NFL legend Shannon Sharpe supports Kanye West's Donda Sports bid to buy the Broncos -- where the former great TE starred -- telling TMZ Sports the league must have minorities in ownership positions.

We talked to Shannon as he was leaving SoFi Stadium after the Super Bowl & the HOF'er told us he supports Ye & other prominent Black men & women buying teams.

"I'd be happy, if a minority, Robert Smith, I see Byron Allen is interested," Sharpe said. "I'm all for it."

"That’s the organization that I played 12 years for. I have a lot of respect for the Bowlen family. They did a great job with me & my family."

All the talk comes from a social media message from Antonio Brown, who describes himself as Donda Sports' president, claiming Ye's company wants to buy the Broncos.

Sharpe says if Kanye could find some investors, he'd support him making a play at owning the Broncos ... assuming he could get the necessary 75% approval from other owners.

But, West might not need anyone else. Forbes lists his net worth at $1.8 billion ... but during a recent interview, Kanye claimed to be worth substantially more -- $10 BILLION.

Last year Forbes valued the Broncos at $3.75 billion.

As for Ye & AB ... they've been nearly inseparable since connecting after Brown's unceremonious exit from the Tampa Bay Bucs in January.

Kanye seemed to embrace Brown & the 2 formed a close friendship and business relationship.

Bottom line ... regardless of how the NFL owners may feel about Kanye, AB, or Donda Sports, Shannon tells us money talks.

"The biggest bidder is gonna win. NFL is about dollars and cents. If he got the dollars, it makes sense."

A jury on Tuesday found the 3 white men sentenced to life for the murder of Ahmaud Arbery guilty of federal hate crimes & attempted kidnapping.

Father & son, Gregory & Travis McMichael & their former neighbor William Bryan, chased Arbery, a 25-year-old Black man, & killed him while he was running in a neighborhood just out Brunswick, Ga., nearly 2 years ago.

Prosecutors argued that “pent-up racial anger" motivated the men to chase down & shoot Arbery.

*They presented nearly 2 dozen racist messages and social media posts, including Travis McMichael's regular reference to Black people as "savages" & "monkeys"

*Defense attorneys argued the 3 men did not chase & kill Arbery because of his race.

The men on Monday were found guilty of all counts, including interference with rights & attempted kidnapping.

*The McMichaels were also found guilty of firearm charges.

*The jury in the hate crimes trial included 8 white people, 3 Black people & 1 Hispanic person.

What they're saying: Speaking to reporters after trial testimony last week, Arbery's father, Marcus, said “I ain’t really in shock.”

*“I knew all that hate was in those men. ... It’s hard, but I’m just glad the world can see this.”

The 3 men were convicted last November for Arbery's Feb. 23, 2020, murder on a street in the Satilla Shores neighborhood in Glynn County, Ga.

*The McMichaels were sentenced to life in state prison without parole, while Bryan was sentenced to life with the possibility of parole.

*Prosecutors only pursued the case after a video of the killing went viral in May 2020, sparking national anger.

MIDVALE, Utah (AP) — Investigators believe a man told his 4-year-old child to fire at officers following a dispute over his order at a McDonald’s drive-thru in suburban Salt Lake City on Monday, police said. An officer was able to swipe at the gun as it was fired, directing the bullet away.

The unidentified man brandished a gun at the pick-up window at the restaurant in Midvale, demanding that his order be corrected, a spokesperson for the Unified Police Department, Sgt. Melody Cutler, said . After workers asked that he pull to a waiting area while they corrected his order, they called police, she said.

The man did not cooperate & had to be pulled him from the car, Cutler said. But, as officers were taking the man into custody, one looked back & saw a gun pointing from a rear window, she said. The officer who swiped the gun to the side as it was fired also yelled “kid” to other officers after seeing how young the shooter was, Cutler said.

A witness observed the man tell the 4-year-old, who was in the backseat with a 3-year-old sibling, to shoot the gun, Cutler said.

Salt Lake County Sheriff Rosie Rivera said it was a sad day for law enforcement & the community.

“To have an adult think it is OK to encourage a four-year-old to pull a firearm and shoot at police illustrates how out of hand the campaign against police has gotten,” she said.

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. (Local10) – The sister of Wall Street fraudster Bernie Madoff and her husband were found dead in Palm Beach County.

Investigators said they believe it was a murder suicide.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office has identified the couple as 87-year-olld Sondra Weiner and her husband Marvin.

Their bodies were found on Thursday inside their home in Boynton Beach.

Madoff was infamously known for orchestrating a massive Ponzi scheme that wiped out fortunes and ruined charities.

He was sentenced to 150 years in prison after pleading guilty to fraud in 2009.

Madoff died behind bars last year at the age of 82.

BRUNSWICK, Ga., Feb 21 (Reuters) - With closing arguments set to begin Monday in the trial of 3 white men accused of federal hate crimes in the murder of Ahmaud Arbery, a 25-year-old Black jogger, in south Georgia, legal experts say the prosecution had a high bar to meet.

Arbery, who had been out for a run through a mostly white neighborhood in February 2020, was chased down by Travis McMichael, now 36; his father, former police officer Gregory McMichael, 66; & neighbor William "Roddie" Bryan, 52. The younger McMichael then killed Arbery with a shotgun.

The slaying, caught on cellphone video, was one of several of Black men and women -- often by police -- that helped reignite racial justice protests in recent years.

The 3 men have already been convicted in state court of murder & sentenced to life in prison. The federal prosecution is the first in which those who carried out such a high-profile murder are facing a jury in a hate-crime trial. If convicted, they face up to life in prison, in addition to their state sentences.

Legal experts & court observers say federal prosecutors proved their case but cautioned that predicting what jurors will decide is tricky.

"The prosecution's theory is that they were inveterate racists," said Nirej Sekhon, a professor of criminal law at Georgia State University.

"They need to show that racism saturated every dimension of their lives & informed their decision to chase Mr. Arbery," he said in a telephone interview. "I believe that they've met that bar, that they can tether their (the defendants') mindset to their actions."
