Video After The Jump

Warren G and DJ Skee chop it up about the song that defines a genre in music.

"Regulate" ushered in a brand new style of music. When Warren labeled the sound g-funk it stuck.

Now with the passing of Nate Dogg, the man that blessed "Regulate" and countless other hits with his golden vocals, Warren steps back and reflects on the recording process of that hit record and reveals the vocals were recorded in a closet.

Pusha T Talks Ending Beef With Lil Wayne

12348809901?profile=original

Eyebrows were raised during the listening session of Pusha’s Fear Of God, where a Weezy shout was heard on one of the tracks. Pusha tells Complex why he decided to put the fued in the casket.

“Ever since Lil Wayne went in to jail, that whole little stint [between me and him] is really dead and over with. I don’t have any ill will towards Wayne, Cash Money, or any of them. There was definitely a time period when I felt a certain way [about him], but as of right now I don’t. That’s just where I once was. I don’t even like speaking on it. [On Fear of God] I actually said, ‘They had freed Weezy, congratulations.’ When I seen Wayne in Miami, I told him, ‘Congratulations on getting out of jail.’

12348817255?profile=originalPetey Pablo is going to have a long time behind bars to think about why in the hell he tried to carry a 9mm pistol onto a plane in Raleigh-Durham International Airport last year.

That he did it on 9/11 (September 11, 2010) makes it even more puzzling.

The "Freak-A-Leak" rapper was on his way to the MTV's Video Music Awards when the gun and ammunition were found in his carry on luggage.

On top of that the pistol was stolen.

Yesterday (March 16), Petey struck a plea deal with prosecutors in Raleigh, North Carolina. They agreed to drop 2 charges if Petey plead guilty to possession of a stolen firearm.

The result is a possible 10-year sentence for Pablo, who is already a convicted felon.

Jay-Z & Beyonce To Duet On Detox?

12348810062?profile=originalOne of the hardest things for Dr Dre to do these days is pair down the list of songs and features for 'Detox.'

One person we were pretty sure would be on the disc was Jay-Z. The track "Under Pressure" brought Brooklyn and Compton together laster year. Now there's a rumor Houston could be added to that mix.  Beyonce and Jay might collaborate together with Dre for the project.

"Jay and Dre have recorded their verses with the chorus left open for Beyoncé to sing," a source told The Sun "The producer has worked on Detox for over a decade. He wanted the couple together."

It will Be Beyonce and Jay's 1st song together since 2007's "Pray" off Jigga's 'American Gangster' LP.

Dudes have really started to disrespect former Death Row Records CEO, Suge Knight.

Knight is having all kinds of issues trying to handle n*ggas that just want to test him for the hell of it. Apparently getting knocked out at club's messes up your tough guy reputation.

Suge's latest scrap happened last Saturday (March 12) at Aria Hotel in Vegas. A little guy walks up to Knight and says "I can take you" prompting Knight to start throwing blows according to TMZ.

After a couple of minutes of swinging and missing at each other, both parties get seperated and go on their own way.

Rihanna found a way to turn a horrible situation into a positive and she's more than willing to talk about it.

In the new issue of Vogue, Riri rehashes the Chris Brown assault situation, saying it gave he music an edge.

"It actually gave me a lot of liberation. What I mean is, I was able to tap into the personal part of my music. I started to tell stories through my music that were actually my stories.

"My album before that, there was still a little bit of protection, there was still an innocence to me. And what that time in my life did was kind of wake people up - it's not all a bed of roses. My life is like yours.

"It made me look at the world in a much bigger way because my life was suddenly superduper magnified; all eyes were on me. I needed that in my life to know how to say, 'F**k off!' To know how to keep my head high even in the worst of situations. I keep using the word unapologetic, but there's a freedom that has come with all of that. Where you feel like you don't have to make an excuse for being yourself."

In other Rihanna news, the singer has been rumored to be on a list of singers/actresses for 'The Bodyguard' remake.
