ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A longtime Orange County firefighter engineer is headed back from Texas, where he was arrested for a major drug charge.

According to an arrest report, Erik Quarterman was wearing his department uniform when he was pulled over for failure to signal.

Investigators said they found enough marijuana to feed a major drug operation -- 110 pounds.

A spokesperson for Orange County Fire rescue said Quarterman has been relieved of duty without pay.

The spokesperson said the department will schedule a hearing as part of its formal investigation process, and they are withholding comment until that process and criminal proceedings are over.

This isn’t the first time Quarterman has been in trouble. Channel 9 is currently waiting for a full copy of his personnel file and discipline history.

But 9 Investigates reported in 2016 when as a lieutenant, Quarterman failed to tell his boss when the only fire truck at his station broke down.

Nicki Minaj is being sued for more than $200 million over her song "Rich Sex" ... which a Queens rapper claims she ripped off after he played it for her.

Jawara Headley -- a Queens rapper who goes by Brinx Billions -- is suing Nicki, claiming he let her hear his version of "Rich Sex" sometime before 2016. In docs, obtained by TMZ, Brinx claims Nicki told him it would be extremely marketable and become a global hit.

But, Brinx -- who calls himself a songwriter, artist, music producer, composer and rapper -- claims Nicki jacked his song and put it on her "Queen" album. Brinx insists he's the sole author/creator/composer/writer/producer of "Rich Sex."

Interestingly enough, Jawara is already credited as a writer of "Rich Sex" according to the ASCAP database.

Brinx says he's known Nicki since 2007, when they met on MySpace, but he's still pissed his pal allegedly ripped specific lyrics, such as ... "It ain't such a thing as broke and handsome." Beyond lyrics, he says her song also has similar music, musical notes, musical arrangement, musical beats and musical rhythm.

Brinx is suing Minaj, along with Universal Music Group, Young Money, and Cash Money, for more than $200 million in damages.

The apparently unrelated deaths of two female Army soldiers in Texas are under investigation after officials said one died after being shot in her car on a freeway on New Year's Day and the other was discovered dead in her military barracks on New Year's Eve.

The soldiers were identified as 30-year-old Staff Sgt. Jessica Mitchell and 19-year-old Pfc. Asia M. Graham, according to military officials.

The back-to-back deaths come just four months after two congressional committees launched probes into the high number of deaths at Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas, in 2020, highlighted by the disappearances of three soldiers who were later found dead, including Spc. Vanessa Guillen.

Mitchell, a drill sergeant assigned to the U.S. Army Medical Center for Excellence at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston, was shot to death around 2:30 a.m. on New Year's Day while driving on Interstate 10 in San Antonio, according to the San Antonio Police Department.

Firefighters discovered Mitchell with multiple gunshot wounds after responding to what they initially thought was a car crash, police said. She was taken to University Hospital San Antonio, where she was pronounced dead around 3 a.m., police said.

The fatal shooting is being investigated by the San Antonio Police Department and the Army's Criminal Investigation Division.

Graham, of Cherryville, North Carolina, was found unresponsive in her barracks room at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas, and pronounced dead by emergency personnel, officials said.

The Army is investigating Graham's death. There was no immediate indication that foul play was involved.

Video After The Jump

The Black teenager who was falsely accused of stealing a woman's phone is now in need of therapy because the incident has seriously scarred him ... this according to his parents.

Keyon Harrold tells TMZ ... he and his ex-wife, Kat, are currently vetting therapists and looking to get their son -- 14-year-old Keyon Jr. -- into trauma therapy soon. Keyon (the dad) tells us his son is seriously traumatized ... and a lot has to do with Miya Ponsetto immediately zeroing in on him.

Keyon Jr. asked his dad a simple question that unearths lots of serious issues, including self-doubt ... "Why Me?"

Keyon says he's raised his son to become a proud, Black man, saying, "I have tried to instill dignity in my son. I'm trying to build his ego, because for so long egos of Black men have been shattered."

Keyon feels without professional help, his mission may be torpedoed by Ponsetto's vicious attack on his son. His dad tells us, "He wonders if he's good enough to own an iPhone, or whether he's out of place at a nice hotel." That, Keyon says, must immediately be nipped in the bud.

There's also a practical problem. Both parents are musicians and travel a lot, which means they stay at hotels quite a bit. Keyon says his son is now showing fear about going to hotels. Keyon Jr. has told his dad he's afraid someone will come from behind and tackle him. He's also afraid of being accused of a crime. In fact, he told his dad the day of the incident he felt like a criminal.

Keyon's handling it with broad strokes ... "You definitely belong, everywhere you go."

ATLANTA (AP) — President Donald Trump badgered & pleaded with Georgia’s election chief to overturn Joe Biden’s win in the state, suggesting in a telephone call that the official “find” enough votes to hand Trump the victory.

The conversation Saturday was the latest step in an unprecedented effort by a sitting president to pressure a state official to reverse the outcome of a free and fair election that he lost. The renewed intervention & the persistent and unfounded claims of fraud by the first president to lose reelection in almost 30 years come nearly 2 weeks before Trump leaves office & 2 days before twin runoffs in Georgia that will determine control of the Senate.

Trump confirmed in a tweet Sunday that he had spoken with Georgia’s secretary of state, Republican Brad Raffensperger, who tweeted that claims Trump made during the call were untrue.

Audio snippets of the conversation were posted online by The Washington Post. A recording of the call was later obtained by The Associated Press from a person who was on the call.

The president, who has refused to accept his loss to the Democratic president-elect, is heard telling Raffensperger at one point: “All I want to do is this. I just want to find 11,780 votes, which is one more than we have. Because we won the state.”

Georgia certified election results showing that Biden won the state’s Nov. 3 election by 11,779 votes.

Trump has repeatedly attacked how Raffensperger ran Georgia’s elections, claiming without evidence that the state’s 16 electoral votes were wrongly given to Biden.

“He has no clue!” Trump tweeted of Raffensperger, saying the state official “was unwilling, or unable” to answer questions about a series of claims about ballot handling & voters that have been debunked or shot down by judges & election authorities.

Raffensperger’s Twitter response: “Respectfully, President Trump: What you’re saying is not true. The truth will come out.”

Nearly all the legal challenges from Trump & his allies have been dismissed by judges, including 2 by the Supreme Court. #washingtonpost #impeachtrump #impeachthepresident #trumptapes #corruption #donaldtrump #totalitarianism #crook #trump #45 #presidenttrump #presidentialelection #threat #strongarm #intimidation #georgia #joebiden #presidentbiden #caughtontape #bradraffensperger #republicans #tedcruz #attackondemocracy #unprecedented #williambarr #mikepence #kamalaharris #extortion #electionfraud

The men responsible for Ahmaud Arbery's death have a litany of requests for their murder trial -- notably, they don't want the word "victim" uttered in court while referring to him.

Defense attorneys for Travis and Greg McMichael -- the father and son who chased Ahmaud down with their truck and then proceeded to shoot and kill him in a struggle -- have filed new motions ... which include barring the prosecution from ever referring to Ahmaud as a victim in front of the jury, 'cause they say that's a conclusion that can't be reached before a verdict.

According to the docs, obtained by TMZ, the McMichaels argue no crime has been committed -- remember, they've pled not guilty and argued self-defense. As a result ... they say "loaded words" like "victim" might prejudice jurors against them from the jump.

The McMichaels want neutral language used for a fair shake, as they haven't conceded to any wrongdoing on their part.

There's more ... the McMichaels also asked that only one "in life" photograph be permitted at trial to depict Ahmaud -- and that that photo show him alone without any family members or friends. Not just that, but the defense asks that no family member of his be able to identify him in court ... they want that done by an unrelated, third party witness, if necessary.

The reason ... they argue too many photos of the guy will create an ingrained bias in the jury's collective mind, and paint Ahmaud as a sympathetic character. They say they don't want his family involved in ID'ing either because of possible emotional outbursts, which may also affect the jurors. So in other words, the McMichaels want this as sterile as possible.

One last thing ... the McMichaels have asked that BLM face masks not be permitted in court, that any jail calls they've made be stricken as usable evidence, but that Ahmaud's criminal record be admissible.

A judge has yet to weigh in, and a trial date isn't set. #ahmaudarbery #justiceforahmaudarbery #ripahmaudarbery #murder #homicide #travismcmichael #gregmcmichael #roddiebryan #williambryan #killers #gun #guns #rifle #gunviolence #racists #racism #africanamerican #blackmale #caughtoncamera #brunswick #trial #georgia #murdertrial #glynncounty

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The ongoing controversy over the money left behind by Prince when he died without a will is heating up again after Internal Revenue Service calculations showed that executors of the rock star's estate undervalued it by 50%, or about $80 million.

The IRS determined that Prince’s estate is worth $163.2 million, overshadowing the $82.3 million valuation submitted by Comerica Bank & Trust, the estate’s administrator. The discrepancy primarily involves Prince’s music publishing and recording interests, according to court documents.

Documents show the IRS believes that Prince's estate owes another $32.4 million in federal taxes, roughly doubling the tax bill based on Comerica’s valuation, the Star Tribune reported.

The IRS also has ordered a $6.4 million “accuracy-related penalty” on Prince’s estate, citing a “substantial” undervaluation of assets, documents show.

Prince’s death of a fentanyl overdose on April 21, 2016, created one of the largest and most complicated probate court proceedings in Minnesota history. Estimates of his net worth have varied widely, from $100 million to $300 million.

Comerica and its lawyers at Fredrikson & Byron in Minneapolis maintain their estate valuations are solid. Comerica sued the IRS this summer in U.S. Tax Court in Washington, D.C., saying the agency’s calculations are riddled with errors. #prince #ripprince #legend #musicalgenius #musician #singer #songwriter #princerogersnelson #irs #unclesam #princeestate #taxes #princeestateowes32millionintaxes #comerica #lawsuit #executors #errors #vanity6 #sineadoconnor #purplerain #sheilae #therevolution #wendyandlisa #andywarhol #vanity #apollonia #rockandrollhalloffame

Ryan Garcia survived a second-round knockdown & scored the biggest knockout of his career when he landed a left to the body that finished Luke Campbell in the seventh round of their WBC interim lightweight title fight on Saturday.

"I've never been dropped in my life," Garcia (21-0, 18 KOs) said after the fight. "I got a little too excited about the moment. I wanted to crack him and he cracked me. I had to adjust. I knew I could beat him. I had to show everyone what a warrior is really like."

Garcia collected himself after the knockdown & then controlled the third and fourth rounds with superior hand speed & accuracy. The tide turned in the fifth when Garcia landed a trademark left hook in the final seconds that hurt Campbell badly.

In the seventh, Campbell was overly concerned with another hook landing; Garcia changed levels to sink a left hook into the 2012 Olympic gold medalist's midsection. Campbell sank to his knees after a delayed reaction & the referee reached the count of 10.

"He was very worried about that hook coming. He thought I was going up top and I changed direction real quick," a jubilant Garcia said after notching the biggest victory of his career. Not only did he survive the early scare, but he finished an opponent who had never been stopped before.

"I think I showed a lot of people who I really am," Garcia said. "They wanted to call me a social media star. You aren't who people tell you who you are, you are who you choose to be."

He made it clear who he wants to face next.

"I'm a man of my word; let's go, Tank," Garcia said, calling out Gervonta "Tank" Davis. "I really want to fight Tank. I fought an Olympic gold medalist. Linares and Lomachenko couldn't stop him and I did."

As WBC interim lightweight title, Garcia becomes the mandatory challenger to fellow rising star and WBC champion Devin Haney.

"Listen, I'll fight Devin Haney, too. What do the people want to see?" Garcia asked. #ryangarcia #lukecampbell #gervontadavis #tankdavis #devinhaney #jorgelinares #vasyllomachenko #teofimolopez #boxing #boxers #oscaredelahoya #goldenboypromotions #floydmayweather #mayweatherpromotions #themoneyteam #thesweetscience #thehurstbusiness #fight #fighters

A Wisconsin pharmacist at Aurora Medical Center has been arrested after it emerged that a hospital worker deliberately spoiled hundreds of doses of a COVID-19 vaccine, according to a report.

That means that the doses 57 people received Saturday are all but useless. Moderna has told Aurora that there’s no safety concerns, but the hospital system is closely monitoring the people who received the spoiled doses.

Steven Brandenburg, 46, was taken into custody Thursday at Ozaukee County Jail, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.

Bradenburg — who appears sullen in his mugshot — was reportedly arrested on preliminary charges of felony criminal damage to property and recklessly endangering safety.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s Louisville home was vandalized following his block of $2,000 stimulus checks to most Americans according to the Louisville Courier Journal.

In a statement Saturday morning, McConnell said “I’ve spent my career fighting for the First Amendment and defending peaceful protest. I appreciate every Kentuckian who has engaged in the democratic process whether they agree with me or not.”

“This is different,” he continued. “Vandalism and the politics of fear have no place in our society.”

He concluded: “My wife and I have never been intimidated by this toxic playbook. We just hope our neighbors in Louisville aren’t too inconvenienced by this radical tantrum.”

A spokesperson for the senator did not immediately reply when asked if he was home during the incident. Louisville Metro Police have not released any information regarding whether they have any suspects or additional information about the vandalism.

House Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s home in San Francisco was similarly the target of vandalism following Congress’ failed attempt to provide Americans with $2,000 stimulus checks. #mitchmcconnell #mitchmcconnellhomevandalized #mitchmcconnellvandalized #vandalism #vandalized #vandals #stimuluschecks #senator #senatemajorityleader #whereismymoney #stimulusbill #covidrelief #covidreliefpackage #americans #fedup #hurting #rent #unemplymentbenefits #smallbusinesses #republicans #democrats #nancypelosi #donaldtrump #congress #congresswoman #louisville #stimuluspackage #politicians

CHICAGO (AP) — Thousands of people in Illinois convicted of low-level marijuana charges are starting the new year with clean records.

Gov. J.B. Pritzker on Thursday issued pardons for 9,129 low-level cannabis conviction records and 492,192 cannabis-related arrests were expunged by the Illinois State Police.

The expungement process is part of the state law that legalized the licensed sales of marijuana that began in 2020, and is designed to reduce the impact of drug laws, particularly for minorities.

“Statewide, Illinoisans hold hundreds of thousands low-level cannabis-related records, a burden disproportionately shouldered by communities of color,” Pritzker said in a statement. “We will never be able to fully remedy the depth of that damage. But we can govern with the courage to admit the mistakes of our past — and the decency to set a better path forward.”

The law requires 47,000 cannabis-related arrest records created between 2013 and 2019 be expunged by Friday. With the expungement of all 492,129 cannabis arrest records, state police officials said they are ahead of the January 2025 deadline for completing automatic expungements at the state level.

Arrest records from DuPage, Kane, Knox, Lake, McHenry, McLean, Peoria, Rock Island, Will and Winnebago counties have been expunged. The remaining counties have four years to expunge arrest records. #weedlife #marijuana #weedsmokers #marijuana #cannabis #arrests #convictions #pardon #pardoned #expunged #illinois #governor #chicago #cookcounty #jbpritzker #llinoisstatepolice #cleanslate #freshstart #itsanewday #doover #convictions #minorities #overcrowding #lowlevelconvictions #cleanrecords

Gervonta Davis is the rising superstar of modern-boxing. In no time, he’s ascended to the top thanks to his insane boxing skills. As famous as he is for his slick skills inside the ring, ‘Tank’ is equally renowned for his social media game. Oscar De La Hoya became ‘Tank’s’ latest victim due to his comments ahead of Ryan Garcia’s fight.

The ‘Golden Boy’ wants ‘Tank’ and Ryan Garcia to fight in 2021. He said, “I love the Tank fight. I think Ryan Garcia walks through the Tank.”

This statement caught Davis’s eye, and he took a wild shot at ‘Golden Boy’. He retweeted the post and wrote, “He back doing coke?”

Garcia will confront Luke Campbell on Saturday and if he gets past him, he will directly be in line for the WBC lightweight title shot against Devin Haney. However, boxing enthusiasts are keen on watching Garcia take on the stout challenge of fighting Gervonta Davis.

However, there have been no official talks between their promotions to align this battle in the near future.

Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia are the top-two young talents present in modern-boxing. The duo has shown a lot of promise and have the desire to put together a successful run in boxing. But there can only be one between them who would walk down as a contemporary legend.

Davis is the regular WBA lightweight champion and is undefeated as a professional. He fought last in October 2020 and secured a KO win over Leo Santa Cruz. As of now, he doesn’t have a title fight in the offing.

On the flip side, Garcia will take on Devin Haney if he gets past Luke Campbell this Saturday. If he wins and goes up against Haney, it will somewhere be in mid-2021. Post that, if he wins, he might get scheduled to confront his biggest opponent, Gervonta Davis, by year-end.

How excited are you to see this epic encounter?
