LAS VEGAS (AP) — Conor McGregor backed up every word he ever said to Jose Aldo with one spectacular punch.
McGregor stopped Aldo with a left hand to the jaw just 13 seconds into the first round Saturday night, claiming the undisputed featherweight title at UFC 194.
McGregor (19-2) finished the fight with an electrifying exchange shortly after the opening bell, slipping Aldo's lead right and cracking the champ with his formidable punching power.
Aldo (25-2) actually finished his punch and hit McGregor with a left, but the champ fell senseless to the ground. McGregor pounced, only to be pulled off in his fifth consecutive knockout victory.
"What I say happens, happens," McGregor said. "There is no doubt now."
Aldo had won 18 consecutive fights over the last 10 years, but not even the only previous 145-pound champion in UFC history could survive McGregor.
The loquacious Irish brawler goaded Aldo throughout the promotion of their delayed bout, only to earn a victory that was even more dramatic than he predicted. McGregor's victory was the fastest title fight in UFC history, surpassing Ronda Rousey's 14-second win over Cat Zingano at UFC 184 in February.
"Precision beats power, and timing beats speed," McGregor said. "Jose was a phenomenal champion. He deserved to go a little bit longer, but I still feel at the end of the day, precision beats power and timing beats speed. That's what happened."
Luke Rockhold also claimed the UFC middleweight title with a bloody fourth-round stoppage of previously unbeaten champion Chris Weidman in front of a frenzied crowd at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
But the sellout crowd was packed with thousands of screaming Irish fans who traveled to see whether their braggadocious countryman could back up his talk. The fans celebrated long after McGregor left the cage, singing and carousing and forming a lengthy conga line.
McGregor, a former plumber who was fairly late to take up mixed martial arts as a career, has won 15 consecutive fights since November 2010 while building an international celebrity on his combination of MMA skill and verbal dexterity. He is 7-0 in UFC bouts, stopping all but one opponent with his vaunted punching power.
McGregor picked one of the UFC's most daunting targets in Aldo, who had made seven consecutive title defenses. The Irishman targeted the imperious Brazilian champion with a steady stream of trash talk and entertaining antics, infuriating Aldo while making himself into a pay-per-view draw and arguably the UFC's second-biggest star behind Rousey.
McGregor and Aldo were scheduled to meet at UFC 189 in July, but Aldo pulled out with an injury two weeks before the bout. McGregor stopped Chad Mendes to win the interim title belt but never stopped talking about Aldo.
Aldo hadn't fought since October 2014 due to injury. After recovering from the knockout, Aldo called for a rematch in the cage, saying through an interpreter that it "wasn't a real fight."

For just the third time in UFC history, two undisputed title belts changed hands on the same card.
Rockhold (15-2) finished his own championship victory with brute style, pounding Weidman on the ground late in the third and again in the fourth. When referee Herb Dean finally pulled Rockhold off the bloodied Weidman (13-1), the new champion collapsed face-down on the canvas in relief.
"It's hard to take this all in," Rockhold said. "I went through hell to get here, but it's all worth it now."
Rockhold, a native of Santa Cruz, California, has stopped his last five opponents.
He seized control of the fight when Weidman attempted to throw a wheel kick in the third round. Rockhold dodged it and took the champ to the ground — the first time Weidman, a renowned wrestler, had ever been taken down in a UFC fight.
"He shouldn't be trying that kind of stuff on me," Rockhold said.
Weidman had ruled atop the division since dethroning long-reigning champ Anderson Silva in 2013 and breaking Silva's leg in the rematch. Injuries limited Weidman's activity, but Rockhold established himself as the clear No. 1 contender with four straight UFC victories since a testosterone-aided Vitor Belfort stopped him in Rockhold's only loss in 14 fights since November 2007.
UFC 194 concluded an unprecedented three-day stretch of three fight cards on the Las Vegas Strip.
Yoel Romero won an entertaining split decision over Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza in a meeting of middleweight contenders. Demian Maia also dominated Iceland's Gunnar Nelson with his peerless jiu-jitsu to win a wide decision, and veteran bantamweight Urijah Faber finished the preliminary bouts with a bruising win over Frankie Saenz.

Earlier this year DJ Vlad sat down with famed adult actress Nikki Benz and he got her reaction to Lord Jamar saying women can't get away with sleeping with multiple partners like men. After Nikki said that she believes Lord Jamar is "slut shaming" women, the Brand Nubian rapper addressed the situation in an all-new interview.
During the sit down Lord Jamar disagreed that he is slut shaming women, and he stated that "shame is necessary in order to enforce certain social customs and norms." He also clarified that he doesn't harbor hate for porn stars as human beings, and Jamar added that "I still love you as a person, but I feel sorry that you were put in this position that you had to do this shit."
DJ Vlad switched things up with the Brand Nubian rapper by asking him how he would feel about his son doing films, and Lord Jamar admitted that he would not offer his support. You can check out more of his response in the above clip, including his thoughts on Laurence Fishburne's daughter.

Spike Lee's new film, "Chi-Raq," has been getting mixed reviews. Most of the rappers that actually live in Chicago have given it a thumbs down.
Lil Bibby talks to Vlad TV about Spike and the movie.
"It's kind of like a musical or satire, or something like that. It don't really portray Chicago like that," Bibby said. "And he did a lot of funny shit with it. And it just made me laugh at certain moments. I think that wasn't smart to do it like that. I think he should have did a real documentary and made people wanna cry, because it's a fucked up place. It's some crazy shit that's going on that nobody really understands, but the people in Chicago."
Bibby went on to say that he definitely wouldn't watch it again.
"I don't wanna bash Spike Lee 'cause I understand he's a legend in the movie business. It's always good to see a black person that made it to that level," Bibby continued. "But I think he should have did it as a documentary and made people wanna actually cry because it's kind of sad how the kids think in Chicago. I will tell you think...I don't think I would watch it again."

Stitches now knows better than anyone that if you go looking for trouble, you will eventually find it.
Honestly, I've been trying to ignore this troll, but his L's are piling up so fast I have to give him some attention since he's now earned a spot in the "L Hall of Fame."
For about a year now he has been taunting The Game via social media, in an attempt to jump start his rap career.
Several days ago, the guy films himself being a stalker outside of a Miami club The Game was in, claiming he wanted to shoot the fade. When he walked up to the front of the club he got knocked out cold by Game's manager, Wack 100.
To make matters worse, Miami police arrested Stitches and charged him with resisting an officer without violence, marijuana possession, and a couple of outstanding warrants.
The very next day Stiches got jumped by 2 guys from his own crew.

Nicki Minaj is standing by her man's side when he needs her most. She testified that she would help Meek Mill walk a straight line and stay out of trouble during his parole violation hearing in Philadelphia on Thursday, December 10.
"He's not perfect but I can't believe how much he's changed," Minaj said, according to the Associated Press.
Prosecutors argued that Meek, real name Robert Williams, violated his parole stemming from a 2009 drug and gun case by repeatedly changing his court-approved travel schedule. The judge in the case said the "House Party" hit maker had submitting a suspicious urine sample.
His attorney, Frank DeSimone, told Common Pleas Judge Genece Brinkley, that the music industry keeps his client very busy and things often change regarding where he will be. He added that the 28-year old was not trying to purposely be disrespectful.
DeSimone also said that Meek and Minaj were serious about getting married.
Minaj posted two photos on her Instagram page Wednesday, December 9, sporting a rock on her finger, leading many to believe the two had gotten engaged.
Prior to today's hearing Meek vented on his Instagram page that he's been dealing with this case for 9 years.
"I'm actually fighting for my life and freedom ... Something I've been going thru from a case I caught at 19 years old and been on probation since... I am 28 now," he wrote. "It's funny to see people on the internet laughing and joking about me and my family going thru these things, it's just shows me where the world is at nowadays! But if you are for me prayers up and wish me the best! Thank you to everybody that ever supported and I will continue to b great! If this is my last post know I will continue to remain strong and grow to b a better man and set a example for every minority with a dream that anything is possible! Trials and tribulations and chances makes chances & never lose faith! No matter how things go. PRAYERS UP!!"
He's due back in court on December 17. If the judge decides that Meek has violated his parole he could be headed back to jail.
