DJ Paul spoke to VladTV about creating the "Who Run It" beat and the recent viral challenge that started with G Herbo's freestyle earlier this year. When asked who he thought had the best freestyle, DJ Paul gave it to G Herbo, but also mentioned Young M.A., A$AP Rocky, 21 Savage, Juicy J, Trippie Redd, and Lil Yachty.
He also spoke about the back story behind the beat, revealing that he changed the original beat, and when DJ Paul played it for the rest of the group he knew he had a hit on his hands.

The Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department is taking a look at threats made against Kanye West by Daz Dillinger.
Daz, born Delmar Drew Arnaud, posted a video on Instagram over the weekend instructing fellow Crips gang members to "fuck up" West on sight
When TMZ first spoke with the Sheriffs Department on Monday, April 30, they were not aware of the video, but are now looking into it to see if there's a "prosecutable crime."
Daz is well known within the hip hop community as a member of Tha Dogg Pound, along with Kurupt. He is Snoop Dogg's cousin and has produced hit songs for his group and Tupac Shakur.
In 1996, Tha Dogg Pound received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group for the song "What Would You Do."

We're very sad to report that up-and-coming Mississippi artist Lil Lonnie has been murdered.
USA Today reports that the 22-year old "Colors" rapper was shot multiple times while driving his SUV Sunday, April 29, in Jackson, Mississippi. The vehicle then crashed into a house. Lonnie, born, Lonnie Taylor, was pronounced dead on the scene. A female passenger escaped injury.
Our condolences go out to his family and friends.

Born and raised on the East Side of New Orleans, Fendi P’s (FKA Corner Boy P) unique voice and lifestyle raps caught the attention of Curren$y who brought him into the fold of his Jet Life Recording imprint where he has resided for the last few years.
After dropping numerous mixtapes, the first Jet Life recording artist will release his official debut album, Late Nights, Early Mornings, on 5-11-18 via Jet Life/EMPIRE. Late Nights, Early Mornings is the embodiment of years of grinding; and also promises to make Fendi a household name. “This is my greatest work to date” Fendi stated. “I’m excited for people to hear it and hear how much I have progressed.”
While the name change may throw fans off for a second, it was part and parcel of his evolution as an artist—and as a person. “As Corner Boy P, fans got to see me grow and develop as an artist. However, there are things I want to accomplish as an artist and as a man. I want to share my story and be a mentor in my community. If I want to visit a school as Corner Boy P, I do so with pre-conceived ideas of who I am and with negative connotations. So moving forward, its Fendi P; we all grow and mature.”
Late Nights, Early Mornings lead single, “Wit My Left,” featuring Lil Wayne was exclusively premiered by Complex and the projects second single, “Dayton’s & Rollie’s” is also a family affair as it features Jet Life mogul Curren$y. “When Cisco (producer) first played the track, the hook came to me as soon as I heard it” Fendi commented to Mass Appeal. “After laying it down, it was only right for Spitta to lay a verse to keep da vibe going. Spitta has Dayton’s on most of his rides and we all have Rollie’s.” The anticipation for Fendi’s project is palpable “Personally, I’m super excited about Fendi’s situation” Curren$y stated to Mass Appeal. “This is his first retail project, I remember that, its such a great feeling man.”
Anyone who is familiar with Jet Life knows they hold a special affinity for classic and custom whips. In addition to releasing his debut album, Fendi is also holding a raffle for a 1986 Buick Regal, which was custom built for him by N.O. Street Customs. Fendi will be announcing the winner of the raffle during his set at Rolling Loud in Miami next month.

Slim Jxmmi explained why they decided to release a triple album. “We wanted to give y’all something different,” he told Billboard. “Because it’s one side saying, ‘Man, this person should go solo,’ so why don’t we just end the argument and give it to you, and then give you Rae Sremmurd so you can see why we are Rae Sremmurd and who we are as individuals.”

Quavo has been charged with battery following an alleged brawl with a valet in Las Vegas.
TMZ reports that the Migos member was in one of several SUVs that pulled up to the Encore Hotel & Casino following a performance on Saturday, April 28.
A request to move the vehicles to make room for an ambulance pissed Quavo off and a fight involving the rapper, three members of his entourage and the valet ensued.
Hotel security stepped in, broke up the scuffle and detained Quavo's crew. Cops were eventually called. No arrests were made, however all four men were cited and released.
Takeoff and Offset were on the scene, but weren't involved in the fight.
