For several months now there has been growing speculation that Havoc and Prodigy of Mobb Deep are having issues. Back in April, The Breakfast Club leaked an alleged taped conversation of Havoc saying Prodigy had engaged in homosexual activities while incarcerated. Havoc denied it was him on the tape and attempted to dead the rumors he was beefing with P.
More recently a video surfaced online of Havoc's cousin, Ferg Brim, on the phone reportedly talking to Prodigy, confronting him about P telling the police that Ferg would be shooting up Mobb Deep shows.
Then yesterday Havoc released a new music video for "Same Sh*t Different Day" where it sounds like he is dissing Prodigy.
"N*ggas out here dry snitching writing books, lying out they ass just to sell a book," raps Hav in the song.
N.O.R.E. of Capone-N-Noreaga called into Invasion Radio this week and was asked to speak on the problems he sees within Mobb Deep. He said that in his opinion it all stems from Prodigy's book "My Infamous Life: The Autobiography of Mobb Deep's Prodigy." And the fact that it mentions Havoc's deceased brother.
"In my opinion the reason why Havoc is going crazy is because of the fact that Prodigy did bring up his brother," N.O.R.E. said. "I think that Havoc was chilling, he was sober, he was relaxed in the cut, and when this book came out [Prodigy] brung up so many past stories and dead skeletons that's in the closet that he actually broke up his own group."

Hat's off to him. Hat's off to anybody that's comfortable with themselves. That's much better than 99% of these people that are running around pretending to be somebody they're not."
Royce Da 5'9 echoed Joey's sentiments.
"A huge part of the industry is insecure," said Royce. "I embrace integrity, definitely. I think it's awesome... I think a lot of other artists should just take a page out of his book and be themselves."

The battle between Meek Mill and Philadelphia pastor Jomo K. Johnson reached a boiling point today when the two had a heated argument on Philadelphia radio station 107.9 over the song "Amen." As we reported last month, Johnson has called for a boycott of the rapper over the song, which he calls blasphemous.
Since last month Johnson has given interviews to various websites criticizing Meek, put out a diss song and even published a book called "No Amen: Why Boycotting Meek Mill Will Help Save Hip Hop."
"As a Hip Hop fan, I want to encourage every rap fan in Philadelphia who is a believer in Jesus Christ, to boycott Meek Mill until he acknowledges this blatant disrespect," Johnson wrote on his blog last month.
Earlier today both Meek and Johnson called into 107.9 to talk about the dispute. Radio personality QDeezy attempted to mediate the conversation, but it quickly went downhill.
Meek accused Johnson of seeking fame and attention instead of trying to resolve the issue.
"From my understanding it's looking like you're trying to get famous or you need some attention because you could have came to me and said anything you wanted to say," Meek said "I might have helped you. If you wanted some money for your church or whatever I might have gave you that money. Or I might have remixed the song with Kirk Franklin or anything you wanted to do. But you went about it like you're looking for attention and fame."
That's about as calm as the conversation got. Johnson proceeded to tell Meek that he needed to accept the word of Jesus Christ and repent. Warning him that without doing that no amount of money would save him in the end.
Meek became angry and responded by telling the pastor that he has done a lot for the community in terms of giving back and never has seen him out in the streets doing the same.
Johnson later accused Meek of rapping about raping women in one of his songs.
"You say in your songs that you will rape a woman," Johnson says. "Every year in Philadelphia 1600 rapes occur. And therefore when young men and young women hear your music and they say 'Meek says it's ok to rape a woman.' Is that OK? That's wrong!"
Meek challenged Johnson to recite lyrics in any of his songs where he talked about raping a woman. Johnson couldn't recall the lyrics, but he said they could be found on Google.

Soulja Boy and 50 Cent might be going into business together according to a new XXL.com article. The website is reporting that 50 Cent's Cheetah Vision Films could be helping Soulja deliver his much talked 'Juice' remake.
“With the ‘Juice’ movie… 50 Cent, that’s my big bro,” Soulja told XXLMag.com. “He got a movie deal that gave him millions to come up with content. Me and him are going over the Juice movie now. That’s still coming.”
Soulja was referring to 50's 10-film deal with Grindstone/Lionsgate. In 2010, 50's company, Cheetah Vision Films landed a $200 million, 10-picture deal which resulted in movies like 'Freelancers' and 'Setup.' In June 2012, it was announced that the company and Emmet/Furla Films had reached an agreement on another 10 movie deal with Grindstone and Lionsgate.
In April 2011 when the announcement was made that Soulja would be taking on the role of "Bishop" that Tupac Shakur made famous in the 1992 original many fans wondered if the Atlanta rapper could pull it off. Soulja told XXL.com that he would work hard to make sure the remake is done right.
“I know that’s a big thing, I know,” he said. “You can’t just jump right into a movie like that and rush it. It’s a delicate thing, I know. But I got y’all.”
At this point it's unclear how much Cheetah Vision would be involved in the 'Juice' remake, but we'll keep you posted.

Charlamagne responds by asking: "What's up with y'all and these drops man?" At that point one of the men punches him in the head. Charlamagne takes off running and luckily was fast enough to get away as the men gave chase.
When Mac Miller sampled Lord Finesse's 1995 "Hip 2 Da Game" instrumental for his song "Kool Aid & Frozen Pizza" off his 2010 K.I.D.S mixtape he could have never imagined the hot water it would get him into. It's become a fairly common practice for rappers to use music from other artists for freestyles and mixtapes without being sued, but Finesse isn't buying it.
The legendary D.I.T.C. member has filed a $10 million lawsuit against Miller, his record company, Rostrum Records, and the mixtape site, Datpiff.
"This is a case about a teenage rapper- Mac Miller- copying the music from a song written, produced and performed by Lord Finesse, a hip hop legend, changing the title and then distributing it under his own name in order to launch his music career," the complaint states according to Courthouse News Service.
Since it's release in August 2010, Kids has been downloaded more than 450,000 times. And the video for "Kool Aid & Frozen Pizza" has been viewed nearly 24 million times on YouTube, according to the complaint.
Finesse says Miller has profited from the unauthorized use of the song and that he only filed the lawsuit after DatPiff, Rostrum and Miller refused to respond to a cease and desist letter earlier this month.
The $10 million lawsuit "alleges copyright infringement, unfair competition, unjust enrichment, interference, deceptive trade practices, and a number of related state law claims." Finesse also seeks a permanent injunction from the court.
"I'm supposed to be on hush but lemme speak on this real quick," Mac wrote. "Finesse and I spoke on the phone for an hour after he heard the record and cleared the air. We even planned to work on music together. All I wanted to do is shed light on a generation that inspired me. Finesse never cleared the Oscar Peterson sample on the original record. I did nothing wrong. We spoke on the phone had a good conversation, he was cool with the record. It's all love tho. I ain't even mad at dude. He still a legend. When I heard there was a problem, I reached out to him to try and solve it. No response. Lord Finesse, thank you for what u did for hip hop. Thank you for bringing my favorite rapper into the game."
