NEW YORK — Rapper Foxy Brown has been indicted on charges of violating an order of protection stemming from a 2007 confrontation with her neighbor in New York City. Prosecutors say Brown violated the order in July by screaming at neighbor Arlene Raymond before bending over, baring her buttocks at Raymond and showing her underwear while shouting an obscenity. The 31-year-old Brown was issued the order of protection after pleading guilty in 2008 to menacing Raymond with her cell phone. The two had been in a dispute over Brown blasting her car stereo outside their Brooklyn building. The indictment announced Friday charges Brown, whose real name is Inga Marchand, with criminal contempt in the second degree. She could face up to one year in jail. A lawyer for Brown did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Source: AP twitter-2a.png

Lindsay Lohan's 'Machete' promo poster is hidden deep on the movie's website, but it sure is causing a stir! Lohan -- who will begin her 90-day prison sentence on July 20 -- is dressed in a nun's habit and licking a gun. In the film, Lohan plays a gun-toting avenger called "The Sister."

Days after the actress was sentenced for violating her probation, the film's trailer was released without Lohan -- though her name briefly appears in the credits. In the film, Lohan reportedly goes topless while swimming in a waterfall with Alicia Rachel Marek, the actress who plays her mother.

Robert Rodriguez's film also stars Jessica Alba, Robert De Niro and Michelle Rodriguez. It will be released September 3.

Lohan was sentenced to 90 days in jail followed by a 90-day inpatient rehab program for violating her probation on a previous DUI case. Lohan broke down in tears as Judge Marsha Revel revealed her decision. Lohan must surrender to the court on July 20 at 8:30AM to begin serving her time.

Lohan posed with a gun to her mouth for a Tyler Shields photo shoot earlier this year.

'Machete' hits theaters September 3

Independent Album: The War Report 2

Headliners: Capone-N-Noreaga

Key Collaborations: "Bodega Stories" (featuring the LOX); "With Me" (featuring Nas); and "The Corner" (featuring Avery Storm)

Essential Info: N.O.R.E. says he's grown volumes since his debut, 1997's The War Report, but he couldn't stray too far from his roots on the sequel, released Tuesday (July 13).

"We ain't make something for the radio and we didn't make something for the clubs. We just really made something for the streets," Nore explained to Mixtape Daily.

"Originally, when we made The War Report, I didn't know that Manhattan existed. I didn't know that there was a Brazil. I never been to a Brazil when I made War Report. I might have never been to Brooklyn — I was Queens-ed out! Every verse I wrote, when I wrote for War Report, it was for my 'hood or for Queens. It really was for nothing else, because I never saw nothing else. That's why when you hear that [first album], you be like, 'This dude needs to travel.' It's like, wow, 'Lefrak, Lefrak, Iraq' all over it.

"You can't knock me because I never went anywhere," Nore continued. "The worst people in the 'hood are the people who never go anywhere. Those are the most miserable people because they don't plan on never going nowhere. That's who that kid was [on that album]. That kid you hear spitting on The War Report, he never went nowhere. The furthest he went was to Jamaica — and I mean Queens, not the island. I wasn't crossing these bridges."

While making the new LP, Nore was cognizant that he couldn't be the same rough-around-the-edges teenager again.

"So when I went back and did it this time, I said, 'I have to be cautious. I can't act like that. I done seen the world,' " he remembered.

Asked which War Report 2 cuts he holds in the highest regard, N.O. started with the album's lead record.

"My favorite joint is 'Pain' and 'Brother From Another,' " the LeFrak, Queens, veteran said. " 'Pain' is just like, you know when you get on the Scream Machine [at Six Flags Great Adventure], and there's a certain feel you get in your stomach, 'cause you know, for guys, our ba--s come up. Your ba--s twitter. When I hear 'Pain,' that's that feeling I get over there. It's a certain feeling like, 'Holy sh--. It's about to drop.' "

"Nah, 'Pain' is ill," Nore's partner for 20 years, Capone, offers up. "The first time I heard 'Pain,' I got goose bumps. That song, if you close your eyes and turn off all the lights, you might get scared listening to that joint. We got a joint called 'The Oath.' When you think of an oath, you think of pricked fingers. When you hear this record, you gonna definitely feel like you took an oath. Like you down with us, like you took an oath to be down with C-N-N."

" 'My Attribute' is a great performance record. It's uptempo, has energy. 'Hood Pride' will be a great performance record," Nore added.

With the release of War Report 2, the friendship between these two Queens natives comes full circle. Their bond stood the test of time, and the duo still has many years ahead of them.

"For me, it's like Nore said, our friendship is always gonna get tested," 'Pone explained. "Everybody knows at one point, our friendship got tested. That was publicly noticeable. But we came back stronger. A lot of people, their friendship gets tested. ... When you have a brother and you get older, y'all not always gonna live together for the rest of your life: You move out the house, he goes one way, you go the other way. But y'all still brothers."

When Michael Jackson’s denim jacket from his Jackson 5 days sold for $26,000 — more than five times its estimated sale price — it was the first indication that the late pop star’s belongings were going to sell for more money than anyone may have anticipated.

Even his brothers’ and sisters’ items were selling for thousands at Julien’s Auctions summer sale on Friday at Planet Hollywood. On the one-year anniversary of Jackson’s death, everything was a hot commodity.

Fans, bidders and curious passersby filled the auction area at Planet Hollywood for the nearly six hours of bidding on 251 lots of Jackson memorabilia.

But there was one item that everyone really came to see — one of Jackson’s signature Swarovski crystal-studded gloves.

After nearly 150 lots and much anticipation, the glove finally made its appearance.

At an auction in November in New York, a glove Jackson wore when performing his signature moonwalk for the first time at the “Motown 25” concert in 1983 sold for $420,000.

“I’ll start the bidding at $1 just so you all can say that you bid on Michael Jackson’s glove,” auctioneer Kathleen Guzman said as bidders raised their paddles in a frenzy.

Then the real bidding began. It started at $31,000 and rose to more than $100,000 within seconds.

Julien’s Auctions employees raised their own studded-gloved hands furiously as competing bids came in from anonymous bidders over the phone and online.

In the end, a $160,000 bid from Wanda Kelley of Los Angeles won out. The glove was expected to see for between $20,000 and $30,000.

Kelley said she was prepared to go higher than her $160,000 winning bid, but she was reluctant to say how much higher.

“Let’s just say I wasn’t walking out of here without that glove,” Kelley said coyly shortly after claiming her prize.

Aside from the glove, Kelley scooped up most of the gold records in the Jackson collection. She said she’s been a fan all her life but wasn’t aware that today marked the anniversary of his death.

“I’ve just been so busy. I was up in my hotel room watching CNN and it was a surprise to me to hear it was the anniversary,” Kelley said.

Julien’s Auctions owner Darren Julien said the price of Jackson memorabilia has skyrocketed since his death last June. That was more than obvious during Friday’s sale. Julien said Jackson's 251 lots sold for $1.98 million, nearly double what the auction house originally expected.

His MTV music video award, priced between $6,000 and $8,000 in the Julien’s catalog, sold for $37,500. Handwritten lyrics to “Bad” went for $8,000, 10 times its estimated sale price. A signed fedora went for $45,000 and a corduroy shirt for $23,000.

The jacket Jackson wore during his 1996 wedding to Debbie Rowe sold for $60,000 to a woman sitting with Anna Nicole Smith’s former boyfriend and the father of Smith’s daughter, Larry Birkhead. The T-shirt Jackson wore in his “Beat It” video sold for $36,000, and an autographed replica of the jacket he wore in the video went for $110,000.

Susie Lopez of California paid $24,000 for a caricature drawn and signed by Jackson. Lopez traveled to Las Vegas with the goal of picking up one his drawings after losing a bidding war at a New York auction in November.

“The drawings are just so personal, not like some of the other items up for bid. I don’t think people realize what a great artist he was,” Lopez said as she held her catalog marked with other items she was interested in. “I got what I came for.”

Noboru Ochiai scooped up one of the priciest items of the afternoon, a custom jacket for $100,000, along with a fedora for $37,500. Both were worn by Jackson during a 1997 interview with Barbara Walters.

Ochiai was bidding for Japanese pop star and magician Princess Tenko.

He was hoping to pick up a pair of Jackson’s autographed black loafers for Princess Tenko, but he lost to an anonymous bidder on the phone who purchased the pair for $75,000.

As for the glove, Ochiai wasn’t even considering bidding. “Too expensive,” he said.

Donning their Jackson T-shirts and “I love MJ” bracelets, Kandice Jones of Las Vegas and her daughter Deanna didn’t come to bid but to remember Jackson and compare prices with their own memorabilia.

Kandice Jones said she’s been collecting Jackson memorabilia since 1979 and has lost count of how many pieces she owns today. Perfume bottles once owned by Jackson, an autographed copy of his “Thriller” album and a signed Jackson doll are among her most prized possessions.

Her love of Jackson has become a family affair passed on to her children.

“I really didn’t realize how passionate I was about him until he died,” Deanna Jones said. “I was crying for days.”

The Jones family was devoting the day to celebrating and remembering Jackson, beginning with a memorial service Friday morning and the auction in the afternoon.

Later tonight, they’ll be watching their VCR tape copy of his memorial service from last year and making one of Jackson’s favorite dishes — cheese enchiladas.

I’m known as “the King.” Although it’s disputed by some, concurred by most, there ain’t no disputing that lion—that is what it is. So I went and told them, “Get me as close as you can to a lion.” He had a trainer holding him on a chain. They took the chain out [in post-work]. It really went down. I wanted to pet him. I said, “Let me get hands on.” They were like, “No. We could only let you do but so much.” So I did as much as they would allow me to do.

I figured we had to do some kind of slick and meaningful imagery to say the obvious without doing the obvious. I tried to flip it as much as I could. I wanted it to be a a busy city street. My original idea was to lock down Times Square and let me and the lion do the same thing right there, but we couldn’t quite pull that off; they said it had to be in controlled environment. They tried to do a artsy kind of drawing. It looked good, but it didn’t serve my purpose—it was just a painting. I figured, if it got to be a controlled environment, we may as well just keep it all the way simple make it black and white, white background, me, him, cool chair.

It says itself; it’s self-explanatory. I don’t have to write “King;” I don’t have to write “Uncaged.” Everything is right there. It’s said. [My record label, Atlantic] knows by now to rock with me. We done did this enough times before. On the King album when I didn't really want to show my face, that wasn’t really looked at as the ideal move to make, but I feel like iconic imagery speaks for itself. You ain’t got to beat people in the head with what you’re trying to say. Everything understood don’t need to be explained.

Video After The Jump

Chris Brown's career is at a crossroads. The singer's last album, 2009's 'Graffiti' wasn't the commercial success he had hoped. And coming on the heels of his physical assault of then girlfriend Rihanna maybe that backlash from fans should have been expected.

Feeling like pop radio has abandoned him, the R&B star has gone in a totally different direction on his new mixtape 'Fan Of A Fan'. A collaborative effort with Young Money rapper Tyga.

A new video from the tape for the song "No Bullsh*t" is already stirring controversy and dividing some of his long time fans because of it's sometimes R-rated content.

The video shows Chris getting his "grown man" on with a young lady. With shots of him licking, kissing and doing other things that you usually don't see in a music video. Especially one from the usually more reserved Chris Brown.

As one fan, hupakoe05 wrote in the comment section of the video on youtube.

"it's one thing to grow up... it's another to sell out.... be different...you have to put out a ass-licking video cause everybody else is? smh"

Another fan, tashatambara had a completely different take on it

"Chris BREZZY IS THE SHIT... I LOVE HIM so much.. this song got me... Good video .. i love his dance steps.. every move and heart beat was so passionate... for all d negative comments on dis video, y'll shud appreciate hardwork and dont hate... cos Chris is Fly, and y'all probably not even by the terminal....."

Chris addresses his fans on Twitter about the video, writing, "just so u know.. all these videos r for you.. the fans. Ive never done it for the industry or approval of my peers(other artists) i do it for u... everyone else can just follow my lead".

Every artist with a teen fan base like a Chris Brown or a Miley Cyrus has to make a decision to either keep making bubbly pop songs or try to gain an adult audience.

Looks like Chris has made his decision, now he has to hope the fans will be ok with it.

Videos After The Jump

A Georgia history teacher is in hot water after allowing several students to wear KKK robes to school for a play.

Catherine Ariemma, who teaches at Lumpkin County High School was suspended by the school after several African American students and one parent complained.

It's understandable that students would be upset. They were eating lunch when the students wearing KKK robes strolled through the cafeteria. None of the students at lunch had any idea the outfits were for a school play.

Ariemma says she made the mistake of letting her students walk through the cafeteria because she wasn't thinking. Her class has first period lunch. Another teacher confronted her afterwards.

"That's when I heard there were a couple of students who were upset," Ariemma said.

School Superintendent Dewey Maye told the Associated Press. "This stuff happened in history, Do you ignore it? No. But you certainly don't walk the hallway in the garb."

Student Cody Rider told WSB-TV he was ready to take care of the situation himself if need be.

"I was sitting in the lunchroom and my little cousin taps me on the shoulder -- he's also African-American -- and he was scared," he said. "There was fear in his eyes. I was like, 'What is it? I looked up and they just walked through the lunchroom in white sheets. So, I mean me, I got mad and stood up and I tried to go handle it."

Ariemma, who has taught at the school for six years, feels like she made a poor decision, but would accept her fate if she is fired.

"I am a good teacher, I speak the truth, I tell the truth. I suppose if some decides it's the end, it's the end."

It probably is the end and with good reason in my opinion.
