These days what’s considered fashionable is decided by
the Instagram elite. The newest kicks will casually
appear on the pages of the biggest influencers and
sell out in minutes. The fashionable have an undefeatable
power on Instagram. Seventeen-year-old entrepreneur Joa
Enkin known as Joatheplug wields this power and his love
for everything fashionable is visible on social media.

The fashion sense that Joatheplug displays on social
media can be described as casually laidback, with
trending looks quietly appearing in his candid
Instagram posts. Back in December, he appeared
on his Instagram wearing the recognizable classic
owl hoodie from the October’s Very Own clothing
collection. October’s Very Own (OVO) blew up in
popularity when RnB superstar Drake was seen wearing
the same hoodie that Joatheplug wears. Another Instagram
post earlier this month showed him sporting the currently
trending Flower Hoodie from the Candian singer J Balvin’s
merch collection. The young entrepreneur seems to have
used his ability to casually predict and adopt styles that
will be trending, to enter the sacred circle of the
Instagram elite from influencers to rappers. All of
whom can be seen with him in his various posts on
Instagram, where he casually joins them for a picture
while wearing already and soon-to-be trending looks.

Joatheplug has built connections with trending young
celebrities like Lil Pump and Trippie Redd helping
them enhance both their growth and style. Joatheplug
has established himself in the online marketing space
through exclusive giveaways and collaborations. The
teenage entrepreneur is also becoming known for his
dedication to songwriting and his commitment to putting
his unique stamp on the music industry. Fashion can be
fickle, online, someone can be a fashionista one day and
a fashion victim the next. But Joatheplug seems to have
found a formula that keeps his
trends relevant and enviable.

The music industry is one of the most competitive
industries across the globe. It is safe to say that
getting a break in this space and making heads turn
is a feat very few have been able to accomplish, and
musical duo Buddiez has been the latest addition to
the list. Here, members Justin Escalona and Gianni
Taylor talk about creating their latest hit album.

Hailing from Illinois, Escalona and Taylor have a strong
passion for music that led them to create ‘BUDDIEZ’.
Justin says, “We were inspired by The Chainsmokers.
Hence we kept the songs in the pop/EDM genre.” The
tracklist features seven songs, and Escalona has
sung all of them with the assistance of autotune,
skillfully adapting it to their own unique style.

Founder of popular clothing brand ‘1340 Collective’,
Escalona’s passion for music took a turn when
personalities like Mac Miller and Chance The
Rapper started flaunting their clothes. He met
Taylor through a mutual connection, and the two
of them thought of creating an album simply as a
creative pursuit.

“The idea was born because we thought it would be a
fun experience to work on something we were passionate
about,” says Gianni. He wrote all seven songs, and
they created the album in only two weeks. One week
post-release, the album had gained 200K plays, and
today both of them are a sought-after talent with
full-blown music careers.

They have since started working on a second album, and
the music industry is already speculating about their
new music. With the success of the first, both are
living proof that huge success can be achieved if
one pursues their passion wholeheartedly.

Suso FW, the man with the golden voice, the "Lonesome" superstar, started making music when he was 12. He is an example for every young musician who wants to make it big in the music industry. Suso FW's hard work, dedication, passion, and patience towards music paid off big time when a producer agreed to record his song, "Lonesome." It was a dream-come-true moment for him. He said, "It feels like I'm living my dream and don't want to open my eyes. I never imagined that this day would come because it was beginning to get frustrating at one point. When people reject you so many times, you sometimes doubt your abilities. But I'm fortunate that I didn't give up. And I'll continue to keep working hard and make good music for my fans."
Living a humble life
Stardom often makes celebrities lead extravagant lives. But Suso FW doesn't want to become one of those celebrities. He is a grounded guy who loves to enjoy the simplest things in life. A big part of still leading a humble lifestyle comes from his upbringing. His parents never taught him to ill-treat others or make improper use of money. They were not rich like the parents of other kids in Suso FW's school. But they always taught Suso FW to remain grounded no matter what happens.
Apart from good parenting, Suso FW received massive support from his parents when he struggled to become a musician. His teenage life involved tons of rejections. He was making good music but wasn't getting the right opportunity. His father once said, "Mahdi is a good musician. I know it in my heart. He often plays his tracks in his room, and we can overhear them. I don't know why producers kept rejecting his music. Sure, I'm no expert, but I like his tracks. And I'm not saying this because I'm his father. I genuinely love the music that he creates. It is sad to see him coming back without a contract, but I think he will continue working hard. He is not the type to give us so quickly."
Finding success
It took Suso FW seven years to get his first big break. JP Soundz and Lone Wolf decided to produce his song, and it was a massive hit. Hundreds of comments flooded his YouTube channel. People started following him on Instagram and Snapchat. His YouTube subscriber list jumped to nearly 2,000 within a few months. It's the type of success that Suso FW had always imagined but couldn’t achieve because of roadblocks that came his way. But seven years of struggle seemed worth every second after his song topped the charts. The superstar said, "I don't want this dream to end. If I could just close my eyes and freeze these moments, I would be able to live with them forever. I never imagined that people would like my songs globally. It's a special experience for me."
Suso FW plans to keep making music and starring in his music videos. It's what keeps him and his fans happy.

A dream remains just a dream if you don’t work towards it
and his dream almost felt like a dormant passion until he
moved from his hometown. Young Miller has always had a
passion for clothing design and seeing as music runs
in his family, he naturally leaned towards music.

Growing up around great musicians in his family like
Master P, Young Miller’s journey in the music industry
began over a decade ago. He has taken his time to learn
from Master P and his cousins before venturing out as a
solo artist.

Young Miller has often said he owes his music career
to his uncle who has nurtured his skills and given
him the much-needed nudge into music. Watching his
family members before him succeed in the business,
Young Miller has watched their successes and set
backs and learned from each to launch a successful
music career.
When he started, he was a member of the Rich Boyz
which shaped him into the talent he is today. He
has since found his home in hip-hop and released
singles that have debuted on charts and he is
ready to top charts with his upcoming projects.

According to Young Miller, his uncle’s influence
is largely present in his music. His personal style
is also represented which gives his music a unique
edge. Looking into his future in the industry, he
is working towards releasing an album and gearing
up to the release of his single that is a sure banger.

Music has taken centerstage in Young Miller’s life,
however, his love for clothing design is apparent in
his personal style and choice of accessories. He has
all the makings of a breakout star and his music
carries a global appeal with it.

Asked about his life before music, Young Miller is
quick to shout out his home New Orleans but is glad
to have left as there wasn’t much of a future for
him there. His life changed as soon as he moved and
got closer to his uncle’s business.

He credits his discipline and drive to his uncle as
his mentor. Where next for Young Miller? Not to give
away too much but he promises exciting things to come
for his fans. He is dropping the ‘watch this space’
for skeptics and critics and working even harder to
grow his career and reward his fans.

The music industry is a winding maze for many artists.
Many end up giving up on something they love so dearly
because they can’t navigate the industry. However, Paul
believes that more artists can learn how to thrive in
the industry with the proper education.

The universality of music is one of the reasons why Paul
Hernandez got into music. This, coupled with his immense
love for music and being talented in it. Paul is a
Canadian recording artist, music aficionado, and
songwriter. His passion for music flows in his
blood, and it is evident in his sound and lyrics.

Hernandez has been credited with a unique sound and an
imaginative style that speaks to his balanced creative
influences. Being a millennial, Paul is a voice to guide
many musicians in the industry, especially young up-and
-coming artists.

Having been in the music industry for a while, Paul
realized the importance of educating people on how
to sell their music. With the digital space being
a prevalent point of music consumption, that became
the premise of his best-selling book ‘How to Sell
Your Music Online.’

A little-known fact by many artists, you can make money
from having your music on online platforms. In his book,
Hernandez reveals some of the industry's best-kept
secrets to help musicians get compensation for their
art so they can continue to produce more music.

At 27 years old, Paul has observed and studied enough
about the music industry to map out his path. He is not
abandoning music for anything; in fact, he is working
harder at developing his sound and
being a master of his craft.

One of the things he highlights in his book is the value
of consistency and having a passion for pursuing what you
want. That passion will drive you into seeking ways to
better yourself, just like he has.

Besides making music and sound that earns him accolades,
he is especially dedicated to educating others on how to
effectively release their music. He believes that every
song deserves celebration, and how you release it can
affect this. Impactful music should go hand in hand with
success.

If you haven’t had the chance to peruse his book, it’ll
do you a world of good to have a peek, especially if
you’re in the music industry. His insight into the
industry and some of the secrets to help musicians
succeed have proven quite valuable.

Artists are often overwhelmed with a lot of work, and that
is where managers step in. Artist managers shape their
clients' careers in so many ways, such as counseling
them on professional decisions and opportunities,
marketing their songs, organizing tours and
interviews, among others.

George Dickinson, alias G-Money is a top producer and
well-known artist manager working at Grade A productions.

He has worked with notable artists in the industry so far,
among them Juice WRLD and The Kid LAROI. According to
him, getting a chance to work with top artists has
been fun as it has helped him grow career-wise and
increased his experience. Since he has always been
passionate about music, he says this helps him
navigate the industry with ease and motivates him
to be better.

As an artist manager, he says it is essential you get
to know their goals, their type of music, and target
audience. Your work as a manager is working towards
making their goals a reality by getting them deals
that will help them grow. He tries to keep his
artists away from distractions and frustrations
in attempting to be ahead of the game and solving
conflicts that are solvable without the
artists' help.

Just like any other career, artist management also has
its own share of challenges. As George puts it, the
biggest challenge is helping the artist grow. This
requires a lot of patience as you will get turned
down a lot when trying to look for deals or coll-
aborations for the artist. Many people and even
record labels tend to shy away from signing
upcoming artists in this industry because
most of them are not well known.

As an artist manager, George works toward making the
industry a better place for artists and managers.
Music piracy is not a new thing to artists as
most of them have been hit by it. According to
George, it is quite saddening that after all
the hard work and effort to shoot to fame,
the artist now has to deal with piracy
issues. Curbing music piracy is a bit
hard, but nothing is impossible by
working hand in hand with each other.

Artist management is a career like any other and
requires skills and experience to be one. They say
music is love, and what is life without love. As an
artist manager, you should work towards creating a
suitable workspace for your artists as this will
motivate them and inspire them to do better and
get more creative.

Lee Alexander is a Korean musician who is committed to taking his music to the world. A performer
since high school, Lee has to his credit several solo shows performed in bars, malls, music stages
around Asia. In this interview, he talks about his inspirations, hopes, and future plans.

Q. What inspired you to make music?
A. It’s something I have loved forever. I remember listening to Eminem and feeling incredibly inspired
by his work and life. I loved the idea that words and music can be used to convey some of the most
complex emotions and complicated problems. Like humor, music has a way of elevating a cause to a
place where it can be examined with openness and without fear or prejudice. And being a child of the
digital era I was stunned by the magic that older musicians had weaved into their music with limited
resources. I wanted to test myself, know who I am and music seemed to be the best way to do it.

Q. What was your experience performing live?
A. It was surreal, to say the least. I realized that no matter how confident you are in your music, there’s
always room for that initial nervousness when you play live. That’s where I learned the importance of
practice because even when you feel that your nerves are melting, the practice takes over and
soon you become one with the groove and when that happens, the audience connects with you
at a different level. It’s humbling and intoxicating at the same time.

Q. What plans do you have for the future?
A. I want to dabble in more genres, produce more music, and learn more about the roots of music.
Essentially I want to create a space for myself where I am constantly learning and producing music.

The music industry has seen the realization and defeat of countless dreams, with hopeful
musicians depending on their talent and a little bit of luck to help them reach success. But the
question remains, how can an aspiring musician break into this industry? Hip-hop artist Jesus
Brillo launched his music career in 2016 and he has experience with what it takes to succeed in
the music business; here he offers his 5 pro tips for aspiring musicians hoping to make it big in
the industry.

1. Study your idols
Brillo shares that the first place you should look at when you are searching for inspiration is
where your musical idols found it. He advises finding out how the musicians that you look up to
reached their level of success. Brillo says that studying those who have made it to the top with
the same style of music that you perform, can act as a guide for how to break into the industry.

2. Practice
This, Brillo says, is one of the most important steps that a musician can take to reach the top.
He advises making time every day to focus on your music, whether that means writing songs or
practicing an instrument. It is essential to master your skills as a musician before you try to
make a name for yourself in the music industry.

3. Invest in your talent
As well as practicing, Brillo shares that providing yourself with the best tools to showcase your
talent is fundamental to reach success. This, he elaborates, is especially important if you are
using your own equipment to record your music; you could have incredible range and talent,
but if your sound equipment is sub-par you may never get your big break.

4. Prepare for criticism
Brillo advises that you shouldn’t be performing live or sending out your work until you are fully
prepared to handle any criticism that you might receive. He emphasizes that the music industry
can be cutthroat; with so many hopefuls trying to make it to the top you need to be ready to
take any constructive criticism that is sent your way.

5. Be determined
Brillo claims that of all the words of wisdom that an aspiring musician can receive, this advice
will take them the farthest! He shares that countless music artists could have had an incredible
career if they had just stayed determined and kept working toward success. Brillo advises
looking again to your idols to stay focused on your goal; discovering how long it may have taken
them to strike it rich can be inspiring.

Jesus Brillo shares that overall, becoming a successful musician is possible, but it will take a lot
of hard work, dedication, and self-belief. If you can foster this strength within yourself and
commit to making music your full-time profession, then he believes that you will surely find
your place in the music industry and achieve the success that you deserve.

Hip-hop is regarded as one of the most wide-ranging
cultural movements. A good deal of hip-hop communicates
openly and in depth about aspects of urban hustle and
poverty. And the hold that hip-hoppers who speak about
street culture have on young individuals is amazing.
Thais Gonzalez is one such hip-hop artist whose
unique beats is turning heads. Here’s her story.

Thais Gonzalez has become a name to reckon with in the
hip-hop space. Previously known as “Princess Thais”,
she has now gained popularity among her fans as “Sweet
Té”(@iamsweette). Before setting the hip-hop world on
fire with her amazing and distinctive beats, Thais was
already a sensation in the world of
modelling, music, and poetry.

Thais’ singles which established her as a rising hip-hop
star were “Took His Money” and “Heat”. They were released
in 2018 and 2019 respectively and instantly caught on
across America and popular radio stations like Hot 97.
Thais credits the success of her singles to the legendary
Hip Hop land rapper Parrish Smith of EPMD who produced as
well as starred in both of them. No sooner were the
singles released than they started setting the clubs
in the United States on fire, making people groove to
Thais’ unique, rad beats. Soon, her hip-hop numbers
landed in the list of the most heard singles.

In 2020, Thais’ remix to Felix Felgado’s latest single
“On My New York Sh*t” got a grand release which put her
popularity on a spurt. Thais is also known for her
appearances in many music videos with famous artists
like Rich Homie Quan and Rick Ross.

What differentiates Thais from other hip-hop artists?
She answers, “I am not competing with anyone but myself.
I respect all artists and learn from them. Perhaps that
is what enables me to tune with them easily and
collaborate with top hip-hop artists.”

music styles was influenced by Mac, Dre, Tupac, Brotha Lynch, E-40, and many others.
When an auto accident and DUI, almost cost him his life, Aaron started a journey of
self-reflection and decided to move forward with his passion for music and his work
as a music producer. When asked what he would be doing if he wasn’t a producer?
Aaron’s reply was, “Probably going crazy, music is more than just music, it’s
therapy to me. I can release all my emotions through the keys.” His dream
is to produce Grammy hits and his motto is “never stop learning
and never stop grinding.”

1) What made you want to be a producer?

I used to have rap battles in the back room at my house
when I was a youngster about the age of 16 or 17. I think
we had the first FL studios. When I started making beats
they were trash but then we started taking instrumentals
and battling off them just for fun.

Quality wasn’t good at all but I didn’t know anything about
the music production side of things. I was living life in
the fast lane, got into a car accident and got my DUI in
which my car was totaled; I was lucky to be alive
and walking thankfully.

After that incident I decided to evaluate my life. I decided
to go and get my GED and go to school for music production
since I loved music so much. In the midst of all this
as well I had a son on the way to be born.

2) How was your life growing up?

I was hard headed growing up and a troublemaker. My parents
divorced before I was born which had a major impact on my life.

I was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. When I was 12 years old
I moved from Portland, Oregon to San Jose, California. While in
California I was having problems and my mom sent me to go live
with my dad in Portland, Oregon.

At the age of 14 years old my life changed for the worse. I got
more reckless and created chaos for myself and the people around
me. I'm not proud of my past but I know that’s what molded me to
be the man that I am today for not only myself
but also for my family.

3) Did you always wanna become a producer?

No I started out just rapping and freestyling actually.
I came to the conclusion later on in my life that I
couldn’t rap haha and my friends would say the same
thing. I then said why don't I just start making beats.

This way I can still be apart of the industry I love
which is the music industry. I started taking my music
producing career seriously in 2011.

4) Which producers inspired you to become a producer?

Dr.Dre, Timberland, Syko, The Mechanix, Jim Jonsin, and many others just to name a few.

5) Give us 5 tips you’d give other upcoming producers?

1. Stay focused don’t get distracted.
2. Study the music business.
3. Read before signing anything. If you need to let a lawyer look over it.
4. Never give up, stay grinding, and always keep studying.
5. Learn to communicate, be patient, and be understanding with others.

6) What made you start your own clothing brand and what is it called?

Covid affected my ability to work and take care of my family.
I figured why not start selling clothes. This way I could branch
out my A-Laced Productionz brand in different other avenues.
To help bring in some extra income plus with clothes it's a
promotion that keeps on going all year round.

A-Laced Productionz is the name and it's available on my
personal site. I also started several others like King Ap,
Queen AP Apparel, and I also partnered along with my
friend shout out John with his own clothing brand
Mo Chedda Records which is also a record label
which he owns. You can find all these on my site
alacedproductionz.com

6) Are you a gamer? If yes which do you prefer PlayStation or Xbox?
Give your gamer tag if you wish as well.

Yes and Xbox my gamer tag is apkilla211.

7) Are you working with any artists right now?

I'm working on a few projects right now with
Too Deep, Dub Twenty Inches, Strap from Mansion
of Mayhem, and many others to be announced soon.

8) What can we expect to see or hear from A-Laced Productionz in 2021?

I'm gonna be releasing new music, clothing, and much
more. I'm building a empire with my management JamMarMoguls!

9) Are there any artist's you’d like to work with that you haven’t worked with yet?

I am willing to work any and all serious artist's that wanna
collaborate with me and grow with me. I just LOVE creating music.

>br>
10) Do you have any tips for upcoming artist's for when they contact you?

1. Have a budget for what you are trying to accomplish.
2. Know the music business.
3. Always be humble, honest, and not cocky.
4. Be professional, don't just send me random links or messages.
5. Learn to communicate, be patient, and be understanding with others.

11) If artists wanna work with you. How can they get in contact with you or your management?

For Serious inquiries & Booking Contact my management
Jamaica Johnson at email: Jammarmoguls@gmail.com

12) Where can the readers connect with you on social media?

13) If you had one message to tell your supporters, what would it be?

Never give up stay grinding!

14) What type of vibes do you set to make a good beat?

I don’t set a vibe I just create. I start by playing
a few chords and then build from there.

15) Do you wanna give any shout outs?

Special shout out to my family, fans/supporters, and
my management and team of moguls at JamMarMoguls.
Shout out to my family the Mo Chedda Records Camp,
Dub Twenty Inches, Too Deep, and of course gotta give
a shout out to Dillon Cash for helping bring my vision to
reality with my site and many other ideas I had.

On March 11, 2020, the entertainment industry went off script. That evening marked the onset of COVID-19 and played out like a fiasco movie written by some terrible Hollywood writer. Lord Ivan provides valuable insights into the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic on the entertainment sector. Let’s delve.

Lord Ivan backs it up to the evening of March 11, 2020, when two major events set off shockwaves across the entertainment industry. One was the United States’ president declaring ban on European travel, and the second was actor Tom Hanks tweeting from a cinema set that he had tested positive for Coronavirus! As a result, thousands of television and film production companies came to a grinding halt.

Lord Ivan says almost one year from the onset of Coronavirus, things are still dicey. Lord Ivan shares that while many theaters, theme parks, and live entertainment spaces
remain shut as per Government guidelines, those
permitted to open are seeing little to
no footfall whatsoever..

Lord Ivan expresses that at least a disaster movie
ends with a resolution after two hours, but the
stark reality for the entertainment industry is
a rather long duration of triage. The entertainment
industry is also contemplating how the new normal
would actually be.

Lord Ivan explains, “Entertainment sector leans
heavily on constructive consumer sentiment as well
as social dynamism. So when a disruption of this
scale occurs, which forces people to stay
indoors — whether by choice or by the
norm — it is an existential challenge
for the entertainment industry.”

Lord Ivan shares yet another important insight. He says that even after people in the entertainment industry start to rehire thousands of those who have lost their jobs, the grave repercussions of COVID-19 will impact how much a consumer is willing to dole out for entertainment options like live performances and cinema.

Lord Ivan points out that while COVID-19 has brought
live entertainment avenues to a grinding halt, the
streaming arm of the entertainment industry is
witnessing a huge spike — courtesy of streaming
organizations like Netflix and Spotify coming up
with unique, innovative solutions to entertain
people during the lockdown.

Lord Ivan is a music and entertainment aficionado whose
largest performance so far has been opening a sold-out
event for the three-time Grammy award winner - Nelly.
Currently, he is working with some platinum producers
on some major upcoming releases.
