Hip Hop pioneers Public Enemy will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with the class of 2013 according to Rolling Stone.

Public Enemy are only the fourth hip-hop act to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They join Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five (2007), Run-D.M.C. (2009) and the Beastie Boys (2011).

P.E., led by emcee Chuck D and hype man Flavor Flav are known for their politically charged songs and albums. Their first three albums, 1987's Yo! Bum Rush the Show, 1988's It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back and 1990's Fear of a Black Planet were all named to Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time list.

As we reported earlier, former correctional officer turned gangster rapper Rick Ross has come out claiming that he didn't cancel the rest of his Maybach Music Group tour because he feared the GD's (Gangster Disciples). Ross instead put the blame on his promoter, but a new report has surfaced that says the Chicago Police Department is looking into threats the rapper received from the GD's.

"Never was it due to any threats," Ross told Miami radio station WEDR, of the cancelled tour dates. "I was just in Chicago a week and a half ago. That's the birth place of the GD's. And if I'll go to Chicago to handle my business like I did I have no problem going to North Carolina."

Video tapes have hit the nets with factions of the GD's in several states warning Ross he can't perform anywhere they are located.

Today TMZ is reporting that the Chicago PD was made aware of the videos and are looking into them.

Back in September Freddie "Gangsta" Gibbs formed his new ESGN imprint and released his Baby Face Killa project through a deal with EMPIRE Distribution. Many wondered why the release didn't come through Young Jeezy's CTE imprint who Freddie was signed to at the time.

Today that questioned was answered when Freddie announced that he and The Snowman had parted ways. Freddie told The Breakfast Club that there was no bad blood, but he felt the time was right to make the move from a business standpoint.

"At the end of the day it was a goo decision for myself and my family," Freddie said. "It wasn't nothing against him or none of that. It's just a move that I had to make personally and business wise. We just move in different ways. It's just best that he move in his way, best that I move in my way."

Trinidad James' song "All Gold Everything" is getting a lot of attention these days and the phrase he spits "popped a Molly I'm sweating, whoo!" is very popular on social media and in the streets.

"Molly," short for molecule is MDMA (ecstacy) in powder or crystalline form. It has become the "it" drug in hip hop. Many artists from Juicy J to Kanye West have named dropped the drug in songs, but it's Trinidad who is getting the most attention for it.

12349699078?profile=original

MTV spoke to the Atlanta rapper about the drug and why he thinks it has become so popular.

"All the people are like, 'I don't know what it is, but every time I hear the song, I just wanna do it,' " James said. "That's a terrible excuse, but go 'head, get high, go 'head. Blame Trinidad, blame it on me."

James said it's not a drug he abuses. He thinks it's just a good way to get a party started.

"I might go months without doin' anything and then I'll be like, you know, when I'm in L.A., I wanna party with these people. I feel like I can't get turnt up fast enough, I'm just gonna do this," he said.

12349698893?profile=original

Juicy J, Chris Webby and others also chimed in on the drug's popularity.

"I just think people are more open now. Back then, some people were just keeping it on the low and doin' it how they want to do it," Juicy J added. "Now people are a little more like, 'F*ck that.' This year everybody's like, 'F*ck that sh*t, yeah I'm on Molly.' "

"Now it's a like super acceptable thing," Webby says. "Before Molly it was just straight E pills, but now Molly is just so much cleaner. That's become the new trend."

What do you think of hip hop's fascination with Molly?
