NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — It won’t be a dog’s life for a Tennessee canine whose owner recently died.

Lulu, an 8-year-old border collie, will be living the good life in Nashville after inheriting $5 million in her owner’s will, WTVF-TV reported.

Martha Burton, Lulu’s caretaker, told the station Lulu’s owner, Bill Dorris, was a successful businessman who wasn’t married and died late last year. His will states the money should be put into a trust for Lulu’s care. It allows for Burton to be reimbursed for reasonable monthly expenses in the care of Lulu.

“He just really loved the dog,” said Burton, who was friends with Dorris and would take care of the dog when he traveled.

She says she doesn’t know if she could ever spend $5 million on Lulu.

“Well, I’d like to try,” she said with a smile.

Dorris owned land along Interstate 65 where a controversial statue of Confederate Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest is located. The fate of the statue & the rest of the estate may be determined in probate court.

With his head bandaged and left arm in a sling, Troy Ave, walked out of a hospital under his own power Monday night, December 26, a day after being ambushed by a gunman in Brooklyn, New York.

The BSB Records boss suffered a gunshot wound to the back and was grazed in the head, when a man with a hoodie pulled down over his face approached his red Maserati while it was at an intersection and opened fire at around 5:00 in the afternoon on Christmas Day.

ABC 7 New York reports that after being wounded Troy put his car in reverse and while traveling at a high rate of speed, jumped a median, before being hit by another car.

He was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Doctors made the decision not to take the bullets out at this time, leaving the rapper with one still lodged in his back and a fragment in his head.

Troy will have surgery at a later date to have them removed.

“He is very sore,” his lawyer, John Stella told the New York Daily News. “The doctors told the family that he came dangerously close to having a spinal cord injury — but it looks like there’s no lasting damage from the wound track.”

Troy's girlfriend was in the car with him at the time, but escaped injury.

“DIVINE ORDER. My God is real. We were covered,” she wrote Monday on Facebook.

Police have no suspects at this time.

Shad Moss a.k.a. Bow Wow has parted ways with the house that Bryan "Birdman" Williams and Ronald "Slim" Williams built.

Moss signed with Cash Money Records in 2009, but never released an album on the label.

The rapper released a Facebook video saying the split was amicable and explained his decision to move on.

"This is a peaceful situation," Moss said. "This is me waking up and looking myself in the mirror, analyzing myself and asking myself, 'What do want out of your career? What do you wanna do?' I have so much music that needs to be heard. That wants to be heard by my fans. And I feel like it's unfair. I've been quiet now for four years. I didn't wanna say nothing because I wanted to make sure the time was right. And I wanted to make sure that I said what I wanted to say, it was said correctly. With that being said I feel like I had to part ways."

The "Fresh Azimiz" rapper went on to say that one of the most frustrating things with his Cash Money situation was not being able to release the many songs he recorded.

"I wanna dictate when my music come out. I'm tired of going to the studio to make records and then I listen to them. 'Cuz then they get old. Then when y'all ask for new music I don't wanna hear it 'cuz I've been listening to it for two or three months. I just can't be held up up by nobody. It's as simple as that. I got a daughter. I gotta family I gott provide for. Why not go back to the creators and masters who branded me? That's Snoop Dogg and Jermaine Dupri. This is gonna make my new situation even more monumental. I wanted to be my own man. I wanted to be a boss and call my own shots."
