Deb Antney is dealing with the loss of her son, Kayo Redd, and struggling to make sense of the tragedy. As we previously reported, Kayo died of a self inflicted gunshot wound on Sunday (December 29, 2013).
Ms. Antney spoke with Dennis Byron of HipHopEnquirer and gave some insight as to why it may have happened. Kayo was pursuing a rap career like his older brother, Waka Flocka Flame, but he had not yet reached the same level of success.
His mother told Dennis that Kayo was struggling with the fact that he couldn't help provide for her like Waka. He also recently underwent eye surgery and was having complications as a result of it.
Deb issued a brief statement to HHE regarding her son's passing.
He had just left my house and he headed down the street and the next thing I knew was my son was dead. My son was a good kid and I never had any problems with him. I just don’t know why he would do such a thing.

Kanye West wants to turn over a new leaf. Maybe becoming a father is mellowing him out. Or perhaps he's just tired of repeating the same things over and over ad nauseum.
At a recent show at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, West said he was going to stop the epic rants that have become a part of his interviews ("you don't have the answers Sway!") and concerts for at least six months.
"Everything I'm saying that's not allowed, soak it in right now," he said, "This might be the last time y'all hear me talk sh*t for a long time. Might be another, like, six months. At least. You're just gonna have to run back the interviews and sh*t if you wanna hear some realness."
I've never seen anyone that likes to hear himself talk as much as West. Six months will be an eternity for him. You guys think Yeezy can go radio silence for that long?

Here's a new tune from Roscoe Dash featuring Waka Flocka Flame entitled "Whassup." Check out what Roscoe had to say about the track below.
It was really organic. We could have been rushed back in the studio to duplicate the success of No Hands. We pass each other and critique each others work in the studio all the time. But the timing of this song felt right. So we accomplish what we wanted to. A sound that continues what we started yet its fresh enough to kick off 2014!
