By now most of you have heard about the dispute going on between Big Fendi of the Come Up DVD and Nicki Minaj.

As we previously reported, Fendi says without him and his DVD series there would be no Nicki Minaj, but when the Harajuku Barbie blew up with Young Money she didn't compensate him financially for his hard work.

Jadakiss of The Lox was there from the beginning and witnessed Nicki's rise to fame.

"There's always three sides to the story-Fen's Nicki's and the truth," Jada says in an interview with Doggie Diamonds of Forbez DVD. "Everybody need that machine. Nobody can do it on their own. You need that machine and you need somebody behind you pushing you. Fen was doing that with her from the beginning. He called me with her on the 3-way and asked me if the name Nicki Minaj a good name for her. I told her 'yeah.' I guess they agreed on it, then that became her name. It's a dirty world. It's a dirty game. And if you aint on top of your sh*t they'll double cross you quick."

Shouts to Doggie Diamonds and M. Reck of Forbez DVD and Big Fendi.

We hear a lot about celebrities getting taking to the cleaners during divorce proceedings. Tiger Woods, Michael Strahan, Paul McCartney, Madonna, Michael Douglas, Harrison Ford, Michael Jordan, Steven Spielberg all lost huge amounts of money in their divorces.

Apparently Russell Brand is cut from a different cloth because he's refusing to take the $20 million he's entitled to in his pending divorce from Katy Perry according to TMZ.

Katy made $44 million between May, 2010 and May, 2011. The couple didn't have a prenup so everything they made during that time period is community property, but Russell doesn't want his 50%.

"This divorce is as amicable as it gets, and Russell was a mensch (Yiddish for a good person)," says a source.

Is he nuts for not taking the money?

Timbaland and Missy Elliot have collaborated on many hit records so it's only right that they make their return to the music scene at the same time.

Missy's last album was 2005's The Cookbook. Timbaland last dropped a full length disc in 2009 with Shock Value II. Both artists will be making a return to the music scene in June 2012.

"The only thing I'll reveal is me and Missy are both coming with our albums at the same time, and it will be in June," Timbaland told MTV. "Right now, we're preparing to get both our videos, our first singles, shot kinda at the same time," Tim said. "We want to do it as a movement and spontaneously. I just don't wanna move too far ahead of her and she don't wanna move too far ahead of me. So we're both doing it at the same time."

The West Coast's most outrageous group, Odd Future, just released the cover to their upcoming album, The OF Tape Vol. 2.

If it were any other band I'd think this was a joke, but Tyler, The Creator said the cover is the real deal.

"Thats The Cover. And Sweatshirt Will Not Be On The Tape. Not Trolling Either," he wrote on Twitter.

The face featured is Odd Future affilliate Lucas Vercetti. The album is due out March 20th.

In October 2007, T.I. was arrested by agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) after buying three machine guns and two silencers from undercover officers. A subsequent search of his home turned up six more firearms.

He was charged with felony offenses of possession of unregistered machine guns [and silencers] and possession of firearms by a convicted felon.

In March 2008, Tip was sentenced to a year and a day in prison after a Georgia judge accepted a plea deal negotiated between his lawyer and U.S. Attorney David Nahmias.

T.I. was released from prison in March 2009. Ever since then there has been speculation by some that he snitched in order to get such a light sentence. A charge the rapper has denied.

A new supporter is speaking out on the Grand Hustle CEO's behalf. Big Meech of the Black Mafia Family (B.M.F.), who is himself currently incarcerated wrote a letter to StraightFromTheA defending Tip, proclaimg the rapper is not a snitch.

What’s “Craccin”

I must get straight to the point because I personally have a problem with people assassinating a real stand up dude character, namely T.I., talking about he a “SNITCH” when we are living in the information era and there is absolutely no public record of this man being a “SNITCH.”

There is no person in the Federal or State system that can say or saying that “T.I. Clifford Harris” snitched on them.

I’m tired of people spraying his name when his plea deal and sentencing transcripts is “ONLINE.” You pay $40 to get on “Pacer” and you have access to all court documents on any person in the “UNITED STATES.”

They also show you any motions or appeals that’s filed within a 48 hour period. The government would never hide the fact that T.I. is a snitch because they would want the world to know that they broke him like they broke Sammy the Bull, Nicky Barnes, Rayful Edmunds, Alpo, and Frank Lucas, who snitched on his own family members.

As far as the Ohio incident in which his friend Philant got killed, Tip was subpoenaed to court and only said a van pulled alongside and started shooting. He DID NOT see the shooter or who was shooting. From my understanding, the shooters own brother snitched on HIM.

To sum it up, I put me… “THE REAL BIG MEECH” and the whole “B.M.F.” family life on the line that “T.I. Clifford Harris” is a “100% Solid Authentic Dude.”

“Loyalty is not just a word it’s a LIFESTYLE”

With respect n’ much love,

The REAL BIG Meech

So there you have it. What do you believe?

Schoolboy Q and A$AP Rocky are part of the two strongest new movements on their respective coasts. Schoolboy is part of the West Coast group Black Hippy, along with Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock and Ab-Soul. While the A$AP Mob is doing big things on the East Coast.

A$AP and Schoolboy have already collaborated on two songs, "Hands on the Wheel" and "Brand New Guy." Schoolboy told MTV the two have a lot in common.

"A$AP is the homie man, we kind of live the same lifestyle. Smoke weed, sip lean and we wanna f*ck b*tches and get fly," Schoolboy said. "I'm a little more gangsta than him and he's a little more swaggier than me. But we're kinda the same sh*t, just different places."

Schoolboy added that the two could possibly do a joint project.

"We're definitely talkin' right now. We may give y'all a project, but it all has to be right," Schoolboy said. "The timing has to be right. He's busy right now, I'm busy right now, so I can't give no promises when it'll come or if it will come, but we definitely talkin' about it."

Jay-Z is worth $420 million dollars according to Forbes. No doubt he's worked hard for it. The question is, when you're that wealthy do you have an obligation to give back to those less fortunate? Or at the very least break off a chunk of cash for your own charity?

Those are questions Jay-Z is probably thinking about today after The Daily published a report claiming the superstar rapper made $63 million dollars in 2010, but only gave $6,431 to his own charity. The Daily came up with those numbers by examining tax records for the Shawn Carter Scholarship Fund.

Hov's wife, Beyonce, reportedly made $87 million dollars that same year, but did not donate any money at all to the Foundation.

According to the report, the average American gives about 3.5 percent of their income to charity. Jay-Z gave about 0.01 percent of his estimated income to his own charity in 2010.

12349196073?profile=original

The Foundation was established in 2003 by Jay and his mother, Gloria Carter. According to it's mission statement "Shawn Carter Scholars are studying at nearly 100 institutions of higher learning throughout the nation." Scholarships awarded help students with "the costs of books and lab fees, food, travel and other self-care expenses." But where exactly is the money to fund these endeavors coming from if Jay-Z is contributing so little?

Hov's representative, Jana Fleishman, told The Daily that the rapper contributes in other ways.

Jay, along with his family, provided office support, overhead support, [mother] Mrs. Gloria Carter’s 100% effort and time, computers, FedEx expenses, accounting, and treasury function support. This was at no cost to the charity,” Fleishman said.

The Daily noted that tax records show the charity only had to pay $1,209 for office expenses, $1,401 for telephone, and $4,696 in other expenses in 2010.

Fleishman also said that in 2011 Jay-Z helped raise $1.25 million for the charity at its Carnival at Pier 54 event. The Daily couldn't verify those numbers because tax records for 2011 are not yet available.

To be fair to Hov he is playing two Carnegie Hall concerts for free (the first was last night, the second is tonight). Proceeds are being spit between the United Way of New York City and The Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation, but it's not known exactly how much money that will translate into for the foundation.

The 54th annual Grammy Awards is fast approaching. With just a few days left before the big event the Associated Press caught up with Best New Artist nominee J. Cole.

"I feel blessed first and foremost, but I'm already back to work. I'm already on to the next one," Cole told the AP. "I'm grateful for everything that happened, but I'm not satisfied. There's still accomplishments that keep happening from the work that I put in last year and the last two, three years. The single goes platinum, the album goes gold...Grammy nomination. But those are just reminders of the work that I did. That's in the past, I'm already on to the next move."

Cole was so confident in his debut album Cole World: The Sideline Story and it's lead single "Work Out" he made sure they were released before the Grammy deadline, because he felt like he had a shot.

"Around the time of Work Out I was like, 'yo this is the single we gotta move.' And everybody at the label [Roc Nation] knew we had to move, just like I knew 'this is the one.'" he said. "Because I was telling my management and telling the label, 'I have to beat the Grammy deadline. I gotta do it.' If you look at the date my album came out like 2 days before the Grammy deadline. It's because I knew, 'Yo I got a shot.' I thought my album was that good. But then the crazy thing is, even though I thought that when it was time for the Grammy announcements to come out I really, truly had already given up. I was like, 'Ahh nah' it didn't feel right. I didn't think they saw. I didn't think anybody noticed or whatever, but they did."

Cole went on to give props to Nicki Minaj and Skrillex for being two hip hop influenced acts who are also nominated. Those three will be in competition with The Band Perry and Bon Iver for the trophy.

The 54th annual Grammy Awards airs Sunday, February 12, 2012 8:00 p.m. ET on CBS.

Jay-Z played the first of two benefit shows at Carnegie Hall Monday (February 6). Hov will perform there again tonight. Proceeds from the concerts will go towards the United Way of New York City and The Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation.

The event marked the first time Beyonce had been seen in public since giving birth to daughter Blue Ivy Carter. Her husband celebrated having his wife in the building by performing "Glory" for the first time live. The song dedicated is to his baby girl. It was an emotional moment for the Brooklyn MC.

I didn’t think I was gonna make it through, that one was tough,” he told the crowd at the end of the song.

Nas joined Jay onstage to perform "New York State Of Mind." Alicia Keys was also on hand. She and Jay performed their hit record "Empire State Of Mind."
