If you’ve ever worried about what your child is posting on Twitter, be thankful your last name isn’t Jordan. Norm Clarke of the Las Vegas Review-Journal is reporting that the Nevada Gaming Control Board is investigating Marcus Jordan, the underage son of hoops legend Michael Jordan, for tweets he made about a wild night at a Vegas nightclub. Marcus, a 19-year-old sophomore guard for Central Florida, tweeted that he spent $35,000 in one evening at Haze, a nightclub at the Aria Hotel and Casino.

Marcus was in town for his father’s fantasy camp. He spoke for the first time about the tweet (which was later removed from his Twitter account), telling FOXSports.com senior college basketball writer Jeff Goodman on Wednesday that he made a “mistake.” "I didn’t mean it the way it came across,” Marcus Jordan said then. "My family and friends know the type of person I am.” However, the tweet did prompt a phone call from both Michael Jordan and his ex-wife, Juanita. "I had conversations with both my parents,” Marcus added. As for his allowance? "I’m still good,” he laughed. Clarke tweeted on Friday that “The Nevada Gaming Control Board just confirmed to me it was contacted by MGM International RE Michael jordan's underage son.”

He continued in a later post: “Board member Randall Sayre said MGM Intl is in the early stages of an inquiry to see ‘where the system broke down.’” Source: MSNFoxSports twitter-5d.gif

During the course of the traffic stop, police conducted a search and found an undisclosed amount of cocaine in Hilton's purse. An officer indicated to 8NewsNOW that a possible odor of marijuana was initially detected, requiring further interaction with police. Hilton was charged with possession of a controlled substance. A clerk at the Clark County Detention Center indicated early Saturday morning that Hilton "had been booked and released." Further details were not available from the jail. A Metro watch commander also said the male driver was arrested for DUI-Drugs. He declined to identify the driver. Less than a week before the start of his Home and Home tour series with Jay-Z, Eminem is staying tight-lipped about his plans for the stadium shows, which commence Sept. 2-3 at Detroit's Comerica Park before switching to New York's Yankee Stadium on Sept. 13-14. "I don't want to get into it too much," Eminem tells Billboard.com. "I don't want to give anything away. But...I think it'll be good. He does, however, allow that his song selection "will probably be all over the place" rather than concentrating on "Recovery," his double-platinum latest album that's still sitting atop the Billboard 200. "Hopefully it'll be songs that everyone is familiar with." Eminem -- who will be performing with a nine-piece band that includes hype man Denaun Porter of D12, DJ Alchemist and "Lose Yourself" co-writer Luis Resto on keyboards -- adds that he "won't even allude to" possible guest appearances at the show, even though rumors have everyone from Rihanna, his duet partner on the current Hot 100 No. 1 "Love the Way You Lie." to Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre and Drake making the scene in some way or another at the shows. Nor would he say if he and Jay-Z are planning to do anything together, although he promises there won't be any kind of battle attitude between them. "Nah, I don't think it'll be anything like a competition," Eminem says. "For the most part me and Jay just want people to come out and have a good time. We want them to enjoy the music." Eminem is also slated to perform at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sept. 12 in Los Angeles and has another concert lined up for the Epicenter Festival on Sept. 25 in Fontana, Calif. Plans for other shows and even a tour, however, remain up in the air. "I'm taking everything as it comes...a step at a time and seeing what the next thing's going to be," Eminem explains. "I haven't really planned too far ahead as far as what I'm going to do next or whatever, so we'll see." It has been determined, however, that "Recovery's" next single will be "No Love," his Just Blaze-produced collaboration with Lil Wayne. "I did a song with Wayne called 'Drop the World' for his ['Rebirth'] album," Eminem notes, "and we had just agreed to do an even swap, so I wanted him on my album. I kind of waited, and when Just Blaze had finished that beat we jumped on it." Even though "Recovery" is continuing its dominance with no signs of letting up (it's been No. 1 for seven non-consecutive weeks), Eminem is also looking towards his next recording project. Though he says there are 25-30 tracks he completed in addition to the 17 that made the album, Eminem is also "in the studio probably about five days a week. I'm always working. I don't have any plans as far as when I would put another album out or anything like that. I just make music and always like to write just to stay mentally on my game." He also says he would "definitely like to get back into" acting eight years after his star turn in "8 Mile," and though producers of the new ABC police drama "Detroit 1-8-7" have made some public overtures towards him, there are no commitments to anything yet. "As busy as I am with the music and recording albums and things like that, I've kind of taken an obviously long break from" acting, he says. "If there's a role, something that actually hits me that I feel like, 'Yo, I've got to do this, this is crazy,' then I'll do it. But I haven't had any scripts or anything sent my way that feel like that yet." Eminem, Porter and Alchemist were judges for the final round of the Red Bull EmSee: The Road to 8 Mile national rap competition, held Thursday night at Detroit's St. Andrews Hall. The winner, an 18-year-old Detroit MC named FowL, will get the chance to record with at Red Bull Studios in Santa Monica, Calif., with "a headlining producer" who has not been specified. Audio After The Jump POW-TV has been conducting interviews with B. Pumper over the last several days. They got into his business mind about his goal of signing with G-Unit. Today, the topics switched to two other things people can't stop talking about. Why does Pumper wear so much ice and what did he think of Montana Fishburne's spotted "leopard booty." Addressing the ice Pumper had this to say: "Honestly, that's just like a part of my image. I mean I could switch it up, throw the 3-piece suit on. But that's just me. As a rapper it depends, some rappers mature out of the flashy, shiny pieces. They might just wear one watch or no jewelry at all, certain rappers are doing that. But if you look at Plies, Lil Wayne, Birdman. These n*ggas stuntin hard, flossin," he explained. "Who knows, I might switch it up, I never know. Right now I like it because I'm buff." Ok, so what about the spots on Montana's a**? "She told me before I even came to the set, she says 'I'm gonna let you know right now, so you don't think anything weird. I've got these spots on my butt and it's not an outbreak, I'm not sick, nothing like that. I've had them ever since I was little, they're beauty marks,' " Pumper says he didn't get to see them until she got to the actual shoot, but after her explanation, he was cool with it. "If I worried about that, I wouldn't have hit the jackpot and get a big time celebrity daughter in my flick." twitter-5d.gif

Whoopi Goldberg has been forced to end her run in the London production of Sister Act early after her mother had a stroke. The actress, 54, flew back to the U.S. today after learning of her elderly mother Emma Johnson's condition. Goldberg had been playing the Mother Superior since August 10 at the London Palladium and scheduled to complete her run next Tuesday. Cut short: Whoopi Goldberg, pictured on her first night as Mother Superior, has left the London production of Sister Act The show's producers said: 'Ms Goldberg is very sorry not to be able to perform as planned and the thoughts and sincere best wishes of the producers and the entire Sister Act company are with her at this difficult time.' An understudy will now step in for Ms Goldberg until new Mother Superior Sally Dexter takes over next week. Producers advised ticketholders who do not wish to see the production without Goldberg to contact their point of purchase. After playing singer Deloris Van Cartier in the original 1992 film and its sequel, Goldberg decided she was too old to reprise the role for the West End and instead took on the role of Mother Superior. The Oscar winner sent Sister Act box office sales through the roof when she revealed she would be taking the role for just three weeks earlier this summer. Ms Goldberg ended up with the role accidentally during a meeting with her fellow producers of the stage production to find a replacement for outgoing Mother Superior Sheila Hancock. To give producers more time to find a new Mother Superior, Goldberg jokingly suggested she take on the role for a few weeks and they agreed. Hancock had starred in the production since it opened last June, but had to leave for contractual reasons, leaving producers in need of a suitably matriarchal replacement. Daily Mail twitter-5d.gif

While the police have seemingly given up on solving the murder of rapper/actor/poet, Tupac Shakur, fans and certain members of the media continue to look for clues. Tupac died September 13, 1996 in Las Vegas at the age of 25 from gunshot wounds sustained six days earlier. That is pretty much the only thing everyone can agree on. A new movie coming out about the man who has had more albums released since his death (8), than when he was alive (6) will focus on his last day of life, with flashbacks to the final four years leading up to it. Trying to shed light on why he was killed. Stephen J. Rivele is one of two screenwriters hired to write the film. He spoke to Vulture about the direction the project would be taking. "This is the story of an artist whose character is at odds with his medium. He was a really sensitive, very romantic, talented young poet who also could sing, dance, and act. But the realities [of the hip-hop record business] were that he had to create this persona of the gangster," Rivele says. "He was obviously very angry, and had been subjected to a great deal of violence at home, in the streets and in prison. But he was just beginning to shed that anger and look for a purer voice...He was in the process of changing himself, and entering a new phase of his life — essentially a Romantic vision — and had set up a new label, and a new production company to create it. He saw the contradiction between the musical persona of 'Thug Life,' and his essential nature as a gentle, sensitive person. And that was partly responsible for his murder: He was not a gangster, but the people around him were. They saw he was going to leave, that they were going to lose him, and so I think they decided to kill him." The movie is expected to begin production in November, and will be directed by Antoine Fuqua, who also directed 'Training Day.' twitter-5d.gif

DALLAS — Getting a boxing license for Antonio Margarito in Texas proved much easier than it did in California and Nevada. All it took was a $20 application fee and a clean bill of health from a doctor. No pesky hearing with state-appointed commissioners badgering him about the loaded gloves he was going to enter the ring with against Shane Mosley at the Staples Center in January 2009. Margarito was licensed by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation on Thursday, eight days after the California State Athletic Commission, which revoked his license in February 2009, held a five-hour public hearing before turning him down. Nevada refused to license Margarito earlier this summer, requesting instead he return to California for the Aug. 18 hearing in Los Angeles. The granting of a Texas license for Margarito means that as soon as Top Rank promoter Bob Arum and Cowboys owner Jerry Jones get together to iron out some minute details, an official announcement will come of a Margarito-Manny Pacquiao WBC 154-pound world title fight at Cowboys Stadium on Nov. 13. "We have been sitting on pins and needles waiting for approval" said Todd DuBoef, president of Top Rank, which promotes Margarito and Pacquiao. "We are relieved Texas did its due diligence and approved the licensing." DuBoef said Top Rank and Jones have an agreement in principle to stage what would be the second major card at Cowboys Stadium. A Pacquiao-Joshua Clottey bout in March attracted 50,994 fans with The Philippines’ Pacquiao, considered the best pound-for-pound boxer in the world, the lone drawing card. It was a listless fight with Clottey, who is from Ghana, content to go the 12-round distance in losing by unanimous decision. Citing the popularity of Tijuana’s Margarito with Hispanic fans, Arum has estimated that a Pacquiao-Margarito bout could draw a crowd of 70,000. "We had everything in place, so we can pick it back up," Jones told reporters at Cowboys training camp before the news was officially announced. HBO is planning to televise the fight for the vacant title on pay-per-view. Margarito is 38-6 with 27 knockouts. Pacquiao, who holds the WBO 147-pound world title, is 51-3 with 38 knockouts. He hopes to win a title in his sixth weight class against Margarito. The news of Texas’ decision to license Margarito came via a press release from William Kuntz, executive director of the Austin-based state’s licensing and regulation department. "After a thorough review of his application it was determined Mr. Margarito met the requirements of the Texas Combative Sports Act and Rules," Kuntz said in the release. A department spokesperson said Kuntz would not be available for further comment until Friday. California revoked Margarito’s license several weeks after he lost his WBA 147-pound world title via technical knockout to Mosley. Before Margarito entered the ring, a Mosley corner man asked that Margarito’s hand wraps be inspected. They were found to contain an illegal plaster-coated substance. The substance was removed, and his hands were re-wrapped. At last week’s California hearing, Margarito repeatedly denied knowing that the substance had been inserted. Legendary party-rocker DJ Jazzy Jeff was stopped mid-performance in Las Vegas Wednesday night (August 25) while DJing a charity event in honor of his former partner, the late DJ AM. According to reports, the management at Surrender nightclub were "unhappy" with the musical selections Jeff was playing and made the decision to pull him mid-set. Jeff later tweeted about the incident, saying "Funny when people r having a good time but management isn't..can u say...The Right Party at the Wrong Place...F--- it...AM Lives."

Known for being both one of the most universally respected and beloved DJ's, Jeff was donating his time in honor of his late friend, who held a DJing residency at Rain nightclub in Vegas prior to his death. Unfortunately this is not the first time that Jeff has been forcibly removed from the stage while DJing. Jeff was similarly disrespected during the Kansas City stop on the Bacardi B-Live tour in June of 2009 when event organizers complained about his hype man Skillz' alleged usage of "gang signs" while Jeff played Biz Markie's unrequited love anthem "Just a Friend." Jeff has yet to comment about the incident (beyond his tweet). Source: BoomBox twitter-5d.gif

Video After The Jump CINCINNATI -- If you can't get enough Chad Ochocinco items, here comes another one: the wide receiver's own cereal. "Ochocinco's" will go on sale Sept. 7 at Kroger stores in Cincinnnati and Dayton and online at PLBSports.com. PLB Sports is known for selling all sorts of player-themed items, including Flutie Flakes and Big Ben Beef Jerky. The box of cereal will cost $3. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Feed the Children. The company hopes to sell 100,000 boxes. “Chad is a great personality, and with his involvement in social media and his interaction with the fans, he was an athlete that we were very excited to work with,” said PLB Sports President Ty Ballou in a news release. “One way or another, America has learned and is continuing to learn more about Chad Ochocinco off the field, and they’re finding out how great he is. Who wouldn’t want to share a breakfast table with him?” Apparently, the Bengals don't. WLWT caught up with head coach Marvin Lewis Wednesday as the team practiced for Friday night's preseason game against the Buffalo Bills. "No, it won't be on the Bengals training table," Lewis said. "You can quote me on that one." Offensive lineman Bobbie Williams added, "I got to talk to him. Right now, I'm booing it, 'cause he hasn't given us any free samples, so I'm booing it." Fans were a bit more receptive, even if they weren't particularly surprised by the news. "It's right up his alley, I think -- it's Chad doing something different," Katie Haigis said. "I think Chad's hot right now, so he may as well make hay while the sun is shining," Edith Mariani said. "He's doing well for himself." PLB Sports previously sold cereal named after Ochocinco's new teammate Terrell Owens. About 63,000 boxes of "TO's" were sold in Buffalo when he played there last year. Back in 2000, PLB Sports came out with Team of Dreams cereal honoring the 25th anniversary of the 1975 Big Red Machine world title. That box featured Tony Perez, Johnny Bench, Pete Rose and Joe Morgan. Source: WLWT twitter-5d.gif

Nicki Minaj has been the subject of a lot of rumors in her short career. Has she had plastic surgery? Did she date Lil Wayne? Is she really bi-sexual? Is Diddy her manager and are the two of them involved romantically? While she didn't clear up all speculation, the Young Money femcee did set the record straight on a couple of those topics. In a recent interview with CNN, Nicki was asked about those Diddy rumors. "You know how you look at your older brother? That's how I look at Diddy. When people say that, it makes me gag. He's my friend, and he's sweet and he's a great guy, but I could never see him that way," she said. The article states that for the record, Diddy is not her manager. Nicki also had a something to say about people that constantly put down her abilities as a rapper. "The people that are inclined to hate are also inclined to be losers. A loser could never congratulate a winner - it's not in them" she says. twitter-5d.gif
