Jay-Z says there’s “not a chance in hell” someone could take him on in a VERZUZ battle.
The comments came after Rick Ross recently said that it was “a possibility” for the pair to enter a battle.
VERZUZ is the popular entertainment series created by Swizz Beatz and Timbaland that pits producers, songwriters and artists against each other in a rap battle style format that is broadcast via Instagram Live, Triller, YouTube, Facebook, and Fire TV.
Competitors take it in turns playing a song from a list of 20 from their discography, as fans, friends and fellow artists watch on.
In a new Twitter Spaces conversation with Alicia Keys and Rob Markman, Jay-Z was asked about the possibility of doing a VERZUZ battle.
He replied: “No one can stand on that stage with me. It’s not a chance in hell that anyone can stand on that stage with me.
“You got to stand in front of the ‘Grammy Family Freestyle’ live?” he added. “No one has ever even seen me perform that, you got to stand in front of that? That ain’t never going to happen.”

Sean “Diddy” Combs will reacquire the “Sean John” men’s fashion brand that he founded in 1998 after making the winning $7.551 million bid at an auction as the rapper turned mogul looks to get back into the clothing industry.
The Combs-backed SLC Fashion LLC was behind the winning $7.551 million cash bid to purchase “Sean John” Monday, according to court filings viewed by Forbes.
The $7.551 million bid narrowly beat out United Ventures LLC’s $7.50 million cash offer.
Combs had sold a majority stake in Sean John in 2016 to Global Brands Group Holding Ltd., a holding company specializing in celebrity apparel lines that filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in July and placed “Sean John” along with its other assets up for auction.
Combs said in a written statement to Forbes: “I launched Sean John in 1998 with the goal of building a premium brand that shattered tradition and introduced Hip Hop to high-fashion on a global scale. Seeing how streetwear has evolved to rewrite the rules of fashion and impact culture across categories, I’m ready to reclaim ownership of the brand, build a team of visionary designers and global partners to write the next chapter of Sean John’s legacy.”

Blac Youngsta is either clueless or he's gonna have a wave of hate coming his way from Young Dolph fans after posing next to a tomb with the late rapper's name on it in a new music video.
Youngsta -- who was a known enemy of Dolph -- released the video for his song "Im Assuming" Monday, filmed almost entirely in a cemetery. While it's very brief, around the 1-minute-mark of the video, you see the last name Thornton on the tomb he's rapping in front of ... Dolph's real name was Adolph Thornton Jr.
While the song's lyrics don't seem to directly talk about Dolph's death, they're certainly violent -- "I been a street n**** that murder s*** ... I'm on the verge, 'bout to purge with the young n*****. They stackin' bodies.
Blac Youngsta and Young Dolph had a very nasty history, back in 2017 BY turned himself in to cops investigating a Dolph shooting in Charlotte ... and he was also named a person of interest when Dolph was shot in L.A. later that year.
Charges against BY in the Charlotte case -- where more than 100 rounds were fired into an SUV Dolph was traveling in -- were dropped for lack of evidence.
As we reported, Dolph was killed in Memphis last month ... gunned down by two men as he visited a local cookie shop. There have not been any arrests made in that case.

Lawrence Taylor is fighting back in his sex offender case ... the NFL legend has pled not guilty to two felony charges, TMZ Sports has learned.
Court records show Taylor, through his attorney, submitted the pleas on Monday afternoon.
"Lawrence has pled not guilty and we will be working with the prosecutors on the case for a full dismissal," one of Taylor's lawyers, Arthur Aidala, tells us.
"There was some confusion as to Lawrence’s home address that has since been rectified."
As we previously reported, LT -- arguably the greatest New York Giant ever -- was arrested on Dec. 16 in Florida ... and ultimately charged with two felony counts of failure to register as a sexual offender.
Further details surrounding the case and the arrest have yet to be revealed, but Aidala said the day after Taylor was booked that it was all a big misunderstanding.
"Mr. Taylor was constantly a resident of the marital home where he was registered, but on advice of local law enforcement he was sleeping outside the home," Aidala said.
"We are confident that this will be dismissed at the first court hearing."
Taylor's first date in court has yet to be set, records show.

LONDON (AP) — A British court on Tuesday ordered the ruler of Dubai to pay his ex-wife and their children close to 550 million pounds ($730 million), in 1 of the most expensive divorce settlements in British history.
The High Court said Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum must pay 251.5 million pounds to his 6th wife, Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, and make ongoing payments for their children Al Jalila, 14, and Zayed, 9, underpinned by a bank guarantee of 290 million pounds.
The total amount the children receive could be more or less than 290 million pounds, depending on factors including how long they live & whether they reconcile with their father. The settlement includes 11 million pounds a year to cover security costs for Princess Haya & the children while they are minors.
Judge Philip Moor said the family needed “water-tight security,” & that “absolutely uniquely,” the main threat to them came from Sheikh Mohammed, rather than outside sources.
Haya, 47, fled to the U.K. in 2019 & sought custody of her 2 children through the British courts. The princess, who is the daughter of the late King Hussein of Jordan, said she was “terrified” of her husband, who is alleged to have ordered the forced return to the Gulf emirate of 2 of his daughters.
Sheikh Mohammed, 72, is also the vice president & prime minister of the United Arab Emirates & a major horse breeder. The founder of the successful Godolphin horse-racing stable, he is on friendly terms with Queen Elizabeth II.
Haya, a graduate of Oxford University, is also a keen equestrian & competed in show jumping for Jordan at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

An Arkansas woman allegedly told police her husband may have beaten their newborn to death while his was sleepwalking.
Charles Dugan, 26, was arrested on a second-degree murder charge last Thursday after an autopsy revealed his 4-week-old daughter died of blunt force trauma to the head.
Police have been investigating the baby’s death ever since they were called to Dugan’s home in Fayetteville on Aug. 29 following reports the girl was in cardiac arrest.
Dugan & his wife, who wasn’t named by authorities, were reinterviewed by investigators earlier this month after a medical examiner ruled the newborn’s death a homicide.
In addition to the blunt force trauma, the autopsy revealed the baby had suffered rib fractures.
Dugan’s wife told cops her husband would often sleepwalk & he could have been having an episode at the time.
She said Dugan had once tried to “body slam” her while he was sleepwalking.
Dugan allegedly told detectives that he couldn’t remember if he had been sleepwalking when the girl suffered the fatal injuries.
Authorities said Dugan has repeatedly changed his story regarding his daughter’s death.
He initially told cops he put the baby down in her crib & propped her bottle in her mouth while he went to use the bathroom.
Dugan allegedly returned 10 minutes later to find the baby choking on her milk. He told police he tried to call 911 but the call wouldn’t connect.
He alleged that he patted the baby on her back to clear her airways before going to a neighbor’s home so they could call 911.
In the wake of the medical examiner’s findings, Dugan allegedly told police he had fallen asleep on his bed with the baby on his chest.
He claimed the infant may have fallen & struck her head while he was sleeping.
Dugan is being held with no bond set on the second-degree murder charge.

It's no secret that prior to Young Dolph's passing, the Paper Route Empire CEO had a running beef with Collective Music Group boss Yo Gotti and his artist Blac Youngsta.
Diss records were exchanged as both Dolph and Gotti proclaimed to be The King of Memphis.
During a concert in Dallas over the weekend, Youngsta performed "Shake Sum." A song aimed at Dolph, which was originally released in 2016. Some people were quick to say Youngsta was out of bounds for dissing a dead man. Which prompted the 31-year old, born Sammie Benson, to respond to the criticism and rumors he wasn't making sure his grandmother's home was taken care of.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — A white security guard has been charged with first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of an unarmed Black man at a Memphis gas station in August.
Court records show that Gregory Livingston has been indicted for the killing of Alvin Motley Jr. in a dispute over loud music in east Memphis on Aug. 7, The Commercial Appeal reports.
Motley was a passenger in a car at a Kroger gas station when Livingston approached and engaged in a conversation that prosecutors said steadily escalated, according to the documents. Subsequently, as Motley walked toward Livingston during the argument and suggested they discuss the matter “like men,” Livingston drew his firearm and fired a single shot into Motley’s chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
In a prior court hearing, Livingston’s attorneys cited an account from one witness that Motley had threatened Livingston physically during the altercation, according to the newspaper.

In this clip, Boosie reacted to being asked if he thinks OJ Simpson is guilty despite being proven innocent in his 1995 trial. Boosie stated that he doesn't speak on murder cases, but he went on to say that he remembers cheering with his family when the verdict was read. Boosie also addressed people feeling like the verdict was "payback" for years of injustices.
