50 Cent and Fat Joe had one of the longest running beefs in rap history. The two were able to come together like men and squash the beef at the Chris Lighty tribute during the 2012 BET Hip Hop Music Awards.

"I thought somebody would die. Forget the rap. Forget the WWF. I thought this beef would never end without somebody dying. Whether it's TS or whether it's his [crew]. It was gonna end like that, " Joe told Sway on MTV's RapFix yesterday. "He had a lot of respect for Chris Lighty. I had a lot of respect and we went over there and did the tribute together. And no disrespect to him in the universe, but he put his hand out. So when a man sticks out his hand for me and he says, 'yo, it's for Chris, it's peace.' It's peace and I don't ever anticipate ever having a problem again with him in my life."

Video After The Jump

Legendary producer Mannie Fresh sat down with Vlad TV recently and offered some words of wisdom for rappers entering the game.

"If you tell something to somebody and it's a lie it will come back and bite you in the a$$," Mannie said. "It's a lot of kids in hip hop that feel like that gotta tell the same story. 'We grew up poor. I'm from the streets. My life was horrible.' If that's not your story, dude you don't have to say that sh*t. If you went to college there's nothing wrong with that. Hip hop is the truth. There's nothing wrong with saying I grew up normal."

12350082285?profile=original

Mannie was asked by Vlad to pick his top classic albums from a producer's point of view. The former Cash Money Records artist had a short list.

He picked 50 Cent's "Get Rich or Die Tryin," Eminem's "The Slim Shady LP," and the first album Kanye West produced for Jay-Z. Mannie didn't say the album name, but that would have to be "The Blueprint" because it was the first album Yeezy handled the bulk of the production for Hov. (Feel free to throw out your own ideas if you feel Mannie is referring to a different album).

12350082676?profile=original

Lastly, Mannie tackles a debate that has gone on for years, and will continue to go on until the end of time. Who was better? 2Pac or Biggie Smalls?

"Biggie dude...I haven't heard a rapper yet with worldplay like dude," explained Mannie. "The pictures that he painted. It made you wanna hold on to know what the second verse was gonna be. Dude was definitely the Alfred Hitchcock of rap."

Video After The Jump

Scott Storch has had his ups and downs in his personal life, but there has never been any denying his incredible talent as a producer.

Now clean and sober, Scott has been back in the lab working on new music.

12350072664?profile=original

He sat down with AllHipHop to talk about his recent work on Dr. Dre's Detox album

Scott said that he and Dre had created a signature West Coast sound on Chronic 2001 that he felt like they should duplicate on Detox. Instead, Dre has experimented with different sounds. Hopefully the project will be released at some point.

12348943671?profile=original

Storch has also found success with 50 Cent. He produced "Candy Shop" and "Just a Lil Bit" off of The Massacre album. He's interested in working with him again.

"You know what? 50, he's ill," Storch said. For some reason, we can’t make a bad record. Every time me and him make a record, it’s some f*cking dope, fly sh*t. The success rate is 100% with us doing stuff together.

As he prepares to release his first mixtape under the G-Unit banner this summer titled Street Fame, Kidd Kidd is climbing up the ladder of success one killer verse at a time.

The Rida Gang leader recently sat down with HipHopDX to speak on the subject of being left off of the final version of 50 Cent's "We Up" single.

"[The] first thing I want to tell to people is that it wasn’t a 50 Cent decision," Kidd Kidd said. "A lot of people come and they be like, ‘Yo, 50 [Cent] took you off the song,’ it wasn’t no 50 Cent decision. That’s what it is, it’s all politics you know what I’m sayin', the game is politics. It’s just a blessing to even be brought up in that same conversation because the song is a great song, it was a blessing to even just be a part of that. It is what it is, you keep moving forward. It’s not like that’s the only good song in the world.

The New Orleans emcee next addressed the recent death of his good friend Tyson G. Strip.

12350048472?profile=original

It’s so deep. He was fam with my moms you know what I’m sayin', when that situation happened to me, when I was shot up [it happened] in front of my mom, in front of her house. And he got killed right down the corner from my mom’s house so...I got the call as soon as it happened, you know, because my mom was right there," Kidd explained. “Damn, New Orleans really has this hold over you, it really does and you never realize it [until] it’s too late, you feel me? Like, for real, most people that realize it are either in jail now or they didn’t make it out of a life or death situation. Like me myself, it took for me to get shot up to really realize I’m f*ckin’ trippin’. I got a whole future here, like I don’t have to be out there like that, you know what I’m sayin’? As for [Tyson G-Strip]...he just got caught up in that life. You know man, prayers [and] condolences and everything goes out to his sister, ‘cause he didn’t have much family, we was his family. Like I said, he was livin’ with my moms [and] livin’ with his girl, shout out to his son.
