Yes, the Nuggets forward is taking steps toward matrimony.
Fiancee LaLa Vazquez, a television celebrity, said Wednesday on "The Wendy Williams Show" that she is planning to marry Melo this summer.
The two have been engaged for five years and have a 2-year-old son, Kiyan. Asked about possible nuptials, Anthony said, "We're working on it" and said a date has not yet been set.
Vazquez said on the show that plenty of people will be invited.
"Everybody has been waiting for it for so long, we might as well invite everybody to come hang out," Vazquez said.
People Magazine reported Vazquez also told Williams that celebrity wedding planner Mindy Weiss had been hired.
Anthony is the NBA's top scorer (29.8 points per game). Vazquez has appeared on numerous TV programs, including MTV's "Direct Effect" and "Total Request Live," and VH1's "Flavor of Love" and "Charm School."

Jay-Z has broken his silence over the recent disses from his former Roc-A-Fella Records artist Beanie Sigel, saying that the entire beef caught him off guard. During an interview with Ed Lover today (Wednesday January 13), Jigga explained his current thoughts on Sigel. "This rap music and the competitive by nature, nothing really surprises me anymore but I'll honestly say, that was one that was like a shocker," Hov also said. "When you from a certain place, cut from a certain cloth, there's certain things that's just off limits. When you cross that line, we put you in a different box. That one was a little surprising. The competitive nature of rap music dictates that's how it goes more times than it's not...I think everybody run outta ideas, it's all just marketing at this point. I don't even think it's competition anymore..."
Previously, Beanie Sigel released a Jay-Z dissed called "Average Cat" in which he warned Hov about exposing his habits to his wife, Beyonce. "This ain't a diss record, this a real record/How it feel to get exposed -- I was the fly on the wall, I witnessed," Beans raps. Jay-Z's new avant-garde video for "On To the Next One" — with images of ram skulls, black crows and a Joker-like clown — has some bloggers talking that Jay is dabbling in demonic imagery and Freemason symbolism. Hov thinks that's ridiculous.
"I got a lot of money," Hov told Power 105.1 radio host Ed Lover Wednesday. "When people get a lot of money, they start getting those rumors like Tom Cruise, Willie Smith. That's ridiculous."
Hov is also the subject of new independent street DVD which alleges he his "Hip-Hop's Master Mason," and the Blueprint pays homage to a secret society.
"That's crazy to me," Jay scoffed. "I gotta remind people I'm from Marcy Projects. I can't get into a golf club in Palm Springs."
Swizz Beatz also denied rumors that the "On To the Next One" clip promotes devil worship.
"I don't think about that. I know that's a billion percent not true. The video displays another level of art and creativity from two great minds: the director and Jay — and myself, bringing the collaboration together. It's no satanic ways around me and that's for sure," he explained. "I'm with Jay — I never see none of that stuff around him unless he's hiding something, which I doubt. C'mon man. That's silly stuff. That stuff you don't even comment on, we on to the next one."

You can connect anything if you try hard enough, and make it mean anything you want it to."

In the wake of Tuesday's devastating 7.0 earthquake in Haiti, artists like Haitian native Wyclef Jean have already put out the call for help. Now, here's your chance.
And while the full extent of the damage to the island and its people was unclear at press time, there's no doubt that it is catastrophic, and several charities are en route or already on the ground, providing assistance. According to Charity Navigator, an independent evaluator working to "advance a more efficient and responsive philanthropic marketplace," here are some of the very best organizations, all of which are in need of donations — and head over to Think.MTV.com for more information.

The American Red Cross has a full-time staff on the ground in Haiti, providing ongoing HIV/AIDS prevention and disaster preparedness programs, and has already pledged an initial $200,000 to assist communities impacted by the earthquake. They seek additional donations to continue providing food, water, temporary shelter, medical services and emotional support.
UNICEF saw its offices in Port-au-Prince suffer heavy damages in the earthquake, but is ready to provide relief, deploying "essential aid" — safe water, sanitation supplies, therapeutic foods, temporary shelter materials and medical supplies — to assist in recovery efforts.
Yele Haiti is Wyclef's own charitable organization, and has established an online donation site to help victims of the earthquake. Through his Twitter account, he's also asking his fans to lend a hand, by making a $5 donation by texting YELE to 501 501.
Direct Relief International is a U.S.-based organization that provides medical assistance to impoverished nations, and has committed up to $1 million to aid emergency response efforts. Already, they have sent two 40-by-20-foot containers packed with more than $420,000 of medicine, supplies and food to St. Damien Children's Hospital in Port-au-Prince.
World Vision has worked in Haiti for 30 years, and is seeking donations to provide victims with food, water, blankets and tents.
Operation USA already operates in Haiti, and is sending medical aid, water-purification supplies and food supplements to the nation.
Convoy of Hope has established a command center just outside of Port-au-Prince, and is distributing food, water and supplies to the victims of the earthquake.
Samaritan's Purse is a Christian organization that, for over 35 years, has provided assistance to victims of natural disaster, war, disease and famine. In Haiti, they are helping survivors with food, water and temporary shelter.

I think it's time somebody had that same talk with Katt Williams because his recent behavior really makes no sense at all.
According to TMZ, two arrest warrants have been issued for the troubled comedian stemming from an incident at an Atlanta hotel back in November 2009.
Katt allegedly assaulted Merion Powers during a dispute over a debt and the whole thing was caught on audio tape.
As the story goes, Merion sensing a beatdown was coming pressed the record button on his cell phone catching what I guess is a slap or light punch to his nose. Because according to the report there was no "signs of swelling" afterwards.

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti - Death was everywhere Wednesday in this devastated city of 2 million. Bodies of tiny children were piled next to schools. Corpses of women lay on the street with stunned expressions frozen on their faces as flies began to gather. Bodies of men were covered with plastic tarps or cotton sheets.
Moreover, untold numbers were still trapped after a powerful earthquake Tuesday crushed thousands of structures — from schools and shacks to the National Palace and the local U.N. headquarters.
As nations around the world mobilized to send help, Haitian Prime Minister Jean-Max Bellerive told Reuters that he believed the casualties would be "in the range of thousands of dead."
e are well over 100,000" dead, while Haitian Sen. Youri Latortue said it could be 500,000. Both admit they have no way of knowing. Other officials said it was too early to give an accounting of the toll.
Aid workers reported widespread destruction and suffering.
"It's the most horrific thing I've ever seen," Bob Poff, a Salvation Army worker in Port-au-Prince, told MSNBC. "We have to get food and water" quickly, he said, in describing conditions that range from stifling heat to numerous aftershocks. "We're trying to stay alive."
‘Please take me out’
Sobbing and dazed people wandered the streets of Port-au-Prince, and voices cried out from the rubble.
"Please take me out, I am dying. I have two children with me," a woman told a journalist from under a collapsed kindergarten.
The International Red Cross said some 3 million people may have been affected.
Haitian Red Cross spokesman Pericles Jean-Baptiste said his organization was overwhelmed. "There are too many people who need help ... We lack equipment, we lack body bags," he said Wednesday.
Doctors Without Borders said its three hospitals in Haiti were unusable and it was treating the injured at temporary shelters.
"The reality of what we are seeing is severe traumas, head wounds, crushed limbs, severe problems that cannot be dealt with the level of medical care we currently have available with no infrastructure really to support it," said Paul McPhun, an operations manager for the charity.
France's foreign minister said the head of the U.N. peacekeeping mission was apparently among the dead. Haiti's Radio Metropole also quoted the minister, Bernard Kouchner, as saying hundreds of French nationals were missing.
The Catholic archbishop of Port-au-Prince, Monsignor Joseph Serge Miot, was also killed.
According to the United Nations, the earthquake also collapsed the main prison in Haiti's capital, with reports of escaped inmates.
Radio Metropole reported that U.N. forces scrambled to protect U.N. weapons from looters ransacking the capital.
Bodies on the streets
Aftershocks rattled the city as women covered in dust clawed out of debris, wailing. Stunned people wandered the streets holding hands. Thousands gathered in public squares singing hymns.
People pulled bodies from collapsed homes, covering them with sheets by the side of the road. Passers-by lifted the sheets to see if a loved one was underneath. Outside a crumbled building the bodies of five children and three adults lay in a pile.
The United States and other nations began organizing aid efforts, alerting search teams and gathering supplies that will be badly needed in the Western Hemisphere's poorest country.
"Haiti has moved to center of the world's thoughts and the world's compassion," said British Prime Minister Gordon Brown.
The United Nations said Port-au-Prince's main airport was "fully operational" and open to relief flights.
Haitian President René Préval told the Miami Herald that he had been stepping over dead bodies and hearing the cries of those trapped under the rubble of the national Parliament building, describing the scene as "unimaginable."
"Parliament has collapsed. The tax office has collapsed. Schools have collapsed. Hospitals have collapsed,'' he said.
Préval issued an urgent appeal for aid.
Tens of thousands of people appear to have lost their homes and many perished in collapsed buildings that were flimsy and dangerous even under normal conditions.
Video obtained by the AP showed a huge dust cloud rising over Port-au-Prince shortly after the quake as buildings collapsed.
"The hospitals cannot handle all these victims," Dr. Louis-Gerard Gilles, a former senator, said as he helped survivors. "Haiti needs to pray. We all need to pray together."

For the second consecutive year, Beyoncé and Jay-Z have been named Forbes’ top-earning couple in entertainment. The duo combined to earn $122 million between July 2008 and July 2009, beating out Hollywood power pairs like Brangelina, the Beckhams and TomKat. While Jigga carried the financial weight in their relationship by a narrow margin on the Forbes’ inaugural list last year, Beyoncé easily out-earned her husband this time around, grossing $87 million to Jay-Z’s $35 million. On last year’s list, when Jay-Z’s 360 deal with Live Nation was factored in, the pair earned $162 million, with Jay pulling in $82 million.

Anthony Gonzalez, former manager of the rap duo Clipse, was sentenced Monday to 32 years in prison after admitting his role as the leader of a $20 million drug ring .
Gonzalez, who goes by “Tony” or “Geezy,” received the minimum sentence under federal guidelines, based in part on his cooperation with the government, a relatively minor criminal record and a swell of family and community support.
Gonzalez, 34, admitted running the organization chiefly from the Virginia Beach nightclub Encore Lounge, now closed. The ring has been linked to one-time Olympic gold medalist Tim Montgomery, as well as former Bloods gang leader Marlon Reed.
Gonzalez apologized before he was led away.

“I just want to say that I’m sorry to my family and I’m sorry to the community,” he told U.S. District Judge Jerome B. Friedman.
Prosecutors said that in a five-year period, Gonzalez was responsible for distributing more than a half-ton of cocaine, a ton of marijuana and hundreds of pounds of heroin throughout the region. Authorities initially had estimated Gonzalez’s drug operation as having a gross worth of $10 million but now say that figure should be doubled.
“These are obviously staggering amounts of drugs,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Darryl Mitchell told the judge. “One can only imagine what that’s done to the community.”
Gonzalez made millions from his drug enterprise, according to court records, but now has a “negative net worth,” according to the judge, who didn’t impose a fine.
But Gonzalez lived large while he was free, staying at five-star resorts and buying luxury cars and homes.
His attorney, Lawrence H. Woodward Jr., described Gonzalez as an intelligent individual who could have been successful without dealing drugs.
“It’s always puzzling and sad when someone with that ability doesn’t use it for constructive purposes,” Woodward said.
He added that Gonzalez knew before his arrest that one day soon he’d end up dead or in prison. He was living “a bad dream that he couldn’t find a way out of,” Woodward said.
The judge even seemed puzzled by Gonzalez’s recklessness.
“It’s hard for me to imagine it’s the same person,” Friedman said, comparing Gonzalez’s background and letters of support with his drug activities.
About 40 supporters packed the courtroom.
“We love you,” some shouted as Gonzalez was led away in handcuffs.
Gonzalez could in the future get his sentence reduced based on his cooperation

In the wake of the Tuesday's devastating 7.0 earthquake in Haiti, singer Wyclef Jean has issued an urgent plea for help for his struggling homeland.
"Haiti today faced a natural disaster of unprecedented proportion, an earthquake unlike anything the country has ever experienced," Jean wrote on his Web site of the island nation, which is one of the most impoverished countries in the Western Hemisphere.
The massive earthquake, the largest the Caribbean island has seen in more than 200 years, struck around 4:50 p.m. on Tuesday. The epicenter was around 10 miles from the capital of Port-au-Prince, which according to reports was largely destroyed by the initial quake and a series of aftershocks. While damage and casualty figures were not available at press time, they are expected to be high due to the poor construction of many of the island's buildings.
"I cannot stress enough what a human disaster this is, and idle hands will only make this tragedy worse," Wyclef continued. "The over 2 million people in Port-au-Prince tonight face catastrophe alone. We must act now. President Obama has already said that the U.S. stands 'ready to assist' the Haitian people. The U.S. military is the only group trained and prepared to offer that assistance immediately. They must do so as soon as possible. The international community must also rise to the occasion and help the Haitian people in every way possible."
Jean established the non-profit Yele Haiti Foundation in 2004 to provide scholarships for the country's children, and he has worked with the United Nations World Food Programme to send food assistance to the island. He is encouraging people to text "Yele" to 501501, which will automatically donate $5 to the Yele Haiti Earthquake Fund or visit Yele.org and click "donate" to help the island's people.
Speaking to CNN's Anderson Cooper on Tuesday night, Wyclef said he was talking to a friend on the phone in Haiti when she said, "I think an earthquake is coming," and the call was dropped. More than 45 minutes later, he got a return text from that friend, who said the buildings were collapsing all around her. He said he was also looking for information on a rapper named Jimmy O, who is a part of the Yele organization, and who is believed to have died in the quake.
The earthquake is the latest disaster to strike the island nation, which has endured decades of economic instability, poverty, the reigns of several vicious dictators and a string of hurricanes and other natural disasters that have kept it in need of massive amounts of world aid. Jean urged his fellow 4 million Haitians in the diaspora to step up and help their countrymen. "My urgency right now is really a cry of freedom saying we really need a state of emergency right now."
According to reports, the presidential palace and other major buildings in the capital city were destroyed in the quake. Chaos reigned as night fell on Tuesday, and trapped victims screamed for help from the rubble. With no electricity, phone lines down and the airport closed, getting much-needed aid to the people became a priority for the international community, which was scrambling to fly in supplies.
President Obama told members of his national security staff late Tuesday that he expects, "an aggressive, coordinated effort" to help Haiti, according to The Associated Press. The president said teams from the Defense, State and Homeland Security departments had deployed on Wednesday (January 13) to start helping victims.
Former President Bill Clinton, a U.N. special envoy for Haiti, said in a statement: "My thoughts and prayers are with the people of Haiti. My U.N. office and the rest of the U.N. system are monitoring the situation, and we are committed to do whatever we can to assist the people of Haiti in their relief, rebuilding and recovery efforts."

This is not surprising, but we thought we'd let you know anyway: Dr. Dre's long-delayed Detox album isn't dropping this year.
The good doctor has been teasing fans nearly every year by saying the mythical album was close to being finished, only to let them down. With nearly 10 years in the can for the project, it still has no release date in sight.
During recent interview for SLAM magazine, Dre was asked about Detox, to which he replied: "Well, I'm working on it, but also I've been working on other people's projects; you'll probably hear something in a year or so."
So, does this mean 2011 now? Damn!! We won't hold our breath.
Dre is always asked what the status of Detox is. Back in November, while appearing for an in-store media conference in support of his Beats By Dre headphones, he explains why all the delays saying he has to feel "right" about it before he'll let the public hear it.
"You know what, I'm working hard on it man," he promised during the in-store. "I'm going and I'm stopping, I'm working with other artists in-between and what have you, but I'm working hard on it and the minute it's done and I feel it right here [in my chest] and it feels right to me, that's when it'll come out. And you know, hopefully at the beginning of the year."

Producer Shawty Redd, who is charged with the New Year's Day murder of 35-year-old Damon Martin, was released from jail on Tuesday (January 12), according to Captain Jason Bolton of the Henry County (Georgia) Police and a representative for the Henry County Superior Court Clerk. The producer (real name: Demetrius Lee Stewart), who has worked with Snoop Dogg and Young Jeezy, had his bail set at $200,000 at a hearing on Tuesday afternoon, the authorities said, and was given clear instructions not to leave Henry County and to wear an ankle bracelet.
Redd has a preliminary hearing tentatively set for February 3. At press time, his attorney, Marcia Fuller, had not responded to MTV News' requests for comment.
Redd was arrested on January 1 after police responded to a call about an early morning shooting at Stewart's home in Hampton, Georgia. According to police, the producer was involved in a physical altercation at his home with Martin, who was described as an "acquaintance." The confrontation turned physical and Stewart shot and killed Martin, according to the report. Bolton told MTV News that Stewart himself called 911 to alert police about the shooting. Bolton also said Stewart was arrested a few hours later at police headquarters after more questioning by detectives.
Stewart appeared in court on Saturday without his attorney, and was granted another hearing to allow him legal representation. He remained in custody until Tuesday afternoon.
"I really couldn't believe it," one of Redd's peers, producer Zaytoven, told MTV News last week. "You hear a lot of rappers going through that type of trouble, but a producer? That's my first time hearing that. I was just shocked.

Capone-N-Noreaga are getting back to the grimy hip-hop of their 1997 classic, The War Report, on their upcoming new album, N.O.R.E. promised.
"We had the idea for the War Report [sequel]," Nore said via phone from Miami last week. "We was actually calling it Report the War. We was gonna do all the songs [from The War Report] in a backwards order. Like call a song 'Money Blood' instead of 'Bloody Money.' Instead of 'Illegal Life,' we would do 'Life Illegal,' so on and so forth. It was gonna be everything but backwards. Then what happened was, as we started to record for The War Report 2, I didn't want to force it. I didn't want to force calling a record 'Money Blood' if it wasn't that. The sh-- started flowing. You don't go to the ocean and say, 'The waves is flowing this way, but I wanna try to force the waves to go this way.' You don't do that. So the way we was recording it, I was like, 'I can't mess with Mother Nature.' It's flowing perfectly. We went and got Imam Thug, a person from the original. We got Mussolini. Tragedy [Khadafi] is on the album. As you know, he's incarcerated. But we got a couple of verses, and he'll appear on the skits. Then we gonna get some new features. I ain't gonna say who, 'cause it should be a surprise."
Definitely expect Busta Rhymes, who is executive-producing the album (tentatively due April 20), as well as Raekwon, who's helping the Queens duo put out the project in partnership with his Ice H20 imprint.
"It was crazy, because I had a deal with the company [Raekwon is] dealing with," Nore said of EMI. "The crazy thing is, he heard about it. His brother K, Kareem, reached out to me and said, 'Why don't we do it as a team?' I was with it. But I said, 'If we gonna do it like that, we might as well bring it back full-circle, C-N-N. Not a Nore solo.' So right now, I'm not even recording Nore records. I got some big-time producers calling with beats, and I tell them, 'Not right now. I'm chilling.' I don't want to record a party record. I don't even want to be near a party. That's not what C-N-N represented. It represented the gutter. If the records could be played in a party, then good. But big-up Rae and the whole Ice Water. Mel, K, everybody. We gonna execute the plan."
Rae also appears on the track "Dutch Masters vs. Phillies," a debate over cigar brands. "I'm a Phillie guy; Rae is a Phillie guy too," Nore said. "I can't believe he was repping Dutch Masters.
"Rae set the platform for everybody to go back in and do their art," Nore continued, referencing the success of Only Built 4 Cuban Linx ... Pt. II. "Busta is going back in and doing his E.L.E. [2]. One of the most feared Mexican drug lords - a man who dissolved more than 300 people in acid and signed his name with headless corpses - was nabbed Tuesday.
It was a huge win for the often-overmatched Tijuana cops warring with the increasingly savage cartels. Teodoro (El Teo) Garcia Simental was arrested in La Paz, officials said.
Details were not immediately available. Garcia is blamed for much of the border bloodshed and had a $2.1 million price on his head.
Authorities say he runs a massive kidnapping ring, holding victims in cages, and is behind an explosion of violence that has littered Tijuana with an average of five bodies a day.
Last week, a kidnap victim was found with his face sliced off and stitched onto a football, with a note directed at police saying, "Happy New Year, because it will be your last."
Last January, Santiago Meza, known as Garcia's "stew maker," was arrested and told reporters he was paid $600 a week to dissolve corpses - at least 300 over 10 years.
The Los Angeles Times, which closely follows the border drug wars, reported that Garcia often left the disintegrated remains in barrels on busy streets with messages threatening to turn his rivals into pozole, a thick Mexican soup.
He is a mystery man. His birth date is unknown - he is in his 30s - and only one photo of him has ever been published. He started out as an enforcer in the Arellano Felix cartel and grew powerful by turning the kidnapping of doctors, politicians and businessmen into a multimillion-dollar industry, the LA Times reported.
He split dramatically with the cartel in 2008 - a shootout on a Tijuana expressway left 14 dead.
Since then, his reign of terror has included slicing off the face of one victim, hanging others from highway overpasses and Many of the bodies carry messages boasting they are Garcia's work.
The Mexican gangs are the major supplier of marijuana, methamphetamine, cocaine and heroine to the United States.
Mexican President Felipe Calderon launched his offensive against the cartels in December 2006, which escalated into the increasingly gruesome war.
More than 15,000 people have been killed and many of the victims were tortured or mutilated to send a message to police and rival gangs.
Police have been killed, and their families murdered.
In October 2008, the corpses of three decapitated police officers were arranged along with six other headless bodies to spell "3 L" - Garcia's nickname: "Tres Letras."
Garcia's arrest is the second major victory for the government in a month. Drug lord Arturo Beltran Leyva died in a military shootout in December.

She’s already performed for the Queen of England, and now Lady Gaga will visit with the Queen of Daytime, Oprah Winfrey.
The pop star, who is currently on tour, is scheduled to perform and sit down for an interview with the talk-show host for the first time on Friday’s live episode of “The Oprah Winfrey Show.”
Later this month, Gaga will shoot a video for “Telephone,” her new single from The Fame Monster featuring Beyoncé. She is also set to take the stage at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards, where she is up for five trophies.
