Video After The Jump

Did Canibus forever ruin his legacy during his battle with Dizaster? He may very well have. By this point I'm sure a lot of you have heard about the King Of The Dot PPV rap battle that went down on June 9th between the two spitters. What started out as a fairly competitive battle ended in the third round when Canibus forfeited. He told the crowd that he wasn't a freestyle rapper and that Dizaster had won. He then did the unthinkable by pulling out a notepad full of rhymes he said he had spent weeks working on and requested that he be allowed to spit them.

Check out the full battle below.

Video And Pics After The Jump

Chris Brown has been in touch with the NYPD as they continue to investigate the fight that involved him and members of Drake's camp. According to TMZ, Chris' lawyer Mark Geragos presented physical evidence to prove Drake was involved in the fight and that the Toronto rapper and Meek Mill were the aggressors.

At this point cops are looking at Chris as a victim in the incident and not a suspect.

On the flip side Drake's reps have also been in touch with the police, although it is not known if the rapper has spoken to them directly.

Meanwhile more pics have surfaced of Brown, his bodyguard Big Pat, Drake and Juelz Santana in the club just before the fight began.

One person who was injured during the brawl was an innocent bystander. 24-year old Hollie C. from Australia required 16 stitches to close a wound in her head after a flying bottle hit her. She made a video blaming the incident on "stupid famous people."

"Where's the justice in them driving away in a limo while I had to catch the train home on one of my holidays?" she says in the clip.

At this point it isn't known if she plans to sue, but she probably won't have trouble finding a lawyer if she does.

Video After The Jump

Twenty years after The Dream Team dominated unlike any other sports team in Olympic history, NBA TV's behind the scenes look at the squad brought back many moments of nostalgia.

Nearly two months after Ray Allen and Dwyane Wadetalked about Olympians being compensated (via ESPN), and four years after the 2008 Olympic team was actually compared by some to the 1992 team, the documentary made it clear that there has been and will likely only be one Dream Team. It also made clear how playing for the US Olympic team meant a lot to each of the players and how it should mean a lot to all players in today's NBA.

The documentary entitled The Dream Team, narrated by Edward Burns, began by looking at the history of Olympic basketball, including how the Soviet Union team won the gold in 1972 and 1988 just when it seemed like the Americans'amateur players were good enough to win the gold every year.

In fact, were it not for FIBA and the NBA getting together to change the rules to allow NBA players to play on the Olympic team, there would be no dream team.

It then detailed how each player made their decision to join the Olympic squad, as 11 future Hall-of-Famers and one of the NCAA's most well-known players, Christian Laettner, made up the roster. One story that was addressed very quickly was that of Isiah Thomas not being selected on the team thanks to a rocky relationship between Thomas and Michael Jordan.

That being said, there were many other rivalries and story-lines that dominated this team. Magic Johnson was retired from the NBA after contracting the HIV virus, while Larry Bird couldn't play in four of seven Eastern Conference semifinal games against the Cleveland Cavaliers leading up to the Olympics due to chronic back issues.

This meant that both individuals of arguably the biggest player rivalry of the 1980s was ending, as both were teammates on maybe the greatest team ever assembled.

Meanwhile, after two consecutive titles, Jordan was ready to officially take over the mantel of the best player in basketball from these two legends. Though Magic and Larry, who were the team's captains, did their best to prevent him to do so in a team-friendly way, even they admitted their reign was over during the Dream Team experience.

Another potential issue was the relationship between Jordan and the late Chuck Daly, who had beaten Jordan for a few years as coach of the Bad Boy Pistons. But this documentary showed that these two became great friends, and the Pistons-Bulls intensity never seemed to come up.

Finally, the battle of the best power forwards in the game happened in practices between Karl Malone and Charles Barkley, but the individual matchups in practice led to healthy competition.

While this team was nicknamed The Dream Team, the Olympians had a lot of issues in practice and in playing the U.S. Select College Team in scrimmages. Humbling experiences let this team know that they always had to play to win, and they learned those lessons after early struggles. This goes to show that not only it wasn't always perfect for the squad, but that all these athletes fed off adversity and competition unlike any Olympic team before and after.

Despite Chuck Daly not being interviewed for this documentary due to his death in 2009, his personality and methods were explained extremely well through player interviews, and even by then assistant coach and current USA coach Mike Krzyzewski. Daly handled massive personalities in Detroit and was the perfect coach to motivate this band of competitors and rivals, who all were about winning.

MJ's physical and mental endurance was so much on full display that interviews of fellow players showed that they were even in awe of not only his basketball ability, but how he conducted himself on a minute-to-minute basis. They were amazed at his stamina.

For young basketball fans, NBA TV's The Dream Team is a great look into Jordan and all of the greats from a generation earlier, as they will grow an appreciation for the type of effort and charisma each of these players showed on a daily basis.

Plus, the documentary makes it clear that The Dream Team changed the game of basketball not just in the NBA, but on a global scale, as international players took pictures and shook hands of NBA players during games. The international growth of the game of basketball led to the influx of foreign players in the NBA.

This documentary of the 1992 Men's Olympic Basketball Team rivals the best of ESPN's 30-for-30 series, including my personal favorites Pony Excess and The Announcement. On a scale of 1-10, NBA TV's The Dream Team was a 9.

Video and Pictures After The Jump

At this point the only thing that seems certain about the events at club W.I.P. last night in New York City is that Chris Brown was injured by someone associated with Drake who used a champagne bottle as a weapon.

Initial reports indicated Drake and Brown got into a heated argument over Rihanna, which resulted in Brown being punched, then hit with a bottle by Drake. However, the Toronto rapper's reps have reached out to TMZ to deny any involvement in the fight that left several people injured including Brown's bodyguard Big Pat,who was hospitalized with a wound to his head.

"Drake did not participate in any wrongdoing of any kind last night at W.i.P. He was on his way out of the club when the altercation began," Drake's rep told TMZ. "[Drake] did not engage in any activity which resulted in injury to person or damage to property.”

The report states that the argument actually took place between Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill, Brown and one of Brown's lieutenants. Mill and Drake were at the club together reportedly.

TMZ's source would not say what the argument was about out of fear that someone would get hurt, but they did say it wasn't about Rihanna. The source says it was Meek who hit Chris with the bottle.

Story still developing...

**UPDATE**

As we continue to try and piece together what happened last night things are becoming a bit clearer. TMZ is reporting that although Drake didn't actually get involved in the fight that broke out among several people including Chris Brown, he instigated the whole thing.

According to the latest report, Drake threw up his middle finger at Brown's entourage and said "I'm about to go whoop that ass!" Brown's crew then threw up their own hand gestures which angered Drake even though he did it first.

At that point Drake got other rappers including Meek Mill and Juelz Santana amped up enough to join him and shouted at Chris  "You be on that ho sh*t on Twitter n*gga" Drake was apparently referring to shots he, Meek and Chris have exchanged on Twitter over Rihanna.

After that Chris' bodyguard's stepped up between the two groups and there was some pushing and shoving before bottles started to fly.

As we mentioned above several people were injured from the flying bottles and broken glass. A 24-year old female Australian tourist by the name of Hollie C. was at the cub with friends and ended up in the hospital with a gash to her head that required 16 stitches to close.

"Within a few moments of noticing glass being thrown around, I saw a glass bottle headed towards me; consequently hitting me in the head," she told TMZ. "I immediately started to bleed and proceeded to fall in and out of consciousness."

Chris Brown and Drake came to blows early this morning leaving Breezy with a cut on his chin.

The two superstars were partying at Club WIP in New York City when their entourages got into a brawl. TMZ is reporting that five people were injured during the melee, although none seriously. The injuries ranged from cuts to bumps and bruises.

Brown tweeted the picture above of his injury. He also tweeted "How u party wit rich n**** that hate? Lol... Throwing bottles like girls? #shameonya!"

Both the pic and tweet were later deleted.

Speculation is that the fight started over Chris' ex-girlfriend Rihanna, but that has yet to be confirmed.

Story still developing...

**UPDATE**

More information is coming in about the fight between Drake and Chris Brown. It seems Meek Mill was somehow involved according to a report on Global Grind.

Meek and Drake are currently on the Club Paradise tour together and were at Club WIP together last night.

The fight allegedly started when Chris sent a bottle of champagne over to Drake and Meek's table.

The Sun is reporting that Drake sent the bottle back along with a note that read I'm f*cking the love of your life, deal with it."

At that point the two confronted each other and started arguing over Rihanna. Drake then punched Breezy in the face and hit him with a bottle before he could retaliate.

New York party promoter Jessica Rosenblum later tweeted Meek blaming him for instigating the whole thing.

12349352460?profile=original

Meek replied by saying it wasn't him.

12349352481?profile=original

Meanwhile Chris took to Twitter and fired off a series of angry tweets.
