New York rap label Ruff Ryders has announced several new projects in 2010, including a reunion album featuring DMX, Eve and The Lox, a new album from Drag-On and a new venture, Ruff Ryder Indy.
Drag-On, born Mel Small, will release his third and final album for Ruff Ryders entitled My Life, My Legacy, My Melody in March.
The release will drop on Drag-On’s own record label Hood Environment, which he founded in 2006.
"I’ve reinvented myself and created a whole new sound," Drag-On told AllHipHop.com in a statement. "I’m trying to create another umbrella in this game with my label Hood Environment and my artists Da Dude and Eyez.B. However, I’m still the original ‘Fire-Man.’"
Drag-On entered into a joint venture deal with Ruff Ryder Indy to distribute his third official release.
Ruff Ryder Indy is a new, national distribution company founded by Ruff Ryder CEO Waah Dean. The distribution company serves independent artists with various album budgets.
“Over the last 20 years, my family and I have built the Ruff Ryders brand on good music, original talent and hard work,” Waah Dean stated. “Now, we are entering a new chapter of our company with album releases from Drag, Mook and the Ruff Ryder team, as well as the creation of our new ‘Ruff Ryder Indy’ division.”
Drag-On’s album will be followed by Ruff Ryders Evolution: Generation I.
The album will feature production from group member Swizz Beatz, in addition to appearances by Jadakiss, Styles P., Sheek Louch, Eve, Drag-On, DMX and the label’s newest artist, Mook.

Vibe.com Reports
Shaq's soon-to-be ex-wife Shaunie O' Neal is planning to executive produce and star in an upcoming VH1 reality series about the tumultuous life of being the wife of a basketball star.
The series, Basketball Wives, is set to be began shooting this month, focusing on the "glamorous" and cliquey world of women who date famous (and some infamous) NBA stars-- athletes whose world involves being away from home almost six months out the year.
The show is expected to include wives, and ex-wives. VH1 plans to chronicle the women enjoying the luxuries that come as a privilege of being affiliated with a pro baller, but also the paranoia of dealing with their groupies. Other women included in the series are Jennifer Williams (wife of Eric Williams), Evelyn Lozada (ex-fiancé of Antoine Walker), Mesha O'Neal (wife of Jermaine O'Neal), Royce Reed, and Faith Rain (Udonis Haslem's girlfriend)."Having been around these remarkable women for several years, I have always recognized that behind every NBA star is a strong, exceptional woman, one who must deal with the unique challenges of being married to the game as well as the player," Shaunie O'Neal said in a statement. "I am happy to be teaming with Shed Media and VH1 in bringing this entertaining and enlightening world to television."
What affect the show will have on Shaunie and Shaquille O'Neal's current separation, which was filed after 7-years of marriage, remains to be seen. According to TMZ, Shaunie is setting things up for a possible divorce, after citing in legal papers "irreconcilable differences." She has reportedly already left Shaq, and has left their home in Florida to fly to Los Angeles where the papers were filed.

Last Thursday, a pair of brand-new Eminem songs hit the Net, one of which, "Elevator," contains a lyric directed at Adam Lambert, Lance Bass and Clay Aiken that may be using an anti-gay slur.
"Sorry, Lance, Mr. Lambert and Aiken ain't gonna make it/ They get so mad, when I call them both fake/ It's all these f---ing voices in my head, I can't take it/ Someone shut that f---ing baby up, before I shake it," he raps on the tune — with the "Fake/ It's" combination sounding a lot like a common anti-gay slur.

Fat Joe can celebrate, he finally made it into the top 10.
The Bronx behemoth's group, Terror Squad is number 2 on Billboards Top 10 One Hit Wonders Of The Decade. Joe and the Squad had clubs jumping with their Scott Storch produced hit "Lean Back" back in 2004. After that they never had a song chart higher than #64.
It should come as no surprise to anyone that New York rapper MIMS also made the list at #4. He enjoyed phenomenal success in 2007 with his song "This Is Why I'm Hot" . After that he vanished and is now on the back of milk cartons everywhere.

BET.com Reports
Despite 50 Cent calling Jay-Z Beyonce’s husband and more recently jabbing that he thinks he’s Jesus, rumor has it that the two may actually be working together behind the scenes. A source who recently found himself eavesdropping on a conversation at a certain New York Giant’s office, recently told BET.com that Hov may be unifying the big apple by featuring Fif and Nas on the “Empire State of Mind” remix.
Word is the entire recording as well as conversations between the NY juggernauts will be documented. In addition to continually jabbing Jay, Fif has had issues with Nas for a while. Former friends, the Queens MCs became at odds after Fif called Nas out on The Massacre’s “Piggy Bank.” Word has already been spreading that Nas, who was reportedly slated to appear on the original track, is on deck for the remix.
One thing is sure, the remix would be huge for the city. What do you guys think? Is the rumor true? Can these legends bury the hatchet for the greater good of hip-hop’s birth place? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments.

HipHopWired Reports
While people are still wondering, where are you Yeezy? Kanye West is seeing his name brought back into the limelight, this time for more positive reasons. While Kanye's been somewhat quiet on the music scene he's seeing the countless hours of studio time and production for his debut project paying off.
Kanye has been deemed as the man with the #1 album of the last ten years. According to Entertainment Weekly, Kanye's College Dropout is a classic, so much so that it's worthy of the title of 'top album of the decade.'
The list of ‘Top Albums of the Decade' from the entertainment wire hit the net today and already has the internet abuzz with debate.
Following behind Yeezy on the list is his mentor/ friend/ Roc Nation President, Jay-Z.
Jigga came in at #2 on the list with the very first installment of his Blueprint trilogy, 2001's The Blueprint. Other notables are Big Boi and Andre 3000 of the legendary team OutKast, whose Stankonia album landed at #4.
Entertainment Weekly's List of ‘Top Ten Albums of The Decade' is below:1. The College Dropout, Kanye West (2004)
2. The Blueprint, Jay-Z (2001)
3. Kid A, Radiohead (2000)
4. Stankonia, OutKast (2000)
5. Love And Theft, Bob Dylan (2001)
6. Home, The Dixie Chicks (2002)
7. Funeral, The Arcade Fire (2004)
8. I Am… Sasha Fierce, Beyoncé (2008)
9. FutureSex/LoveSounds, Justin Timberlake, (2006)
10. You Are Free, Cat Power (2003)
Ehhhh this list is a little shaky. For one, that god awful I Am Sasha Fierce is on here, so that immediately shows that something's wrong.
Here's my question though, how'd College Dropout beat Stankonia? I mean it was a solid debut but still…
Oh and where's Eminem? He's outsold just about everyone on this list. I'm just sayin…..

With his group the Black Eye Peas nominated for an impressive six Grammys, including the top prizes of album and record of the year, will.i.am has plenty of reasons to look forward to next month's awards show – something that wasn't necessarily the case during his first Grammy experience.
"I remember that I was nervous," the musician, 34, told PEOPLE about his 2005 appearance. Recalling his Grammy debut while at an event announcing the first-ever Data Awards for electronic music, he said, "I was real nervous. We performed "Where Is the Love." I remember I got up on the mic and said, 'Everybody go out and vote.' "
While the Peas didn't perform on last year's telecast, will.i.am attended – as a contender. "I was nominated for producer of the year award," he said. "I lost to Rick Rubin again, [who] is good to lose to."
Known for unorthodox live collaborations and performances, the Grammy Awards have attracted a host of superstars for duets in past years. "My favorite Grammy moment lately [was] the Prince and Beyoncé performance," will.i.am says, remembering the singers' 2004 duet of "Purple Rain," "just seeing Prince and Beyoncé rocking."
Watch the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards on Jan. 31 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, live on CBS – and catch up on all the news and style from the show on PEOPLE.com!

Rolling Stone Reports
Drake has lined up Jay-Z, Young Jeezy and “Forever” co-stars Kanye West and Lil Wayne to appear on his much-anticipated debut album Thank Me Later, the rapper told MTV News. Backstage at Wednesday’s Grammy Nominations Concert, the MC told Rolling Stone, “My album is slated to come out in March. I’m still working on the album, but they might try to move it up.”
Even without releasing a full album, Rolling Stone’s 2009 Artist to Watch was still nominated for a pair of Grammys, locking up nods in both the Best Rap Song and Best Rap Solo Performance categories for “Best I Ever Had.” It hasn’t been all good news for Drake in 2009, as a leg injury forced the Canadian rapper off Lil Wayne’s America’s Most Wanted tour, but it allowed Drake to instead focus on his debut disc. “It’s just pulling everybody together: I had a wish list for my managers of everybody I wanted involved that stem beyond hip-hop,” Drake told MTV. “I’m trying to pull it all together.”
One person Drake had high on his wish list of collaborators is R&B singer Sade, though it doesn’t appear that the two have recorded together yet. Plus, there was one more mystery guest that Drake was tight-lipped about. “It’s this other one I’m excited about that’s kinda left [field],” Drake told MTV. “It’s gonna be a great project — well-rounded.”
