When you think of the top female emcees ever you have to include names like MC Lyte, Salt-N-Pepa, Eve, Lauryn Hill, Rah Digga, Lil Kim, Trina, Missy Elliot and Nicki Minaj.
Picking the two best ever would be a hard task, but this morning Peter Rosenberg of Hot 97 selected Nicki and Lauryn as the two biggest of all time.
"If you're talking about global reach and impact the two biggest female rappers in history are Lauryn Hill and Nicki Minaj. Love it or hate it, it's the facts," Peter said.

We're sorry to report that Andre 3000's mother has passed away. Billboard reports that Sharon Benjamin-Hodo died in her Atlanta home on her son's 38th birthday, May 27th.
Benjamin-Hodo was the founder of The Starlight Camp for underprivileged children, which she ran out of her husband, Pastor Robert Hodo's church, the New Morning Light Missionary Baptist Church in Conley, GA.
Her spokesperson asked that mourners not send flowers. Instead, they request continued support of The Starlight Camp.

Chief Keef is in trouble with the law again. Police say the 17-year old was spotted in Northfield, Illinois at 3:45 a.m. Monday morning going 110 mph in his 2011 BMW X6 M.
"He was clocked at 110 in a 55 mph zone," Northfield Deputy Chief Claude Casaletto told the Chicago Tribune. "The officers typically sit off on the shoulder and wait for speeders. He came up as a high number."
Keef, real name Keith Cozart, had three other passengers in the car with him at the time he was stopped. The teen's driving permit only allows him to have one according to TMZ.
The rapper was arrested, while one of the passengers was allowed to drive the vehicle home. Keef is due back in court on June 17th.
This is the second time in 7 days he's been taken into police custody. He was arrested for disorderly conduct last Monday near Atlanta after a security guard reported the smell of marijuana coming from his hotel room.
