Video After The Jump Yelawolf is primed to become the next one of the next rappers to blow. Good Fella Media caught up with the Alabama native and chopped it up about the obstacles he's faced trying to get in the game, and where he's headed in his career. "After South By Southwest, which was a music festival that we performed at. We did like nine shows...and Fader Fort being a turning point. During that whole run of shows, we flew directly to L.A. and signed with Interscope," Yela told GFM. "And since then life has been fast forward. But I'm thankful man, because I remember when it was slow motion. Just sitting at the crib wanting to do something, hungry to be out there...so I'm busy and blessed." Even though things are looking up with his new deal, Yela still takes time to reflect on the struggle. "I can't believe I'm finally taking those steps," Yela says. "There were so many nights I was just f*cked up at the crib or in the studio like 'aint nobody ever gonna get this sh*t, it's just too weird. They aint gonna understand where I'm from and this angle.' But hard work pays...just stay in people's face with your music and you dedicate your artwork to being genuine, and putting out material that is credible. And keeping the integrity of the music first, it pays man." With his new album Trunk Muzik: 0-60 getting ready to drop October 26, Yela is ready for big things. "Any artist that tells you they don't wanna go bigger, bigger and bigger, they're lying man. That feeling can't be replaced."
