the gathering Friday, the night before what would have been her 27th birthday.

“These were all good friends having a nice time together,” Walker said in a statement released after Barnhill appeared in court on Monday. “Michael Barnhill, however, became drunk and belligerent during the course of the evening. The others discouraged his drunkenness, and he became angry and combative.”

The sheriff said Marlee Barnhill kept the truck keys “to prevent him driving away in his drunken state.”

“Marlee was trying to do the right thing to protect his life and the lives of other drivers,” Walker said.

Walker said Michael Barnhill got a pistol out of the truck, slapped a cigarette out of her hand and shot her in the chest, then fatally shot the party’s hosts, 44-year-old Jim Harrell and his 39-year-old wife, Brooks Harrell. Two other women went upstairs to protect the Harrells’ 10-year-old son, who was asleep.

Marlee Barnhill and Jim Harrell died at the home, and Brooks Harrell died as emergency responders were taking her to a helicopter that was waiting to fly her to a Jackson hospital, the sheriff said.

Walker said Michael Barnhill left the home but returned while deputies were there, and he acted as though he didn’t know what happened. The surviving witnesses, though, identified him as the shooter and the deputies arrested him after a brief struggle, Walker said.

Video After The Jump

(CNN) -- The Boulder Police Department has launched an internal investigation after an encounter between a group of officers and a black man was captured on video and circulated online.

The video, which was published on YouTube and on social media, was filmed on the morning of March 1 in Boulder, Colorado. It shows a man with a bucket and a long item in a front yard of a townhouse complex. An officer appears to be talking to the man and has his hand on his hip.

"He's picking up trash," the person filming says repeatedly, as the man and the officer exchange words at a distance. "He lives here," the person filming says. The officer is then joined by other officers and the man and the officers appear to be yelling at each other. The video ends with all the officers walking away.

Three days later, the Boulder Police Department released a statement that recounted officers' version of events and announced an internal affairs investigation.
"A Boulder police officer observed a man sitting in a partially enclosed patio area directly behind a 'Private Property' sign and initiated contact with the man to determine if he was allowed to be on the property," the department said.

After the man said he was a resident of the property and provided ID, the incident continued.
"The officer detained the man to investigate further and made a request over the radio for additional assistance to respond, indicating that the person was uncooperative and unwilling to put down a blunt object."

The "blunt object" was determined to be a grabber used to pick up trash, something the person filming the video stated several times.

"Officers ultimately determined that the man had a legal right to be on the property and returned the man's school identification card," the release concluded. "All officers left the area and no further action was taken."

In recent months, instances of civilians and police confronting black citizens have attracted national attention, and it didn't take long for the incident in Boulder to spark ire in the community. On Tuesday evening, the Boulder City Council Meeting was filled with angry and concerned citizens demanding answers.

"This is a very concerning issue, and one we're taking very seriously," Police Chief Greg Testa told the crowd. "All aspects of this incident, specifically the actions of the initial officer, are being investigated."
Testa also pushed back on the assertion that the officers had their guns drawn during the encounter.

"In contrast to what was stated in the video that is on social media, body worn camera video indicates that only one officer had a handgun out, and it was pointed at the ground," he said. "I'm not making excuses, I'm just trying to provide some needed context in terms of that specific aspect."

Testa said the investigation could take months, and the officer at the center of the incident has been placed on administrative leave.

CNNs Keith Allen contributed to this report.

In this clip, Snow Tha Product speaks on the alleged hoax involving Jussie Smollett, stating that by crying wolf "you set everyone back" for your own agenda. With respect to all the groups that may have lost credibility due to their affiliation with Smollett, she theorizes that the disgraced actor should "get beat up by everyone," if that was really the type of attention that he was looking for. Later on, she notes the hypocrisy involved with overly-sensitive people being the actual bullies on the internet, while mentioning that she's trying to raise her son to be tough in a society that's begun to glamorize the victim.
