Mistah Fab's beef with DJ Mustard took a violent turn on Sunday, June 8, when Fab slapped the producer and was then jumped by members of Mustard's entourage.
Because Fab is from Oakland and Mustard is from Los Angeles, people wondered if the fight might trigger tensions between the Bay and L.A.
Mustard's right hand man, YG, sat down with MTV News and explained what the beef is about and why there's no problems on either side of California with each other.
"It ain't no hood vs. hood thing." YG said. "I'ma tell you what it is. The Mistah Fab n*gga, he say the homey stole the Bay sound, he say Mustard took the Bay sound, He feel like that, okay, we don’t feel like that, Mustard don’t feel like that. It's some beats I can feel the bounce and all that, but it's not the Bay sound. The Bay is Mac Dre, E-40, Keek Da Sneak. That's the Bay sound. We grew up listening to that."

YG's album My Krazy Life was produced primarily by Mustard.
“I don’t feel like the homey taking a Bay sound, especially my album don’t sound like the Bay,” YG added. “Every time somebody speak on my album they say it remind them of [Snoop Dogg's] Doggystyle, Eazy-E, DJ Quik, it remind them of that. I’m trying to figure out what he’s talking about, because I really don’t know. And we go to the Bay all the time. They're playing all our songs on the radio. Ain't nobody ever said nothing like that to us. [Fab] said that. I don't know if he mad 'cause the homey eating. That's how he feel and I don't feel like that. It ain't no Bay to L.A. beef. It ain't no hood to hood beef."

New G-Unit Album? Sure, Why Not
His latest album, Animal Amibtion, isn’t even a month old and the rap mogul already has plans to “1998 DMX” the rap game with his much anticipated next release, Street King Immortal. On Monday, 50 revealed to Hot 93 in Connecticut that the album would arrive on September 16th. Though details about the long-gestating LP has been discreet, the “Hold On” rapper happened to actually describe the feel of the new record to REVOLT, calling it his most “personal” project.

“Street King Immortal is a more personal project for me,” he says. “I’ve offered some of the pieces [in rhymes] to strengthen up over the way, like ‘coming up I was confused, my momma kissing a girl’ [on “Hate It Or Love It”] and some of those pieces were placed there so if someone had this information then it would already be desensitized.”
Where Animal Ambition was filled with his signature aggressive content, SKI sounds like it’s the real secret weapon of his that will prove he’s better than ever. Either that or the new G-Unit LP.

Last month Meek Mill lost a $400,000 civil rights lawsuit against the Philadelphia Police Department. The rapper said two police officers illegally detained on Halloween 2012, after pulling over his vehicle and claiming they smelled weed.
Meek and his three passengers were detained for a total of 10 hours while a search warrant could be obtained and cops subsequently looked through his vehicle. The searched turned up nothing, but it caused Meek missed a $22,000 private jet flight to Atlanta and a $39,000 appearance fee. The negative press also hurt him during his negotiations with Puma.
Now one of the cops is taking legal action against the rapper. According to TMZ, a lawsuit has been filed by the officer who was fired by the Philadelphia Police Department in an unrelated case.
The former officer claims that his reputation and character were damaged by Meek's allegations making it difficult for him to find a new job. In addition he says he's firing blanks in the bedroom. Alleging the case "had a strong affect on my life and relationship performance with my fiancée."
He's seeking $750,000 in damages.

There are standard fights, then there are grudge matches. Miesha Tate and Ronda Rousey's 2 bouts fall into the latter category.
These two mixed martial arts specialists first met in the Octagon on March 3, 2012, in a Strikeforce match for Tate's batanmweight championship.
Tate lost the match and her belt, but it was the way she lost that stunned fans. Trapped in an armbar she couldn't escape from, Tate refused to tap until Rousey had broken her arm.
The two women would meet again on December 28, 2013. This time Rousey's Bantamweight title was on the line. Tate lost via armbar in the third round. She learned from their previous match and tapped quickly this time.
Tate gave Ronda her toughest fight to date by becoming the first opponent to get out of the first round. Afterwards, Ronda refused to shake her hand.
