12348751279?profile=original50 Cent has made so many shrewd business moves throughout his career, some tend to get overlooked.

Vibe magazine writer Chris Yuscavage put together a list of 50's "10 Smartest Business Decisions"

Let's take a look at how the G-Unit General has gotten filthy rich.

12348751089?profile=original
50 Cent Business Decision 1

The Decision: Spending the first $300,000 he made to trademark the "50 Cent" and "G-Unit" names

The Year: 2002

The Bottom Line: Just about every dime 50's made can be traced back to this decision. While most artists spend their advance on new cars, icy chains and the latest threads, Fif used part of his to trademark his name and his future label's name, which eventually helped him make money to buy all the cars, chains and clothes he could have ever imagined. New artists, take note: Before you do anything else, invest in yourself.

12348751882?profile=original
50 Cent Business Decision 2

The Decision: Starting G-Unit Records shortly after releasing his debut album, Get Rich or Die Tryin'

The Year: 2003

The Bottom Line: Thanks to the immense popularity that he enjoyed at the beginning of his career, 50 didn't have to wait to drop a few albums before Interscope gave him the chance to start his own label. And once they gave him the green light, he used it immediately—releasing a G-Unit album as well as albums from Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo and The Game. That means Fif was filthy rich before his sophomore album, The Massacre, ever even dropped.

12348752491?profile=original50 Cent Business Decision 3

The Decision: Teaming up with Mark Ecko to found the G-Unit Clothing Company

The Year: 2003

The Bottom Line: Once his music took off and his label was established, 50 immediately started using the G-Unit name to build a brand. That's when he flipped a deal to start a clothing company that—unlike other rapper-endorsed clothing companies—was tied to an established name thanks to Mark Ecko's involvement. Had he done the label without Ecko's backing, it probably wouldn't have been anywhere near as successful or profitable as it ended up being.

12348753096?profile=original
50 Cent Business Decision 4

The Decision: Signing a five-year deal with Reebok to create and distribute G-Unit Sneakers

The Year: 2003

The Bottom Line: Sure, Jay-Z had a deal with Reebok first. But regardless of how it actually went down, Fif signed a better sneaker deal than most NBA players get off the strength of just one album. Ballin'!

12348752692?profile=original
50 Cent Business Decision 5

The Decision: Agreeing to help peddle Vitaminwater for a company called Glaceau in exchange for part-ownership of it.

The Year: 2004

The Bottom Line: You want to talk about forward-thinking? The deal 50 struck with Vitaminwater is, quite possibly, the best deal any rapper has ever struck with a company. Back when he agreed to help push it in '04, no one could have possibly known that he'd one day sell his stake in it for $100 million (after taxes!) when Coa-Cola bought Vitaminwater for $4.1 billion. Except for Fif, of course. These are the deals that business honchos, not rappers, dream about—and 50 made it happen.

12348753299?profile=original50 Cent Business Decision 6

The Decision: Eschewing the opportunity to do the voice of the lead character in the Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas video game to instead provide the voice for his own character in the game, 50 Cent: Bulletproof

The Year: 2005

The Bottom Line: 50 could have very easily signed on to voice the GTA character and got a nice little check for his time. But instead of doing that, he turned down the GTA gig and lent his entire name to a project and walked out with way more zeros on the end of his check. Sorry, GTA, but that is what we call highway robbery.

12348754479?profile=original
50 Cent Business Decision 7

The Decision: Launching his G-Unit Books imprint at the Time Warner Building in New York City

The Year: 2007

The Bottom Line: After seeing the success that his autobiography, From Pieces To Weight: Once Upon a Time in Southside, Queens, enjoyed, Fif decided he could probably flip books into paper. And that's exactly what he did when he took his G-Unit brand into the publishing world and put out a series of street-lit novels. Could a book about doing good business be too far off in the future?

12348754868?profile=original
50 Cent Business Decision 8

The Decision: Partnering with billionaire Patrice Motsepe in South Africa to brand his own line of platinum

The Year: 2008

The Bottom Line: Fif's bought his fair share of platinum chains over the years. But he went from rich to wealthy when he decided to partner up with Motsepe to buy a platinum mine for a different reason: to brand his own line of it. We're not sure how much dough he's actually seen off this decision, but still, it sounds like something you'd want to have on your resume if you're a rapper, right? Bling blaow!

12348755086?profile=original
50 Cent Business Decision 9

The Decision: Striking a deal with Right Guard to release his own "Pure 50" body spray

The Year: 2008

The Bottom Line: Don't sleep on body spray. From Axe to TAG, there's a big market for it out there. Especially from tweens and young adults looking to avoid paying top-dollar for actual cologne (but don't worry: Fif's got that, too!). So this is what money smells like, huh?

12348755280?profile=original
50 Cent Business Decision 10

The Decision: Establishing his own film company called Cheetah Vision and later landing more than $200 million in funding for it

The Year: 2008

The Bottom Line: 50 invested well at the start of his Hollywood career by starting G-Unit Films and later Cheetah Vision and he's reaped the financial rewards as a result of it. And it's definitely been another great look for him

So there you have it, 10 business moves that prove that when it comes to making business decisions, 50 Cent is a genius.

12348750256?profile=originalChris Brown is stepping his rap game up as evidenced by the "Green Goblin" track where he goes toe to toe with Jae Millz. Still, not everybody is quite ready to let him spit with the big dogs.

Take his recent collaboration with Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes "Look At Me Now" for instance. Weezy was feeling the track so much he wanted it for his upcoming 'Carter IV' album, but he wasn't about to let Chris rap on the album according to Rolling Stone via  Rap-Up.

He ain’t sound bad. He’s spitting. But come on, man! Do you know how many rappers would be like, ‘I can’t get on Tha Carter IV, but this ni**a put Chris Brown on that bitch? Rapping?” Wayne said. “You can’t take a ni**a’s song and take him off of it. That’s saying a whole lot. That’s like telling him, ‘I think this shit is hotter without you,’” I would feel played if a ni**a did me that way.

So instead of a C4 track "Look At Me Now" is the latest single from Breezy's upcoming "F.A.M.E." album.

Videos After The Jump

"I called my husband and I said, 'Daddy they got me on youtube!'" Cathy Cruz Marrero aka "Fountain Girl"

A Pennsylvania woman who fell face first into a mall fountain because she was texting while walking wants to sue.

Cathy Cruz Romero has been laughed at now by an estimated 2 million people, who have seen the youtube video of her falling into the fountain at Berkshire Mall in Wyomissing, PA.

She's upset and wants someone to pay for her embarrassment.

"My issue is I don't think security was professional because they didn't send anyone to check on me until 20 minutes later and I had already left." she told The Reading Eagle. "Instead of laughing, they should have said, 'Is she OK?' and been down there right away to check on me."

12348748481?profile=original
In the video people can be heard laughing while narrating Romero's tumble. It's her assumption that it is mall security laughing at her expense.

"My boot hit the edge of the fountain and I fell over," she explained to WFMZ. "The next thing you know I'm seeing pennies and coins in front of my face. I [later] get called stating that I'm on youtube, and I'm like, 'Are you kidding me?' and my nephew is like, 'No you're on youtube.' I started crying and I called my husband, I call him daddy... I said 'Daddy they got me on youtube!' When I went to work and saw how they laughed and the comments that they made, I didn't think that was funny."

Her attorney, James M. Polyak said he plans to launch an investigation into what happened and how the mall security footage found it's way to youtube.

"We are troubled by the fact that anyone at the Berkshire Mall responsible for releasing this video would find humor in an employee injured on the premises," Polyak said. "We intend to hold the appropriate persons responsible."

What most people probably won't ever understand is why Marrero came forward in the first place. Her face is blurred in the video, it's highly unlikely anybody would ever known it was her.

Instead she's doing tv interviews, appearing on Good Morning America, etc. She has a simple answer for that.

"But I know it's me," she said.

Yep, and now the whole world knows it's you as well.

12348747271?profile=originalWill Smith is looking into remaking the popular 1982 musical "Annie", with his daughter Willow cast in the lead role.

Variety is reporting that Sony and Will's Overbrook Entertainment production company would back the project.

Sony is said to be especially interested because it did very well financially on the "Karate Kid" remake, which starred Will's son, Jaden. The film has grossed $350 million worldwide to date.

Jay-Z reportedly is in talks to work on music for the film.

Hov's addition would be very interesting considering one of his biggest hits "Hard Knock Life (Ghetto Anthem)" sampled the song "Hard Knock Life" from the original movie.

Reps for the project have not revealed whether or not the remake will include all new songs, or also have some from the original.

12348746472?profile=originalLil Jon is looking at a huge IRS debt according to the  Detroit News.

The 39-year old, born Jonathan Smith is said to owe the government at least half a million in unpaid federal taxes.

The government is already taking aggressive action to collect the money. In 2008 the IRS filed a $638,937 lien against his $1.9 million dollar Isle Of Palms, SC crib.

The house has since been foreclosed on.

The producer/rapper hasn't had a hit in a minute, but here's hoping he can get himself out of this current tax mess.

Actress Cameron Diaz stopped by Lopez Tonight yesterday and reminisced about her high school days in Long Beach, California.

The 38-year old Cuban stunner revealed she bought weed from Snoop Dogg when they were in high school together.

"Me and Snoop went to high school together... I remember him there. He was very tall and skinny and wore lots of pony tails in his head, and I'm pretty sure I bought weed from him." Diaz said.

Cameron's name is supposedly one of the most dangerous names to Google. According to Cameron, if you Google her name there is a 1 in 10 chance someone will steal your identity. (Don't say you weren't warned)

She and George talked about her new movie 'The Green Hornet' with Seth Rogan.  She explains why the scent of skunk was always in the air when Seth was around.

Cameron then kicks off her heels, and helps George break sh*t by knocking golf balls around the studio.

What does a good business person do when they take a loss? They regroup, strategize and come back with a new plan to get paper.

That's exactly what Deb Antney of Mizay Entertainment Group has done.

Antney was Nicki Minaj's manager until the Young Money rapper decided to look elsewhere. So Mizay, who also manages Gucci Mane, French Montana and her son Waka Flocka has come back with the all female trio out of St Louis, June 5th.

Group members Tiffany Fox, Scar Ladon, and Brooke Holladay feel like they have something special to offer.

"When we first came together we met because we were all in the business," member Tiffany Fox told Boombox. "Through conversation we realized a void in the industry for female rappers and decided to do something about it. So we joined forces on June 5th and became the group June 5th."

Their press release read in part:

In this era where females are fighting their way into the male dominated world of rap. June 5th is an exception; composed of three members, Tiffany Foxx, Brooke Holladay and Scar LaDon.
June 5th has the ideal components that have allotted them into the rap industry by means of no tribulations. Each lady has her own flare that sets her apart as an individual yet allows her to gel as a member of this dynamic group.  Although the members of June 5th are establishing themselves as a force to be wrecked with, these beautiful ladies make it a priority to not take themselves too seriously as they make their way to the top.  Currently under the direction of Debra Antney, the CEO of Mizay Entertainment, the ladies of June 5th are prone for enormous success!

12348744094?profile=original
The trio's new music video "Dollaz" features cameos from Waka Flocka, Wooh Da Kid & Frenchie of 1017 Brick Squad.

"Being in St. Louis we have seen artist break on a major level," states Brooke Holladay. "So we know that it takes hard work and strong drive, which we all have."

So what do yall think? Does June 5th have what it takes to make moves in the very open field of female hip hop?

12348739272?profile=originalNicki Minaj made sure there would be a throng of fans waiting for her when she arrived in London this morning (January 19). The Young Money artist tweeted the details of her arrival in plenty of time for her fans to get there.

Nicki is in the UK to promote her 'Pink Friday' album.

So far the album has risen no higher that #34 on the UK charts and currently sits at # 55, which is still very good for her debut disc, but the Harajuku Barbie hopes to push the record further during her stay.

There's talk of a possible collaboration between Nicki and British pop star Jessie J.

Jessie told Rap-Up she would like to get do a remix with the pink princess.

I’d love to have her on my ‘Do It Like a Dude’ [remix] for the U.S., but I like to let things happen organically. I think if she likes it, it’ll happen.”

That would probably be a good look for Nikki because the song is # 2 on the charts in the UK currently.

More Pics After The Jump

Nadya Suleman, better known as the Octomom has been photographed in the most bizarre shoot I've ever seen.

Dressed in a skin tight black corset, Suleman is seen whipping and bottle feeding a grown ass man wearing a diaper, baby bonnet and a bib.

The clown in the photos is a Los Angeles radio personality named Tattoo.

One would wonder how Suleman was convinced to do this outrageous shoot at her La Habra, Ca home. But then again she's got 14 kids to feed and her crib was close to being foreclosed on a couple weeks ago.

Suleman has been offered a job in porn by Vivid Entertainment Boss Steven Hirsch, but she's turned him down.

What's more degrading though, this or porn?

Fox News 411 Spoke To Orange County Social Services Agency Spokesperson Terry Lynn Fisher today them possibly investigating Suleman because of the pics.

Allegations of abuse or neglect must rise to the legal level and descriptions of abuse or neglect,” Fisher told FOX411.com. “Having said that, all of our social workers take all child abuse reports very seriously and they respond appropriately within the parameters of the law.

Sounds like Octomom might have gotten herself in trouble, but there weren't any kids around so it's doubtful her kids can be taken away.

12348757456?profile=originalIt seems Ricky Romance and his brother Raz B are not being greeted with open arms by everyone.

You may remember Romance for threatening to put his pistol in Cnris Brown's mouth a couple weeks ago.

TMZ is reporting that Romance was roughed up by Young Joc's security team last night at Atlanta's Salute The DJ's Awards show.

Romance was reportedly coming to the aid of Raz, who was being blocked from getting to the stage by Young Joc's people.

The origin of the beef has something to do with a diss song by Romance, that mentions Young Joc.

Both Raz and Romance were eventually thrown out of the Atrium Event Center.

Nobody was arrested and from the looks of it, Romance is doing ok.

12348756662?profile=originalThe Michigan Supreme Court will hear arguments today in a lawsuit by former police official turned Detroit Councilman, Gary Brown.

Brown alleges he and others were videotaped illegally at the Detroit stop of the 'Up In Smoke Tour' in 2000 that featured Dr Dre, Eminem, Ice Cube and Snoop Dogg.

Brown threatened to have the power turned off at Joe Louis Arena if a sexually explicit video was shown.

The argument was filmed and shown on the 'Up In Smoke Tour' DVD.

Brown is suing Dr Dre alleging his privacy was violated.

Dr Dre's attorney Herschel Fink says there's no privacy when police are doing their job.

Dre won't attend today's hearing.

12348756265?profile=originalIn the new issue of Rolling Stone — on stands and online in the digital archives on January 21st (subscription required) — Lil Wayne opens up for the first time about his time in prison. (See video from his cover shoot below.) During his eight month stint in Building C-76, cell 23 at Rikers Island, Weezy worked as an SPA (suicide prevention aide), listened to a lot of music on the radio (oldies and Hot 97) and played countless games of Uno with his cellmates in the Protective Custody division.

"I'd bust a nigga's ass at Uno," he told writer Josh Eells. "We gamble for phone time. I'd take nigga's commissary: Lemme get them cookies, lemme get them chips, get that soup."

Eventually his cellmates stopped inviting him to games. "They'd be like, 'Oh, we thought you were asleep,'" Wayne says. "Like you can't look inside my cell and see that I'm right there! We ain't got no doors!"

Other highlights from the piece:

- When Wayne sat court-side at a recent Miami Heat/New Orleans Hornets game he was upset that Lebron James and Dwayne Wade never came over to talk to him. "Them niggas never speak to a nigga," he says. "They don't chuck me the deuce or nothing. Nigga spent all that money on them fucking tickets ... Come holla at me. We sit right by them little bitch-ass niggas. At least come ask me why I'm not rooting for you."

- In prison he read biographies of Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Marvin Gaye, Joan Jett, Vince Lombardi and Anthony Kiedis. "[Kiedis'] Scar Tissue was really good," he says. "I also read the Bible for the first time. It was deep! I liked the parts where some character was once this, but he ended up being that. Like he'd be dissing Jesus, and then he ends up being a saint. That was cool."

- He spent his final month in jail in solitary after he was caught with an iPod charger in his cell. It could have been worse: He also had a watch with an MP3 player on it, but another inmate took the rap. "He was a solid nigga," says Wayne. "Shout-out to Charles...Solitary was the worst. No TV. No radio. No commissary. Basically you're in there 23 hours a day." The only upside was he had a window where he could watch cars go by. "I used to sit at that motherfucker all day," he says.

Video After The Jump

What started out as a press conference to introduce new head coach Hue Jackson, turned into a bizarre mud slinging with hints of a sex scandal.

Oakland Raiders boss Al Davis has always been known as a maverick, he's moved his team from Oakland to Los Angeles then back again and fired a boatload of coaches.

Throughout it all Davis has managed to keep a firm grip on the team.

During the press conference yesterday, Davis let himself get off track by beginning to speak about issues he says led to the firing of coach Tom Cable after this seasons 8-8 record.

Davis said Cable was a wife beater, talked about the 2009 incident where Cable allegedly broke assistant coach Randy Hanson's jaw and hinted Cable was bringing freaks on the road with him when the Raiders traveled.

"He knew I could throw him out without any money," Davis said of ending Cable. "There's no way he can come clean on this. He knows what he did."

When asked why he didn't just fire cable during the season if he was causing all these problems Davis said: "We had a shot with five games to go to get in the playoffs. There's no telling how far we could have gone. "... With five games to go, we messed it up. Not necessarily on offense. We didn't play well enough on defense."

And then there is Davis' health. He looked like a very sick man sitting on stage. It's probably time for him to hang it up.

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean your friend/business partner isn't looking to cut you out of the mix, or a piece of that Roc-A-Fella pie.

In part 10 of Choke No Joke's web series "The Last Days Of The Roc", Dame Dash gets his first inkling that maybe things between him and partner Jay-Z aren't exactly cool.

Hov called a marketing meeting with Def Jam without informing anyone at Roc-A-Fella. When Dame finds out he storms over to the Def Jam offices and goes ballistic.

He curses out Def Jam CEO Lyor Cohen, Vice President Kevin Liles and Randy Acker.

Tired of listening to Dame rant, Liles tells him. "Just go handle your business n*gga." In other words you're barking up the wrong tree.

But Dame is either too angry to think clearly, or too arrogant to understand what was really going on. He was wilding out yelling at everyone over at Def Jam, when the person he should have been talking to was Jay-Z, who initiated the meeting in the first place.

Of course we all know how the story ends. Hov takes the Roc from his two former partners, Dame and Kareem "Biggs" Burke and sets up shop at Def Jam as President and CEO.

Did Jay do Dame dirty? Should Dame have seen it coming?  Or was it just business? That's a subject that will be discussed forever.

12348745694?profile=originalYou gotta bet big to win big and vice versa.

Gucci Mane's bank account is $20,000 lighter today after losing a bet over the weekend.

The rapper said via  Twitter that he would bet anyone 20K, that wanted to take the Green Bay Packers vs his Atlanta Falcons.

"i got 20k on them dirty birds any body want this bet who like green bay. straight up who want the bet," Gucci tweeted Friday (January 15).

It wasn't long before Gucci came back and said that Cash Money CEO Birdman had taken him up on his offer.

12348745878?profile=original
"Stunna took the bet my boy we bet everyweek and get it how we live follow my brother @BIRDMAN5STAR," Gucci tweeted.

Birdman is no stranger to big bets. He claimed to have bet $4million dollars on Floyd Mayweather Jr against Sugar Shane Mosley last May.

And just like he did with Mayweather, Stunna won with the Pack as they manhandled the Dirty Birds 48-21 on Saturday (January 16).

Neither Birdman or Gucci have tweeted since the 15th, but it's highly unlikely Stunna would rub it in publicly. And it's also doubtful Gucci would brag about losing 20 G's

The tour by all accounts has been a mess, plagued by late starts due to Hill hitting the stage whenever she feels like it.  Sometimes an hour or two later than scheduled.

Reports that have come in from her show Friday (January 15) at Atlanta's Center Stage paint a picture of a diva that has lost touch with her fans.

According to SandraRose.com, Hill was supposed to hit the stage by 9pm, but the singer didn't appear until midnight. At which time she tells the audience she is tired of “playing the same music night after night.” and wants to try something different.

After instructing the band to speed up the music, the audience was left bewildered because they couldn't recognize any of the songs.

Nobody could participate because nobody knew the music!,” one fan said. “Everybody was looking around like ‘What song is this?’ It was new music completely. The lyrics were the same, but you had to be on ecstasy to follow the music!

After a while fans started to "storm out" of the building in disgust, way before the show was over.

Hill repeated the exact same antics at her next show Sunday (January 17) at The Pageant Concert Nightclub in St. Louis according to Popeater.

Again some fans left early.

So what exactly is wrong with the former Fugees singer? Is she bored with touring already? Or does she think audiences will take whatever she dishes out?

Whatever the case, fans that paid good money to see her perform and got shortchanged aren't likely to forget anytime soon.

12348741667?profile=originalGucci Mane continues to make business moves despite his recent troubles with the law.  The Atlanta rapper has shot a pilot for a reality series he hopes will be picked up by a network.

The show will center around the life of the leader of 1017 Brick Squad and his crew according to MTV.

"We show everyday life. What we get into in studio and at our shows. We just ordinary people with a crazy rock and roll lifestyle," Gucci Mane said. "Because of the music we make, people think that's what we do all the time — but we got a real family life. We got heart. We do a lot of things for the community and we love each other."

Also scheduled to make appearances on the show is Gucci's Manager, Deb Antney who also happens to be Waka Flocka's mom.

The pilot is being shopped to several networks currently, BET is said to be interested in the project.

It will be interesting to see how this all pans out because Gucci is due back in court January 24, for a probation violation hearing.

Gucci could face up to 17 months in prison if found guilty.

If all goes well and Gucci remains a free man, he said fans can expect to have fun watching his reality show,

"I think they'll get a laugh more than anything," he said. "I'm not serious all the time. People think we are thugs because of our music."

What do you think of a Gucci Mane reality show? Is it something you would be interested in watching?

(CNN) – In her first interview since the Arizona shootings, Sarah Palin Monday sharply beat back critics who have suggested her at-times charged political rhetoric and use of a graphic featuring crosshairs may have contributed to the shooter’s motivations.

"The graphic that was used was crosshairs. That's not original. Democrats have been using them for years," Palin said in the interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News, where Palin is a paid contributor.

"For many years maps in political races have been used to target certain districts that people would feel that they can get into those districts and find someone to whom they believe would represent the constituents' will better than the incumbent," she added.

The map in question – created by Palin's political action committee last spring - featured the crosshairs of a gun over the congressional districts of 20 Democratic candidates – including that of Gabrielle Giffords, the congresswoman who was shot in Tucson nine days ago. Last week, Palin aide Rebecca Monsour defended the graphic, saying the crosshairs were not those of a gun but rather "a surveyor symbol."

But Palin's PAC quickly scrubbed the graphic from its website after the shootings, a move Palin said she found appropriate.

"The contract graphic artist did take it down and I don't think that was inappropriate," said Palin. "If it was going to cause much heartburn and even more controversy I didn’t have a problem with it taken down."

In the 30 minute interview, Palin also addressed the criticism she has faced for her video response to the shootings posted last week on Facebook. Critics particularly took issue with the former governor's use of the term "blood libel," a phrase that for many conjures anti-semetic connotations.

"Blood libel obviously means being falsely accused of having blood on your hands. In this case, that's exactly what was going on," she said, adding later, "Just two days before an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal had that term in its title. And that term has been used for eons."

The phrase, which traditionally refers to a long-standing anti-Semitic myth that Jews murder children for religious rituals, drew fire from the Anti-Defamation League and others. But Palin insisted critics were taking issue with the phrasing in hopes of derailing her overall message.

"It isn't about me personally, but it is about the message," she said. "I know that a lot on the left hate my message, and they will do all that they can to stop me because they don't like the message. They’ll do what they can to destroy the message and the messenger."

Meanwhile, when asked about speculation the recent controversies have disrupted any future political ambitions, Palin vowed she will continue to speak her mind.

"I am not ready to make an announcement about what my political future is going to be. But I will tell you ... I am not going to sit down. I am not going to shut up,"she said.
