Shyne Po emerged from an eight year bid in prison a new man. He changed his name from Jamal Michael Barrow to Moses Michael Levi to reflect his conversion to Judasim.
His rap style also changed dramatically. Some have attributed that to his long lay off, but Shyne claims it was done on purpose, record sales be damned.
He recently told HipHopDX:
“[People] should be happy that I changed…I was monotonous and angry,” he explained. “I can’t give them that old shit. That anger you heard in the booth was really me. It was like listening to someone with Post Traumatic Stress [Disorder].”
“I’m comfortable with mine,” he continued. “I figured it out, but I’m not a communist. People want that shit, but I can’t give it to them in the old way.”
Whoa, wait a minute, post traumatic stress disorder, not a communist? We are are talking about rap, not war right?
Anyway Shyne wasn't done. He's heard the internet buzzing with negative comments about his comeback with songs like "Messiah".
“I’m not no fucking magician,” he says “You gotta make that shit. It’s about having character and integrity. I don’t care if I only sell one album.”
Somehow, I don't think L.A. Reid over at Def Jam can be happy with what he's hearing from Shyne on record or in interviews.

Jessica Simpson is a singer, actress and reality star, but now she has a new goal: She wants to be Michelle Obama.
"I really do," Simpson told PEOPLE before the White House Correspondents' dinner in Washington, D.C., Saturday. "She's such an incredible woman, and she's with such a powerful man."
What does Simpson admire most about the First Lady? "Everything she does she exudes confidence," says the singer. "I'm really just here to celebrate her."
Simpson was just one among many celebrities who came out for the annual event and mingled at the packed pre-party. Other stars included Sex and the City star Kristin Davis, Michael Douglas and Bradley Cooper.
"It's sort of like Oscar night," mused comedian Bill Maher, who joked: "It's great to mingle with America's real intellectual heavyweights. I saw the Jonas Brothers, Justin Bieber, Jessica Simpson, Ryan Seacrest – I can't wait to talk politics."
Despite all the bold-faced names, the most mobbed star of the evening was teen heartthrob Bieber. "Look at that guy: He's got more secret service than [President] Obama,” quipped Entourage's Adrian Grenier.
Still, the star of the night was President Barack Obama, who got lots of laughs during his speech. "It's been quite a year, " he said. "Lots of ups, lots of downs – except for my approval ratings, which have just gone down."
Obama also poked fun at Tonight Show host Jay Leno, who was in attendance at the event. "I am glad that the only person's whose ratings fell more than mine last year is here tonight. Great to see you, Jay," the president quipped to loud laughter. "I'm also glad that I'm speaking first because we've all seen what happens when somebody takes the timeslot after Leno's."

LAS VEGAS — Floyd Mayweather Jr. was Money once again.
Almost dropped by a right hand in the second round, Mayweather rebounded to dominate Shane Mosley the rest of the way Saturday night to win a unanimous 12-round decision in their welterweight fight.
Boxing's biggest box office draw remained undefeated in 41 fights, but not before giving his fans and his corner a scare when a right hand to the side of his head buckled his knees a minute into the second, and he had to grab Mosley to avoid going down. Mosley landed another right later in the round, but the rest of the night belonged to Mayweather.
Fighting before a star-studded crowd that included Muhammad Ali, Mayweather never came close to dropping Mosley, but landed so many more punches that the outcome wasn't in doubt past the middle rounds. He had an answer for everything Mosley tried to do, landing right hands to the head seemingly at will as the fight progressed.
By the end of the night, Mayweather had put so many rounds in the bank that the only question was whether he would stop Mosley or be content to win a lopsided decision. Mayweather kept moving forward and continued to press the issue in a fight that wasn't in doubt.
"I wanted to give the fans what they wanted to see, a toe-to-toe battle," said Mayweather, who has been criticized for fighting too defensively. "It wasn't the same style for me but I wanted to be aggressive and I knew I could do it."
Two ringside judges scored it 119-109 for Mayweather, while the third had it 118-110. All had him winning every round past the second.
The Associated Press had Mayweather winning 117-110.
Ringside punch statistics were as one-sided as the scorecards. They showed Mayweather landing 208 of 477 punches to 92 of 452 for Mosley.
Mayweather made Mosley look every bit his 38 years as he landed sharp punches to his head, dominating a fighter who had vowed to turn the bout into the fight of the decade. Mosley tried his best, but couldn't match the speed of the 33-year-old Mayweather, who grew more comfortable with each passing round.
Mosley was a substitute for Manny Pacquiao, who was all but signed to meet Mayweather until a dispute over drug testing derailed the megafight. Instead, Pacquiao beat Joshua Clottey on March 13 in Dallas and is now campaigning for a seat in congress in his native Philippines.
"If Manny Pacquiao can take a blood and urine test then we have a fight," Mayweather said. "If not, no fight."
Mosley almost ruined a lot of Mayweather's best-laid plans when he landed the big right hand in the second that brought the fans at the MGM Grand Arena to their feet. They chanted "Mosley, Mosley," as he followed Mayweather around the ring, landing another good right hand before the bell rang to end the round.
"It's a contact sport, and you're going to get hit," Mayweather said. "But when you get hit, you suck it up and keep on fighting. That's what I did. I'm happy we finally had a chance to fight. this is a fight the fans have been looking forward to for a long time, and they deserve it."
Mosley's second-round flourish was his last hurrah. Mayweather came out in the third and began landing some shots of his own, while Mosley couldn't find his mark.
"I caught him with my big right hand and I tried to move around but by that time he was too quick and I was too tight," Mosley said. "After the right hand I thought I needed to knock him out and I needed to do it sooner than later. But I couldn't adjust and he did."
Mosley said he thought the 15-month layoff since his last fight hurt him, as did a stiff neck. But Mayweather had a lot to do with his ineffectiveness, too, fighting his fight and refusing to allow Mosley to dictate the pace.
Mosley's corner kept imploring the fighter to throw his jab more and fight his way inside, but Mosley was content to try to load up to hurt Mayweather with a big punch that didn't come.
"You can't wait for one big shot, you've got to wake up," Mosley's trainer told him after the seventh round.
By the 10th round, Naazim Richardson was even more frantic, telling Mosley he needed a knockout.
Mayweather, who earned $2,500 in his pro debut 14 years ago, was guaranteed $22.5 million but probably will end up with much more once the final pay-per-view buys are added up. Mosley was guaranteed $7 million, and also had a share in the television revenues.

Ever since Christina Aguilera's new video 'Not Myself Tonight' made it's debut earlier this week, a lot of people have been weighing in on whether it's original X-Tina or Lady Gaga swagger jacking.
Akon has flat out accused Christina of copying Gaga, he told Vibe:
"I just think she just needs to believe in herself more. I think sometimes she gets insecure because of all of the success Gaga has had not realizing that she was already successful before Gaga came out.”
Judging from some of the comments left on the youtube video, public opinion seems to be that the video is a Lady Gaga rip off.
I think times are changing in music and with that so will the look of videos. Take almost any of the hundreds of generic hip hop videos that have come out recently. Switch out the artists and a lot of them look almost indentical. Yet we don't hear a lot of talk about this kind of thing.
My point is, Lady Gaga doesn't own any particular style of video or music. In fact, many people think Gaga herself has taken a big chunk of her style from Grace Jones and Madonna.
Jones has gone on record, saying Gaga copied from her and is not original. She told The Guardian she turned down a request to work with her for that reason.
"Yes, she did (ask about a duet), but I said no. I'd just prefer to work with someone who is more original and someone who is not copying me, actually. Well, you know, I've seen some things she's worn that I've worn, and that does kind of p**s me off. I wouldn't go to see her."
So what do you peeps think? Check out Christina's new vid and leave your thoughts.

LOS ANGELES – The suit O.J. Simpson wore on the day he was acquitted of murder has been delivered to the Newseum in Washington, D.C., where it will be part of a display focusing on the trial that was viewed by millions.
Susan Bennett, vice president and deputy director of the museum of news, said the Armani was transported Thursday by Simpson's former manager, Mike Gilbert, who had it in storage for nearly 15 years. Gilbert flew to Washington from California carrying the tan suit, white shirt and gold tie in a garment bag.
Bennett said the clothing has been placed in the artifact preparation area and Newseum officials hope to have it ready for display by October, which will mark the 15th anniversary of Simpson's acquittal in the 1994 slayings of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ronald Goldman.
Simpson was acquitted Oct. 3, 1995, after a televised trial that riveted the nation.
"We are very careful with all of our acquisitions," Bennett said. "It is being evaluated and we will have professional mount makers prepare the display."
Bennett said the suit will be in a collection that includes press passes, newspapers and the mute button that Superior Court Judge Lance Ito used when he wanted to shut off the live microphone in court so lawyers could talk privately during the trial. The exhibit will focus on media coverage of the so-called trial of the century.
The acquisition ends a 13-year legal battle between Gilbert and Fred Goldman, the father of Ronald Goldman. Both men claimed the right to the clothing.
Fred Goldman has been trying to collect virtually anything from Simpson to satisfy a $33.5 million judgment from the trial of a lawsuit that found Simpson civilly liable for the deaths. At one point he wanted to sell the suit, but Gilbert claimed it was his property.
Gilbert came up with the idea of a donation to a museum.
The suit was first offered to the Smithsonian Institution, but the museum said it was not appropriate for its collection. The Museum of Crime and Punishment in Washington also had been trying to acquire the suit, but the parties decided the appropriate venue was the Newseum, Gilbert said.

A controversial Facebook group that calls for people to pray for the death of President Barack Obama has reached over 1 million members on the social networking site.
The name of the group suggests that God should “take away” President Obama much like he did Patrick Swayzie, Farah Fawcett and Michael Jackson saying,
“DEAR LORD, THIS YEAR YOU TOOK MY FAVORITE ACTOR, PATRICK SWAYZIE. YOU TOOK MY FAVORITE ACTRESS, FARAH FAWCETT. YOU TOOK MY FAVORITE SINGER, MICHAEL JACKSON. I JUST WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW, MY FAVORITE PRESIDENT IS BARACK OBAMA. AMEN."
The name reportedly plays off an email being circulated to New Jersey teachers that calls for the death of Governor Chris Christie.
The group has an album of pictures depicting the President as a communist, socialist and a liar.
On the page, a member of the group asks people to name the best and worst thing about the President to which one person responded,
“Best thing: He smokes (lung cancer hopefully), Worst thing: hes black... lmao.”

Maybe Rikers should get a velvet rope.
Rap mega-star Lil Wayne - locked up on a gun conviction - brought in at least one more bold-faced name this week: Diddy.
The music mogul stopped by the Eric M. Taylor correctional facility to visit Lil Wayne on Wednesday. Diddy, born Sean Combs, even swapped his luxury wheels for the public bus like all the other visitors Wednesday.
Diddy was on a pre-approved list to see Lil Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Carter Jr., and the chat was limited to an hour, sources said.
The "Lollipop" singer was jailed in March and is serving one year behind bars.
Diddy escaped a jail sentence when he was found not guilty of weapons possession and other charges after a 1999 shoot-out at a New York nightclub

Since dropping Battle of the Sexes in March, Ludacris has been doing his part to raise awareness for certain public service campaigns -- including an HIV/AIDS awareness project and a promotional campaign for the 2010 Census.
Now, he's teaming with Trojan condoms to help launch their new Magnum Live Large Project. Luda will serve as their spokesman.
According to reports, the new pair-up will be Magnum's first full-fledged advertising campaign, which will consist of radio, web and print ads. Print ads are set to run in the May and June issues of Vibe, XXL and The Source magazines.
The campaign centers around a contest that will give fans the opportunity to record a "Magun-themed" song. To enter, just visit MagnumLiveLarge.com, download music samples, record a track, and submit for consideration.
Visitors will then vote for their favorite songs, and the winner will receive $5,000, and a trip to the Birthday Bash hip-hop festival in Atlanta on June 14, where they will have the chance to hop onstage with Ludacris.
