BallerStatus Reports Adam "Pacman" Jones' off-the-field behavior may have ended his pro football prematurely, after both the NFL and CFL turn their backs on him. Back in January, the Dallas Cowboys cut Jones from their roster, due to his off-the-field conduct. He was limited to just six games last season after an off-field scuffle with a member of the security detail provided by the team. In 2007, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell suspended the former first-round draft pick of the Tennessee Titans for his part in a 2007 shooting outside a Las Vegas strip club. Following the loss of interest from the NFL, Jones has reportedly begun to talk to CFL teams. Just this week, it was announced that he would play for the CFL's Winnipeg Blue Bombers. However, the team said Wednesday (September 2) that they had ended their pursuit of the controversial ex-NFL cornerback. "It is unfortunate that this situation became public; however, our position has remained consistent," Blue Bombers coach Mike Kelly said in a statement. "We will pursue athletes that we believe will contribute to our organization on and off the field. Jones' personal antics has cost him a lot of money. While he lost close to $1.6 million during his 2007 suspension, he ended up with a cool six-figure salary as a Dallas Cowboy. That ended though. If he would've landed in Canada, his salary would've been around $60,000. Pacman Jones was the sixth-overall pick in the 2005 NFL Draft by the Tennessee Titans. While his career started off slowly, he showed signs of greatness when he broke out in his sophomore season, leading the league in punt return average with 12.9 yards, and ranked seventh in the league in kick return average. However, it's always been his behavior off-the-field that had teams worried, even from the beginning of his career. Here's a quote from Wikipedia about the troubles he gave he Titan immediately after being drafted: After his junior year, Jones opted to forgo his senior year and declare eligible for the NFL Draft. He was the first defensive player drafted, taken sixth overall by the Tennessee Titans in the 2005 NFL Draft. He then missed most of training camp, holding out in a contract dispute. According to then-Titans general manager Floyd Reese, the Titans were concerned over several off-the-field incidents that happened immediately after the draft, as well as a fight that landed him on probation while he was at West Virginia. Reese said that contract talks broke down when Jones initially balked at the Titans' proposed safeguards, but agreed that he wouldn't be paid any guaranteed or bonus money if he were ever convicted of a crime. Despite the loss of interest from the NFL and CFL, the United Football League has shown interest, according to a report from AOL's BlackVoices. Their season starts in October. Other troubled NFL stars who played in the CFL while trying to jump-start their careers include Ricky Williams, Andre Rison and Lawrence Phillips. Will Pacman ever get another chance in the NFL? Michael Vick did right? What do you think?

USWeekly Reports Despite having breast implants, both Kendra Wilkinson and Kourtney Kardashian still want to breastfeed, the moms-to-be tell the new issue of Us Weekly (on newsstands now). "I was so scared that I wasn't going to be able to nurse that when I saw stuff come out of my nipples the other day, I was like, I can breast-feed?" Wilkinson, 24, tells Us Weekly in an exclusive joint interview with Kardashian, 30. "And I asked my doctor, who said, 'That's fine, but it's not milk yet!'" Ughhhh! I didn't need to know that ! Adds Kardashian (who, like Wilkinson, is also due in December), "They say usually you can [breast-feed with implants]. I want to." Damn I didn't know Kourtney had implants, did you?

NY Daily News Reports Hip-hop superstar Jay-Z slammed scalpers on Tuesday who snapped up low-priced tickets for his 9/11 charity show at Madison Square Garden and began reselling them for a huge profit. "We are truly disheartened that certain individuals would choose to benefit from what is meant to be a 100% charitable event," he said in a statement. "We do not support any profits made from reselling any ticket that was meant to be purchased by honest fans." Tickets to Friday's show were purposely set low at $54.50 to make it accessible to fans struggling in tough economic times. The proceeds were to benefit the widows and orphans of New York City cops and firefighters who died in the line of duty. The approximately 20,000 tickets sold out in moments on Tuesday and started showing up on resale sites for $200 to $3,000 - inflated profits that will go into the scalpers' pockets. One site was offering tickets for $45,000 each. "I don't think that's what Jay-Z's intentions were," said Maureen Brown, 48, of Harlem, one of several fans. "I couldn't even get seats in the nosebleeds," she said, after spending 2-1/2 hours clicking her way through Ticketmaster's Web site. A presale for Citibank cardholders was supposed to last from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., but Brown said she kept getting a message that said no tickets were available. "I've never had any problems any other time. So who is getting these tickets?" she asked. Kevin Lee, 39, of Harlem, said he was told at 9:01 a.m. there were no tickets available. Five other family members and friends were also trying - and failing - to buy tickets. "I think something fishy was going on," Lee said. "I think the general public was really cut out. I guess you have to have deep pockets to get into this show." John Neary, treasurer of the New York Police and Fire Widows' and Children's Benefit Fund, called the situation "a shame." "But I don't think we can do anything about it," he said. "This happens with an awful lot of shows." Jay-Z said he had taken steps to head off the ticket brokers. "Tickets were consciously made available for sale as close to the concert date as possible to avoid traditional scalping," his statement said. For those who can't be at the show - Jay-Z's only New York concert this year - it will be broadcast live on the Fuse network. Brown, who took off work Friday because she anticipated getting tickets for the show, said she might just go down to Madison Square Garden anyway. "I want to go down there Friday and see who is getting these tickets," she said.

Crooked I Releasing "Pig Face Weapon Waist"

HipHopWired Reports Slaughterhouse is still in full effect even though their album has released. On the solo tip, Crooked I is the next to step up as he is preparing his EP titled Pig Face Weapon Waist which is slated to drop September 2 through digital download. Speaking with Joell Ortiz, HipHopWired was able to gain insight on the movements and the strategic planning behind every solo and group release that they have in store. “Nothing will be sporadic when dealing with anything Slaughterhouse. It will all be in sequence; it will all be timed. We're not one of those groups to just put things out and it's all going to be thought out and planned and we're going to make sure that in 2010, people are going to be talking about us.” For those that question the title of the EP, it is actually the alter-ego of the West Coast rapper as he has done stage performances with a pig mask on and was dressed in a Dickie suit. For those that are still scratching their heads and are still puzzled, hey…it must be creativity and expression of the artist. The digital release will feature the likes of K-Young, Tha Outlawz' EDI and of course another posse cut from the growing sensation that is Slaughterhouse. “Guess Who's Back” will serve as the first single for the release and will find him pairing up with Snoop Dogg on the track. Clearly the two have been able to put the past behind them and see the light at the end of the tunnel as Snoop, once released from Death Row Records, had his beef with Suge Knight. At the time of the beef, Crooked was under the record label which fueled an unknown rivalry between the two. In regards to the tension, Crooked stated that a call was made from Snoop and a one on one showed that there was actually no beef between the two and only miscommunication. In the end, business outweighs everything and anything that can promote good business will be fully taken advantage of. With collaborations such as this, the West may soon be able to resurrect itself and lead the charge once again.

HipHopWired Reports While C-Murder begins his life sentence in a New Orleans prison, one man is coming forward to promote a more positive image of the convicted killer. Cyrus A. Webb, president of the Shadow Play Entertainment/Conversations Book Club and host of Conversations LIVE! Radio plans to release exclusive interviews and memoirs from his friend, Corey Miller. He released a statement saying: “Cee has managed to do something that few in Hip Hop have accomplished. He made it cool to read and to believe that no matter what you have done in your life, it's never too late for you to make a difference." The pair first began corresponding in 2006 via his Myspace, after Miller released his book, “Death Around The Corner.” The pair hit it off and Webb ended up joining him on his book tour. “I was so impressed by how he shared parts of his life and the lessons he had learned in the book while also writing a story that people of all walks of life could appreciate,” said Webb. With the help from the president of the book club, Miller went on to sell hundreds of copies of his book and was even named the Most Fascinating Author of 2008 by Webb's Conversations Book Club. Now that he finds his friend and colleague away for life, President Webb is working to make sure that Corey Miller's voice will still be heard through exclusive interviews and discussions. “Because of a gag order, Cee wasn't able to speak much to the public, but in the videos and radio interviews we are sharing, you get to hear him talk about himself, his work and his convictions. One of the things I have learned from Cee is that he has no problem taking responsibility for what he has done wrong in his life. He has never made excuses, and tries to use his skills as an artist and author to show a better way than what he chose at times. If he says he is not guilty of something he is accused of, I have no reason to doubt him. I just want people to know the man that I got to know through these events and discussions”

AllHipHop Reports Philadelphia-bred rapper Freck Billionaire and his personal manager Animal Steele responded to the comments made by Floyd Mayweather Jr In a recent interview with AllHipHop Mayweather, who signed Freck to his Philthy Rich Records, claimed that Freck Billionaire knowingly joined his company though he was already in another contract. The boxer also alleged that the rapper stole a diamond watch. In an exclusive interview with AllHipHop.com, Freck Billionaire responded to Mayweather’s remarks. “Since you really at the bottom of your heart don't wanna see anyone around you with anything, I'll send a courier to you with my watch. Maybe you can use it to lure in your next victim," Freck told AllHipHop.com. Freck and Animal Steele both claim that the watch in question was a gift given to the newly signed rapper by Mayweather. “The watch was a gift from Floyd to Freck. It symbolized the business arrangement that we were all heading into together. Floyd's out of control ego hindered any chance of success. We decided to weather through the storm and every time that Freck received any shine, all progress came to a screeching halt,” said Steele. In a recent AllHipHop interview, Mayweather charged the watch was stolen and attempts to recover from Freck have failed. Mayweather said, "We were working with an artist named Freck Billionaire. When he came aboard we asked if he had any contracts and he said no. Come to find out he was signed with somebody. The guy was trying to sue us and Freck stole one of our watches and left. So we’ve been looking for Freck Billionaire but he’s been ducking and dodging us. He stole a diamond watch and left." Steele also claims that Mayweather was trying to break Freck apart from the rap group Street Family, which also consists of Fabolous, Paul Cain and Red Café. “Once Floyd made it obvious that he didn't want Freck affiliated with Street Fam and more specifically Fabolous, the line was crossed. It was Floyd's "Philthy Rich or die" attitude that forced us to make a move back east. After all it was Fab's guidance and leadership that put us on the map in the first place. At the end of the day our loyalty is to Street Fam and our personal relationship with Fabolous," continued Steele. In May it was reported that a Long Island-based company, Just for You Entertainment, was suing Mayweather, claiming that he stole their artist-- Freck Billionaire. “As far as the allegation of a prior commitment is concerned, we all know that if Floyd had any true intentions of working on a Freck Billionaire project, his capital could've gotten to the bottom of any situation.” Freck continues to receive support from Brooklyn rapper Fabolous who featured him on his new album Loso's Way on the track “There He Go” alongside Paul Cain, Red Café. Last week Freck released his latest mixtape This Is Family Pt.2, which features Fabolous and Red Café, among others.

Over the years Kanye West has bestowed on the world a lot of gifts—classic albums, some game-changing style tips, and the Air Yeezys, to name a few. But by far the sexiest gift that ‘Ye has blessed us with is his on-again, off-again girlfriend Amber Rose. The chrome-domed beauty with a stripper past, who has become a staple of the gossip blogs, already made shaved heads hot this year, and now she’s signed a new contract with Ford Models, and will soon be seen in Kanye’s “Robocop” video. But first up: Amber’s Complex photoshoot. See, we featured Miss Rose in the 1-page “Women Are Complex, Too” article in our latest issue, but we knew that wouldn’t be enough to satisfy your appetite for the fine Philly dime. So, we went the extra mile and did a full shoot exclusively for the internet, which, if we do say so ourselves, turned out some of Amber’s sexiest photos ever. Click the link below to check out the steamy pics, or read on below for the exclusive online interview, where she speaks about growing up in the hood, her new fame, Kanye, and whether she prefers boys or girls…

Complex: You’re a Philly girl. What was your childhood like? Amber Rose: I grew up in South Philly. I grew up very poor with a single mother. My mother is a waitress, and she raised me on a waitress salary. I went to a Philadelphia public school. I’ve been in Philly my whole life, but obviously I’ve traveled in between. I was definitely not in the suburbs, I was in the inner city of South Philly. Complex: What were some street experiences you’ve witnessed? Amber Rose: Like gun violence, drug dealers, nowhere safe for the kids to play. In the schoolyard people were drinking 40s, smoking weed. I personally used to drink, I never smoked weed though. The craziest shit was just having my friends’ parents die of drug overdoses and things like somebody getting shot on the corner of my block. Complex: Did you always have an eclectic style growing up? Amber Rose: Yea, I always looked up to Slash from Guns N’ Roses. I had every single poster of Slash in my room. It was crazy because I grew up in an all-black neighborhood and everybody I went to school with was black. I was the only biracial looking girl in my school, and Slash was biracial too, he was just a fucking rock star. I always wanted to play the guitar. I’ve tried, but other things came up. Complex: What’s the status of your career? Amber Rose: Definitely more modeling, I want to change the face of modeling. I want young girls growing up to know that they can actually eat something, and be beautiful and be a model, that they can actually have a real women’s body and do modeling. I want to get into acting. I want to pursue all avenues that I can. Complex: Recently you’ve been thrust into the world of TMZ and Perez Hilton. How have you been dealing with the gossip blogs? Amber Rose: This is my life, this is how my life’s been since I was a kid. I’ve always been popular, my name has always been in somebody’s mouth in high school. I don’t lose no sleep over this shit. Some of the stuff, when it’s extremely far-fetched and stupid, I just laugh. I don’t lose a minute of sleep over this. Complex: Has your recent fame opened more doors for you? Amber Rose: Obviously, Kanye is a super-duper megastar so he definitely gave me the fast track to the top, and I love him and appreciate him so much for that. Complex: What’s one thing about ’Ye that really blew you away about him? Amber Rose: Well, the fact that there can be a noise in the background, or like a windshield wiper and he will start beat-boxing or banging on the dashboard and start doing some type of beat and it sounds so fresh. I remember when he first did something like that and he just closed his eyes, and gets in the mode. I was like, “Wow.” You have to be a genius to that. He’s amazing. Complex: Speaking of you two, Bossip just reported that you guys were broken up. Is that true? Amber Rose: Umm, I really can’t talk about that. It’s like when Brad and Angelina were together—you never really knew if they were together or not. Complex: When the pictures of you and a lady friend hit the blogs, it caused some commotion because people thought you were stepping out on Kanye. Who is that lady and what’s the story? Amber Rose: [Laughs] I will definitely straighten that one out. That is my bestest friend Dez. She’s been my friend for about ten years now. We were dancers—you know, strippers—together, and that night when we took all those pictures, I was back in Philly and hadn’t seen her in a while, and I was like, “Yo Dez, let’s just take some shots of Hennessy and take some fuckin’ pictures, just for us.” She didn’t realize I do have some type of celebrity-status, and she posted them on her MySpace. Kanye knows that that’s just my friend, we’re not lesbian lovers. Everybody made a big deal out of that and it’s like, how many girls do that everyday and take silly pictures? Complex: There’s constant chatter on the blogs about your sexual preference. Are you bisexual? Amber Rose: Yeah, they label me a bisexual freak stripper that fucks Kanye on a daily basis. [Laughs.] You know: “Amber Rose, the fucking bisexual, dyke, freak, whatever the fuck.” To answer that: I’m extremely open with my sexuality. I can be in love with a woman, I can be in love with a man. I’m not into bestiality [laughs] but as far as humans go, I definitely find beauty in everybody, whether they’re heavy-set, super-skinny, if they’re white, black, Indian, Asian, Spanish. I can see beauty in anybody. I’m not into threesomes or orgies and shit like that. If I see a women and I think she’s beautiful and I like her, and she likes me back we can definitely try to be in a relationship together. Complex: There’s going to be a time when people are going to ask you about whether you and Kanye are gonna take the relationship to the next level or if it’s just a fling. Amber Rose: Because we’re in a public eye, everybody wants to know what goes on, but we’re human beings. We have arguments—people have arguments, mothers and daughters have arguments, it’s only natural. Kanye is amazing, he’s a great person, he treats me wonderful, we have a great time together. I genuinely care for him. Complex: Did you ever have a crush on him before you guys started dating? Amber Rose: I was always a huge fan of him, like who isn’t? But he had a fiancée, it wasn’t like, “Ah, I’m gonna get with Kanye!” When I met him, it was strictly business. He wanted me for his “Robocop” video and he had the utmost respect for me, and we hung out on a friendship/business type of deal. You know, just as normal human beings when you hang out with somebody, you start to like them. Kanye knew my life, so when the blogs came out like, “Oh, Kanye do you know she was a stripper, that she used to date girls?” Kanye was like, “Tell me something I don’t know.” Everybody has a life and a past. Complex: What was it like meeting Madonna at the Met Gala? Amber Rose: Well, that night I was around superstar celebrities, and I have to say this: Madonna was the most down-to-earth person there. She was dancing having a good time. Yeah, she put her hand on my butt to take a picture, but who wouldn’t brag about that, it’s fucking Madonna! Madonna reinvents herself every two years, she was amazing, and I put the picture on Twitter to be like, “Hey look, I have a picture with Madonna.” And then everyone’s like, “Oh, they’re having threesomes,” and it’s like, c’mon it’s so not true. It’s a fucking picture, relax. Complex: How do you respond to people saying this whole Kanye situation is a publicity stunt? Amber Rose: Well, my intentions when I met Kanye was to do his video, keep it very professional and we really started to like each other. It just so happened that he started liking me and I started liking him. It’s not a publicity stunt, it’s just human beings, man. I love Kanye as a person, he’s a great person, he’s super-talented. I love him for a lot of different reasons. Complex Magazine

HipHopWired Reports Chicago rapper Kanye West has had one of his music videos turned into a short film and is set to be released in September on iTunes. Spike Jonze, who was also responsible for the “Flashing Lights” video will be the manpower behind the film titled, We Were Once A Fairytale. Originally the film was set to be the music video for West's single, “See You In My Nightmare” featuring Lil Wayne off his last album, 808s and Heartbreak. The 15-minute short has already premiered as it was featured at the Los Angeles Film Festival in June. According to Jonze, the film was made in the course of 24 hours. The actual story shows Kanye playing himself, which is more character than any role he could be given, in a club drunk basically boasting about how great he is. He engages a woman whom he later has sex with before passing out. When he comes to, he realizes that the woman was actually a hallucination and he was actually getting it in with a pillow. As with the “Flashing Lights” video, it does become weird, or creative, as he goes to vomit and rose petals come out. While in the restroom, West finds a knife and digs into his stomach which revealed more petals and as he digs deeps he uses his hands to pull out a rodent that has resemblance to a demon. Realizing the demon is attached to him through an umbilical cord, he rips the two apart then hands the demon the knife who then stabs itself through the stomach. Yea, that's some trippy shit.

Times Online Reports The world’s big four record companies are to go head-to-head with Apple with the launch of a new form of album download that will include a digitised version of a record sleeve. Sony, Warner, Universal and EMI are putting the finishing touches to an album format that will give music fans a computerised version of the sleeve notes that come as standard with a CD, including lyrics and artwork, and videos. The format, due to be available in November, is aimed at boosting the sales of album downloads, which online buyers have failed to warm to despite a huge surge away from CD sales towards their digital counterparts. Although more than nine out of ten of all singles sales are made in digital form, for albums that figure is reversed. It is understood that the record labels approached Apple, maker of the iPod, about 18 months ago with the plan to revitalise album downloads by bundling together extra features in a single download. Industry insiders say that their project, with the working title CMX, was rebuffed by Apple. The technology giant is now understood to be working on its own format, codenamed Cocktail, which it hopes to launch within two months. One senior record label insider said: “Apple at first told us that they were not interested, but now they have decided to do their own, in case ours catches on. “Ours will be a file that you click on, it opens and it would have a totally brand-new look, with a launch page and all the different options. When you click on it you’re not just going to get the ten tracks, you’re going to get the artwork, the video and mobile products.” The new technology will initially be “soft-launched” to accompany only a few releases, possibly including the next album by U2. “We are not going out in force,” the label source said. “What you are going to see is a couple of releases thrown out there to see what people like. We are working with the retailers now.” Despite the success of singles downloads, the industry has found it harder to persuade consumers to buy digital albums. The 2009 Entertainment Retailers Association handbook shows that only 10.3 million of the 139.8 million albums sold last year were downloads. A spokesman for the association said: “It is the great conundrum of the age: what would an album look like online? At the moment a download in no sense replicates that satisfying quality of a physical album. “Think about the importance of the gift market for albums. Online it’s stripped down to the bare music, and there’s a lot more to an album than that.” Another part of the problem is the small difference in price, with retailers offering heavy discounts on CD albums, the average price of which fell to £8.10 last year, compared with £7.41 for the digital equivalent. Gennaro Castaldo, of HMV, said: “The price of a CD has come down massively in recent years, and there are year-round promotional catalogue campaigns that represent incredible value, such as two CDs for a tenner. This means that tracks on physical albums can often work out quite a bit cheaper than their digital counterparts.” A spokesman for the BPI, which represents the British record industry, said: “Digital downloads have resurrected the single, and the competitive pricing and widespread availability of individual digital songs appeal to teenagers. While the CD remains the bedrock of music sales overall, a key challenge for the industry now is to upscale demand to the digital album.”

HipHopWired Reports Much of the landscape of Roc-A-Fella has changed dramatically since they were running the rap game early in 2000. The dramatic change is that it no longer exists as Jay-Z not only left Def Jam, but has also been building on Roc Nation with artists by the likes of Wale and J. Cole, but it has been rumored that he still has Young Chris on the ride with him. Beanie Sigel, who was one of the first to start running with Jigga, and was there when the label exploded with fame will be releasing The Broad Street Bully on September 1. As of late, the Philly rapper has been making his rounds on the mixtape circuit working with the likes of Gillie the Kid, Black DeNiro and even members of his State Property crew making it seem as though Sigel was cooking something up behind closed doors. Once deemed as Jay-Z protégé, Sigel seemed to be building his steam slowly but surely as his albums built up to the formation of State Property with the rapper leading the pack having his own gang to run beside his mentor. Things slowly changed however between The B. Coming and The Solution. 2007 saw the release of two of the premier artists drop their albums and it was apparent that the touch of Jay was absent. In the case of Freeway, the project was very well put together, but it was promoted very poorly which only made it collect dust in the CD shelves as most people were unaware of it. In the case of Sigel, Jay was featured on the track “Gutted,” but it wasn't the hard-hitting soulful material that fans have come to know the Philly native for. Hell, maybe it was because his first single was with R. Kelly on “All the Above” with subpar production from The Runners. Hopefully with his upcoming project that was originally titled The Focus, the fat will be trimmed and he will continue his climb that he was at with The B. Coming. Features are limited to Freeway and Young Chris and as Chris is seen as being little Jay, there might be a chance for Sigel to lead the charge to help resurge State Property at least. Time will only tell where business ties till go as far as him and Hov, but the world needs classic material such as “Still Got Love For You.”

Tracklist for Broad Street Bully: 1. Broad Street Bully 2. All In 3. Shot Em Up 4. Death Follows Me 5. Phili (w/ Freeway & Young Chris) 6. Ready For War (w/ Freeway & Young Chris) 7. Point The Finger (w/ Young Chris) 8. Get Back To Rap (w/ Young Neef) 9. I'm Sicker (w/ Freeway) 10. What Are We Doing Here 11. Going Through The Emotions 12. You Over Did It 13. Why Should'nt I

NY Daily News Reports Biloxi,Miss. - When Jeff Lacy was promoting his first boxing card in Tampa back in April, he invited Roy Jones Jr. to the show. Jones accepted the invitation, but he knew why Lacy wanted him ringside. "I knew he was going to challenge me to a fight," Jones said. "I can't say no to a challenge." The result is a 12-round light-heavyweight match between Jones and Lacy at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum tonight. Lacy, the former IBF super middleweight champion, will be fighting at 175 pounds for the first time in his career. "I actually feel my best at 172-173 pounds," said Lacy, who weighed in at 172 Thursday. "I'm stronger. I feel really good." Lacy (25-2, 17 KOs) is co-promoting the show with Jones, though he isn't handling any of the nuts and bolts. His contribution has been minimal, but Lacy plans to close the show in spectacular fashion. "This fight isn't going the distance, because I know that Roy is going to come to fight," Lacy said. "And when you come forward and stay in front of me, the fight won't go the distance." Jones and Lacy are actually in the same boat as far as their careers are concerned. They are considered washed up as far as competing at the elite level. Both suffered lopsided losses to top opponents last November. Jones lost to Joe Calzaghe, Lacy to Jermain Taylor. The winner could remain relevant in the light-heavyweight division. The loser becomes an also-ran. "My hands are still five times faster than Jeff Lacy's," Jones said. "And they're five times faster than everybody else on this card." Lacy, 32, has just two losses in his career, but they have been devastating. He took a brutal beating at the hands of Calzaghe in 2006, which may have damaged his career beyond repair. He has not logged a single KO in the five fights since that loss. Part of that may have come from the fact that he had to have reconstructive surgery on his shoulder and missed a year in the ring. Lacy said that was not his problem against Taylor, his 2000 U.S. Olympic teammate. "We were roommates in the Olympics," Lacy said. "I attended his wedding. The aggressive side of me didn't come out in the fight. I didn't feel like I was taking that many shots and I felt like I was landing a lot of my shots. But I lost the decision." Lacy doesn't expect to have any motivational problems once he steps into the ring against Jones (53-5, 39 KOs). He has built-in motivation because he realizes that his career is on the line. "When you're building up your career you're put in against guys who aren't that good and you know you can just go in and take care of them quickly," Lacy said. "But when you're fighting someone like Roy Jones you know he's coming to fight. ... I've been up for this fight from the day he said yes."
