Birdman's laywers probably aren't getting much sleep these days as the lawsuits keep piling up. The latest suit has been filed by Jas Prince.
Jas is the man responsible for getting Drake signed to Young Money after discovering him. He's filed 2 lawsuits against Cash Money Records. The first one has to do with a deal he negotiated that would net him part of Drake's profits. AllHipHop reported in November that Jas claims he has been paid $1 million, but is owed an additional $4 million.
While that suit is still ongoing, Jas is now taking additional legal steps against Cash Money, owned by Ronald "Slim" Williams and his younger brother Bryan "Birdman" Williams.
TMZ reports that new legal documents have been filed by Jas asking for a full accounting of the money generated by Drake for the label. The sum is estimated to be around $40 million.
Just last week Jas' father, James Prince, CEO of Rap-A-Lot Records released audio telling Birdman he better do right by his son.
This could turn into a long court battle.

Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose are in the middle of divorce proceedings. Wiz was initially seeking joint custody of their song Sebastian, while Amber is asking for full custody.
However, Wiz has changed his mind. He believes his estranged wife is not a good mom and will ask the court to grant him a larger custodial role, according to TMZ.
The rapper's list of complaints include:
-- Amber often stays out all night, requiring that relatives and staff take over
-- The family dog eats its own feces and then licks Sebastian's face
-- When she wakes up she'll play with the kid for 15 minutes or so and then disappear
-- Amber and her mom have a volatile relationship, laced with "shouting matches and vulgar exchanges," which upset the boy. And during the arguments the N word was hurled by Amber's mom
The "We Dem Boyz" rapper is bringing in witnesses to help bolster his case. He's expected to file the necessary paperwork soon.

When Houston rapper Jefe Wine (aka Maurice Williams) filed for divorce from Iggy Azalea in October 2014, claiming the two were common law married, he was dismissed be many as being a bitter ex-boyfriend with an ax to grind.
That may very well turn out to be true, but Jefe now has at least one person who may be able to help him back up his claim.
On Monday, February 16, 2015, TMZ reported that a Houston doctor says that Iggy introduced Jefe as her husband during a visit to his clinic in 2008. The doctor goes on to say that the couple stood out to him because "she was a white Australian female and he was a taller black man."
The former couple dated from 2008 to last year, according to the report. Nobody is disputing the fact that the two lived together in both Houston and Atlanta. In fact, Iggy is suing Jefe for allegedly stealing data that included unfinished music from her hard drive during that time.
The State Law website defines what qualifies as a common law marriage in Texas.
A valid common law marriage in Texas is where a man and woman become husband and wife without getting a marriage license and having a marriage ceremony. Once established, a common law marriage has the same legal effect as a ceremonial marriage.
To have a common law marriage in the state, you must do three things:
(1) Agree to be married
(2) Live together as husband and wife, and
(3) Told others (hold yourselves out) that you are married. In What Ways Do People “Hold Themselves Out” as Married?
Simply put, by telling others that they are married. Examples of telling other people you are married include:
• Introducing yourselves as a married couple; or
• Doing something that made people think you were married, like signing credit applications as a married couple.Even if you said that you were married only one time, you can meet this requirement.
If what the doctor is saying is true Jefe would seem to have a case. If a judge rules in his favor he could wind up with half of Iggy's property accumulated during their time together.
For the record, Iggy denies ever presenting herself as Jefe's wife.
