Justin Timberlake is coming to Miley Cyrus' defense after her MTV Video Music Awards performance that caused some backlash among some fans and critics.
JT gave an interview today to radio station Fresh 102.7 and said everyone should just lighten up.
“Listen, man, you know, it’s the VMAs. What did you guys expect?,” Justin said. “I like Miley. I like her a lot. I think, you know, she’s young. She’s letting everyone know that she’s growing up. I just think it’s the VMAs. It’s not like she did it at the GRAMMYs. Let her do her thing. You know?”
He then reminded listeners of past controversial VMA performances.
Audience gasps as Britney Spears strips at the 2000 VMA's
“Madonna: Wedding suit, humping the stage. Britney: Strip tease,” Justin continued. “This is not an uncommon thing. I actually thought all the bears were really cool!”

Shady Records and G-Unit's places in Hip Hop history are still being written, but to date the two companies have helped to make stars out of Obie Trice, D12, Lloyd Banks, Young Buck, The Game, Slaughterhouse, Tony Yayo, Kidd Kidd and Yelawolf.
Of course Eminem was instrumental in helping to launch 50 Cent's career towards superstardom when he and Dr. Dre signed the South Jamaica, Queens, New York emcee to a record deal in 2002. From that point on it's been a wrap for the competition.
Here's some nice throwback footage of Slim Shady and 50 freestyling. There's also a short clip of a bullet-proof vested 50 Cent and Tony Yayo performing the classic song "Life's on the Line."

J. Cole and Diddy apparently had some kind of disagreement last night at an MTV Video Music Awards after-party.
The incident happened at a party being thrown by Jay Z and Diddy at New York City's Dream Hotel. Cole and the Bad Boy Records CEO exchanged words and got into a scuffle, according to Vibe. Cole was reportedly thrown out of the party.

However, Cole's right hand man, Ibrahim Amad, just tweeted that some of the facts of the story are not correct. He denies that Cole was thrown out of the party, but does seem to acknowledge that something happened.
"The Internet is a crazy place you n*ggaz reporting sh*t with no facts, Cole ain't get thrown out no party and he damn sure aint get beat up," Amad wrote.
The D'ussé and Ciroc sponsored event was packed with celebrities. Rihanna, Drake, Kendrick Lamar and Leonardo Dicaprio were all in attendance.
We'll post more details as they become available.
**UPDATE** August 27
Diddy took to Twitter earlier today to deny that there was an altercation.

Twerking has been around for a long time. In predominately African American clubs and even in adult entertainment establishments, this form of dancing is performed by women on a regular basis.
But thanks to Miley Cyrus, a lot of people in mainstream America have suddenly become fascinated with the art of females working their hips and butt to the rhythm of music.
Check out ABC News' scientific explanation of twerking.
Twerking is such a complex, technical subject, only a Ph.D. researcher can explain how the body does what it does to make it happen.
Twerking is a combination movement involving a deep squat and a pelvic tilt, Michelle Olson, a professor of exercise science and a certified strength and conditioning coach at Auburn University in Montgomery, Ala., explained.
“You take a wide stance with your legs turned out at 10 and 2 so your hips are externally rotated,” she said. “Then you pulse up and down as you thrust the pelvis bone forward and back.”
Olson said the booty dancing move is a good “twerkout” for your butt and thighs. It also works the deep muscles of the hips and the core muscles of the lower back and abdominals. She said it will definitely shape and strengthen all those muscles as well as give them the stamina to do activities important to most people heavily involved in twerking like say, picking up a screaming child off the floor.
However, over-twerking might throw out the lower back or make the knees creak, Olson cautioned.
Translation? If you’re over 25, twerking may not be for you.
Pretty funny, now let's see how many new twerking videos hit YouTube....

Producer Young Chop knows Chief Keef very well because he's a Glory Boyz Entertainment artist and also hails from Chicago. However, he still doesn't understand some of the moves Sosa makes.
Chop recently spoke to Vlad TV about Keef linking up with Gucci Mane to form 1017 Glo Gang.
"That's a bunch of bullsh*t," Chop said. "At the end of the day Keef his own boss though. How you gonna go to another man that he's a boss? Like bruh, you just set a whole bar for Chicago. You your own boss. You got your own following. Why would yo go to under a man that's got his own thing that's like you?"
Do you think Gucci and Keef will be able to coexist?
