Report via TMZ Sports - An ex-NFL running back is facing murder and child abuse charges in the death of a 5-year-old girl -- after officials say he killed her through rigorous exercise used to punish her.
28-year-old Cierre Wood -- a former star running back at Notre Dame -- appeared in a Las Vegas courtroom Tuesday in the death of his girlfriend's daughter, La'Rayah Davis.
Davis died on April 9 -- and prosecutors say it's because Wood forced her to complete a hellacious workout routine unsuited for a 5-year-old.
Officials say Wood claimed Davis had behavior issues -- he also described her as "chunky" -- so to punish her, Wood would force her to run wind sprints and do sit-ups and wall squats inside their apartment.
Officials say Wood admitted Davis couldn't complete a second round of sit-ups on April 9 -- and flailed backward, smacking the back of her head against the floor.
She then got up and swayed -- and then collapsed. She was pronounced dead a short time later.
Officials say Wood had a slogan for the punishment -- calling it, "Learning through fun."
The girl's mother, Amy Taylor, has also been charged with murder -- and officials say she also abused the child before her death.
Prosecutors say Taylor admits the 5-year-old was complaining of chest pains in the days before her death -- after her mother had sat on her chest and stomach to punish her for misbehaving.
Officials say Taylor also admitted to having "popped" her daughter on the day she died.
During Tuesday's hearing, the judge says photos of Davis' body show severe injuries -- and told the court, "Once you’ve seen them, you can’t ever unsee them."
La'Rayah died with internal injuries to her lungs and diaphragm, and the judge noted what she called "injuries consistent with extreme abuse" including a lacerated liver, broken ribs and "severe injuries from the child's forehead to the child's about mid-thighs."
The case is due back in court soon.
As for Wood, he was a stud running back in college -- rushing for 1,102 yards as a junior in 2011. He was suspended in 2012 for 2 games for violating team rules.
Wood signed with the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent in 2013 but never panned out.
He bounced around to the Patriots, Seahawks and Bills ... before ultimately landing in the Canadian Football League. He hasn't been on a CFL roster since May 2018.

LITTLETON, Colo. (AP) — A young Florida woman who authorities say was so “infatuated” with the Columbine school shooting they feared she was planning an attack in Colorado just days ahead of the 20th anniversary was found dead Wednesday in an apparent suicide after a nearly 24-hour manhunt.
Jefferson County Sheriff Jeff Shrader said 18-year-old Sol Pais was discovered by the FBI with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The manhunt had led to the closing of Denver-area schools as a precaution, with classes and extracurricular activities canceled for a half-million students.
During the urgent search, the FBI said Pais was obsessed with the 1999 mass shooting at Columbine High School and made threats ahead of Saturday’s anniversary of the attack that killed 13 people. The FBI described her as “extremely dangerous.”
The Miami Beach high school student flew to Colorado on Monday night and bought a pump-action shotgun and ammunition from a gun shop in Littleton, not far from Columbine, authorities said.
“We’re used to threats, frankly, at Columbine,” John McDonald, executive director of security for the Jefferson County school system, said when the manhunt was over. “This one felt different. It was different. It certainly had our attention.
Authorities gave no immediate details on where Pais was found, but FBI agents had focused the search around the base of Mount Evans, a popular recreation area about 60 miles southwest of Denver.
McDonald described her trip as a “pilgrimage” to Columbine and cited her purchase of the shotgun as one reason officials took her as a serious threat.
“Those two things combined with her fascination of Columbine — that’s pretty clear and convincing evidence that she was a threat to the school,” he said.
Colorado Gov. Jared Polis said after receiving word that the hunt was over that he and all Colorado parents are “hugging their children a little tighter.”
Authorities said Pais was last seen not far from Columbine — in the Jefferson County foothills outside Denver — in a black T-shirt, camouflage pants and black boots. Police were instructed to detain her for a mental health evaluation.
In Pais’ hometown of Surfside, Florida, Police Chief Julio Yero asked that the family be given “privacy and a little time to grieve.”
“This family contributed greatly to this investigation from the very onset. They provided valuable information that led us to Colorado and a lot of things that assisted in preventing maybe more loss of life,” he said.
Pais’ parents last saw her on Sunday and reported her missing to Florida authorities on Monday night, Surfside police said.
Authorities said her threats were not specific to any school. But Columbine and more than 20 other schools outside Denver reacted by locking their doors for nearly three hours Tuesday afternoon, and some canceled evening activities or moved them inside.
Jefferson County school officials said events planned to mark the anniversary this weekend will go on as scheduled, including a ceremony at Columbine on Saturday.
Two teenage gunmen attacked Columbine on April 20, 1999, killing 12 classmates and a teacher before taking their own lives.
Adam Charni, a Miami Beach High School senior, said Pais dressed in black and kept mostly to herself. He said he was “baffled” to learn she was the person authorities in Colorado were searching for.
Colorado state Rep. Patrick Neville, the Republican House minority leader, was a 15-year-old sophomore at Columbine High at the time of the shooting and now has three school-age daughters.
“It wasn’t easy for me to explain to my kids what was going on last night,” Neville said on the House floor Wednesday.

(MMA Junkie) Former UFC strawweight Angela Magana is in a coma, her coach, Gabriel Lamastus, confirmed to MMA Junkie early Wednesday morning.
Magana, 35, is in a coma at University Hospital in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where she lives, following complications from emergency surgery. Early Tuesday morning, Magana posted on Facebook and Twitter that she was “about to be put in a gown and cap for surgery.”
Roughly 14 hours later, an update on Magana’s official social media pages appeared, stating:
“Message from Coaching Staff there have complications (sic) and they can not wake her up. They are trying many options we will keep you up to day. Thank you for the out pouring (sic) of concern and love #TeamLaPerla #”
Message from Coaching Staff there have complications and they can not wake her up. They are trying many options we will keep you up to date. Thank you for the out pouring of concern and love #TeamLaPerla #
Overnight Tuesday, a post to Magana’s Twitter account said she remains unresponsive:
Angela still unresponsive I will be here in the icu at hospital as nuero team works on this. Remeber lifs is so short and can change in a blink of an eye!
When reached early Wednesday morning by MMA Junkie, Lamastus explained Magana had been experiencing back pain recently while preparing for a Combate Americas fight. She was injured after being taken down during training on April 7. As a result, she went in for an MRI, which revealed a herniated disc. Magana, determined to fight, was prescribed medication the next day while she continued to train, but the pain became too much, Lamastus said.
On Monday, she had a nerve block done, hoping to ease the pain, but Lamastus said she didn’t react well. That led to a diagnosis of cauda equina syndrome and the need for emergency surgery on Tuesday.
“She’s in a coma, and we’re waiting to hear some positive news,” said Lamastus, who was at the hospital with Magana. “The surgery went fine. The problem was anesthesia. It’s very rare that patients react bad to anesthesia, but it does happen, and I guess this is one of those rare cases. But I’m being positive. She’ll be fine, and she’ll wake up. She’s a fighter. I’m just staying positive.”
In a video posted on her Twitter page, Magana – whose aunt died from anesthesia, according to Lamastus – was concerned about being put to sleep prior to surgery.
“I feel like I’m gonna not wake up and die after this,” she tells someone out of frame.
This is hard to watch but we didnt know this is where she would be. Good vibes and healing energy to our warrior! You will wake up!!!! Team La Perla pic.twitter.com/aWvu1ZQuIu
Magana was scheduled to meet Kyra Batara at “Combate 35: Reinas” on April 26 in Los Angeles.
Magana was released from the UFC in December 2017 after going 0-3 with the promotion against stiff competition in Tecia Torres, Michelle Waterson and Amanda Cooper. Magana’s last MMA fight was in August 2018 at Rizin FF 12, where she lost to Kanako Murata via second-round submission.
Lamastus said Magana, who has three children, will represent Puerto Rico next year in the Olympics as a wrestler.
“She’s a hard worker. Angela is a very, very hard worker,” Lamastus said. “A lot of people only know the Angela from social media. They don’t really know the real Angela. That woman busts her tail to provide for her family.”

FATCATOGC
A Vision of expression.
What started as a quest for understanding, clarity, and fulfillment turned into a journey of acceptance, expression, and acknowledgement.
Evolution and declaration being submerged then re- emerging entwined as one entity ready to face the world and manifest a universe.
He laughs saying, “it's simpler than that, I just wanted to help my Mom.” Deajene Jones executive producer as well as writer at FATCATOGC,
LLC states that on the road to attempting to stand things weren't always roses.
But a Casio and karaoke system would spark a journey of self-discovery, enlightenment, and investment would end the dream and start a life.
"I was born in a small hole in the ground called Poplar Bluff, Missouri."
Like most families back then he was raised in the church and he believed that is where his love for music was spawned.
Years later he would find myself living in Topeka, Kansas after dealing with several of Life's perils and bouts with the 1980s drug epidemic.
"You know the old story country mouse city mouse? Well, that was me her (fat cat's mother) country boy thrown into the city streets and that is when all of my life's lessons would begin."
Living in Topeka Kansas he would found himself surrounded by a rich array of organic hip hop, gangster rap, heavy metal ,Hard Rock, contemporary and classic and every other form of music you can think of. This further lead him down a path of musical expression.
Naturally teenage years being the most influential time of life he found himself influenced by the streets more so than ever along with NWA, Tupac, Wu-Tang and a plethora of other musicians and genres.
Then it happened Tupac was killed and it was then listening to Against All Odds that he decided he was going to make an album.
"Like everybody else I set out to be everything that I thought I could be. And like that OGC was born."
Of course this is no fairytale story so after several mistakes karaoke systems, tattoos, four tracks, eight tracks, and countless dollars on studio time; Not to mention Promises of never working for anyone ever!!!
You see Master P and the Hot Boyz were doing it themselves so naturally Fat Cat was part of the system that thought, "Hey we all can do that."
So as any ill prepared vigorous young man would do he’d go on to make several mistakes always being true to himself and sticking to his own lane but to no avail. Only to find that the value in creating is the creation itself or vice versa.
"So after 20 years I still lay bricks smooth concrete and build bridges only to assure the manifestation of My Universe will come to fruition."
On to the Music Fat Cat OGC teams up with a familiar counter part Kilo M.O.E and Drops off some heat dubbed "Rock Salt".

Report via TMZ -- Nipsey Hussle's family is politely shutting down any fundraising efforts to support his kids -- even from celebs -- because turns out their father made sure they'd be financially secure.
Sources close to Nip's family tell TMZ ... Nipsey made sure his 2 children, Emani and Kross Asghedom, would never have to rely on other people for money.
While there have been multiple crowdfunding pages popping up for them -- including the one retired NFL star Reggie Bush started -- we're told the family wants everyone to know the kids are more than alright.
Nipsey was remembered as a savvy businessman during his celebration of life ... and for good reason. We're told he owned all of his master recordings, his Marathon Clothing store, and he also set up multiple trust funds to make sure his kids and family would never need a handout.
As we reported ... Bush set up a GoFundMe in hopes of raising $100,000 for Nipsey's kids, personally chipping in $10k to get things started. But, that fundraiser has already been scrubbed from the internet.
We're told the family is grateful for the outpouring of support, but as one source put it -- Nip just wouldn't want it that way, and since he left his family financially secure ... it's just not necessary.

Boskoe100 came back for another VladTV interview, and this time around he shared his thoughts on Nipsey Hussle's tragic death. Boskoe explained that he grew up in the neighboring area of where Nipsey lived, which is why he doesn't believe the conspiracy theories floating around about Nipsey's death. Boskoe also spoke about snitches being bolder today than they were in the past, adding that there are "tough snitches" that are taking a stand.
