Fight (75)

I'm actually surprised we don't see this happen more often.

A news crew from Sacramento tv station Fox40 was attacked by angry family members of a shooting victim.

27-year-old Chester Jackson was shot and killed in a parking lot outside an IHOP early morning Sunday (February 20). His family gathered in the parking lot and set up a makeshift memorial. When reporter John Lobertini and photojournalist Rebecca Little approached to see if anyone wanted to talked, things got ugly.

"This is one of the hazards of the business but we didn't expect what we encountered here today," said Lobertini.

Before things escalated into violence, one woman is seen yelling at the news crew, who didn't back down. Then someone is seen pulling Little to the ground by her hair as they attempted to stop her from filming.

"When I fell on the ground I was protecting myself, and then she kicked me and I was still kinda paralyzed, and I hear my reporter John say, 'get up, get up,'" Little told Fox40

It was just an unfortunate situation for everyone. I know I wouldn't want some guy sticking a mic in my face right after a relative was killed. Hopefully the news crew won't try to press any charges.

At one point you can hear family members respond to her saying she was kicked by replying "nobody hit you."

"I know people are going through rough times but that's still my job. I wasn't trying to get in their face and be disrespectful," Little said.

Video After The Jump (CBS) Girls fighting girls on tape is nothing new to the Internet. But, as CBS News Correspondent Jeff Glor reports, one video, of a particularly ugly fight, is grabbing lots of attention: The mother of one of the two teen battlers allegedly encouraged her daughter, and is facing criminal charges. The local sheriff says April Newcomb, 39, should instead have been trying to stop or prevent the fight, and she's been formally accused of child abuse.

The brutal brawl between 16-year-olds, in Palmetto, Fla., was apparently over a boy. Their names are being withheld due to their ages. Many in the cheering crowd came with cell phones, eager , Glor says, to post the video on the Web. Authorities say Newcomb can be seen in the background, and she can be heard trying to lend her daughter support. A spokesman for the Manatee County Sheriff's Office, Dave Bristow, said, "We're basically in shock (that) a parent can sit there and watch their child and not intervene. … It's pretty obvious this is child abuse." Police quote Newcomb as admitting in an interview that she was "wrong, and I understand where y'all are coming from. I think unfortunately it was going to happen no matter what." It appears Newcomb knew about the fight before it even began. She apparently can be seen walking to the scene with her daughter to confront the other girl. The fight lasted about three minutes.

If convicted, Newcomb faces up to five years in prison. She's free on $15,000 bail. Police say nobody was seriously hurt in the melee. Psychologist Dr. Jeff Gardere, a contributor to HealthGuru.com, told "Early Show" co-anchor Maggie Rodriguez Newcomb's alleged behavior was "criminal. It was atrocious. It was absolutely stupid. And I think, at this point, she realizes what she did was wrong. She got caught up in the moment. "Good parenting does not dictate that you egg your child on. You work with your child on and teach them conflict resolution skills. "And, I have to point out, she was afraid her daughter might get hurt in the back of the head, because she had a previous head injury, and … she (was) being hit with rabbit punches in the back of the head several times. So this is absolutely horrific. " … The parenting was non-existent here. We've seen this before, where parents get caught up; they're living vicariously through their children. So I guess she wants her daughter to win because, in her own way, she's helping her daughter with her self-esteem. But it's absolutely the wrong thing. Maybe she wants herself to win to say she's got a champion on her hands. But it is absolutely atrocious." He was also sharply critical of the girls' school, Palmetto High School, for failing to take action after the fight. Source: CBS twitter-5d.gif

Video After The Jump ST. FRANCIS, WISCONSIN - St. Francis Police are looking for a suspect who held up a bank, but was foiled - and tackled - by a customer. The robbery happened just after 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Associated Bank on the 3700 block of South Kinnickinnic Drive. A masked armed robber came charging into the bank, but a customer sprang into action. Raw video from the bank shows that the person's face was covered, with a bag in hand. Video After The Jump These dudes are straight comedy. This looks like one of those after school scraps, where you set up a time and location and all your friends show up. Got a decent sized crowd and everything. When one dude lands a lucky right hand and puts the other guy on his ass, that's when the f*ckery starts. The winner starts celebrating, and giving out high fives like he just won a championship belt. Where the hell they do that at? lol. twitter-5d.gif

Video After The Jump On the evening of Sept. 7, 1996, Mike Tyson, the WBC heavyweight champion, attempted to take Bruce Seldon’s WBA title at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. At this point in his career, Tyson’s fights had become somewhat of a cultural phenomenon, where the ever present hype of the professional boxing scene would come face to face with the worlds of big business, Hollywood, and hip hop. Sitting ringside was controversial rapper Tupac Shakur. Shakur and Tyson were friends, a feeling of kinship linked them as each rose to stardom from poverty only to be thrown in prison. Following Tyson’s victory, Shakur and “Iron Mike” were to celebrate at an after party, but the rap star never arrived. Shakur was brutally gunned down later that night, and the scene in Las Vegas quickly turned from would-be celebratory revelry to ill fated and inopportune tragedy. Director Reggie Bythewood, with the full cooperation of Mike Tyson, will tell not only the story of that infamous night but of the remarkable friendship between Tyson and Tupac ESPN twitter-5d.gif

Video After The Jump A security guard in Santa Fe Springs, California is lucky to be alive today, after batting with two would be thieves. This all went down at a AP Natural Solutions, A medical marijuana store. Two men enter the store pretending to be customers, one pulls out a gun while his partner manages to take the security guard's gun. That's when the security guard made either a very brave, or very dumb decision when he starts scrapping with the robbers. The three go at it, until the gunmen try to get out of the room they're in, but the door is locked. One of the robbers starts firing bullets at the door handle in an unsuccessful attempt to get it to unlock. Finally the security guard lets them out. Other than catching some shrapnel from the bullets that were fired, the guard didn't suffer any major injuries. The thieves only escaped with the guard's gun and holster. The security guard has a lot of heart, but the weed in that store isn't worth his life. Hopefully nothing like this happens to him again, but if it does he should not only give the thieves the weed and money, but also help them bag it up and live to see another day. twitter-5d.gif

You can see the black dude is clearly outweighed, but he still handles his business and puts fat boy on his a** in the end.

Some people just don't know when to stop and walk away.

A group of females start scrapping in a parking lot. Well, really it's a bunch of h*es including a pregnant one.

None of them have any shame as they go at it, the pregnant gets kicked in the stomach, just wildness.

As one fight ends another one starts brewing as the pregnant chick refuses to just STFU. She keeps talking trash to one of the chicks until her man/pimp gets involved.

The dude and his group of females jump the pregnant chick, kicking, hair pulling and punching her in the face.

Damn....just..........damn

Ne-Yo ran into a little bit of trouble over the weekend in Oslo, Norway.

According to various reports, Ne-Yo and his crew were having dinner at Emil & Samuel following a concert. The group was having a good time drinking and partying when a patron at the restaurant grabbed a female in the entourage.

That's when things spiraled out of control. A bus boy somehow also became involved after walking over. He was allegedly knocked unconscious after being punched in the face by an unknown person in the crew.

Ne-Yo did not throw a punch or get involved in the scuffle.

After leaving the restaurant, Ne-yo and his associates were detained and searched by Oslo police.

"All in all this is an unfortunate situation involving the artist, Emil & Samuel and the concert management," said the owner of Emil & Samuel.

Expect a lawsuit or two to pop up in the near future.
