Tekashi69 is at war with J. Prince Jr. and Baby Jay Prince of Rap-A-Lot Records. 69 wasn’t allowed inside Prince Jr’s birthday party earlier this week in Houston for not showing proper respect. Things escalated after Tekashi said he refuses to check in with anyone no matter the city. On Friday, March 16, 69 was scheduled to perform at a Worldstarhiphop SXSW show in Austin. Baby Jay & Prince Jr popped up looking for him, but he didn’t show up.

Ok, everybody can rest easy... Lloyd Banks isn't going anywhere for a long while.

The Southside, Jamaica Queens, New York native was trending worldwide Friday, March 16, after he sent out a cryptic tweet that was interpreted by many as his farewell to the music industry.

Turns out, it was simply a wake up call to illustrate what the rap game has become and how journalists cover it.

"Just goes to show you what a mess the industry has become," Banks later tweeted. "They’ll rather cover everything that happens around the music..than the actual music itself..I hope all these outlets support me when I drop..have a good day."

Hip hop fans are in shock today following the announcement from Lloyd Banks that he is retiring from music. The G-Unit emcee shared the news via his Twitter account Friday, March 16.

"I fell in love with Hip Hop over 25 years ago..it was that thing I turned to during good times and bad..just wanna say thank you to the artist B4 me that inspired me..and send my appreciation to everyone that supported me till this day THANK YOU!!" he wrote. "With that being said..I think it’s time to lay it down."

Banks leaves the game having released three critically acclaimed solo albums and sixteen solo mixtapes. He is an original member of G-Unit, along with 50 Cent and Tony Yayo. The lyrical ability he displayed on their two studio albums, two EP's and countless mixtapes earned him the nickname, The Punchline King.

He'll be remembered as one of the best emcees to ever pick up a mic. We wish Banks the best as he begins a new phase of his life.

NBA YoungBoy a.k.a. YoungBoy Never Broke Again is back out on the streets after posting $75,000 bond.

The Baton Rouge native had been locked up for the past 18 days in a Waycross, Georgia jail after being extradited from Tallahassee, Florida on outstanding out-of-state warrants.

YoungBoy, born Kentrell Gaulden, is accused of body slamming his girlfriend, Jania, then dragging her back into their hotel room. The scene was caught on surveillance footage, but Jania now says they were "just playing."

He's been charged with aggravated assault and kidnapping.

The rapper is not out of the woods by any means. As we previously reported, East Baton Rouge Parish Assistant District Attorney April Leon alleges YoungBoy is "a threat to society and the safety of others" in court documents. She wants the probation for his role in a nonfatal 2016 drive-by shooting.revoked ... and for him to serve the suspended 10-year prison term.

Leon is asking the judge in the case to conduct a probation revocation hearing on May 18.

The younger sister of mass murderer Dylann Roof was arrested Wednesday, March 14, for bringing weapons and drugs to school.

WISTV reports that 18-year old Morgan Roof was taken into custody at A.C. Flora High School in Columbia, South Carolina after she was found to be in possession of a knife, pepper spray and weed.

Deputies say Morgan had also alarmed students at the school with a recent racially motivated SnapChat post.

In her post, Morgan wrote: “Your walking out for the allowed time of 17 min, they are letting you do this, nothing is gonna change what tf you think it's gonna do? I hope it's a trap and y'all get shot we know it's fixing to be nothing but black people walkin out anyway...No offense ofc buuut.”

She was transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center ... charged with simple possession of marijuana and two counts of carrying weapons on school grounds.

A judge set her bond at $5000. One of the conditions is that she isn't allowed to return to A.C. Flora.

Morgan's white supremacist brother, Dylann, is currently on death row for the 2015 shooting deaths of nine African Americans at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina.

Things got super spicy when Desus & Mero walk into The Breakfast Club. If you remember DJ Envy and his wife Gia appeared on the daytime talk show "The Real" to talk about their relationship, podcast amongst other things. This prompted the two late-night Viceland talk show to go in on DJ Envy cracking jokes about The Breakfast Club host insinuating that his wife was with him for the "DJ Envy Check"

This isn't the first time the comedy duo have talked about Envy on their show as back in October of 2017 when an alleged Snapchat conversation between the DJ and an unknown person leaked online. The messages which were obviously later debunked as fake trended everwhere prompting the two of course to go in about it with Mero saying "damn dog light skin n***** are losing, we were winning". 

Stopping by The Breakfast Club this morning right off the bat DJ Envy introduces the Bronx duo as "d******* and P****" and continues to tell them that they owe his wife an apology for what they said about her on the show. After apologizing to Envy and his wife they express the fact that they thought they were all good because they roast Charlamagne on the show as well. As things seemed to have cooled down in the studio DJ Envy actually LEAVES the interview and doesn't come back....

Meek Mill will likely be a free man very soon.

TMZ reports that Philadelphia's District Attorney believes the 30-year old's 2008 drug and gun conviction will be thrown out due to rampant police corruption at the time of his arrest. Hundreds of previous cases have already been over turned and prosecutors see no reason why that won't be the case for Meek, born Robert Williams.

That means there is no reason to continue to hold him without bail for a probation violation stemming from the case. Common Pleas Judge Genece Brinkley, who sentenced Meek to 2-4 years in prison, had previously denied the "Dreams and Nightmares" hit maker bail.

Meek's mother, Kathy Williams, told TMZ: "I would like to thank the Philadelphia District Attorney’s office for carefully evaluating my son’s matter and not opposing the request for bail. The fact that Robert’s entire conviction could be overturned is a blessing and I pray that God gives Judge Brinkley the wisdom to make the right decision and allow my son to return home to his family. I truly believe justice will prevail.”

Harlem, New York native and member of The Diplomats, Juelz Santana, appeared in Essex County Superior Court on Wednesday, March 14, to face charges stemming from an alleged incident at Newark Liberty International Airport last Friday, according to NorthJersey.com

He pleaded not guilty to two felony state weapons charges related to the 38-caliber Derringer pistol found by TSA agents in his carry on bags, and a felony drug possession charge that TMZ reports is for eight oxycodone pills that were discovered.

The 36-year old rapper, born LaRon Louis James, fled the airport when the items were found. He turned himself in to Port Authority Police on Monday, March 12. 

Santana has a detention hearing on Monday March 19 in front of Judge Peter Ryan. His next court hearing is scheduled for April 9.
