Floyd Mayweather Jr. is set to step into the ring again on May 3, 2014. A list of potential opponents includes Danny Garcia, Manny Pacquiao, Marcos Maidana and Amir Khan.
PBF had some fun at three of the four fighter's expense on his Twitter and Instagram accounts over the last couple of days.
In a series of photoshopped pics he calls Khan a "con artist," shows himself punching Maidana in the ring and jokes about Manny's knockout loss to Juan Manuel Marquez and his current IRS problems.
"Juan Marquez ate Timothy Bradley’s leftovers. Now you’re telling me I got to eat Juan Marquez’s leftovers? Let me talk to the IRS about this," the undefeated champion wrote, regarding Pac Man.
Khan, 28-3, 20 KO, believes he has the inside track on the May fight. His camp has been negotiating with Mayweather's reps to make it happen.
Amir Khan
"It's the fight I've always been after and we're very close now, not too far away. Hopefully something is going to be announced within the next couple of weeks," he said.
Pacquiao, whose record stands at 55-5, with 2 draws and 38 KO, told the Manila Bulletin that May 3 "would be the perfect date."
"That would be a great fight [with Mayweather], a great match up," said Pacquiao.
Danny Garcia
The undefeated Garcia, (27-0,16 KO), is currently the WBC, WBA and Ring Magazine light welterweight champion. He would have to gain seven pounds to move up and challenge Floyd for the welterweight title, but many believe he could be Mayweather's toughest opponent at this point.
Marcos Maidana
Maidana destroyed previously unbeaten Adrien Broner earlier this month to put himself in a position for a big money fight. His records stands at 35-3, 31 KO
