Thisis50 & Young Jack Thriller recently spoke with Taj for an exclusive interview
Our interview with Taj opened up with a very lengthy freestyle which proved that the rapper is still a contender in the game. In fact, Taj mentioned that he was sought out to add 12 bars to a Martin Luther King tribute. Additionally, his mixtape "Authenticity" is soon to drop.
During his hiatus from music, Taj managed to structure a movie company called Finally Focused Films. By March, his documentary entitled "Bar" is expected to be released."Bars" is short for Buffalo, Albany, Rochester...all places in upstate New York. The doc focuses on upstate hip hop and how it is yet to be discovered by the industry.
Kool DJ Red Alert is one of the pioneers in the game. He sits down with EnveOnline to talk about how he got his start in hip hop and being influenced by Kool Herc.
He also talks about the influence DJ's like Brucie Bee, Kid Capri and Funkmaster Flex had on the mixtape game and how 50 Cent took it to another level.
When Master P released his song "Brick To a Million" last month many people thought he was going at Kanye West and Lil Wayne in the first verse.
"New n*ggas wearin’ dresses. F*ck it, I ain’t scared to address it/Gangster n*ggas on skateboards? I’m at the house breakin’ motherf*ckin’ headboards/Real n*ggas stand up. Three dollar n*ggas y'all man up," P raps.
In a new interview with Big Boy's Neighborhood, P addresses the controversy.
P said the lines were aimed at someone who works at a radio station who doesn't believe he can make a comeback. For people offended by the record, P says "if the shoe fits wear it."

Consequence and his girlfriend Jen The Pen stopped by Hot 97 yesterday to talk with Peter Rosenberg, Cipha Sounds and K-Foxx. After an awkward confrontation with Joe Budden, Cons addressed his problem with Rosenberg's comments during a recent Pusha T interview that he had been "put off" by some oft the things Cons has been saying recently.
Rosenberg also took issue with Cons doing an interview with Power 105.1 before Hot 97.
Consequence goes on to address friction with Raqi Thunda, Kanye West, Pusha T and his cousin Q-Tip. He apologizes to Kim Kardahsian for involving her in the Kanye beef and says Kanye didn't buy his teeth.
Legendary R&B singer Anita Baker was the musical guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live yesterday. Anita kicked things off by singing the Grammy-nominated song "Lately" off of her upcoming album. Only Forever. She later took us on a trip down memory lane and she performed "Same Ole Love" off of her 1995 classic album, Rapture.
Things got extremely awkward recently when Joe Budden crossed paths with Consequence in between their interviews at Hot 97.
The tension between the two "Love & Hip Hop New York" co-stars has been bubbling ever since Cons said some negative things about Joe in interviews with The Breakfast Club and Vlad TV.
While at Hot 97 yesterday Joe confronted Cons to see what all the talk was about. Joe said he wasn't used to seeing people on a show one day then giving a negative interview about him the next.
Cons placed the blame on Raqi Thunda, saying she had instigated things with disparaging remarks about Joe. Cons also said he was gassed up in the interviews by the hosts which led to him saying slick sh*t about Joe.
Check out the confrontation below. Who backs down in your opinion?

The things people do for love can be downright outrageous. Lesya Toumaniantz from Saransk, Russia, met Rouslan Toumaniantzon an online chat room. Less than 24 hours after meeting Toumaniantz in person in Moscow, Russia, Lesya allowed the tattoo artist to ink his first name in bold Gothic script across her face.
"It's a symbol of our eternal devotion. I'd like him to tattoo every inch of my body," she said, according to the Daily Mail.
Lesya realizes her tattoos might be mistaken for something related to the notorious street gang MS-13, but says they aren't gang related.
"Some resemble my tattoo on MS-13. This figure has a tattoo on my body," she wrote on her Facebook page. "But I'm not a gangster."
The happy couple are now planning on getting married after knowing each other a week according to BME.
Lesya and Rouslan
"Their plans for a life together include her learning to tattoo while she also gets the full-body ink that she’s always dreamed of and of course a family," said a friend of Toumaniantz. "I know that there are people who are terrified that Lesya has made a rash decision that she’ll regret horribly, but sometimes the best decisions are the ones you make in an instant with your heart rather than the ones long-debated in your mind."
Rouslan gained worldwide attention in 2009 after he tattooed 56 stars on the face of 18-year old Kimberley Vlaeminckin.
Kimberley initially said she wanted just 3 stars near her eye, but Rouslan kept adding more after she had passed out. Rouslan fled Belgium because of the controversy. Kimberly later admitted that she lied and was awake the whole time the tattoos were being inked on her face.
Check out more pics of Lesya and Rouslan below.
