Even though he is locked behind bars rapper T.I. found a way to do something positive for the families of 14 fellow inmates.
The Grand Hustle CEO sponsored a bus trip dubbed "To See A Love One," allowing 46 family members who would not be able to afford the trip otherwise, to see their loved ones over the Memorial Day weekend.
"I've been blessed to receive tons and tons of mail from my fans, family and friends, as well as get visits on a regular basis. Unfortunately some guys aren't as fortunate," T.I. told MTV via a statement. "There are a lot of good dudes in here that haven't been able to see there loved ones in years. Their families can't afford the trip so I wanted to help out."
Tip has been locked up at Forrest City Correctional Facility in Forrest City, Arkansas since last November for violating his probation, following an arrest in Los Angeles when police found ecstacy on him during a routine traffic stop.
Hip hop newcomer Kreayshawn is a million dollars richer today after Sony inked her to a recording contract, Miss Info reports.
The Oakland rapper/filmmaker and self proclaimed "rap beast" first gained some local attention by filming music videos for Bay Area artists, most notably Lil B. It wasn't long before she went into the booth herself to record the mixtape 'Kittys X Choppas' which spawned the local hit and video 'Bumpin Bumpin.' But it wasn't until she released the video for "Gucci Gucci" did major labels start scrambling to sign her.
With a label deal now secured, Kreayshawn and her White Girl Mob crew (Kreayshawn, her sister V-Nasty and DJ Lil Debbie) are ready to take on the hip hop world. The only question is, is hip hop ready for them?
Check out the videos below and let us know if you think the White Girl Mob has what it takes to make it.
Kreayshawn "Gucci Gucci"

V-Nasty (White Girl Mob) "Freestyling On You Barbie Hoes"
The world's most infamous rap duo hit up the West Coast last night and did their thing at the House of Blues on Sunset Blvd. in Los Angeles.
Mobb Deep's Prodigy and Havoc brought out 40 Glocc, Big Noyd and Ron Artest as they ran through hit after classic hit.
Check out the footage as the Mobb performs "Shook Ones Part II", "Give Up The Goods (Just Step), "Keep It Thoro", "Godfather Pt III", "The Infamous" and much more!
With blogosphere speculation rife about his much talked about debut album, much of which has still left his adoring fans very much in the dark about, J.Cole took to his Ustream to give everyone an insight into the forthcoming LP and it’s first official single.
During the Ustream, lightskin Jermaine teases fans with his album title, speaks on his next single that samples an unnamed Kanye West song, confirmed that Jay-Z and Trey Songz will appear on the album, releasing a mixtape in the summer, releasing two albums in a year and discussed producing music for Wale, Kendrick Lamar, and Fabolous.
Lil Kim made quite a splash in Zimbabwe as she took the stage at the inaugural Zarfest in the capital city of Harare.
Kim rocked the crowd with some of her classic hits before paying homage to Notorious B.I.G. and Michael Jackson. The Queen Bee performed "One More Chance" and "Juicy" followed by Billie Jean to close out her set.
Ciara and DJ Scratch also performed at the event, while Timbaland was a no show.
A video message from Timbo was played for the disappointed crowd, explaining that he wouldn't be able to make it due to unforseen difficulties that were out of his control.
The four day music festival now moves on to South Africa for shows in Durban (June 1), Cape Town (June 2) and Johannesburg (June 3).
Check out pics of Lil Kim arriving at the airport and in concert.
Amber Rose is not at all happy with a recent article about her that appears in Vibe Magazine. According to Rose the magazine misquoted her and printed outright lies in some instances.
"Just read "my" interview in @VibeMagazine half of the story was untrue & ridiculous!" she wrote on Twitter yesterday. "F##K that Cover F##K @VibeMagazine yall wrote a bunch of negative bullsh*t that I never said or did. Yall don't give a f*ck that I have a Mom & Family thats gonna read that fake ass sh*t I gave yall a truthful interview & Yall f##ked me. I'm so sick of keeping my mouth shut I didn't ask for this life it was handed to me I was nothing but nice to everyone I spoke to @ Vibe,"
Rose didn't clarify which parts of the story were untrue.
The article quotes her as saying she still loves Kanye West, but not in a "sexual way." And that she and New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush had an affair after she split from Yeezy, "we were each other's rebound."
Rose also supposedly talked about not growing up rich and Kanye telling her she would become an icon.
"I don't have rich parents, and it's a struggle. I can't just call my dad and be like, 'Dad, my money is a little messed up. Can you buy me a car or a house?' It's not like that for me."

Chicago born author, poet and musician Gil Scott-Heron passed away Friday at the age of 62. He died at St. Lukes Hospital in New York City after becoming ill following a trip to Europe.
Dubbed The Godfather of Rap by some, a title he rejected, Scott-Heron has influenced scores of rappers with his spoken word poetry that he described as "black music or black American music."
His most well known song "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised" was recorded when he was just 18-years old for the album 'Small Talk at 125th and Lenox.' In total Scott-Heron recorded fifteen studio albums and nine live discs throughout his career. Most recently 'I'm New Here' in 2010.
Scott-Heron also penned several novels and books of poetry.
Many rappers including Kanye West, Common, Mos Def, MF Doom and RBX sampled his work.
Upon hearing the news of his passing many in the hip hop and r&b community tweeted their condolences.
"I just learned of the lost of a very important poet...R.I.P. Gil Scott Heron. The revolution will be live!!" Usher tweeted.
Chuck D of Public Enemy wrote: "RIP GSH..and we do what we do and how we do because of you. And to those that don't know tip your hat with a hand over your heart & recognize."
