Michael K. Williams -- best known for his breakout role as Omar Little on "The Wire" -- is dead from a suspected drug overdose ... TMZ has learned.

According to law enforcement sources ... Williams was found dead in his Brooklyn apartment Monday after a relative hadn't heard from him in a couple days and went to check on him.

We're told the actor was found in the living room of his home, and drug paraphernalia was on a table nearby ... suggesting he may have died from an OD. NY Post first reported the death.

After years of minor roles on TV and movies, Williams became a household name as Omar -- the gritty, streetwise and homosexual criminal on HBO's "The Wire" ... earning him critical acclaim and adoration from fans.

Williams would go on to star in several other hit HBO series' -- like "Boardwalk Empire," "The Night Of" and more recently "Lovecraft Country" -- as well as movies like "12 Years a Slave" and "Assassin's Creed."

One of the actor's trademarks was his signature facial scar -- the result of a bar fight he got involved in on his 25th birthday that almost killed him. According to Williams ... the scar helped to launch his acting career, leading to calls to do music videos and some minor work playing a thug in TV shows.

Williams was a 5-time Emmy nominee, and when we last saw him we had a good convo about his nom for 'Lovecraft.'

He is survived by his son, Elijah.

Williams was 54.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WTXL) — A combat sharpshooter accused of fatally shooting a mother, her 3-month-old baby and two others in a random attack in Florida was ordered jailed without bond Monday during his first court appearance.

Authorities say 33-year-old Bryan Riley surrendered early Sunday after a furious shootout.

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd says Riley stopped by a family's home in Lakeland Saturday evening saying he was on a mission from God.

Forty-year-old Justice Gleason told him to leave, but he returned hours later and invaded the home, killing Gleason and three others.

An 11-year-old girl was shot seven times and survived. She was in critical but stable condition on Monday.

Riley will be getting a private attorney, but in the meanwhile, he has requested a public defender. The defendant is said to be a Marine who was honorably discharged and now works as security for ESS Global Corporation.

He faces the following charges:

*Four counts of first-degree murder

*Seven counts of attempted murder of law enforcement officer

*Two counts of Shooting into Building (He received $5,000 bond for each for these two charges)

*Two counts of armed burglary with assault/battery

*Second-degree arson

*Attempted murder in the first-degree with weapon

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Adult film actor Ron Jeremy leveraged the novelty of his celebrity to meet & often isolate women whom he raped & sexually assaulted, using the same tactics for years, according to grand jury testimony from 21 women that was unsealed Saturday.

“Wouldn’t it be funny if we got a picture & an autograph from him?” one woman, identified only as Jane Doe 8, said she remembered telling her friend when they saw Jeremy in 2013 at a West Hollywood bar and grill. He would sexually assault her minutes later, testified the woman, one of several who said their attacks came in the same small bathroom.

“I was like, wow, you know, this is Ron Jeremy, I mean, I was kind of impressed. I’m like he’s — I don’t want to say ‘celebrity,’ but you know, he kind of was,” said another woman, Jane Doe 7, when Jeremy came to the door of the Hollywood hotel room she was sharing with friends, where the porn actor would rape her soon after.

Jeremy, 68, whose legal name is Ronald Jeremy Hyatt, pleaded not guilty to more than 30 counts of sexual assault, including 12 counts of rape, when the Los Angeles County grand jury returned an indictment against him on Aug. 25. He has been in jail since his arrest in June 2020. His attorney, Stuart Goldfarb, has said he is “innocent of all the charges” and they would prove it.

Nicknamed “The Hedgehog,” Jeremy has been among the best-known & most prolific performers in the porn industry for decades, and became a recognizable pop cultural novelty through reality shows, public appearances and music videos. He has long been a magnet for seekers of autographs & selfies, which is how most of the women & girls aged 15 to 51 he is accused of assaulting first met him.

Some didn’t even recognize him initially, but they came into his orbit because of the air of fame around him. A woman whom Jeremy is charged with sexually assaulting when she was 15 in 2004 said she approached him at a rave he was hosting in Santa Clarita, California.

“I didn’t know who he was, but I just — everyone told me he was famous so I was excited to meet a celebrity,” said the woman, now 33, known as Jane Doe 5.

After they met, he invited her backstage, where he asked her if she wanted to see “something cool,” then lifted her in the air, put his hand under her skirt & molested her, she said.

Many women described Jeremy using the same methods in the same places.

Several women said Jeremy asked them to write a note about their experience on a napkin or scrap of paper in what prosecutors called an attempt to gain evidence of consent after the fact. The women, under duress & looking to get away, often complied.

Jeremy also gave some victims cash after the attacks for what prosecutors said were similar reasons.

“He just out of nowhere just tossed money at me,” said a woman who got a $100 bill from Jeremy after she said he raped her in 2019 in the Rainbow Bar & Grill’s bathroom.

Video After The Jump

(AP) Four people are dead including a mother still cradling her now-deceased baby after a massive gunfight early Sunday with a former Marine a Florida sheriff said was “ready for battle” & so aggressive he tried to wrestle a gun from police from his hospital gurney after being captured.

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said 33-year-old Bryan Riley appeared to be suffering from mental health issues & had been slowly unraveling for weeks, repeatedly telling his girlfriend that he could communicate directly with God.

After a gunfight with police & deputies — where dozens “if not hundreds of rounds” were exchanged outside a Lakeland home, Judd said, authorities found an 11-year-old girl shot multiple times, plus four deceased victims. They included a 33-year-old mother still holding her 3-month old baby boy & the infant’s 62-year-old grandmother who lived at a neighboring home & a 40-year-old man.

Riley, who served as a sharp shooter in both Iraq & Afghanistan, seemingly targeted the family at random, Judd said.

Preliminary evidence shows the 40-year-old Justice Gleason just happened to be an unlucky stranger out mowing his lawn Saturday night when Riley drove by, saying God told him to stop because Gleason’s daughter was going to commit suicide.

A second person came to confront Riley, telling him that story wasn’t true & warned they would call police if he didn’t leave, Judd said. Authorities responded to the scene but never found Riley.

About nine hours later, around 4:30 a.m., Riley returned to the home, laying out glowsticks to create a path leading to the house to draw officers “into an ambush,” Judd said.

By chance, a lieutenant far in the distance, heard popping noises & immediately put the agency on active-shooter mode, bringing all state & local law enforcement in the area to the scene.

Following the sounds of gunfire, authorities arrived at the home & found Riley’s white truck ablaze & an unarmed Riley outside, dressed in camouflage.

Riley immediately ran inside, where authorities heard another round of gunfire, “a woman scream & a baby whimper,” Judd said.

Officers tried to enter the front of the house, but it was barricaded. When they circled to the back, they encountered Riley, who appeared to have put on full body armor including head and knee coverings & a bulletproof vest.

Authorities exchanged heavy gunfire, before Riley retreated back into the home, according to the sheriff.

Everything fell silent, Judd said, until a helicopter unit alerted authorities on the ground that Riley was coming out. He had been shot once & was ready to surrender.

Meanwhile, officers heard cries for help inside the home, but were unsure whether there were additional shooters & feared the home was booby-trapped. A brave sergeant rushed in & grabbed an 11-year-old girl who had been shot at least seven times.

She told deputies there were three dead people inside, Judd said, adding that she was rushed into surgery & was expected to survive.

Deputies sent robots into the home to check for explosives & other traps. When it was clear, they found the unidentified mother & baby, Gleason & the family dog all dead from gunshot wounds. The baby’s grandmother was also found dead in a home out back. Authorities did not say if or how Gleason was related to the other people in the home.

“They begged for their lives & I killed them anyway,” Judd said Riley told them during an interrogation, adding Riley was playing mind games during the interviews with detectives.

Authorities declined to say how many times the victims had been shot or where they were in the home, but said they were all hiding & huddling in fear.

Authorities said Riley’s girlfriend of four years, who he also lived with, had been cooperative and was shocked, saying he was never violent but suffered from PTSD & had become increasingly erratic.

She said he’d spent the previous week on what he called a mission from God, stockpiling supplies that he said were for Hurricane Ida victims, including $1,000 worth of cigars.

“Prior to this morning, this guy was a war hero. He fought for his country in Afghanistan & Iraq,” said Judd. “And this morning he’s a cold-blooded killer.”

Riley, who had no criminal history, also told authorities he was on methamphetamines. His vehicle had also been stocked with supplies for a gunfight, authorities said, including bleeding control kits.

While being treated at the hospital, Riley jumped up & tried to grab an officer’s gun. “They had to fight with him again in the emergency room,” Grady said, before he was ultimately tied down & medicated.

He is expected to recover and will be transferred to jail to face charges.

“The big question that all of us has is, ‘Why?’” State Attorney Brian Haas said. “We will not know today or maybe ever.”

NEW YORK (AP) — Facebook has apologized for putting a “primates” label on a video of Black men, according to a report in the New York Times.

The newspaper said the video was posted by a tabloid in June and showed Black men in altercations with white civilians and police officers. After the video ended, an automatic message popped up that said “keep seeing videos about Primates,” according to the Times.

Facebook turned off the artificial intelligence feature that showed the message, the Times said, and apologized for what it called “an unacceptable error” and told the newspaper that it would investigate further so that it doesn’t happen again.

Facebook on Saturday did not respond to a request for comment from The Associated Press. But a company spokeswoman told the Times that even though Facebook has made improvements to its artificial intelligence, “it’s not perfect” and has “more progress to make.”

Artificial intelligence has mislabeled people of color before. In 2015, Google apologized after it labeled a photo of two Black people as gorillas.

Mally Mall got the judge's message loud & clear ... TMZ has learned he's already surrendered to the feds after his last-ditch effort to delay his prison sentence was shot down in court.

According to legal docs, obtained by TMZ, a judge said the hip-hop producer failed to articulate any reason why his health condition couldn't be adequately treated while he's behind bars.

The judge said Mally failed to show he couldn't get a CT scan or biopsy from the prison's Health Services Division. Remember, he says he discovered a mass on his thigh that could potentially be cancerous.

In her response to Mally's request to postpone, the judge said she wouldn't "entertain any further meritless delay tactics." Translation -- if ya need it, get it while you're doing time.

So, Mally turned himself in to the Federal Correctional Institution in Sheridan, Oregon. His release date is currently slated for December 15, 2023. Mally pled guilty in late 2019 to running an illegal prostitution service for more than 12 years.

The feds say he owned, operated & managed several of these sorts of businesses in Clark County, Nevada.

The producer's lawyer, Steve Sadow, tells TMZ ... "Mally Mall over the last several years had dedicated his life to music & helping people. He has fully recognized the error in his ways & has gone out of his way to try to make amends. He intends to take full advantage of each & every program offered by the Federal Bureau of Prisons."

A batch of fentanyl-laced cocaine killed a comedian and two others, and left the ex-girlfriend of Darius Rucker in a Los Angeles hospital, a report said.

Fuquan Johnson, writer for "Comedy Parlour Live," died after overdosing at a Venice home Friday night, according to TMZ. Two other victims were pronounced dead at the scene, the outlet said.

Comedian Kate Quigley, who lives next door to the house and recently dated the Hootie & the Blowfish singer, was hospitalized in critical condition, according to the report.

The medical examiner will officially determine what killed Johnson, 42, and the other unnamed victims, but sources tell the outlet all four people were ingesting coke tainted with the super powerful opioid.

Fentanyl, a synthetic painkiller that is up 100 times more potent than heroin, has been a factor in the deaths of Prince, Mac Miller and Tom Petty.

In 2019, fentanyl was involved in more than two-thirds of all New York City drug overdoses, data showed. Social media users have been warning of tainted coke making the rounds in the city’s party scene this spring and summer.

Video After The Jump

(NBC Miami) A South Florida ice cream shop owner is facing multiple charges including video voyeurism after authorities said he put a camera in the store's bathroom to film a 17-year-old employee.

Sergio Khorosh, 55, was arrested Thursday on charges of aggravated stalking, video voyeurism and impersonating a law enforcement officer, Broward County jail records showed.

Khorosh, the owner of "Moo Moo Scoops" in Coral Springs inside the Coral Square Mall, appeared in bond court Friday where Judge Tabitha Blackmon detailed the charges against him.

According to the judge, Khorosh filmed a 17-year-old employee in the shop's bathroom and then stalked her at her new job and at home.

An arrest report said the teen had found a black USB cellphone charger plugged into the wall and facing a toilet in the employee bathroom that had a camera in it.

According to the arrest report, Khorosh had hired the teen in July and would tell her how beautiful she was and at one point, kissed her forehead and told her he loved her.

After the teen told Khorosh she didn't want to work for him anymore, he sent her multiple text messages in which he professed his love for her, threatened her and showed photos of gifts he wanted to give her, the report said.

Khorosh also allegedly harassed the teen and her family, and at one point told her he was a deputy chief with the Broward Sheriff's Office and would lock her and her family up in jail, the report said.

He also claimed to have a K-9 that he would let "shred" her and her family, the report said.

Khorosh, who lives in Lighthouse Point, was given a $76,000 bond and ordered to stay away from the alleged victim. Blackmon appointed a public defender for him.
