Sean 'Diddy' Combs has been taking secret singing lessons to prepare for his first record release with new group Diddy Dirty Money.

The Bad Boy Records boss has teamed with singer Kalenna Harper and former Danity Kane member Dawn Richard to form the new trio, which is set to debut its first album, Last Train to Paris, in September.

The rapper/producer displayed his vocal abilities on the band's single Angels last year but he admits he's been quietly working on sharpening up his singing skills.

He says, "On this new album there's a love story and in this love story I'm expressing myself in different ways, and sometimes I'm singing. I wanted to make sure I wasn't going to have myself out there. I was going to take the proper lessons."

After Ciara's 2009 album "Fantasy Ride" failed to meet expectations -- selling a meager 195,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan -- following the success of 2006's "Ciara: The Evolution," which sold 1.3 million copies, and her "Goodies" debut, which sold 2.7 million -- many counted her out.

But with the help of lead single "Ride" from "Basic Instincts," her fourth studio album due Oct. 5 on Jive
Records, the R&B singer/dancer/actress is back with a vengeance.

The single, produced by Christopher "Tricky" Stewart and written by the-Dream -- who together helmed the entire album -- is No. 5 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and No. 42 on the Billboard Hot 100 after 13 weeks on each. The track has sold 250,000 downloads to date, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

"The track has caught on because it's infectious, memorable and returns Ciara to her fan base," Stewart says. "The last album we had a number of people in our ears not believing in our vision. This time Ciara drew the line and really fought for what she believed in."

Another reason: Sex sells. Ciara takes that adage a step further than she did on her "Love Sex Magic" song and video with Justin Timberlake from her last album. Her limber writhing in a bodysuit in the videoclip seems demure compared with "Ride." The highly sexified, push-the-envelope track finds Ciara boasting about her sexual prowess ("I can do it up and down, I can do circles/To him I'm a gymnast, this room is my circus," she sings in a breathy tenor) atop a thumping, slinky beat.

The accompanying video, directed by Diane Martel, is just as explicit as the lyrics. The clip features Ciara provocatively gliding and bouncing atop a mechanical bull while wearing a wet T-shirt, among other highly sexualized visuals -- so much so that BET Networks banned the video from its channel.

"Ride" isn't the only promising track gleaned from "Basic Instinct" so far; "Gimme Dat," a more uptempo but equally brash song was released as a buzz track. "I've been gone for too long, now it's time I take it back," she confidently opens the song over a lively, bass-driven dance beat. Additionally, a remix to "Ride," featuring OutKast rapper André 3000, was released on the Internet.

While Ciara's album was pushed back a number of times and an official second single hasn't been released yet, her recent chart successes have many rooting for her and the future of her music career. "I've never doubted her talents or her will to succeed."I am grateful to work with such a talented artist as Ciara," the-Dream tells Billboard.

NEW YORK (Billboard) – Rappers have a propensity for christening themselves with royal titles to promote their standing in hip-hop (e.g., King of the South, Prince of Rap). But for Bun B, the less-regal handle Trill OG was the most fitting.

"My plan is just to ignite the fire that speaks to the issues that go on in the streets," Bun B (born Bernard Freeman) says about the moniker, which stands for "true and real original gangster."

To do so, the 37-year-old rapper joined forces with Young Jeezy, the late Pimp C (partner to Bun B in the duo UGK), Yo Gotti and Gucci Mane, among others, for "Trill OG" the album, out Tuesday (August 3) on Rap-a-Lot/Fontana. J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, Drumma Boy and Boi-1da are among the set's producers.

Billboard: You have a song with 2Pac (deceased rapper Tupac Shakur), Pimp C and Trey Songz on "Trill OG" called "Right Now." How did that come together?

Bun B: We had these verses that Pimp and I had already recorded for a 2Pac tribute album. We had submitted the music but it wasn't accepted, for some reason. But it recently came out of the archives and I was able to put a new verse on there and some new sounds and voices to really bring new life out of it. The ... subject matter is something that Pimp C and 2Pac were known for: the ladies. So it made sense to bring in Trey Songz to tie it all together.

Billboard: There are a lot of Texas-bred artists on the album, including Slim Thug, LeToya and Play-N-Skillz. How important is it still to rep your hometown?

Bun B: Texas has had incredible moments in the history of hip-hop. But there is a misconception that because we aren't at the forefront that we aren't here at all. But we're still making music, going on tour and getting in front of and connecting with the people.

Billboard: How was recording this album different from your last one, especially considering this is your first solo release since Pimp C's death?

Bun B: There was no anxiety behind this one, actually. There was no dealing with Pimp C being locked up, or Pimp C passing away. There wasn't that kind of pressure. We took up to a year to record this album and allowed everyone working on it to put their best foot forward. No one had to rush. If we didn't like something, we scrapped it and tried it again. Because of that, this is a really strong album.

Billboard: What is the goal you want to achieve with "Trill OG?"

Bun B: It's time for Texas to move back to the top, and in order for that to happen, someone has to take charge. Since I call myself the Trill OG, the first thing I have to do is round up the troops.
That's what this album is -- to show that Texas is back. I'm just taking the lead and bringing everyone else with me.

Considered by many the reigning pound-for-pound king in mixed martial arts, UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva has been imagined in many fascinating scenarios. Some have envisioned him fighting welterweight champ Georges St. Pierre at a catch weight (Silva himself once suggested the possibility of fighting at welterweight). A permament move up one division to light-heavyweight has also been mentioned, and UFC President Dana White has voiced a belief that he's big enough and talented enough to fight some UFC heavyweights.

Well, put all those dream bookings on hold. The mercurial star now says that he's perfectly content ruling over the 185-pound weight class, and that he plans to stay there for the remainder of his career.

Eschewing possible superfights with the likes of St. Pierre and Mauricio "Shogun" Rua, Silva says they'll have to meet him on his own turf to face him.

"If you want to beat me up, make weight and come fight me in my category, my division," Silva said through his manager and interpreter Ed Soares.

Silva is in the midst of a historic run in the sport. At 26-4 overall, he is the holder of 11 straight victories in the octagon, a UFC record. He next defends the championship against No. 1 contender Chael Sonnen at UFC 117 on August 7.

Despite his astounding success, he's faced some backlash from critics who thought several of his recent performances have been uninspired. He was booed soundly at the end of his last fight, a UFC 112 unanimous decision over Demian Maia, in which many people believed he could have finished Maia early on. It's caused many to suggest that Silva is no longer interested in facing middleweights, but he denied that was the case.

"I haven't gotten bored," he said. "I like my sport. I like my weight division that I fight in, and I'm prepared to stay in my weight division."

Moments later, Silva emphasized that not only was he not bored, but that he planned to be at middleweight for a long time to come.

"He said that I didn't translate it exactly. He said he wants to retire fighting in his weight category," Soares said.

As previously reported on PaperChaserDotCom, Laurence Fishburne's daughter, Montana has embarked upon a career in porn.

The 19 year old believes she can achieve mainstream success eventually, by going this unconventional route.

Other Hollywood stars like Paris Hilton, Pamela Anderson, Kim Kardashian and most recently Kendra Wilkinson have all had sex tapes leak without it having an adverse affect on their careers.

In fact, you could argue that Paris and Montana's idol, Kim K. are even more famous because of their sex tapes.

So who's to say if this will work for Montana aka "Chippy D".

"I've watched how successful Kim Kardashian became and I think a lot of it was due to the release of her sex tape by Vivid," Fishburne said in a press release. "I'm hoping the same magic will work for me. I'm impatient about getting well-known and having more opportunities and this seemed like a great way to get started on it."

Vivid Entertainment is the same company that produced the XXX tapes of Kardashian and Wilkinson. They plan on releasing Fishburne's self titled tape August 18.

"Montana made up her mind to make this DVD before we met her," Vivid co-founder/chairman Steven Hirsch said. "She grew up in the entertainment business and was well aware of our company. In looking at the careers of many current leading female personalities, she saw a path to success and hopes to follow it."

Still though, you would think that with a father who has starred in movies like 'The Matrix', 'King Of New York', 'Deep Cover', 'Boyz In Da Hood' and so many other great films, Montana would have been able to get a break in Hollywood without taking off her clothes.

Oh well.......

Aaron Hall hasn't had a hit in a minute, but he's been keeping an eye on the R&B scene and is not that impressed with a few cats.

The former lead singer of the group, Guy goes in on The-Dream, Trey Songz and R. Kelly.

"Dream is a good writer, but he's gotta lose weight, that's A. All that writing and stuff and what you did with your ex-wife [Christina Milian] is wrong, so you aint the king of nothing," he tells CarltonJordon.com. "As far as Trey Songz...I'm glad he's got R. Kelly by the headlock, copying his style, but the king of R&B, nobody can touch my vocals."

People have compared R. Kelly to Aaron Hall for a long time. Their vocals definitely sound very similar. Does Aaron feel like R. Kelly jacked his swag?

"The thing is, when people do it [jack your swag] you don't have to get upset because people stole your style. You should be flattered and happy, because the streets, he can't even be dropped off in the projects. Everybody love me, they know a thief."

Spoken like a real OG in the game.

Aaron has a new album coming out soon titled '64 Classic'

While some artists refuse to accept the changing times and the signs of wrinkles, rap trio Naughty By Nature welcome both with open arms. Treach, Vin Rock and DJ Kay Gee are well-aware of the fact that they are no longer young superstars, but that hasn't stopped their will to succeed.

Since the rap group formed in 1989, they've witnessed many changes in the hip-hop landscape. One of the most astounding advancements being the emergence of social media platforms. "Last year with Facebook and Twitter, we really anchored on to social media as an outlet," Vin Rock reveals. "We've had our first website up since 1996, and we stayed online with this thing the whole time. It's very important to us. Right now, we're getting the most important impact from people globally and a lot of people might not hear our records on the radio a million times a day, but [they] definitely [hear them] online."

Naughty By Nature's work ethic has earned the group the title of hip-hop icons. As 40-something rappers, they feel with age comes experience and a number does nothing to define their creative spirit. As long as there's a warm reception from fans, celebrating another year older is no reason to put down the mic.

"I just think a lot of people are paranoid about age; ageism is big in hip-hop," says Vin Rock. "As artists and business people, you shouldn't be pigeon-holed in any given thing. Look at the growth of Queen Latifah and Will Smith... As artists you can do music, you can do television and film, you can do business ventures like you see Diddy and Jay-Z doing. So for people that get paranoid, some of your hottest rappers today are in the mid-30's when people [used] to say once you're 30 years old you shouldn't be rapping."

Treach also had similar sentiments to share. "Truthfully, some of the artists out there lose their love for it as they get older in the game and they don't have that hunger and that fight [anymore]," he continues. "So they feel like they can't keep up. In my book, it's like this: Keep doing it until you know you're wack. Good music is good music. If you keep throwing it at 'em and keep feeding the people, they gonna appreciate it and respect it."

The manager of a Chicago cell phone store says it was just instinct that prompted him to spring into action and fight off an armed robber Tuesday evening.

"Everything happened fast. I'm still absorbing this," Mostafa Mohammad said more than 24 hours later. "Nothing like this has ever happened to me before."

It was around 5:20 p.m. Tuesday when a man walked into the Cricket Wireless store.

Surveillance video shows the man looking at a wall of phones and then showing a weapon as he moves behind the counter.

"He showed me the gun, and asked me to give him everything in the register," Mohammad recalled.

A few feet away, a woman standing at a register pulls out a phone, and thinking she was calling the police, the robber points the gun at her and in the direction of Mohammad's co-worker and her young daughter.

That's when Mohammed sprang into action, grabbing the gun.

The gun fired and put a hole in the counter.

A bullet grazed his co-worker and narrowly missed the young girl.

"He pointed the gun at them, right in my face, so it was just a split-second decision I made," Mohammad said.

The two men fell to the floor and fought for control of the gun.

Mohammad said the man told him during the struggle that he was going to kill him.

Seconds later, Mohammad got the upper hand.

"I was just trying to keep everybody safe. I didn't want anybody to be hurt," he said.

Despite his best effort to hold the robber, Mohammad said the man ran off seconds later.

"I don't shoot people. I'm not a violent person. Especially considering the way Palestinians are portrayed in the news, I wanted to be an example of non-violence," he said.

Mohammad said he's a former youth organizer who cares about his community and wants to see it improve.

Calumet Area detectives are investigating, but no one is in custody.

The robber made off with $83, a store employee said
