Back in November 2012 Gucci Mane issued a challenge on Twitter to fight anyone who was interested.

"I'm challenging any rapper friend or foe in the ring to a boxing match. Put yo money up. Who got hands not raps. Who wants the challenge," Gucci tweeted at the time. "All Deez Pussy ass rappers -- The proceeds from the ring will go to charities. You scary ass Rappers."

It wasn't long before The Game took him up on the offer. The fight never materialized, but Gucci apparently recorded  a diss record as an answer back.

Take a listen to "The Definition" up top. Produced by Zaytoven. Gucci's Trap House 4 project drops on the 4th of July.

Via Revolt TV

It wasn’t only for one night after all.

With just one performance at Hot 97’s Summer Jam, 50 Cent quickly became the face of New York all over again. Not that he wasn’t ever a well-known figure for the Big Apple, but over these last couple of years—let’s be honest—he was essentially just a passing figure in the wind, with his big-time business and film ventures overshadowing his presence as an artist. But that was the past, and this is the present.

In the current moment, we’re now witnessing the long-overdue career resuscitation of the man who brought the crown back to the East with just a mixtape (50 Cent Is the Future) and an album (Get Rich Or Die Tryin’). While it’s clear he may not have quite the grasp he had on the game 10 years ago it appears now that his main focus is on the fans and renovating that foundation he first laid prior to GRODT.

50 Cent Joins Forces With Nas, Reconnects With G-Unit At Hot 97’s Summer Jam

We witnessed this on Sunday, when he not only made peace with Nas, but also united with fellow New Yorker Fabolous, and of course—perhaps the bigger story—reunited with his revered G-Unit faction. Then on Monday, after becoming the talk of the town for what took place on that Summer Jam stage 24 hours prior, all of a sudden it felt like 2003 again as he and the mighty Unit of Tony Yayo, Lloyd Banks and Young Buck went back to jacking rappers' tracks again.

Within the past two days,  they’ve stuck up Hit Boy for “Grinding My Whole Life” and Drake for “0 to 100.”

And if that wasn’t enough, after telling REVOLT on Monday that he and the crew were indeed back in the studio working on new material, Fif spilled the beans on plans for the newly-reformed Unit: “Yes. You’ll see an album by late November.”

50 Cent Opens Up About G-Unit Reunion, 'Power,' & New Album

You can say this was all masterminded by the G-Unit General years ago, but, whether he admits it or not, this may all be a sign of the reality check he got after leaving Interscope for his new independent deal with Capitol Music Group.

While the move was a solid one, considering his not-so-good rapport with now-former Interscope head Jimmy Iovine, even as he explained to us a few months ago the music game now is much different than it was when his sophomore album opened to 1.14 million copies sold its first week. In fact, that’s the reason why he chose a new release strategy with Animal Ambition, which found him unveiling practically the whole album online over a weekly series that also came paired with music videos.

50 Cent & G-Unit Reignite Ja Rule Feud, Perform 'I Smell P-ssy' At Summer Jam

“This project, I wanted to do something that was different,” he told REVOLT about the strategy surrounding his new project, and now that it’s released, it appears that quote has now grown into 50’s new mantra when it comes to the music. Earlier this year, he did something that was different by burying the hatchet with Fat Joe. He did something that was different by inking that indie deal. He did something that was different by collaborating with Fabolous. And now, that mantra has surfaced with the new G-Unit movement and album plans—it’s all something different for Fif. And lucky for us, it's all something we all can look forward to.

With plans for new G-Unit album as well as his own Street King Immortal LP on the way, we could all be in the midst of the calm before 50’s 2014 storm. It’s all very exciting.

We've seen this scenario play out many times before. Promoter books artist for appearance,.. an argument over certain details occurs... artist wants payment... promoter refuses... violence erupts.

That's reportedly what happened when Sean Kingston was contracted to host and perform at Avalon in Hollywood on Wednesday, June 4.

According to TMZ, Kingston was paid half of his $11,000 fee up front. The promoter became angry because the singer showed up 3 hours late and failed to adequately promote his appearance beforehand.

12350873473?profile=original

When Kingston demanded the other half of his fee the promoter balked. Kingston then allegedly ordered his security team and 4-5 friends who came with him to pin the promoter against a wall.

Several thousand dollars, a watch and an iPhone were stolen.

Police were called to the scene. They acknowledge the victim named Kingston as the person who ordered the attack, but the singer isn't listed in the police report.

Cops questioned the bodyguards, who denied any wrongdoing. The watch and iPhone were eventually found at the venue, but not the money.

No arrests have been made.
