An escaped convict on the run from an open prison taunted police on Facebook - by posting a picture of himself tucking into his Christmas dinner. Crook Craig 'Lazie' Lynch, 28, was serving a seven year sentence for aggravated burglary at Hollesley Bay prison in Suffolk when he absconded on September 24 this year. Last week it came to light that Lynch has successfully evaded Suffolk police ever since, despite posting regular status updates on the social networking website. Over the festive period arrogant Lynch has revelled in his notoriety and continued to mock the police. On Christmas Day he posted a picture of himself taking a turkey out of the oven while swearing at the camera.

Underneath he wrote: "if any of you was doubtin my freedom. Here's proof. How the f**k could i get my hands on a bird like this in jail. ha ha." On the same day Lynch, who now has 1,247 Facebook friends, posted: "YES YES i f**kin made it to xmas i beat their f**kin system and i love it." Cocky On Boxing Day at 16.41 Lynch posted: "It is freezin out there. I wonder if i can take the right piss and stay out til the summertime ha ha." While on Sunday morning the cocky criminal taunted police for their failure to track him down. He wrote: "good mornin everyone. I had a funny feelin that my door was going to come off this mornin then i remembered. The old bill are as thick as s**t. And went back to sleep." At one point Lynch thought his cover had been blown when he heard the sound of emergency vehicles approaching. He posted: "Oh No sirens!! Its happening", before adding later "false alarm it was an ambulance." Elsewhere on Facebook critics of Lynch have set up a "Craig Lazie Lynch is no hero" group to condemn messages of support for the convicted criminal. The front page of the group, which has 132 members. reads: "How stupid can people be egging this idiot on? "Dont they know that he was jailed for aggravated burglary for seven years??? "How can people think tha this guy is a hero when weve got lads risking their lives every day in afgan, they are the real heros not this prick." A spokeswoman for Suffolk police said routine checks were being performed at Lynch's known addresses and his details had been logged on the Police National Computer. Officers are liaising with forces elsewhere in the UK as he has links with Middlesex and north-east London. Lynch is described as white, 5ft 9inches tall, of stocky build, with short brown hair, brown eyes and a beard. Check out a few of Craig's Facebook updates below:

There are no more breaks in the music industry, especially in the streets. During the holiday season, cats were either dropping mixtapes or hyping up releases that are soon to come. Fab, don't worry. We're not gonna sweat you over not dropping on Christmas as promised. As long as you bring that Loso quality, we'll wait. Lupe and DJ Absolut coming soon? We're definitely anticipating that one, as well as Jay Electronica's new tape. Is there anything out right now as dope as "Exhibit C"? Styles P and Green Lantern coming next month? Young Jeezy promising to come any day now? 2010 is going to be a nutty first quarter, and that's just on the streets. In any event, here is a special edition of Don't Sleep, where we highlight some of the tapes that came in the past several days. Don't Sleep: Necessary Notables » Lloyd Banks' V5 DJ Collaborator: DJ Whoo Kid

Necessary Notes: Banks isn't pulling any punches. You should've seen all the smiles on the faces on Jamaica Avenue in Queens when the bootlegger opened up a box of brand-new burned copies of Banks' latest installment of microphone terror. Banks sounds a little hungrier on this one (his voice is raspier and louder on tracks like "Sh---y City 2"). The early word from the Unit is that the crazy mofo named Banko is going to actually drop an LP this year in addition to all the underground heat. Can't-Miss Tracks: "Power Back" and "Rather Be Me" » Bow Wow's G2 (Greenlight 2)

DJ Collaborators: DJ Ill Will and DJ Rockstar Necessary Notes: That retirement Bow talked about in the wake of his last LP, New Jack City II (released in April 2009), was shorter than WWE wrestler Hornswoggle's. The 22-year-old Ohio player (he lives in MIA now, BTW) was back to dropping freestyles in no time. He even signed a brand-new record deal with Cash Money last year and has a new album due for this summer. As we learned from the original Greenlight, everything's a go. This is not your little's sister's Bow Wow anymore. How could he top the first Greenlight's shock value of "Regrets," on which he talked about sipping syrup, smoking weed and being high out of his mind? Well, Bow, fresh off the set of his film "Lottery Ticket," shouts out that purp on "I Do This" to open the mixtape. He also warns Diddy that he has eyes for Cassie on the You So remix of "Say Something." Also, for a little trip down memory lane, check out the video for a Mixtape Daily interview with Bow from early 2009. Can't-Miss Tracks: "I Wanna Rock" freestyle and "Shine" » Reflection Eternal's The Re:Union

DJ Collaborator: DJ Statik Selektah Necessary Notes: Talib Kweli and Hi-Tek reconnect for their new LP, Revolutions Per Minute, due this spring. Talib and Tek go ham with 30 tracks of new flav, previously unreleased gems and hits, baby! Can't-Miss Tracks: "Just Begun" (featuring Mos Def, Jay Electronica and J. Cole) and "The Thrill Is Gone" (featuring Styles P) Other Heat This Week » DJ Whoo Kid, Raekwon and DJ Scream - Coke Up in Da Dollar Bill » Yelawolf - Trunk Muzik » Kia Shine - Alarm Clock Theory » Young Jeezy - 103 MTV Follow Me @Twitter.com/ChasinMoPaper

Lil' Wayne was rollin' through Texas with marijuana on multiple tour buses, this according to the U.S. Border Patrol. Border Patrol agents tell TMZ a random search of the vehicles uncovered a pot stash on two buses -- but we're told no drugs were found on Wayne's person ... or anyone else in the entourage. Officials tell us a drug-sniffing K-9 unit picked up the scent outside the bus. Agents then walked the dogs onto the bus, where they located the weed. As we first reported, Wayne and 11 members of his entourage are being detained at an internal B.P. checkpoint in southern Texas. So far, no arrests have been made. Trailer After The Jump Veteran actor Clifton Powell and Bay Area emcee Yukmouth are among the ensemble cast of Dioncel “Donny” Armstrong’s film Five.K.One, which addresses a controversial informant law. The movie takes its name from the federal sentencing mandate that gives more lenient sentencing to informants who have committed murder, robbery, or drug conspiracy. The narrative follows best friends Tiger (rapper Forty Da Great) and Remo (Melvin Jackson, Jr of The Wire), who form the street crew Self Made Bosses (SMB), specializing in drugs, murder, and money. The organization’s problems begin due to a federal indictment, and Remo’s desire to go legitimate and focus on family life. Clifton Powell plays the role of a nightclub owner in debt to the SMB, while Yukmouth takes the character of a vicious hitman. A veteran entertainment entrepreneur who launched his career with the popular independent project Street Life: The Documentary, Armstrong’s inspiration for the film derives from witnessing the federal informant laws effects of urban communities around the country. “The whole 5K1 snitch [law], nobody ever told it like it is in this movie, how easy it is for a person that’s a snitch to commit all types of crimes and still get off,” Armstrong told AllHipHop.com. “I wanted to tell that side of the story, so this film really tells it without the people pressuring me to change [it]. Soon as I sent it out to distributors and they wanted me to change things like the ending, I decided right then and there to go independent.” Ironically, the film’s star Forty da Great is incarcerated due to information provided under the 5K1 law. Armstrong also revealed how he narrowly avoided the same fate before his transition into entertainment. “My man Forty da Great who is the star of the movie is incarcerated right now because of the same law. Somebody snitched on him and it’s crazy and shows how real it is. This happened before the movie was even shot,” Armstrong detailed. “People need to take responsibility for what they are doing. If 5 people are out there committing crimes together and everyone gets caught, all of them should go to jail. But if only one gets caught, he or she has to understand that they have to go because they got caught. I’m not in the street game, but I’m a product of it. All my family was in it, but I just found something [positive] to do. My years in the street only caused me grief. The person who snitched on me just so happened to not show up in court so I was blessed. I put a little piece of that in the film to show how easy it is for someone to make up a story to the police and have it believed.” With artists such as Forty da Great and Yukmouth playing significant roles, Five.K.One is a film with direct ties to Hip-Hop music. Regarding distribution, Armstrong plans to involve overlooked outlets such as barbershops and clothing stores, by allowing them to share profits of the film by advertising at their businesses. Five.K.One debuts January 19, 2010, and will be accompanied by a soundtrack, and behind the scenes book. For more information, visit www.fivekone.com. Tiger Woods is not the only one who blew big bucks with his image-busting cheating spree. His losses are chump change compared with the up to $12 billion that the scandal has cost shareholders of his big-money sponsors like Nike, AT&T and Gatorade, a study revealed Monday. "Total shareholder losses may exceed several decades' worth of Tiger Woods' personal endorsement income," said study author Victor Stango, a professor at the University of California Davis. The study compared the stock prices of nine Woods sponsors with competitors and the overall market after the scandal erupted last month. Investors in the three sports-related companies - video gamemaker Electronic Arts, Gatorade and Nike - fared the worst, experiencing a 4.3% drop in stock value. On the other hand, Accenture, a global management consulting firm, experienced no measurable ill effects from Woods' fall from grace. Source: NY Daily News Follow Me @Twitter.com/ChasinMoPaper

Video After The Jump Toby Keith better start working on that apology statement about now. Asian watchdog groups are blasting the country crooner over an allegedly racist gesture made during an impromptu performance with Will Smith and Wyclef Jean at the Nobel Peace Prize concerts in Norway last week. Let's go to the YouTube video. .. When Big Willie raps the word "yellow" about 26 seconds into the song, Keith is seen briefly pulling back his eyes in a slant-eyed expression that only Miley Cyrus apologists might find amusing. And while the gesture went unremarked about at the time, several Asian organizations have since called out the "Courtesy of the Red, White & Blue" singer. "Mr. Keith embarrassed himself with his impromptu pantomime to Will Smith’s song after the Noble Peace Prize concert in Oslo last week," says a spokesman for the Asian American Justice Center. "While some just shook their heads in disbelief, it is important to let Mr. Keith know his gesture was offensive and that we hope he understands why it was so inappropriate." "By doing this, he is telling his Asian fans, 'You don't matter, you're not on my radar,' " adds a rep from the Media Action Network for Asians. Keith's camp could not immediately be reached for comment, but previously told TMZ that "nobody at the party thought Toby was out of line." So that makes it OK? Audio After The Jump Gucci Mane spoke to MTV News from jail on Wednesday and, despite his location, was in good spirits and excited about the release of his new LP, The State vs. Radric Davis. The album made it into the Billboard top 10, and Gucc wanted to thank all the fans for their support and also apologize for not being on the outside to perform for them. Gucci also revealed that he already has his next album done and as soon as his jail term is over, he's going to work on yet another LP. Both projects are slated for 2010.
"I got an album coming out April 2010," Gucci said. "It's called The State vs. Radric Davis: The Appeal," he said. "Seventeen tracks. It's already recorded, getting mixed and mastered as we speak. I'm dropping a trilogy with The State vs. Radric Davis. When I get out, I'll be working on the third part to the trilogy. The final [will be called] The State vs. Radric Davis: The Verdict. That'll be [in stores] December of 2010." Gucci Mane was sentenced to 12 months in jail for a probation violation last month. Gucci's lawyer Dwight L. Thomas told MTV News he's hoping his client will be a free man sometime in the top of the year. Meanwhile, his current LP is continuing its run, and his record company Asylum just released the video for "Heavy." Gucci also said Young Jeezy recorded a verse for the remix of the track. "We already recorded two songs," Gucci said of his freshly squashed beef with Jeezy. "One song was the 'Trap or Die 2' remix — I jumped on there for him and he did a verse for my song 'Heavy' with Shawty Redd on the beat. We just haven't released it yet." Nas And Kelis In Happier Times AllHipHop Reports Yesterday (December 9), Los Angeles Superior Court Judge David S. Cunningham ordered Nas to pay $51,101 a month in spousal and child support to ex-wife Kelis. Cunningham made his ruling following two days of testimony from Nas and Kelis. Kelis verified that she inked a new recording contract with Interscope Records for $175,000. However, her attorney explained that the majority of that sum was paid out to her managers, leaving the singer with only $50,000. When cross-examined, she told Nas attorney Mark Kaplan that her comeback career was a far cry from her former chart topping fame circa the 2003 single “Milkshake,” indicating that her latest song was quietly dropped on Twitter. Her income could also not be determined, as documentation shows Kelis has not filed an income tax return in years. In Nas’ testimony, the Queens legend confirmed that he would not release solo album in 2010, but did not disclose whether that included his Damian Marley collaboration LP Distant Relatives. His statements also revealed that he owed $700,000 to his manager, and $2.5 million in back taxes to the IRS. Along with the spousal and child support decree, Nas is now relieved of having to pay the $13,000 a month mortgage for the ex-couple's Los Angeles home, in which Kelis currently resides. Before yesterday’s verdict, Nas was reportedly paying close to $40,000 a month in temporary support. At press time, neither Nas nor Kelis have personally commented on the ruling. Poinsettias and politics mixed and mingled at Sunday's Christmas in Washington holiday concert as President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama watched a glittery lineup of artists treat guests to festive performances at the National Building Museum. Rob Thomas, Mary J. Blige, Sugarland, Neil Diamond, Usher and Justin Bieber were on hand to sing holiday tunes new and old to a crowd of about 500 at the museum, which was festooned with all the things that make a Washington Christmas: sparkling trees, bright red poinsettias, twinkly lights and Secret Service agents "Welcome to Christmas in Washington, where Santa is a registered independent," host George Lopez joked at the start of the show. During the show's rehearsal Saturday, Diamond paused and pointed to a person seated in the audience. "You are sitting where the president of the United States is going to be sitting tomorrow, so I am going to go like this," Diamond said before doing a little dance. Diamond opened the show with a rousing performance of Joy to the World, Winter Wonderland and his original song Cherry, Cherry Christmas. Blige, clad in a fitted shiny sheath dress, sang a soulful rendition of The Christmas Song. Introducing a special performance by YouTube sensation Justin Bieber, Lopez pointed out, "Like you, Mr. President, this young man has many fans trying to shake his hand without permission." The 15-year-old sang Stevie Wonder's Someday at Christmas, a song sure to have delighted the Obamas, who are fans of Wonder. "I'm Mr. Christmas," Thomas joked before the show. Thomas, who performed at the ceremonial lighting of New York's Rockefeller Center Christmas tree, came to Washington to sing his original song A New York Christmas, which he wrote after 9/11 and benefits his charitable foundation, Sidewalk Angels. Even though a holiday album was never an option for his band, Matchbox Twenty— "Our bass player was Jewish and never wanted to do a Christmas record" — "now that I've started to do more solo stuff, then maybe I could. And at 37 it sounds like more fun than it did at 27. At 37 you don't care about being cool." Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush, who recently released a holiday album of their own, sang the title song, Gold and Green. "We wanted to try our hand at least at writing Christmas classics in the style of Bing Crosby, where it's orchestrated," Nettles says. Adds Bush: "Melodies you'll never forget. If you think about it, they're like nursery rhymes for grown-ups." Nettles, who was in the nation's capital a week ago to sing at the Kennedy Center Honors, joked that between that and her performance at Obama's inauguration, she has it down when it comes to singing for the president: "I'm pretty sure at this point I can just come over and knock on his door with a casserole." At the end of the program, Obama thanked the performers "for sharing wonderful holiday spirit this evening." As he named each of the artists, Obama mispronounced Bieber's name. Correcting his error, Obama explained his mistake by noting "he was just discovered," and the crowd laughed. The program concluded with the Obamas joining all of the artists in singing Hark the Herald Angels Sing. The show will air at 8 p.m. ET/PT Dec. 20 on TNT. Christmas in Washington benefits the National Children's Medical Center.

MTV Reports After a decade-long hiatus, the female-centric Lilith Fair festival will storm back in summer 2010 with a lineup that features a mix of festival veterans and new stars, including founder Sarah McLachlan, Mary J. Blige, Ke$ha, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Colbie Caillat and Corinne Bailey Rae. McLachlan and Badu, who were on the lineup the first time around, will be joined by fellow vets Emmylou Harris, the Indigo Girls and Tegan and Sara. Among the other acts slated to perform are country star Miranda Lambert, Janelle Monáe, Metric, A Fine Frenzy, Chairlift, Jill Scott, Sugarland, Brandi Carlile, Butterfly Boucher, Ingrid Michaelson, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Katzenjammer, the Submarines, Tara MacLean, Sara Bareilles, Chantal Kreviazuk, Serena Ryder, Susan Justice, Ima, Donna Delory, Ash Koley, Ann Atomic, Jennifer Knapp, Jill Hennesy, Meghan Smith, Vedera, Vita Chambers, Nneka, Ximena Sarinana, Zee Avi and the Weepies. Badu, who toured with Lilith in 1998, said in a press release announcing the roster that she was psyched to have another go-round. "Magic happens when you bring this many artistic women together," she said. "I'll never forget the frequency and energy that I felt that first time I performed at Lilith. Between the sistas on stage and those in the audience, it was powerful!" Tegan of Tegan and Sara recalled playing the smallest side stage on one of the last Lilith Fair shows more than 10 years ago in Edmonton, Alberta, and how despite challenging conditions, the gig was a formative experience. "We only played one show, and it was on the smallest stage, in the rain, to nearly no one," she said. "And yet, for the past 10 years, it continues to come up in almost every interview and is something we honestly look back on as a very important event in our career. The impact of Lilith Fair was felt all over the world, and its significance still resonates with women and the music industry itself 10 years later. We are proud to be a part of it again and are truly excited that Lilith is back." Tour co-founder Terry McBride — who also manages or releases albums by a number of the acts on the lineup through his Nettwerk label — added: "The 2010 Lilith Tour isn't just a celebration of women in music, but a celebration of diverse female voices across all genres. The original Lilith Fair broke down boundaries, and the new tour promises to do the same, with a mix of contemporary and classic, established and up-and-coming artists from the worlds of pop, rock, urban, country and more." From 1997 to 1999, Lilith Fair toured around the world with a lineup of some of the biggest female and woman-fronted acts of the day, including Christina Aguilera, the Dixie Chicks, Missy Elliot, Tracy Chapman, Fiona Apple, Nelly Furtado, Beth Orton, Sinead O'Connor, Bonnie Raitt, Lauryn Hill, Liz Phair, Mya, Martina McBride, Jewel, Dido, Queen Latifah and the Pretenders. BallerStatus Reports Eminem is getting ready to drop his Relapse: Refill album, which has seven new songs on it, but Relapse 2 is what fans are really waiting for. In a new interview for Complex's December/January coverstory, the Detroit rapper gets into what happened with the Relapse sequel, and what music fans should expect when it drops. According to Em, when he finally finished the first installment, he had a ton of songs he couldn't let go of, so that was gonna be Relapse 2. But, in regular Em fashion, he recorded more ... and now a whole new album has formulated. "When I finished Relapse, I had a whole album of material that didn't make it that I wasn't ready to throw away, so that was going to be Relapse 2, " the rapper explained. "But, then I got with Dre in Hawaii and started recording more, and now the new material has knocked out all the old songs. "The new material is definitely different. Making Relapse, I was still working the drugs out of my system, so there was a lot of ... just jokey sh**," Em continued. "It was a lot of punchline-y, funny, shock value -- kind of going back to The Slim Shady LP. And that was cool, but I've kind of flipped the page. Now I'm going for songs instead of one-liners. I don't want to make shit that you hear once and then the joke's over; I want to make records that you could play a hundred times, a thousand times." As the interview continued, Complex writer Noah Callahan-Bever brought up something Eminem never really gave much thought too ... if he became sharper with his lyrics, as he got sober. Eminem agreed. "You're right, my thinking became sharper again as I went along. If you were to take a song like 'My Mom' or 'Must Be the Ganja,' those were cool -- but they were the beginning stages of me coming out of the [addiction]," said EM. "It wasn't until it got into songs like 'Stay Wide Awake' that it felt like my mind got sharper. I became more on-point towards the end of recording the album. Right now, I feel like I'm more focused than I've ever been. I still feel like I have room to get better but I feel like I'm definitely on my game right now." So, with Eminem sharp as ever, back with Dre, constantly recording every day. What is Relapse 2 gonna sounds like? We can't wait to see. Until then, Relapse: Refill hits stores December 22nd. Make sure to head over to Complex.com to read the rest of the coverstory, which hits newsstands on December 8th. In the interview, Eminem discusses his obession with working out, how clueless he is with the computer and internet, his sober living, and getting put onto streaming porn.

Video After The Jump MTV Reports Timbaland told MTV News that if he makes another Shock Value LP, he'll give it away. "If this album does as semi-well as the last one, I'm done," Timbaland said. "I'm not going through the stress no more. I will do it for my fans and give it away for free."
The super producer says he's tired of the politics and the way the music biz is going and he's losing his desire to try to sell albums. Of course, he's still in the midst of doing exactly that with Shock Value II, which overall is more slanted toward pop than hip-hop, with contributions from the likes of Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus (although Brandy does make her rapping debut on the LP). That's for a reason, he said. "After my last album, I know where my bread and butter is at," Tim explained. "I know 75 percent [of the people who buy my album] are women who love Timbaland and most are the women who watch 'Desperate Housewives' and all those others. I did this research. It's the women who watch 'Sex and the City,' 'Desperate Housewives' — all the real go-to-the-bar women like Timbaland, and mostly European women. It lets me know that my fanbase is mostly women and they are from all cultures. So it's not a person who loves mostly hip-hop. It's a person who loves everything besides hip-hop." Don't get him wrong, Timbaland still loves hip-hop — he's still DJ Timmy Tim at heart. But he's not inspired by much from the genre these days and it's reflected on the LP. "I was done with hip-hop a long time ago," he said. "Once my generation left, I left. I do it, but there's nobody from my generation besides Jay who's doing it. I look at Lil Wayne as being from my generation. Some people are still acceptable. Kanye is acceptable from my generation. "It's just not the same. By it not being the same, I kind of fade to black. I did music [on this album] that fits where I was going to in my age bracket. 'What does Tim listen to in his car all the time?' I love '80s music. So how do I infuse '80s with modern-day music? You Timbo the King, you gotta figure it out. I figured it out a couple of years ago with Nelly [Furtado] and Justin and myself. We had a tremendous run. I think it was good for me to do it that, because some people would say 'Tim is cold.' The same people who smile in my face would be the same ones to talk behind my back. But I got this run, I'm not gonna stop until I wanna stop." Follow Me @Twitter.com/ChasinMoPaper

People.Com Reports With his group the Black Eye Peas nominated for an impressive six Grammys, including the top prizes of album and record of the year, will.i.am has plenty of reasons to look forward to next month's awards show – something that wasn't necessarily the case during his first Grammy experience. "I remember that I was nervous," the musician, 34, told PEOPLE about his 2005 appearance. Recalling his Grammy debut while at an event announcing the first-ever Data Awards for electronic music, he said, "I was real nervous. We performed "Where Is the Love." I remember I got up on the mic and said, 'Everybody go out and vote.' " While the Peas didn't perform on last year's telecast, will.i.am attended – as a contender. "I was nominated for producer of the year award," he said. "I lost to Rick Rubin again, [who] is good to lose to."
