Atlanta police are closer to catching Slim Dunkin's killer. They have identified Vinson Hardimon aka Young Vito as a suspect in his shooting.
“We want to let the public know that the individual that we believe is responsible in the death of Slim Dunkin, Mr. Mario Hamilton, is in fact Vinson Hardimon, known in rap circles and the recording industry as Young Vito,” Det. David Quinn told WSBTV.
Quinn added that they are urging Hardimon to turn himself in out of fear that he may also be in danger.
“We want to reach out to Young Vito, Vinson Hardimon, to come holla at us,” Quinn said. “I want the family of Mr. Vinson Hardimon to give us a call, let us know. We are fearful for his safety, because we don’t want anything to happen to him.”
As we previously reported, Dunkin was shot to death Friday (December 16) at an Atlanta recording studio during a fight that was sparked by an argument over a piece of candy.

Dunkin is being laid to rest today at Berean Christian Church in Atlanta.
Drake is heated at the tattoo artist who inked his name across a fan's forehead.
As we previously reported, a Los Angeles woman got the artwork done by tattoo artist Kevin Campbell of Will Rise. Campbell told Vice.com he had no problem doing the work, but he felt "bad that this dumb*ss got the name of the softest motherf*cker in hip hop tattooed on her forehead."
Drake heard about the tattoo and said he'd like to meet the woman to find out why she did it.
"I wanna meet her and find out what happened," he told Mando Fresco of Los Angeles’ Power 106. "That's cool though...I feel you 100%. That to me is like absolutely incredible."
Drizzy was not so nice when speaking about Campbell though. He threatens to hurt the artist, possibly because he called him soft.
“The guy who tatted is a f*cking a**hole though, I will tell you that," Drake said. "I don’t f*ck with that guy. F*ck you to that tat artist by the way. And you should lose your job and should never do tattoos again and I don’t f*ck with you. And if I ever see you, I’ma f*ck you up.”
Tyler, The Creator spent a night in jail after being arrested for vandalism in Hollywood.
The Odd Future front man is seen on tape kicking and throwing sound equipment inside the Roxy Theatre. What set him off isn't known, but Tyler is known to have a short fuse.
According to TMZ, club employees called police around 11:30 PM and Tyler was arrested shortly afterwards. To make matters worse his mother was in the audience. She was said to be quite upset at seeing her son taken away in handcuffs.
Tyler was arrested on suspicion of vandalism and booked at a nearby substation.
50 Cent definitely made his presence felt on the season finale of X-Factor Thursday (December 22). Fif took the stage with some beauties dancing in the background and performed "Wait Until Tonight," backed by Governor. The track is featured on 50's new street album The Big 10.

Shawty Lo is recovering after becoming ill Tuesday (December 20) from complications due to diabetes. The G-Unit/D4L rapper was hospitalized, but his manager Johnnie Cabbell said he is now on the mend.
"We appreciate the outpouring of concern and prayers. Shawty Lo was hospitalized yesterday," Cabbell told MTV's Rap Fix. “He suffers from Diabetes and had to seek immediate medical attention, although he is now resting and doing well. He will be able to fulfill his scheduled upcoming performances and appearances."
Shawty has lived with it for 11 years. Earlier this year he spoke with HipHopDX about learning to cope with it.
“I’m diabetic. I’ve been diabetic for 11 years now, and first I was in denial when I first became a diabetic because I wanted to stay the same," Shawty said at the time. "But when you learn how to cope with it, you deal with it. I’m trying to teach people who have the disease that you can live with it.”
In June Shawty inked a 50/50 deal with 50 Cent's G-Unit Record Label.
"It's like a new beginning and all I needed was someone behind me," Shawty told AllHipHop in June. "50 [Cent] is a marketing genius and I got my new thing. D4L and G-Unit...we going to be working the south and the rest of the world if need be...my new situation with G-Unit was just solidified and I got off the phone with 50 yesterday, I just signed a really large deal."

"Got more bricks than houses in Atlanta/Damn how a white b*tch more hood than David Banner?" - V-Nasty 'FoodPlug'
David Banner was a guest on Shade 45's "Sway in the Morning" show yesterday (December 21). The Mississippi rapper heard V-Nasty's diss aimed towards him for the very first time when Sway played it for him. It left him wondering what has happened to the hip hop culture. He sees things being said and done now that he feels shouldn't be accepted.
V-Nasty's verse appears on the song 'FoodPlug' which also features Gucci Mane. It was most likely a response to a song Banner released earlier this year titled 'Swag.' Many people thought he was talking about V-Nasty when he rapped the line, "the homies is busting slugs, the women is shaking ass/The white girls call us "n*gga" and just sit back and laugh and call it "Swag, swag, swag!"
"It don't bother me at all," Banner said after hearing V-Nasty's diss. "The problem with hip hop is people try to act a certain way and they put it on they sleeves. The stuff that I did that was hood I can't talk about it on a record. It's funny when people tell these kids to be hood and they don't stay in the hood. They give these kids the mentality of staying in the hood and that shows you what other cultures think about us as black people, and how they try to play us as black men against each other. Because the sad thing about it is--at the end of the day I'm the big mean black guy. Regardless of how articulate I am. If I move any kind of way I will always be crucified," Banner continued. "So, what I realized as black people we need to stop letting people play our culture like that. It's not up to me to feel a certain way. I feel bad for the people that allow other people to do this to our culture. I shouldn't have to say anything, this should be handled."
Banner went on to say the song 'Swag' wasn't about V-Nasty to begin with.
"And I said I wasn't going to speak about her. I wasn't going to call her name. I'm not ever gonna say this girl's name. But what I will say--the funny thing about it, the record was never about her," Banner told Sway and Devi Dev. "It was never about her, it was about what we accept as people. I'm more concerned with the people that's around her that allow her to feel comfortable enough to do that. It's actually sad to me. And it's sad that we as a people accept that. I actually feel sorry--not just for her, but just for the whole situation in general. I was actually one of the people that kept folks off of her. I was one of the people that said, 'nah bruh that's a little girl.' We deal on another level than just rap. Even on a business level [people called] like 'dude, what do you want us to do?'. I said I don't want you to do nothing because I honestly believe that she don't know no better," he explained. "The plight between our races is so much bigger than her. I don't even think she knows the ramifications and the pain of the word, especially coming from Mississippi. Especially in the south. And then for people to tell us I don't care what you think. You mean to tell me you're in our culture, using our culture, making money off our culture and you don't care about what the people think? Her people were not hung from trees and forced to accept the word n*gger. We had to internalize the word because we couldn't get away from it, we were slaves. And people forget their history dude. Being in Hollywood and being around certain cultures, that if you say certain things that they say, then your movies start flying, the lights start going out. The thing I want people to know is when is it enough? If it aint the word n*gga what about the disrespecting of God? Because now our culture has gotten to the point where if it's popping and it's making money then it's acceptable. What's not acceptable? What is enough? I can't say what it is, but what the f*ck is enough? It's like anything with our culture now is for sale."
X-Factor made history last night when R. Kelly performed his hit song "I Believe I Can Fly" for the first time as a duet with contestant Melanie Amaro.
"It was unbelievable, there's no doubt that this girl is on her way to the moon," Kelly said after the performance.
The duo sang the song which earned Kelly three Grammy Awards, as the contest is drawing to a close. Only Amaro, Chris Rene and Josh Krajcik remain in the hunt for the $5 milliondollar recording contract that will be awarded to the winner.

Fabolous'There Is No Competition mixtape series will come to an end when he releases the third installment on Christmas Day.

Young Jeezy's new disc Thug Motivation 103: Hustlerz Ambition is projected to have a good opening week with sales between 200,000-225,000 according to HitsDailyDouble. Jeezy's fans obviously stuck by him through numerous delays for the project and supported his fourth solo album.
Jeezy's previous album, The Recession, sold 260,000 during it's first week of release. That album has since been certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association Of America (RIAA). I'm sure Jeezy would be happy if TM103 peaks with those kinds of numbers.
Common's new album The Dreamer/The Believer didn't fare as well as Jeezy's, but is still projected to move between 55,000-65,000 units.
