It's been 14 years since D'Angelo released sophomore album entitled Voodoo. Since then there have been a number of rumors over the years about a new disc, but nothing ever materialized.
As a fan of great music I'm happy to report that the R&B superstar will finally deliver the long awaited project this year.
The singer's manager, Kevin Liles, confirmed to Rolling Stone that not only is a new album forthcoming, there will also be an international tour launching in October.
"[I]t's very melodic and there's an influence of all the things he loves: there's James Brown, there's Prince, and everything people grew up loving D'Angelo for, from Brown Sugar to Voodoo." Liles said about the project. "It's a mixture and an evolution of where he is right now. And you have to think that when you have the opportunity to work 10 years on an album, that album's truly gonna be what you want it to be. Is it limited to the kind of sound that he did with the earlier records? No, it's not."

Angie will now host afternoons on Power 105.1 in New York and Midday's on Miami's 103.5 The Beat. This is a huge coup for Clear Channel. Angie is highly respected throughout the industry and is known for nailing down interviews with everyone from Jay Z to 50 Cent.
"I am grateful to the Emmis family for my time with the company and the immeasurable way that it has shaped my life," Angie wrote on Instagram. "We made history together in so many ways and I will cherish those memories and my friendships forever. This was one of the toughest decisions I've ever had to make but ultimately it is time to move on, to grow and to be challenged in new ways. Saying goodbye is always emotional and bitter sweet but I am extremely excited about the future. Thank you HOT97 and most importantly....the listeners... for an unimaginable journey."

When “Wild ‘N Out” made its return to television last year, we spoke with some of the loose cannons tasked with making us laugh our asses off every Wednesday night. Between hilarious disses aimed at Kevin Hart and Vinny Guadagnino, the newbies proved they earned their spots on the show. But this year, we want more talk and even more walk.
That’s why, in the weeks leading up to the July 2 premiere of Season 6, we’ll be sharing videos in which we put the cast’s improv skills to the test. Just consider it a prelude to the insanity that will ensue on the show.
The new group of jokesters, led by host Nick Cannon, includes some Season 5 favorites like Timothy De LaGhetto, Karlous Miller and Chico Bean, but there are a few fresh faces on their tails. In our first Comedy Improv Theater segment below, Akaash Singh, a former “Guy Code” writer now making his TV debut, and Jack Thriller, 50 Cent‘s star blogger, are first to step up to the plate. Check out their take on our wacky word game, complete with stemmed Solo cups and…tentacles.

DMX's income just took a substantial hit.
According to TMZ, a court has ordered the rapper's wages garnished from Universal Music Publishing to the tune of $15,000 a month.
$10,000 of that amount is being allocated for child support for his four children with ex-wife Tashera Simmons. The remaining $5,000 will go towards "other."
X and Tashera separated in 2010 after eleven years of marriage.

Universal Pictures announces the cast and filmmakers of Straight Outta Compton (clockwise, from top left): producer Ice Cube, director F. Gary Gray, producer Dr. Dre, actor Corey Hawkins (as Dr. Dre), Jason Mitchell (as Eazy-E) and O’Shea Jackson Jr. (as Ice Cube).
The highly anticipated N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton is taking shape.
F. Gary Gray will direct the film. Jason Mitchell will portray Eazy E, Corey Hawkins tackles the role of Dr. Dre and O'Shea Jackson Jr. will play his father Ice Cube.
Universal Picture just released the first photo (up top) from the set of the film. It will be released on August 14, 2015. It replaces the next installment of the Bourne franchise, which was originally scheduled to hit theaters on that date, but was pushed back to 2016.
Corey Hawkins
Hawkins wasn't Dr. Dre's first choice to portray him. The producer originally wanted Michael B. Jordan (Fruitvale Station), but the actor is busy filming his role as Johnny Storm/ The Human Torch in The Fantastic Four remake.
Hawkins does have a nice resume under his belt though. He's appeared in Non-Stop, Romeo and Juliet, Iron Man 3 and more.
"We're going for a dramatic story that encompasses hip hop, dope-dealing, Reaganomics, Aids, LAPD, rap feuds, FBI, PMRC, the Parental Advisory stickers on the records ... all of it," Cube told The Guardian.
