Rae Sremmurd's stepfather -- who helped raised them since they were young -- is dead after a shooting in Mississippi, and police have their brother in custody.
Tupelo PD says officers were dispatched Monday night to a home where they found a man who'd died on the scene from at least a couple gunshot wounds. According to our law enforcement sources ... Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi's younger half-brother, Michael Sullivan, is being held for psychiatric evaluation.
At this point, they're calling the 19-year-old a person of interest in the shooting.
The Lee County Medical Examiner tells TMZ the victim is 62-year-old Floyd Sullivan. He's Swae and Slim's stepdad. He's raised them ever since the boys were in middle school, and moved to Mississippi with their mother, Bernadette. Floyd also has a son, Floyd Jr., from a previous relationship.
Police say no one else is being sought in connection with the killing.
It's unclear how much Slim or Swae know about what went down. We've reached out to a rep for the duo, but so far ... no word back.
Graphic details of the murder of a man named Kevin Bacon have emerged after the alleged murder reportedly admitted to cannibalism.
Bacon, a 25-year-old hairstylist, met up with accused killer Mark Latunski on Christmas Eve after matching on Grindr, according to Michigan Live.
When Bacon never showed up at Christmas breakfast, his family called police and, four days later, Bacon’s body was found tied up by his ankles in Latunski’s house.
Latunski, 50, told police that he stabbed Bacon in the back and slit his throat, killing him, then hung him up from the rafters, according to Michigan Live. Then, he told police, he cut off his date’s testicles and ate them.
Emily Latunski, Mark’s ex-wife, petitioned the court in August to suspend his time with their children, citing his diagnoses of “major depression, paranoid schizophrenia and traits of a personality disorder,” according to Michigan Live.
“To my knowledge, I couldn’t force him to see a therapist or take medication,” Jamie Arnold, Mark Latunski’s husband, told the paper. “Never in a million years did I think he’d be capable of doing such a horrendous crime.”
Latunski has been charged with one count each of open murder and mutilation of a human body.
The other, famous Kevin Bacon mourned the 25-year-old’s death last week.
“For obvious reasons I’m thinking this morning about the friends and Family of this young person Kevin Bacon,” the “Footloose” star wrote on Instagram. "His life was taken from him much too soon. His love was hair dressing. I bet he would have done a great job on this mess on my head. RIP KB.'

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... the U.S. Secret Service is aware of George's remark, and we're told they're working to see if his words carry any legitimacy as a threat.
We're being told part of the process in making this determination will include an interview with GL in some fashion, preferably a face-to-face. One source tells us George can probably expect a knock on his door soon, and he'll be finding agents on the other side.
