Vinyl Disciples - "Lullaby" @vinyldisciples

12353422662?profile=original

In the heavily solo oriented DJ world, it is rare to find a group who can create a huge impact on the worldwide scene in such a short period of time. Vinyl Disciples have not only been able to shine and make their presence known in such a world, but they have done so, all within 5 years of picking up a record/VINYL. With their eclectic taste in music, ranging from ELEKTRO grooves with plenty of funky vocal melodies to a deeper progressive sound, these Disciples are sure to turn heads. That is certainly a guarantee

It all began after a craysee dance off, ideas where exchanged, decks where shared, mixes where released and chaos on the dance floor ensued. In short, a true collaboration was born. Since then the Disciples have grown to play around the world. Each new venue and talent has allowed the Vinyl Disciples to grow more complex, creative and far reaching in the this world of music, art and life.

This wild bunch has had the pleasure of sharing the booth with the likes of Sharam of Deep Dish, Eric Morillo, Behrouz, Roger Sanchez, Kascade, Axwell and even Karoke'd with the likes of Chris Willis :)

Vinyl Disciples Dj's: Mish Alireza and Mete Aslan, DJ Matos, Mo Islam and OJ.

Vinyl Disciples members: Anyone that Chews Their Music.

Martin Shkreli’s request to get an early release from prison was rejected by a judge, who wasn’t convinced by the 37-year-old’s argument that he could use his pharmaceutical expertise to help cure coronavirus.

“The court does not find that releasing Mr. Shkreli will protect the public, even though Mr. Shkreli seeks to leverage his experience with pharmaceuticals to help develop a cure for Covid-19 that he would purportedly provide at no cost,” District Judge Kiyo Matsumoto wrote in an order issued Saturday. “In any event, Mr. Shkreli’s self-described altruistic intentions do not provide a legal basis to grant his motion.”

The judge also rejected the idea that Shkreli, who is scheduled to be released in October 2023, was susceptible to the virus because he suffers from asthma and allergies. The “Pharma Bro” was sentenced in March 2018 to seven years after being convicted of securities fraud for lying to investors in his hedge funds and manipulating shares in Retrophin Inc., a biotech company he founded.

“Not surprised but very disappointed,” Shkreli’s lawyer, Benjamin Brafman, said in an email response to queries. “Notorious defendant never catches a break even when well deserved and in the best interest of the country.”

Some federal prisoners have gotten permission to serve out sentences in home confinement because of the pandemic. Last week, former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort, 71, was released from a low-security prison in Pennsylvania and allowed to go to his home in northern Virginia to serve the remainder of his 7 1/2–year sentence. Since late March, 2,785 of about 168,000 federal inmates have been released to home confinement, according to the Bureau of Prisons website.

Video After The Jump

BRUNSWICK, Ga. - Justice for Ahmaud Arbery, a black man killed during a pursuit by a white man and his son in Georgia, isn’t just prison time for his killers — it is changes in a local justice system that never charged them with a crime, rallygoers said Saturday.

Hundreds of people came to the Glynn County courthouse demanding accountability for a case in which charges weren’t filed until state officials stepped in after a leaked video sparked national outrage.

Arbery, 25, was killed Feb. 23 just outside the port city of Brunswick. Gregory McMichael, 64, told police he and his son, Travis McMichael, 34, pursued Arbery because they believed he was responsible for recent break-ins in the neighborhood.

The McMichaels weren’t arrested and charged with murder until May 7, after a video of the shooting was publicly released to a local radio station and less than 48 hours after state agents took over the case.

“Justice for Ahmaud is more than just the arrests of his killers,” said John Perry, president of the Brunswick NAACP chapter at the Saturday rally. “Justice is saying that we’ve got to clean up the house of Glynn County.”

Speakers at the rally demanded the resignation of Jackie Johnson, the district attorney for the Brunswick Judicial Circuit who recused herself from the investigation, and George Barnhill, the Waycross circuit district attorney who took over the case and declined to press charges. Gregory McMichael was an investigator in Johnson’s office before retiring last May. Both Johnson and Barnhill have denied wrongdoing.

An Indianapolis police detective who was caught on video making a remark about a man fatally shot by another officer needing a "closed casket" has been suspended, authorities said.

The detective, whose name has not been released, was recorded saying: "I think it's going to be a closed casket, homie," referring to Dreasjon Reed, who was fatally shot following a high-speed chase in the city on May 6 in an encounter that Reed streamed on Facebook Live.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police chief Randal Taylor has described the comment as "unacceptable."

The detective received a suspension of numerous days and has been reassigned to another unit, Officer Genae Cook, a spokeswoman for the department told NBC News on Friday.

Cook said that the identities of the officer involved in the shooting and the detective who made the inappropriate comment would not be released due to safety concerns. Both officers are African American, as was Reed.

The officer's remark was recorded on a Facebook Live stream that Reed began during the police chase. The video has been removed from Facebook but was uploaded to other social media and online platforms.

A police spokesman previously told NBC News a weapon that does not belong to the officer was recovered at the scene of the shooting.

Detectives are investigating at least 26 threats made against officers following the fatal shootings of Reed and another man, McHale Rose, 19, who was killed by officers at an apartment complex hours later, Cook said. Police have said both Reed and Rose exchanged gunfire with officers.

Pop Smoke's murder remains unsolved, and the coronavirus pandemic is doing detectives no favors ... severely hindering progress in the investigation.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... response to COVID-19 and related issues has been LAPD's top priority the past 2 months, meaning less time and resources available to focus on the rapper's killer.

When detectives are able to investigate, we're told they still try to go out and safely speak face-to-face with people in an attempt to gather evidence ... but that's been a challenge already in this case.

As we first told you ... cops were running into witness issues in the case, as people were either refusing to talk about Pop's death or providing unreliable info.

On a more positive note ... our sources say investigators are hoping the rapper's upcoming posthumous debut album will renew interest in the case, get people talking, and drum up tips and new leads.

TMZ broke the story ... Pop Smoke was gunned down in February at a house owned by 'RHOBH' star Teddi Mellencamp.

It appears the murder was a targeted hit and not an armed robbery gone awry, but law enforcement's still puzzled over the motive.

Former Broncos receiver Cody Latimer, currently a member of the Washington Redskins, was arrested on five charges following an incident early Saturday in Englewood.

Bail was set at $25,000 and Latimer posted bond and was released late Saturday morning.

Latimer, 27, was booked on five charges: Second-degree assault, menacing, illegal discharge of a firearm, prohibited use of a weapon and reckless endangerment.

According to the Douglas Co. Sheriff’s Dept., deputies were called at 12:11 a.m. to the Zenith Meridian Apartments on a call of shots fired inside an apartment.

While in route to scene, deputies learned the reporting party had heard arguing and what they believed were gunshots. Once inside the apartment, deputies detailed three individuals. One had minor injuries (unrelated to a gunshot). Latimer was taken into custody.

Latimer played four years for the Broncos (2014-17), catching 35 passes in 45 games. He caught 58 passes in 21 games over two years for the New York Giants and joined the Redskins on March 25.

Video After The Jump

(CNN) The owner of a home under construction in the Georgia neighborhood where Ahmaud Arbery was killed says he had reported no crime after surveillance video seemed to show the young man on the property.

The February 23 footage, captured moments before Arbery's death, appears to show him looking around but never touching anything -- and eventually, walking away.

"I don't want it to be put out and misused and misinterpreted for people to think that I had accused Mr. Arbery of stealing or robbery, because I never did," Larry English, the homeowner, told CNN's Chris Cuomo.

"By the time Larry saw the video, Mr. Arbery had been killed," English's attorney, Elizabeth Graddy, said.

Arbery, 25, was jogging in the Satilla Shores neighborhood outside Brunswick nearly three months ago when he was fatally shot.

Greg McMichael, 64, and his 34-year-old son, Travis, were arrested last Thursday and are facing charges of felony murder and aggravated assault, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
Greg McMichael told police after the killing that there had been "several break-ins" in the area and that Arbery looked like a suspect caught on surveillance video.

But no string of break-ins was reported in more than seven weeks prior to Arbery's death and there was only a burglary report after a gun was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in front of the McMichaels' home, police said.
