GoFundMe is investigating a fundraiser set up by an Instagrammer who claims she was neurologically damaged by the Covid vaccine.
Dominique De Silva had managed to raise more than $17,500 of her $50k goal before the account was flagged & all contributors offered a refund.
The 23-year-old plucked heartstrings on July 17, when she posted a video of herself apparently suffering from dystonia, or involuntary muscle contractions:
"There are countless stories like mine," she wrote. "We trusted science & now live in a never ending nightmare."
Luckily, Dominique does appear to occasionally enjoy a reprieve from her symptoms... her Instagram page is filled with happy and carefree videos and photos — posted after she got the vaccine — such as her beautiful wedding day. Meanwhile she continues to document her ordeal on her blog.
While the majority of commenters send sympathies, condolences and prayers, not everyone was convinced her "condition" was vaccine related... or indeed even real.
"Can't believe people are falling for this," one top comment on TikTok read.
"But if you had underlying conditions... portraying yourself as a regular healthy person that got the vaccine is a lie," another insisted.
On Reddit, the commenters were even less merciful.
"Only side effect she's having from the vaccine is being a shitty actor," one wrote.
"She's channeling hard the Trump impersonation of the reporter with a disability," another jibed.
Real or not, GoFundMe told TooFab it was now investigating, having already taken down more than 250 fundraisers "attempting to promote misinformation related to vaccines."
"I can confirm that our Trust & Safety team is investigating and has reached out for more information," a spokesperson told TooFab. "If any donor would like to request a refund in the meantime, we will process it for them."
"Fundraisers raising money to promote misinformation about vaccines violate GoFundMe’s terms of service and will be removed from the platform. Over the last several years, we have removed over 250 fundraisers attempting to promote misinformation related to vaccines."
"It's important to know that the platform is backed by the GoFundMe Guarantee, which means funds are guaranteed to go to the right place or donors will get a refund."
As of Saturday morning, the GoFundMe was still active.
Kendrick Lamar has broken his silence and shared a new website for something mysterious called “Oklama.” The sparse website features a folder titled “nu thoughts,” leading to a written statement from the rapper announcing his next studio album, signed as “oklama.” He notably refers to it as his “final TDE album.” Find the full statement below:
I" spend most of my days with fleeting thoughts. Writing. Listening. And collecting old Beach cruisers. The morning rides keep me on a hill of silence.
I go months without a phone.
Love, loss, and grief have disturbed my comfort zone, but the glimmers of God speak through my music and family.
While the world around me evolves, I reflect on what matters the most. The life in which my words will land next.
As I produce my final TDE album, I feel joy to have been a part of such a cultural imprint after 17 years. The Struggles. The Success. And most importantly, the Brotherhood. May the Most High continue to use Top Dawg as a vessel for candid creators. As I continue to pursue my life’s calling.
There’s beauty in completion. And always faith in the unknown.
Thank you for keeping me in your thoughts. I’ve prayed for you all.
See you soon enough.
-oklama"
In response to Lamar’s note, Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith, CEO and founder of Top Dawg Entertainment, wrote, “With this being Dot’s last album on TDE, this is more of a VICTORY LAP, a celebration. I know he will be successful in whatever it is he decides to do and will have our FULL support.”

SHORELINE, Wash. – A Shoreline woman, who was charged for a hate crime in April, was in King County court again on Thursday for violating a no-contact order.
According to investigators, Jan Myers violated a no-contact order Wednesday evening when she allegedly yelled at her neighbor, who she is not allowed to have contact with, and then drove her car straight at her neighbor’s husband, who was standing on the sidewalk.
Under the protective order, Myers is required to stay no less than 300 feet from her neighbor, Thi Pham, and her family. The no-contact order is set to expire on Aug. 30.
A judge set Myers’ bail at $10,000.
On Tuesday, Pham filed a civil lawsuit against Myers, who is accused of hurling racial epithets and threatening Pham several times over the past few years because of Pham’s ethnicity.
Pham is seeking a minimum of $100,000 in civil damages from the ordeal with her neighbor, which has reportedly gone on for years.
Myers was charged with a single count of felony hate crime from an incident in April in which she reportedly used derogatory slurs and threatened to kill Pham.
Two weeks prior to the April incident, Pham recorded Myers, who was semi-naked from below the waist, raising her middle finger to Pham and her 2-year-old son.

MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) — A mother and her boyfriend are sitting in mobile metro jail tonight charged with the murder of 3-year-old investigators say the little boy suffered from severe head trauma and was in cardiac arrest when they arrived at his home last week.
NBC 15's Rachael Wilkerson obtained the police report.
The report states 3-year-old Tyren Edwards was found lying on his back unresponsive with his mother Tatyana kneeling next to him crying.
On August 8th Mobile Fire and Rescue and MPD responded to 250 3rd court in Orange Grove finding 3-year-old Tyren Edwards unconscious and not breathing in full cardiac arrest.
Paramedics tried to revive little Tyren as he was taken to USA Children's and Women's Hospital.
According to the police report, one of the paramedics noted the 3-year-old had bruises all over his body. Officers responded to the hospital to investigate potential child abuse.
3 days later, on August 11th Tyren passed away.
MPD says the autopsy report showed he suffered severe head trauma as well as other severe injuries and noted it appeared the child had been abused over some time.
26-year-old Tatyana Edwards turned herself into metro Friday she's charged with felony murder.
Investigators believe her boyfriend, 19-year-old Abraham Hatch caused Tyren's extensive injuries.
Sunday, Hatch turned himself in on capital murder charges.
The Mobile Housing board told me it's heartbroken by this tragedy.
The District Attorney's office says the bond hearing for both Edwards and Hatch is tomorrow.
WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. Air Force says its Office of Special Investigations is reviewing an incident at the Kabul airport Monday in which multiple people were killed when hundreds of Afghan civilians desperate to leave the country swarmed a C-17 cargo plane as it was attempting to take off.
The Air Force did not say how many people died. It said human remains were found in the plane’s wheel well after it landed at al-Udeid Air Base in the Gulf state of Qatar.
Videos of the incident, including images of people falling from the aircraft as it took off, were widely viewed on social media. The images captured the initial chaos of a U.S.-directed evacuation that followed the Taliban’s takeover of the country.
The Air Force said the C-17 Globemaster III had landed at Kabul airport to deliver equipment for the evacuation effort. Before the crew could offload the cargo, the aircraft was surrounded by hundreds of Afghan civilians who had breeched the security perimeter. Because the security situation was getting worse, the crew decided to take off.
Boxing's top star and Caleb Plant have agreed to terms for a November pay-per-view fight, sources told ESPN, that will be presented by PBC along with Canelo Promotions.
The deal ends weeks of stop-and-start negotiations between ESPN's No. 1 pound-for-pound boxer and PBC founder Al Haymon. Alvarez, who holds three 168-pound titles, and Plant, who owns the other belt, will battle to be crowned undisputed super middleweight champion.
The fight was originally being eyed for Sept. 18 in Las Vegas, but at the eleventh hour, the deal fell apart. Alvarez then entered talks for a light heavyweight title challenge of Dmitry Bivol, but before a deal could be completed, the Mexican great decided to delay his return until November so he could focus on a full training camp in San Diego.
Alvarez, 31, also wanted to focus on the man he wanted all along: Plant. More so than the man, really, is what Canelo wants to be: undisputed.
After Alvarez (56-1-2, 38 KOs) shattered Billy Joe Saunders' orbital bone in May, a ninth-round TKO to collect a third 168-pound title, he delivered a message to Plant: "I'm coming, my friend."
Plant (21-0, 12 KOs), ESPN's No. 3 boxer at 168 pounds, is the first Haymon champion to earn a crack at Alvarez, but he might not be the last. The deal between Canelo and PBC is for one fight, per sources, but there's reason to believe Alvarez will continue to face off against boxers from the stable. David Benavidez, ESPN's No. 2 super middleweight, is aligned with PBC, as is Jermall Charlo, the middleweight champion who plans to jump to 168 at some point.
