As a raging 5-alarm fire engulfed a Houston apartment complex on Tuesday, March 25, one construction worker was stuck on the top floor of the 5-story building. As the unidentified man stood on a balcony, flames were getting closer. He made the decision to drop down to the balcony below him.
A ladder truck moved quickly to get in position to save him. HFD Senior Captain Hawthorne was at the top of the ladder and was able to make a dramatic rescue. What happened next showed just how close this was to becoming a disaster as the roof collapsed just seconds after the ladder truck pulled away from the building.
"You just try and get to him," said Hawthorne. "And then, you don't want him to jump too soon. He waited until we got the ladder truck close enough. He just said, 'Thank you Jesus.' He was ecstatic."
The rescue was filmed from a neighboring building by Karen Jones.
"When we saw his foot slip, it was just like uhhh, oh God he's going to fall. We thought he was going to be gone," Jones said. "I hope that wherever he is, he's thanking God that he made it off there, and he's home with his family now."
Firefighters are still investigating the cause of the blaze.

Sean Combs has changed his name back to Puff Daddy. After rocking with the Diddy moniker since 2005, the Bad Boy Records mogul decided to go back to something familiar.
The change is in conjunction with the forthcoming release of his new album entitled MMM. No release date information for the album has been revealed, but the first single is called "Big Homie." The music video for it has been shot and will drop on Monday, March 31.

Alleged victim
31-year old actor Columbus Short beat the breaks off of a man who insulted him and is now under criminal investigation by the LAPD.
Short, known for his roles in Scandal, Stomp the Yard, Death at a Funeral and Quarantine, got into an argument with an unidentified man Gabe's Bar and Grill in L.A. on March 15
Things got violent when the man told Short: "You might be richer than me but I get my girls to buy me everything I want including your wife," according to TMZ.
Columbus Short
Short allegedly punched the 37-year old victim in the face, knocking him to the ground. Short continued to beat the man until he "looked dead." The actor then fled the scene.
A neck brace was placed on the victim before paramedics wheeled him out on a stretcher.
Both men were at the bar attending an engagement party.

**UPDATE** March 26
An arrest warrant has been issued for felony aggravated battery has been issued for Columbus Short. Once he is in custody his bond will be set at $50,000, according to TMZ.
If convicted, Short could be facing up to four years in prison.

Ralphie Blackmon of Revolt TV got the chance to speak with the G-Unit mogul to gain further insight into the project.
On what separates Animal Ambition from past albums
This project, I wanted to do something that was different. A lot of Get Rich, I had my whole journey to put on one piece. And I had things that were a part of my efforts prior to that, that helped develop the concept of it would be— like from Power of a Dollar to Get Rich Or Die Tryin’. Trying to find something that would match theme wise, that was consistent with that energy but more diverse that would match with where I’m at right now, I looked at prosperity because I felt like it would match all the successful moments that I’ve had since then and also allow me to give you a perception of what it’s been like from my perspective without being in it first-person all the time.
On the songs Hold On and Don't Worry Bout It
Even the minister that preaches prosperity has the larger congregation. So when I get into the effects of prosperity, at the same time in the environment where the price of life is cheap and show too much success too fast, it actually hurts you and that’s what 'Hold On' was about. When I did ‘Don’t worry about how I get my money, just know that I get my money’ on 'Don’t Worry About It,' it’s like the music that directs directly to prosperity and the feelings connected to how other people respond to it. That’s why those two came out first. One was displaying how it could actually ignite that energy, from other people watching you progress and the other one would be how that person feels while they’re watching.

Nick Cannon is a jack of all trades. He's an actor, radio personality, television host, rapper and a comedian. In an effort to promote his forthcoming album entitled White People Party Music, Nick has introduced a whiteface alter ego named Connor Smallnut.
"It's official... I'm White!!! #WHITEPEOPLEPARTYMUSIC#Wppm in stores April 1st!!!!!!" he wrote on a photo of his character on Instagram.
However, not everyone is laughing. Some are accusing Nick of being racist. Comparing his whiteface persona to blackface characters of years past that have been universally condemned as being offensive to African Americans.
The Wild N' Out host isn't letting the controversy get him down or stop his promotion of the album which drops April 1.
