Revolutionary group Elite Society is back with new single "These Days" ft Lionel and KY Soul. "These Days" starts off with a poem, narrating the hostile environment we live in today, such as police brutality, poverty, laziness and the lack of love among ourselves.
Elite Society informs that we reside in a society where we are constantly bombarded with lavish apparels and lifestyles from the media, instead of working harder to attain our goals especially with all the odds working against us. The music elaborates on our generation's new affirmed mentality of materialism, rather than choosing to acquire intelligence and self worth. Through Elite Society's sensitive lyrics and deep words, "These Days" teaches us that love is the essence for our generation to thrive.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Harriet Tubman, an African-American abolitionist who was born a slave, will stand with George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and Benjamin Franklin as among the iconic faces of U.S. currency.
The $20 bill will be redesigned with Tubman's portrait on the front, marking two historic milestones, Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew announced Wednesday. She will be the first African American on U.S. paper money and the first woman depicted in 100 years.
The leader of the Underground Railroad will replace the portrait of Andrew Jackson, the nation's seventh president and a slave owner, who will be pushed to the back of the bill.
Lew also settled the backlash that had erupted after he announced an initial plan to remove Alexander Hamilton, the nation's first Treasury secretary, from the $10 bill in order to honor a woman.
BREAKING: Treasury official says Secretary Lew has decided to put Harriet Tubman on $20 bill.
Instead, the Treasury building on the back of the bill will be replaced with leaders of the suffrage movement to give women the right to vote, including Lucretia Mott, Sojourner Truth, Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Alice Paul.
From left, Sojourner Truth, Lucretia Mott, Susan B. Anthony, Alice Paul and Elizabeth Cady Stanton will be featured on the back of the new $10 bill.
The $5 bill will also undergo change. The illustration of the Lincoln Memorial on the back of the will be redesigned to honor "events at the Lincoln Memorial that helped to shape our history and our democracy." The new image will include civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr., Eleanor Roosevelt and Marian Anderson.
An online group, Women on 20s, said it was encouraged that Lew was responding to its campaign to replace Jackson with a woman. But it said it would not be satisfied unless Lew also committed to issuing the new $20 bill at the same time that the redesigned $10 bill is scheduled to be issued in 2020.
The $10 bill is the next note on Treasury's redesign calendar, and it aims introduce updated protections against counterfeiting. That redesign was scheduled to be unveiled in 2020, which marks the 100th anniversary of women gaining the right to vote. Lew had often cited that connection as a reason to put a woman on the $10 bill.
However, the effort ran into strong objections from supporters of Hamilton, who is enjoying renewed pop culture interest with the hit Broadway musical "Hamilton."
Tubman, who was born into slavery in the early part of the 19th century, escaped and then used the network of antislavery activists and safe houses known as the Underground Railroad to transport other slaves to freedom. After the Civil War, Tubman, who died in 1913, became active in the campaign for women's suffrage.
Various groups have been campaigning to get a woman honored on the nation's paper currency, which has been an all-male domain for more than a century.
The last woman featured on U.S. paper money was Martha Washington, who was on a dollar silver certificate from 1891 to 1896. The only other woman ever featured on U.S. paper money was Pocahontas, from 1865 to 1869. Susan B. Anthony and Sacagawea are on dollar coins.

DJ Quik doesn't believe Kanye West's latest album, "The Life of Pablo," is good. The super producer appeared on NoahTV recently and offered his opinion on the project and West in general.
"Kanye's so scared he don't know what to do with The Life of Pablo. Lets keep this shit all the way 100," Quik said, before asking the host his thoughts. "Is it better than 808s & Heartbreak? Is it better than [Yeezus]? Do you think it deserves all the hype though? Is this the kind of album that you would really want to go buy.?"
Quik went on to say that Kanye is skating by off of his name and association with the Kardashians now.
"So, his celebrity supersedes his talent right now. Yes," Quik continued. "Come on, he's a Kardashian ... what the fuck. What he gon' do to me, beat me up? It's Kanye. This is a challenge, this ain't a diss. Make your best music because fans aren't stupid. They're just not. Maybe his head is all the way up in Kim Kardashian's vagina. Vadashian ... the new pussy."
We've got some clarification on Conor McGregor supposed retirement and his situation with the UFC... we think.
As we previously reported, The Notorious surprised everyone on Tuesday, April 19, by announcing that he was retiring from mixed martial arts at the young age of 27.
I have decided to retire young. Thanks for the cheese. Catch ya's later.
Following several hours of rampant speculation as to why he would walk away from the sport, specifically the UFC, that has made him a millionaire in a very short period of time, UFC PresidentDana White appeared on ESPN's Sportscenter to offer an explanation.
He saysMystic Macrefused to show up in Las Vegas to help promote the organization's hugeUFC 200card and and his rematch withNate Diaz, that was scheduled for July 9, 2016 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. As a result he was taken off of the card.
"Well, what's happened is, we've pulled Conor McGregor from UFC 200," White said on SportsCenter. "And we're working on other fights right now. Conor did not want to come to Las Vegas [this week] to film the commercial or be a part of any of the marketing that we have. He's in Iceland training and [not participating in the marketing] is not possible. This has only happened one other time in UFC history. Nick Diaz didn't show up for his press conference for his fight with Georges St-Pierre and I pulled Nick Diaz from the fight. We've had other instances like this where guys didn't want to do the press conference, [but] you have to. You have to do the press conference, so Conor put out that tweet. Is Conor McGregor retiring? Only he could answer that question."
Translation: The UFC is not about to let an athlete dictate to them when he or she is going to fulfill their contractual obligation to put in the work that is necessary to sell a fight to the public. Either do it their way or kick rocks.
There are rumors that McGregor wanted $10 million to go through with the match and the UFC balked. Dana's explanation may be a smokescreen, but it's all we have to go on at this point.
Chael Sonnen
Former UFC fighter Chael Sonnen believes McGregor overplayed his hand and it blew up in his face.
"I don't have any inside info on this. Just being around the business since the 90's, I know how it works. I know how this whole thing went down. And if I tell you what I think, I guarantee I'm 98 percent right if not 100," Sonnen said on Facebook Live, via MMA Fighting on Tuesday. "Conor had a deal with the UFC. And Conor's now going back and trying to renegotiate and it just doesn't work that way. It can't. You can't write everything down, you can't get your contracts done all the time in this business. There's 500 guys under contract. There's not even that many employees in the UFC. I think there's like 340 employees with 500 fighters. There's 53 shows scheduled for a year that only has 52 weeks in the year. You have to be able to make a phone call, count on whatever the guy says, hang up the phone and that's the end of it. You have to be able to do that.
Conor has a contract, he made a deal, somewhere he didn't sign it. Let the promotion go out, let the money get spent and then realized ‘I've got the upper hand. Now I can come back and renegotiate. Who's going to tell me no when the advertising is already done?' That's what he did. Guaranteed. With no inside knowledge, guaranteed that's what happened," Sonnen continued. "He might really be done...I don't know if he wants to be done. This was a negotiation tool. But he called the bluff of the wrong guys. These are gamblers man, there's rules in Vegas. If you say bet you have a bet. I mean that. You go to a casino, you don't put your money down, you tell the pit boss ‘I want that bet' if he yells the word bet you have a bet. And it goes both ways. If you win it he'll pay you...Anytime you go into a negotiation and you call someone's bluff, man you better mean it because this is what can happen. When you get beat up by a guy, and then you agree to fight him again, and then you pull out, it really doesn't matter after that. And the miscalculation here by Conor is he's not gonna be telling his side. He's gonna be telling his side to whoever.com. He's not gonna be telling it on FS1 or ESPN or anywhere else. Those days are gone. This was a big mistake."

New York (CNN) Former New York City police Officer Peter Liang will not serve jail time in the 2014 shooting death of Akai Gurley in a New York housing project.
Liang was sentenced to 800 hours of community service and five years' probation Tuesday after Judge Danny Chun reduced his manslaughter conviction to criminally negligent homicide in the shooting death of Gurley, 28, who was not armed.
Liang, 28, was found guilty of manslaughter and official misconduct in February for shooting Gurley in the stairwell of a Brooklyn housing project.
But Chun said that for manslaughter to stand, the prosecution had to prove that Liang not only "created a substantial and unjustifiable risk that a death would occur" but also that the the officer "was aware of and consciously disregarded that risk."
"There is no evidence either direct or circumstantial that the defendant was aware of Akai Gurley's presence and still disregarded any risk by firing the weapon," Chun said. "The evidence showed that it was a quick reaction to perhaps a sound, which in my opinion only amounts to failing to perceive a unjustifiable risk."
Akai Gurley was accidentally shot and killed by Liang on Nov. 20, 2014.
The prosecution said it will appeal the judge's decision to reduce the verdict.
"My office vigorously prosecuted Peter Liang for manslaughter because the evidence established that his conduct was criminal and the rule of law demanded that he be held accountable for his actions in taking Akai Gurley's life," Brooklyn District Attorney Ken Thompson said in a statement.
"The jury, the voice of the Brooklyn community, agreed and returned the verdict of guilty against Mr. Liang, who is now a convicted felon, forfeited his career as a police officer and must now always live with the fact that he recklessly caused Mr. Gurley's death."
Former NYPD cop Peter Liang with his legal team in Brooklyn Supreme Court.
Liang, who was immediately fired after his conviction, on Tuesday apologized to Gurley's family.
"Growing up my parents thought it was a foolish dream that I wanted to become a police officer," he told the court. "When I graduated from the academy it was a dream come true."
He added, "Judge, my life is forever changed. I hope I have a chance to improve."
Gurley's domestic partner, Kim Ballinger, told the court that Liang's reckless actions changed many lives. She described Gurley as a "lovely father" and said their young daughter asks why a police officer killed her father.
"An innocent man was shot and killed due to the reckless actions of a police officer and then, after the shooting, a police officer did nothing to help him as Akai lay bleeding to death on a cold stairway," she said.
Thompson had written the judge with a recommendation of five years of probation, including six months of home confinement with electronic monitoring and 500 hours of community service. Liang faced up to 15 years in prison.
"Mr. Liang has no prior criminal history and poses no future threat to public safety," Thompson said in a statement last month. "Because his incarceration is not necessary to protect the public, and due to the unique circumstances of this case, a prison sentence is not warranted."
Liang, with 18 months on the job, was on patrol in the dark stairwell of a Brooklyn housing project in November 2014 when he fired his gun. The bullet ricocheted off a wall and struck Gurley in the chest.
Gurley died at a hospital.
Liang's lawyers argued that the officer's gun accidentally discharged when he had it out while on patrol in the dangerous building. He was in shock, and didn't know Gurley had been shot, the lawyers said.
Defense lawyers called the shooting a tragedy, not a crime. Prosecutors argued that Liang was reckless and was more concerned about his story than helping Gurley.
Liang gave tearful testimony on the stand during the trial. When asked to recount what happened in the stairwell on that night, he said he lost his composure.
"I was panicking. I was in shock, in disbelief that someone was actually hit," he said.
Liang had a brief meeting last month with Ballinger at Thompson's Brooklyn offices, according to attorneys for Liang and Ballinger, who were present.
"He said how sorry he was that she had lost a loved one," attorney Paul Shechtman said of Liang. "He said how difficult a year it had been for him and could only imagine how difficult it was for her."
Ballinger did not accept his apology, according to her attorney, Scott Rynecki.
"She looked him right in the eye and said, 'I just want to let you know that your actions that night have left my daughter without a father, have left me without a partner,' " Rynecki recalled.
Gurley's death "turned her life upside-down," Ballinger told the ex-cop.
Kanye West has had his eyes on Kim Kardashian for a long time and was determined to undermine her 2011 engagement to Kris Humphries.
On the upcoming final episode of "Kocktails with Khloe," West reveals to other members of the Jenner/Kardashian clan how his plan of action was put into motion.
"I got a phone because somebody decided they wanted to marry Kris Humphries, and I was like ...," Yeezy told the family, via PEOPLE. "I wasn't up to anything, and I looked on the Internet, and there was Kim with some extremely tall person, and I was like, 'I need to call her or something.' I started sending her pictures of certain basketball players that used to be cool, but now they wear their pants like all the way up here: 'This is your future!'"
West's plan didn't stop Kim and Kris from getting married, but probably had a residual affect because the couple called it quits 72 days after tying the knot.
In April of 2012 the "Power" rapper and reality television star began dating. They got married on May 24, 2014, and now have two kids.
The "Kocktails with Khloe" finale airs Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET on FYI.
The tweet comes just a little over a week after McGregor sat ringside watching his teammate Charlie Ward defeat Joao Carvalho, who died less than 48 hours after undergoing emergency brain surgery.
Joao Carvalho
"Terrible news regarding Joao Carvalho. To see a young man doing what he loves, competing for a chance at a better life, and then to have it taken away is truly heartbreaking," McGregor wrote on his Facebook page after hearing the news. "We are just men and women doing something we love in the hope of a better life for ourselves and our families. Nobody involved in combat sports of any kind wants to see this. It is such a rare occurrence that I don't know how to take this. I was ringside supporting my teammate, and the fight was so back and forth, that I just can't understand it. My condolences go out to Joao's family and his team. Their man was a hell of a fighter and will be sorely missed by all. Combat sport is a crazy game and with the recent incident in boxing and now this in MMA, it is a sad time to be a fighter and a fight fan. It is easy for those on the outside to criticise our way of living, but for the millions of people around the world who have had their lives, their health, their fitness and their mental strength all changed for the better through combat, this is truly a bitter pill to swallow. We have lost one of us. I hope we remember Joao as a champion, who pursued his dream doing what he loved, and show him the eternal respect and admiration he deserves. Rest in peace, Joao."
The Notorious One is scheduled to fight Nate Diaz in a non-title rematch at UFC 200 on July 9, in Las Vegas.
Diaz defeated McGregor in their first bout via submission in round 2 at UFC 196 on March 5th.
