If you have seen Nicki Minaj's live perfomances, especially her over the top "exorcism" at The Grammys you know the Young Money star has a flair for the dramatic.

She graduated from LaGuardia High School of Music and Performing Arts in New York City. What she learned there has carried over into her rap career.

"That's just who I am. I was a theater major; I studied theater," Minaj told MTV News. "It's funny because, even with the Grammys, that wasn't the first time I've done theater. Like 'Moment 4 Life,' I did a skit I was pretending to be an old lady, Martha, when I did 'Right Thru Me,' I did a skit. I always try to do that when I have the forum to do it."

A lot of teens have started to try to emulate the Harajuku Barbie by dressing like her. It's something that Minaj is comfortable with.

"I guess I am pop culture just because what I'm doing seems to be popular. When people want to do what you're doing, it's kinda popular," she said. "I don't ask girls to wear pink hair; they just do it. It's not about black or white; I think it's just a statement. It doesn't matter which color you are; it's just a statement of being fearless."

Precious Paris is now on everyone's radar, but it wasn't always that way. She's put in a lot of hard work and dedicated herself to making her dreams come true. In a new interview with Vibe.com she talks about how she met 50 Cent, working on the T.O.S. project and being so hungry to make it that she went to the studio to record just hours after her mother's funeral.

VIBE: Let’s start at the very beginning. Where did you meet Fif, how did y’all link up?
Precious Paris: Well I was working with producers Midi Maffia and Dangerous LLC who happened to be producing for him at the time. They did ‘Amusement Park’ and ’21 Questions.” They got into 50 my demo and he called me to the office like a week later. So he was my first meeting. I was sitting in his office, scared to death ! That was my first meeting.

Did he call you personally?
No, he called my producers and said ‘let me see what she looks like because she sounds like she looks like a man.’ [Laughs] and so when I walked into his office he was like ‘you are a girl.!’ (Laughs) But you know it was my first meeting and it went straight to the top after that.

So initially Did Fif want to sign you on the spot?
He did not sign me right away, however I did not let that get me down, I stayed in the studio even the times when I didn’t hear from him anymore. Something in the back of my head always told me that I would eventually be going to be G-Unit’s first lady. I prayed on it and then one day out the blue he gave me a call.

After that first meeting how much time went by before you heard from him again?
It was a few years later but in the meantime he would call me to do little freelance stuff,  like the hook on TOS. I didn’t get credit and I did another song with him and LL Cool J “Heartbeat.” I sang the hook on that. Yeah, I sing !

Is that really how 50 is?
You never know when with 50. He’s very spontaneous. That’s one thing about 50 even to this day. So I’m always on point because I don’t know when I will get a call and have to do something so I’m always ready.

So what was it like he finally called you and said ‘I’m ready to make this official.'
Well after I got up off my knees from praying and thanking who I know is really responsible for that, I just went right to work. I didn’t even think twice about it or get too hype about it and I’m still not hype to this day. The only thing I want to do is work, work and work like when I leave here. I mean I think he respects me because I buried my mother about a month ago and as soon as I buried my mother, that same night I was in the studio and he happened to just pop up at the studio and saw me. I think he was a little shocked to see me.

And did he know what happened?
Of course, he sent flowers. Everyone knew that my mother had just passed. He sent flowers to the funeral but I was at the studio that same night.

Did you feel like he looked at you kind of different from that point?
I did. He gave me a hug that I felt, I just felt the hug. I felt the sorrow but I also felt the appreciation for my hunger from my boss.

With her debut mixtape From Paris with Love dropping yesterday, Precious Paris stopped by MTV's studios with DJ Whoo Kid to chop it up with Sway.

One of the requirements when you visit the show is you have to spit a freestyle and Paris killed it. The Queens MC dropped two at Sway's request.

When Yung Berg's name comes up a lot of people remember him for things outside of music, but as he told us in a recent interview he's quietly becoming a force to be reckoned with as both a writer and producer.

Mikey T The Movie Star recently caught up with Berg who revealed that he's got some interesting projects coming up.

The 25-year old Chicago native has been in the studio with Diddy's new artist Los.

"We cooked up a joint, it's crazy. It's called 'Love It,'" Berg said. "It's Los, me, [Ray J] and Fred The Godson and it's crazy. I'm on there doing my little Diddy ad-libs for the boy Los on that joint that's produced by the homie Arch The Boss. YFM that's what we do all day."

Berg goes on to talk about how he linked up with Los and future projects in the rest of the interview. Check that out below.

A Young Jeezy concert in Orlando was ruined Sunday [February 26] when unruly fans got out of control.

TMZ is reporting that Jeezy's concert at the BB King Blues Club came to a screeching halt when fans who had been asked to move back from the stage started throwing drinks towards it instead.

At one point Jeezy can be heard telling the crowd, "I aint going no motherf*cking where!" But by that point drinks were flying back and forth from the stage and crowd. Eventually the show had to be shut down and Jeezy bounced before somebody got seriously hurt.

Peep the footage below.

The story regarding Max-B's appeal just took a strange, but fortunate turn for friends, family and fans of the rapper

As we reported yesterday, DJ Next, the CEO of Max's record label Amalgam Digital, tweeted that the rapper's appeal had been denied and he would not be eligible for parole until 2042.

12349231264?profile=original

We're happy to report that there was a miscommunication which resulted in that information being incorrect.

Max B's good friend French Montana spoke with him tonight [February 29] and says that his appeal hearing has not happened yet.

12349231696?profile=original

DJ Next also took to Twitter to address the situation, and to relay a personal message from Max to his fans.

"I just got off the phone w/@MaxBiggavelli & his mom. Apparently all the blog & tweet rumors yesterday are false. The official word is April," Next wrote. "I should've known better than to believe all the bullsh*t. Seems to be a trend in my life lately. We will have the official word on @MaxBiggavelli appeal in April and Max asked me to relay the following message on twitter."

The direct message from Max is: "This was just a test from God. A battle cry..a call to arms. Im bullet proof. And I'm coming out on my grown man sh*t" - @MaxBiggavelli.

So there you have it. Max still has a shot at being released on appeal in April.

Shout out to Mikey T The Movie Star @MTMovieStar for the heads up.

Two of the hardest working rappers down south have decided to join forces.

T.I.'s Grand Hustle imprint has linked with Trae Tha Truth's ABN label tov form a joint venture.

"We're gonna work alongside each other for a common goal and release this Trae tha Truth project," T.I. told MTV regarding the deal. "When cats [who are] cut from a certain cloth give their word and shake their hand, that's what makes it a done deal — the ink is just a formality."

Trae has been doing big things independently, but this is a great look for him.

"Me and Tip are similar in a lot of ways. We both understand what it is," Trae said. "The thing that kinda made me way more comfortable is he reached out more on a partner note to where it wasn't about money, it wasn't about none of that. It was about, 'Look, we can team up or even if you doin' your own thing, I'm just supporting what you got goin', I want to see you make it.'"

Sheek Louch and Ghostface Killah have dropped a couple of joints previously as they get ready to release their Wu Block joint album. This one is especially nice as they take turns over classic Wu Tang Clan and The Lox tracks.

Sheek is first up to bat and spits over "Wu-Tang Clan Ain't Nuthing ta F*ck Wit." He takes a jab at Common and Drake for the way their "beef" fizzled out without anything really going down on wax.

Next up is Ghostface, who picks the perfect beat in the DJ Premier produced Lox classic "Recognize."

Video After The Jump

Iggy Azalea has literally come a long way. From being a fan of hip hop in her native Australia to moving to America, signing a record deal with Interscope and becoming the first female to land on XXL's Freshman Class cover.

It doesn't happen often, but she occasionally meets a rapper and finds herself having a "fan" moment. The last time it happened was when she met 50 Cent in the offices of Interscope recently. She recalled the moment in an interview with GoodFellaRadio.

"I didn't think I would honestly [have a fan moment, but as a teenager you gotta think like 2003 was probably one of 50 Cent's biggest years and I saw him in concert. That was the first rap concert I ever went to," she said. "I've never really fanned out before. I'll always see people that I love and be like, 'I respect you music and I'm a fan.' But it's never like 'ahhhhh' But I was like 'It's 50 Cent, holy sh*t I've gotta say something. I'm gonna tell him!' Because that was my first ever experience that I felt like 'Oh this is hip hop in my face, not on a screen.' And it was 50 Cent. And it was cool. It was 50 Cent."

Iggy goes on to talk about women being able to express themselves sexually in music, signing with Interscope, Whitney Houston's death. She also expresses an interest in wanting to work with Missy Elliot and Ester Dean.
