Last month Meek Mill lost a $400,000 civil rights lawsuit against the Philadelphia Police Department. The rapper said two police officers illegally detained on Halloween 2012, after pulling over his vehicle and claiming they smelled weed.
Meek and his three passengers were detained for a total of 10 hours while a search warrant could be obtained and cops subsequently looked through his vehicle. The searched turned up nothing, but it caused Meek missed a $22,000 private jet flight to Atlanta and a $39,000 appearance fee. The negative press also hurt him during his negotiations with Puma.
Now one of the cops is taking legal action against the rapper. According to TMZ, a lawsuit has been filed by the officer who was fired by the Philadelphia Police Department in an unrelated case.
The former officer claims that his reputation and character were damaged by Meek's allegations making it difficult for him to find a new job. In addition he says he's firing blanks in the bedroom. Alleging the case "had a strong affect on my life and relationship performance with my fiancée."
He's seeking $750,000 in damages.
