Michael Vick knows a lot about second chances, so it was fitting he gave his first ever commencement speech at a high school for troubled teens.
The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback's message was clear to the 450 graduating students from Camelot Academy in Philadelphia. "I lost my freedom. I lost my money and I lost my family. All because of irrational decisions and using poor judgement. Think before you speak, think before you act and think before you make decisions in life," Vick told them.
Camelot’s schools are either for over-age students who have fallen at least two grades behind or have dropped out, or for students who have been expelled for behavioral issues from other schools.
Vick surprised two of the students by giving them $5000 scholarships.
"I was blessed and God gave me a second chance, the world gave me a second chance, the city of Philadelphia gave me a second chance," Vick said. "That's what this is all about. These kids had people around who believed in them and knew they could come out of their situations and make it a positive."
As we previously reported. Tracy Morgan got into some hot water over a homophobic rant he went on during a stand up comedy routine recently in Nashville.
Morgan quickly apologized after GLAAD. the Human Rights Campaign and others condemned his actions.
"I want to apologize to my fans and the gay and lesbian community for my choice of words at my recent stand-up act in Nashville," Morgan told Us Weekly. "I'm not a hateful person and don't condone any kind of violence against others."
That apology did little to quell some people's anger, including Morgan's 30 Rock co-star Cheyenne Jackson.
"I am disgusted and appalled by Tracy Morgan's homophobic rant," Jackson said. "The devastating repercussions of hate-filled language manifest in very real ways for today's LGBTQ youth. I've known Tracy for two years, spent many long hours with him on set, and I want to believe that this behavior is not at the core of who he is. I'm incredibly disappointed by his actions, and hope that his apology is sincere."
One person who appeared to have Morgan's back is now distancing himself from the situation. Chris Rock initially tweeted, "I dont know about you, but I dont want to live in world where Tracy Morgan cant say foul inappropriate sh*t"
But just a day later, Rock did a complete reversal.
"Tracy morgan is a tad off we all know that so when tracy says something i usually don't take it anymore serious than i would a statement from gary busey or flavor flav .when i first heard the statement i thought it was offensive but it also reminded me of my father saying ill kill you if you ever bring home a white girl but after reading everything tracy said . wow i get it that sh*t wasn't called for and i don't support it at all. now can i please go to the tony awards without getting my ass kicked."

The recently surfaced video showing Lebron James and Dwayne Wade of the Miami Heat supposedly making fun of Dallas Mavericks player Dirk Nowitski's recent illness drew a quick response from the Dallas player.
Nowitski criticized the two Heat players were not acting their age at the press conference following game 5
"Well I just thought it was a little childish, a little ignorant," Nowitski said. "I've been in this league 13 years and I've never faked an injury or an illness before."
It seems the two sides are playing mind games with each other, but all that matters right now is the final result. So far Dallas is winning 3 games to 2 in the best of 7 series. Which resumes Sunday (6/12/) at 7 P.M. eastern on ABC.

A former San Francisco Bay area transit officer convicted of fatally shooting an unarmed black man is getting released from jail after serving only 11 months of a two-year sentence.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Robert J. Perry ruled yesterday (June 10) that with good-conduct credits and time served, Johannes Mehserle has to be released Monday.
Mehserle shot 22-year old Oscar Grant once in the back as he lay face down on an Oakland train station platform New Years's 2009. Grant was initially pulled off the train for allegedly getting into a fight.
Videotape of the incident, which was caught on camera by train passengers outraged the Oakland community.
Mehserle would later claim at his trial that he mistook his handgun for his taser.
He received two year sentence for involuntary manslaughter after juros ruled that he didn't intend to kill bell, but was negligent in the way he handled the situation.
News of his pending release already has a lot of people upset and protests are already planned in Oakland and Los Angeles.
Oakland Mayor Jean Quan said city officials are ready in case things get out of hand.
“Although we expect peaceful gatherings, we do not anticipate nor will we tolerate vandalism or violence. The Oakland Police Department is prepared to respond if personal safety or property are at risk," Quan said in a statement.

Kim Kardashian has a stunning $2 million dollar engagement ring on her finger courtesy of NBA player Kris Humphries. But there's another gentleman who claims the reality star was getting freaky with him while she should have been spending quality time with Humphries.
Brett Lockett, a player for the NFL's New England Patriots organization maintains that over a five month period, he and Kim K shared an intimate relationship, but did not meet in person. Instead they engaged in sexting and phone sex according to Lockett.
"I've said before that it was a physical relationship, but when I mean physical, I say that meaning there was a physical aspect to the relationship," Lockett told Showbiz Tonight. "I don't really want to get into the details, but she did tell me she was touching herself over the phone in a physical way towards me. So when I say we had a physical relationship, that's what I mean. But was it a physical relationship where I saw her in person, no."
Kim flatly denies the allegations and has threatened to sue Lockett if he doesn't retract his statements.
Kim's lawyer, Michael Kump, told TMZ "To put it very plainly and clearly, and as Mr. Lockett knows, there is not now, and never has been such a relationship. Ms. Kardashian does not know and has never even met Mr. Lockett."
I guess It's a case of he said, she said. Kim is said to be preparing for her wedding so the story obviously didn't damage her relationship with Humphries.
Who do you think is telling the truth?

Fabolous isn't resting on his laurels. Fresh off of dropping the well received project 'The Soul Tape,' Loso is already hard at work on his sixth studio album 'Loso's Way 2: Rise to Power.'
Hot 106 caught up with Funeral Fab backstage at last week's Hot Nite 2011 concert in Providence, and got the information from the man himself.
"That's [the new album] is coming in September -- we're looking to do that around September 13 actually because September 11 was when my first album dropped ten years ago," Fab said. "That was also the tragic day of 9/11, my album dropped that same day. We kind of want to do a ten year anniversary kind of feel."
Fab is currently out on the road touring. You can catch him in Orlando on July 3 with Soulja Boy, and in Chicago July 9 with Young Jeezy and Travis Porter.
