TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) — 2 freshman members of the Indiana State University football team were among the 3 students who were killed in a weekend crash.

2 other football team members who were injured in the crash were out of intensive care but remained hospitalized in serious condition.

The single-vehicle crash happened around 1:30 a.m. Sunday when the vehicle went off a state highway & struck a tree in the small town of Riley, about 10 miles from the university’s Terre Haute campus. Vigo County Sheriff John Plasse said the vehicle was on fire when deputies arrived & that the driver & 2 passengers were pronounced dead at the scene.

Those killed were identified as Christian Eubanks, 18, Jayden Musili, 19, & Caleb VanHooser, 19.

Eubanks was a freshman linebacker & VanHooser was a freshman defensive back.

Those injured were Omarian Dixon, 20, a redshirt freshman running back & John Moore, 19, a redshirt freshman linebacker.

Hundreds of students & others gathered Sunday evening outside the university’s football stadium for a vigil in honor of the crash victims.

Blueface's girlfriend is in police custody after punching him square in the face -- the second time in less than a month -- but he's begging cops to let her go free.

Chrisean Rock unloaded on the rapper Sunday night while they were in Whiskey Row bar in Scottsdale, AZ. Blueface was standing in front of Chrisean when she hauled back & struck him twice in the face.

She landed both shots, sending Blueface backward & he made no attempt to go back at her. Instead, security took her down ... pinning Chrisean to the ground until Scottsdale PD arrived to haul her off in handcuffs.

So, Blueface's reaction to the violent incident? "Free Rock!!!"

He posted a video saying, "We don't ever make the same mistake twice" ... clearly referring to their very public fight earlier this month.

TMZ broke the story when they both went at each other on the streets of Hollywood -- Chrisean threw the first punch, but Blueface, who's slated to box Nick Young in a celeb event next month, fought back, pinning her to the ground. Cops didn't witness the fight, but after seeing video said they'd opened an investigation.

Nothing's come of that incident yet & the couple never broke up over it, but now -- with Chrisean in jail -- Blueface says he wants her freed, we think. He was kinda laughing during the video.

MULBERRY, Ark. (AP) — Three Arkansas law enforcement officers have been suspended & a state police has been investigation launched after a video posted on social media showed a suspect being held down on the ground & beaten by police.

Arkansas State Police said Sunday night that it would investigate the use of force by the officers earlier in the day outside a convenience store in Mulberry, about 140 miles northwest of Little Rock.

Two Crawford County sheriff’s deputies & 1 Mulberry police officer were suspended Sunday, city & county. The officers were responding to a report of a man making threats outside the convenience store, authorities said.

State police identified the man as Randall Worcester, 27, of Goose Creek, South Carolina. The video shows 1 officer punching Worcester with a clenched fist, while another can be seen kneeing him & a third is holding him down.

Worcester was taken to a hospital for treatment Sunday then released & booked on multiple charges, including second-degree battery, resisting arrest & terroristic threatening.

Authorities have not released the names of the 3 officers. Crawford County Sheriff Jimmy Damante said Sunday that the 2 deputies were suspended pending an investigation.

WASHINGTON (NBC News) — Former NBA player Dennis Rodman said Saturday that he plans to visit Russia to seek the release of Brittney Griner, the WNBA star who was sentenced to nine years in prison on drug charges earlier this month.

"I got permission to go to Russia to help that girl," Rodman told NBC News "I'm trying to go this week."

If Rodman goes to Russia, it won't be the first time he has conducted informal diplomacy with an international leader who has strained relations with the U.S.

Rodman has cultivated a relationship with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un over the past decade, making multiple visits to the hermit kingdom. He called Russian President Vladimir Putin "cool" after a 2014 trip to Moscow. In 2018, he showed up on the sidelines of former President Donald Trump's meeting with Kim in Singapore. And he has credited himself with helping to secure the release of American Kenneth Bae from North Korea.

The U.S. has imposed stiff sanctions on Russia in response to its invasion of Ukraine and is aiding Ukraine’s forces. Griner's imprisonment has created an additional source of tension between the two countries — and a potential avenue for diplomacy.

Bill Richardson, a former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations who has been involved in past hostage negotiations, told The Associated Press this month that he was optimistic about the chances for a prisoner swap that would bring Griner and another American, Paul Whelan, back to the U.S.

NEW YORK (AP) — Sex toys & shoes? Try, sex toys IN shoes.

A little streetwear label has partnered with a giant in the adult toy industry to create a shoe derived in part from unused, defective amusements that come off the manufacturing line as misfits.

Looking a lot like Merrell’s popular Hydro Moc or Yeezy’s Foam Runners, Plastic Soul is about 15% sex toy. The rest is non-bleach EVA, a petroleum-based foam that’s difficult to recycle.

The shoe is the brainchild of David Teitelbaum, founder of Rose in Good Faith & Chad Braverman, chief operating officer for Doc Johnson, the adult toy company his father founded in 1976.

“Personally, I love shoes. So it was a cool product, a really interesting way to get Doc Johnson on board with something that I would never ever do,” Braverman said.

Teitelbaum is a collaboration king with elevated Ed Hardy, Lil Peep & Juice Wrld hoodies, T-shirts & other merch under his belt. Before the pandemic, he was looking for something new. He met with an adult film company, which put him on to Doc Johnson.

“Something like 28% of the sales are going to women,” Teitelbaum said. “We’re hitting an interesting narrative. I think there’s a deeper connection.”

The online feedback has been mixed, Teitelbaum said.

“A lot of it has been, ‘You look like Yeezy, go (expletive) yourself,’” he said. “But we also get so much love.”

OCONEE COUNTY, Ga. - An armed & dangerous man wanted in connection to a 1994 Atlanta murder was finally captured during a traffic stop in Oconee County this past Tuesday.

Muhammed Bilal El-Amin was wanted for shooting a man in the face at the Oakland MARTA train station on Nov. 27, 1994. Jafferd Tucker, 18, died at the scene & El-Amin went on the run, police say. A federal warrant was issued charging him with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution in May 2001.

Investigators were only able to identify him after taking him into custody for driving on a suspended license, no insurance & suspended registration.

Deputies in Oconee County say they were performing routine registration checks on vehicles along East Monroe Highway & Hog Mountain Road on Tuesday afternoon when a Mazda came back as having no current registration or insurance.

A deputy pulled over the vehicle & the driver identified himself as Rais Sekhem. He handed the deputy a South Carolina license, which when ran through a law enforcement database, came back as having an active suspension.

The deputy called for backup and then took him into custody. Once he arrived at the Oconee County Jail, he was fingerprinted. Those prints were then run through the law enforcement database which revealed his true identity.

Quando Rondo got caught in the middle of a deadly shooting in broad daylight in L.A. on Friday ... triggering a freak-out from the rapper.

Videos circulating online show Quando in a mask CLEARLY upset while talking to a police officer in West Hollywood right after the bloodshed. In the videos, Quando appears very animated, flailing his arms & stumbling backward.

At one point, Quando sees the police drag a body out of a black Escalade & he promptly walks away, screaming in agony.

A rep for Quando tells us the rapper is "OK," but then clammed up on us.

Several gunmen drove to a gas station in Beverly Grove & opened fire, hitting a young man.

His friends loaded him into the black SUV & drove about a mile to West Hollywood, where they were stopped by police officers responding to the shooting scene. This is where the videos of Quando were shot and it appears he's just a witness.

Cops gave CPR to the victim, who was breathing, but not conscious. An ambulance rushed the victim to the hospital, where he died.

The suspects fled in a white sedan.

Quando is no stranger to gun violence. He & his crew were shot at in Blackshear, Georgia, back in May 2021. One of his handlers was wounded in that attack.

Then, in November 2020, King Von was shot dead at an Atlanta hookah lounge following a confrontation between his crew and Quando's entourage.

WARSAW, Poland (AP) — A 81-year-old Danish woman traveling from Africa to Canada was arrested at Warsaw airport on suspicion of illegal possession of heroin worth over $515,000, officials in Poland said Friday.

Customs officers at Frederic Chopin Airport decided to check the woman’s luggage Sunday after becoming suspicious of her itinerary and her uneasy behavior. Packages with 5 kilograms (11 pounds) of heroin were discovered under a false suitcase bottom.

The woman, traveling from Malawi and Kenya through Doha and Warsaw, denied any wrongdoing and said family members had given her the suitcase with gifts for relatives in Canada, according to Aleksandra Skrzyniarz, a spokeswoman for the prosecutor’s office in Warsaw.

She was detained for three months and prosecutors have opened an investigation. Under Polish law, she faces up to 15 years in prison for illegal possession of narcotics.

Denmark officials confirmed that a Danish citizen was detained in Poland and said the ministry is “providing consular assistance.”

PASADENA, Texas (KTRK) -- A 17-year-old is charged with two counts of capital murder for his role in a deadly shooting during an illegal drug transaction.

Pasadena police responded to a shooting call at an apartment building in the 2700 block of Pasadena Boulevard just after noon on Thursday.

At the scene, officers found two male victims with multiple gunshots wounds.

One was transported to a hospital via Life Flight, and the other was taken by an ambulance. Both of the victims died from their injuries, police said.

An investigation revealed that the two victims and the suspect, identified as 17-year-old Joseph Quinones, were involved in a dispute over an illegal drug transaction.

Quinones turned himself into police later Thursday, officials said. He's charged with two counts of capital murder.

Police did not identify the two victims. It was unclear if they were teenagers or adults.
