The Source is rolling out two covers for it's 16th annual Power 30 Issue (August/September), Big Sean nabs one cover while Juicy J and Dr. Luke will be on the other.
Check out an excerpt from Sean's cover story, as well as a behind the scenes look at his photo shoot and pics.
“I don’t know, man. I don’t know how the public looks at me…But then I really don’t care anymore, too much, what people say because it’s kind of like I’m trying to prove a point to myself more than anything.” On the delay of his sophomore album, he had this to say about what it’s like to be among hip-hop heavyweights. “Even though I got signed to Def Jam, they were like, ‘you got to give us a reason to put your album out.’ I had to give them incentive to put my album out over a Rick Ross album, or a Rihanna album. I had to show them that I could do something for ‘em.”
Its an aspect of one’s career that you wouldn’t expect out of someone as overtly confident as Big Sean. From interrupting Kanye‘s departure from Hot 102.7 in Michigan one fateful afternoon, to rapping his way to a record deal, to the rapid fire flows he lends to his counterparts’ albums, it seems apparent that Big Sean is on a fast track to legendary. In his opinion, he’s got a long way to go. With platinum plaques, Grammy nominations, a superstar girlfriend and the catalog to back up his braggadocios raps, to some,Hall of Fame may be premature, but he prefers to see it as a foreshadowing.
“I’m still young but, you know, it’s crazy going from the level I went from to the level I was at. Say you found somebody freestyling on the street right now. And they’re a kid. Then, in a matter of a few years, he’s on songs with Jay-Z. That’s a long way. It takes a lot of improving and getting better at making things happen.”
The issue will hit newsstands on August 29th and will be available nationwide on September 3rd.

Lamar Odom has a hardcore drug abuse problem and it's threatening to derail his marriage to Khloe Kardashian, according to TMZ.
TMZ reported on Wednesday (August 23) that Odom has had a substance abuse problem for at least 2 years. Today another report surfaced that his drug of choice is crack cocaine. Odom, who played for the Los Angeles Clippers last season, was forced into rehab by Khloe last August. She was so concerned that he would bolt the facility that she hired private investigators to keep an eye on it 24 hours a day to make sure he wouldn't leave.
Odom stayed for 3 weeks before leaving. He was clean throughout the last basketball season before relapsing.
Things got so bad that the entire Kardashian family staged an intervention last week to convince the NBA player to get clean, but he refused.
After the failed intervention, Khloe booted him from their home. No divorce papers have been filed by either one of them as of yet, but the marriage is definitely in trouble.
Odom's future in the NBA is unknown. The league does offer a drug rehabilitation program for players who admit to a substance abuse problem or test positive for a banned substance.
**UPDATE**
Lamar Odom has gone missing and nobody can locate him, according to TMZ
The basketball player has been out of contact with everyone, including family and friends for the last 72 hours. The primary concern is that he is somewhere on a crack binge.
**UPDATE** August 26
We're happy to report that Lamar Odom has been located. ESPN is reporting that the player is in an undisclosed Los Angeles hotel with friends who are trying to help him with an unspecified drug problem.
“Lamar is not missing,” agent Jeff Schwartz told ESPN.com. “His wife knows exactly where he is."
Schwartz would not disclose his clients location, but did add: "Playing in the NBA is still very much a part of Lamar's plans."
Khloe has visited her husband at the hotel and is hoping to get their marriage back together once he is clean. The "Keeping Up with The Kardasians" star tweeted recently that she has grown weary of the negative press.
We'll keep you updated as more information is made available.

Drake has been hit with a lawsuit by a former stylist who claims the rapper stiffed him out of $76,490.
According to TMZ, Drizzy hired stylist Michael Raphael in August 2012 at a rate of $39,583 a month. Services included styling, clothing and graphic design for Drake's company OVO, brand direction and photography.
Additional expenses not included in their deal were incurred by Raphael when he had to shell out money out of his own pockets for items that included travel expenses, stores like Nike, Diesel, American Rag and several boutiques.
The rapper paid his bills to Raphael regularly up until December 2012, when the payments suddenly stopped. That month the stylist says he spent $76,490. He's suing Drake for the amount owed.
According to the report, Drake's use of stylists is nothing new. He regularly spends $30,000 a month employing them. In addition he spends thousands more on jewelry and clothing.

Like almost every other emcee in New York City, Fabolous heard Kendrick Lamar's "Control" verse and had the urge to respond right away.
In a recent interview he explains why he didn't, gives his opinion on some of the responses he's heard so far and says he could have something up his sleeve.
"I almost jumped the gun I'm not gonna lie, but I'll kind of feel it out. And an OG also told me that if you do... do it on your own time where it works for you. Don't just try to do it to feed the Twitter mentions kind of thing," Fab said. "Nothing's surfaced until it needs to be surfaced. I'd rather do where it works for me. Maybe my next street single might touch on it."

Lamar Odom is going through a tough period right now, but he has the support of at least 2 fellow NBA stars and possibly the entire league.
